Hi friends, On 31st March, we've enjoyed a lot in CMC. We are having softskills class by Feroz. He told us that we would've an interactive session, since some of our classmates went for an interview at Chennai.

Feroz told all of us to take a small piece of paper each, and asked us to write our name followed by our friends name and any activity you wish you want our friend to perform. Feroz also warned us that there is a twist in this, so, I sat beside Harish, we discussed about the situation and we wrote the activities which are easy for us both, I told Harish to assign me drawing a picture, surprisingly Harish asked me to assign him, drawing a cartoon. This was very easy for both of us especially Harish, who won National level Gold Medal in Drawing, he received at Ravindra Bharathi, and myself I just ♥ drawing. Then after everyone finished writing the chits and Feroz collected them, after collecting Feroz told us the twist, that is the activity which we wrote for our friend to be done, it should be done by the writer him/herself. Both Harish and myself, took a long breath because we knew it coming. This result in the following, hmmmmmmmmmm

Roopkund - Skeleton Lake

here is mysterious lake in the magnificent Gharval Himalaya - Roopkund. For more than 1000 years around the lake lie several hundreds of dead people which most likely died in an extreme hailstorm.

Roopkund (Skeleton Lake) is a glacial lake in Uttarakhand state of India famous due to more than five hundred skeletons found at the edge of a lake. The location is uninhabited and is located in Himalaya at an altitude of about 5,029 metres (16,499 feet). The skeletons were rediscovered in 1942 by a Nanda Devi game reserve ranger H K Madhwal, although there are reports about these bones from late 19th century. Earlier it was believed by specialists that the people died from an epidemic, landslide or blizzard. The carbon dating from samples collected in the 1960s vaguely indicated that the people were from the 12th century to the 15th century.

In 2004, a team of Indian and European scientists visited the location to gain more information on the skeletons. The team uncovered vital clues including jewellery, skulls, bones and preserved tissue of bodies. DNA tests on the bodies revealed that there were several groups of people including a group of short people (probably local porters) and a taller group who were closely related - with DNA mutations characteristic for Kokanastha Bramins in Maharashtra. Though the numbers were not ascertained, remnants belonging to more than 500 people have been found and it is believed that even more than six hundred people perished. Radiocarbon dating of the bones at Oxford University Radiocarbon Accelerator Unit determined the time period to be AD 850 ±30 years.

After studying fractures in the skulls, the scientists in Hyderabad, Pune and London determined that the people died not of disease, but of a sudden hailstorm. The hailstones were as large as cricket balls, and with no shelter in the open Himalayas, all of them perished. Furthermore, with the rarefied air and icy conditions, many bodies were well preserved. With landslides in the area, some of the bodies made their way into the lake. What is not determined was where the group was headed to. There is no historical evidence of any trade routes to Tibet in the area but Roopkund is located on important pilgrimage route of Nanda Devi cult with Nanda Devi Raj Jat festivities taking place approximately once per 12 years.

Tourism

Roopkund is a picturesque and beautiful tourist destination in the Himalayas, located near the base of two Himalayan peaks: Trisul (7120 m) and Nandghungti (6310 m). A religious festival is held at the alpine meadow of Bedni Bugyal every autumn with nearby villages participating. A larger celebration, the Nanda Devi Raj Jat, takes place once every twelve years at Roopkund. Skeleton lake is covered with ice for most of the time during the year. However, the journey to Roopkund is an enjoyable experience. All along the way, one is surrounded by mountain ranges from all sides.

There are different routes for a trek to Roopkund. Generally, trekkers and adventurers travel to Lohajung or Wan by road. From there, they climb a hillock at Wan and reach Ran ki Dhar. There is some flat area where trekkers can camp for the night. If the sky is clear, one can see Bedni Bugyal and Trisul. The next camping spot is at Bedni Bugyal, which is 12–13 km from Wan. There is a huge grazing ground for mules, horses and sheep. There are two temples and a small lake that add to the beauty of this place. One can see many Himalayan peaks from Bedni Bugyal bridge. Trekkers then go up to Bhaguwabasa, which is 10–11 km from Bedni Bugyal. The climate at Bhaguwabasa is hostile for most of the year. One gets a closer view of Trisul and other peaks higher than 5000 metres. Many waterfalls and landslides are visible on the extreme slopes of the surrounding mountains. From Bhaguwabasa, trekkers either go to Roopkund and come back or they go to Shila Samundra (Ocean of Stones) via Junargalli Col Pass, which is just above the lake, and then proceed with the trek up to Homkund.

Intro

Mostly, these are Unicode-encoded special text characters. I picked some cool and unusually-looking symbols for my collection. You can find here funny chinese signs, cross, peace symbol, cool skull, and lots more. People usually use them in facebook status, to make text emoticons, nicknames or whatever. So use your imagination and have fun, lucky.

How to use
Just copy-paste symbols that you like into your status, comments, messages. Just to save your time, note that due to recent update, Facebook won't let you put them into your name.

Though, strangely, it seems like some symbols can form "combos" (like in video games) =) and don't work if you put them one after another. So if you see some of your symbols turning into squares after you have put some new symbol into the input field - that might be a problem. To solve it just press "Ctrl" + "Z" and don't put these troublemaker symbols. Or put them in a first place.

Big font
It seems like there is no way to style your text in facebook profile. So it's not likely that you'll be able to make your text symbols bigger. Neither you'll be able to paint them with the color you want. Only on your own site, or in "notes".

Allu Arjun (Telugu: అల్లు అర్జున్, born 8 April 1982) is a telugu actor who has appeared in Telugu language films. Coming from a family long associated with Telugu cinema, Allu Arjun is the son of producer, Allu Aravind, whilst other notable relatives include uncles Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, whilst cousin Ram Charan Teja also stars in films. Known for his films which target the family audience, Allu Arjun has won major credits including Filmfare and Nandi Awards for his acting.

Allu Arjun's debuted in K. Raghavendra Rao's Gangotri and then played the lead role in 2004 campus-love film, Arya, portraying a student pursuing "one-side love" on the female lead. Whilst his initial films established his fanbase, more recent roles including that in Arya 2 , a sequel to his 2004 hit, focussed on Allu Arjun's stylish avatar whilst in the recent success,Vedam, Allu Arjun appeared in a character role as one of the five leads.

Allu Arjun got engaged to Sneha Reddy on 26 November 2010 in Hyderabad.

Career

Early career

Allu Arjun was born in Chennai, India. His first lead role was in Gangotri, directed by K.Raghavendra Rao. His second role was in Arya, released in 2004, which became a Huge success at the box office. It was the role that first made Allu Arjun a common name among youths.

In 2005, his third film Bunny was released.It was a decent hit. He had a hatrick of hits. His fourth film Happy which was released in 2006, had a Average run at Box Office. The film did, however, manage to make a decent profit in the Indian movie screens in U.S.

Success: 2007 - present

In 2007, his fifth film, Desamuduru, directed by Puri Jagannadh, proved to be a box office hit and the first hit of the year in Tollywood. The movie grossed 12.58 crores in the first week of its release and he became the first tollywood hero to sport a six pack . In the same year, he also made a guest appearance in his uncle Chiranjeevi's film, Shankar Dada Zindabad.

In May 2008, his sixth film Parugu, directed by Bhaskar, was released. All of Allu Arjun's movies have been translated and dubbed into Malayalam. Desamudrudu was renamed Hero and Parugu was renamed Krishna and Gangotri was renamed Simhakutty(lioncub). This made him accessible to audiences in the state of Kerala, where he has been well-received.

For 2009, Arjun had only one release, Arya 2, which had the same story line of the 2004 hit film Arya, which also starred Arjun in the lead role. The film was directed by Sukumar who directed the first film. Kajal Agarwal, Navdeep, andShraddha Das co-star with Arjun in Arya 2.Though released in political crisis,the movie was able to earn an amount of 33 crores at the box-office..Despite mixed reviews in the beginning, arya 2 was accepted as a critical success and it featured in the nominations of the Best Movie category in every major awards funtion in the Telugu Film industry.He then did a big budget movie named Varudu directed by Gunasekhar which was released in 2010 and it was an average film both critically and commercially.

After Varudu, he did an all-star feature, Vedam with Manchu Manoj and actress Anushka Shetty, directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (known for his famous film, Gamyam). He delivered his career best action in Vedam. Vedam was critically praised the movie and also well received by the general audience. It has also been said that Allu Arjun will marry his love in February 2011. Confirmation by Allu Aravind has been done in an interview with Tv9. Allu arjun will be getting married to his fiancee sneha reddy from hyderabad.they are engaged in december and It has been said that the marriage will happen on March 26, 2011. It has also been heard that his upcoming movie "Badhrinaadh" will be releasing in March 27, 2011, the next day of his marriage.

Geetha Arts, the production banner owned by his father Allu Aravind, is producing a mega budget movie titled Badhrinaadh. It is directed by V V Vinayak and will be acting along with Tamannaah . The estimated budget of the movie is Rs 35 crores. The shooting of the movie begun in July 2010.

Halo Movie

At the Future of Television East conference last week, Microsoft's Frank O'Connor sat on a panel that focused on the grail of transmedia.

Halo's franchise development director is a shortish, stocky guy who looks like a feisty boxer. And he's proud bordering on arrogant about the lauded series of games that sold so many Xboxes. "We want to have Halo on any screen we have access to," said O'Connor. That would be the height of ubiquity indeed.

After the panel, a high level network executive came up up to O'Connor and said, "We want to do something with Halo."

O'Connor shot back, "Bring piles of money."

The executive, taken aback, responded, "For Halo, we will."

Moments later, I spoke with O'Connor in a lounge area, fashioned for the event by conference producers outside NYU's new Stern school of business auditorium.

The first thing O'Connor said was, "There will be a Halo movie."

Still? After all these years, after the end of Peter Jackson as the director and Denzel Washington as the star, you're still talking about it?

"Everyone wanted to do a Halo movie, the director, Microsoft, the highest placed people at movie companies."

So what happened? "It was the lawyers," said O'Connor. "When they went behind closed doors with the contracts, things fell apart." O'Connor said that the primary sticking point was the fact that Microsoft owns all rights to Halo, and that means licensing as well. "The problem was that the movie company couldn't make any money beyond the movie."

Hollywood is populated by a weird breed of bean counters and lawyers. They expect, said O'Connor, to make money even on a movie that bombs at the box office, not only through DVD sales, but through licensing products with both alacrity and occasional abandon. They couldn't do that with Halo, so the project grew fallow.

O'Connor is adamant when he says Microsoft would happily permit any prominent director to shine in his or her own way on a Halo film. "If Danny Boyle wants to make a Danny Boyle-style movie, that's great. Let Danny Boyle be Danny Boyle. We would not constrain a director."

But perhaps the smartest place for a Halo project would be at a network like Showtime or HBO. "We'd love to see Halo as a television series. Look what HBO did with Band of Brothers or even Rome. Something like that would work because the Halo universe is so vast." In a miniseries or a longer running series, fans would be treated to deeper, more explorative narrative that drills down deep into the Halo mythos - if the writers and directors were intelligent enough.

Then, he said it again: "There will be a Halo movie. We don't need a movie. But we'd like a movie. We'd like the moms of gamers to see the movies because they would love our characters. Maybe we'll even fund it ourselves."

It makes sense. If a group of fans can make a something as moving as what's below, imagine the possibilities for a Halo movie done right.

Hearing this, the officer immediately called his captain. The car was quickly surrounded by! police, and the captain approached the driver to handle the tense situation.

The Captain asked, "Sir, can I see your license?" The driver answered, "Sure. Here it is." It was valid.

The Captain asked, "Who's car is this?"

The driver answered, "It's mine, officer. Here's the owner' card." The driver owned the car.

The Captain asked, "Could you slowly open your glove box so I can see if there's a gun in it?"

The driver answered, "Yes, sir, but there's no gun in it." Sure enough, there was nothing in the glove box.

The Captain asked, "Would you mind opening your trunk? I was told you said there's a body in it."

The driver answered, "No problem." Trunk is opened; no body.

The Captain said, "I don't understand it. The officer who stopped you said you told him you didn't have a license, stole the car, had a gun in the glovebox, and that there was a dead body in the trunk."

The driver answered, "Yeah, I'll bet the lying s.o.b. told you I was speeding, too!"
