Buffalo Rapper J-Batters (Kenneth Pettway Jr) faces Federal Racketeering charges! Read article and full indictment below!

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Six members of the Bailey Boys Gang and an associate are charged with racketeering, drug and murder charges.

A federal grand jury returned a 24-count Superseding Indictment charging members of the Bailey Boys Gang with violent crimes in aid of racketeering, narcotics trafficking and firearm offenses.

Charged in the Indictment are: Kenneth Pettway, Jr., 28; Demetrius Black, 36; Tyrone Brown, 20; Tyriq Brown, 20; Quinton Thompson, 23; Eddie Allen, 22; and Montell Jones, 23. All the defendants live in Buffalo.

According to the indictment, defendants Pettway, Tyrone Brown, Tyriq Brown, Allen, Thompson and Jones allegedly committed a number of violent acts while members of the "Bailey Boys," a criminal gang that operated in the City of Buffalo in an area bounded by Winspear Avenue, the Kensington Expressway, Eggert Road and Main Street.

Demetrius Black is an alleged associate of the "Bailey Boys."

According to the Indictment, the gang, which was also known as "Bailey and Minnesota" and "Six Deuce," essentially controlled criminal activity in the gang's territory, committing murders, attempted murders, drive-by shootings, distribution of narcotics and robberies.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Sources say a woman has died after being shot in the head Wednesday morning, in a building at ECMC.
The shooting happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Miller Building on the ECMC campus. Crews are searching for the shooter.

FATAL SHOOTING IN BUFFALO HOSPITAL

ECMC is in lockdown, Buffalo SWAT and Homeland Security are on the scene. Nearby school Lydia T. Wright School is also on lockdown for safety purposes.

News 4 has spoken with Sergio Martinez, who says he has heard from his wife who is inside ECMC. She told him she cannot use her phone, but has said she is OK through text messages, Wednesday morning.

News 4 will bring you the latest information as it becomes available.
