Magick by using the evolution of the spirit

This can be done for purposes regarding one's own life. If the theories about the evolution of the spirit are true then it may be possible to create change in one's life just by thinking about conditions and trying to understand them. To better understand what that means, let's summarize spiritism in the sense of evolution of the spirit.

Spiritism says that every person comes to this life (reeincarnation) over and over to evolve and understand. This understanding covers everything in one's life. The conditions in which a person lives is determined by the terms according to his/her specific needs for evolution of his/her spirit. And when the person understands his/her lesson on that particular subject, conditions change.

So, for example, assume that you are in a relationship which goes really unhappy. If you take the time and meditate on your relationship with a question in mind such as "why, why on earth do I have to live through this" and if you can achieve to understand the message there, your relationship might change.

By saying "message" I don't mean a new agee approach. First of all, there is no single message in one's life span and there is no single aim of life, at least in my opinion. What I mean is a real advancement of your psyche. According to spiritism, you come across events where your spirit will be developed by them. If you try to speed up the process in which you get the hang of things a little faster, then your life will unfold towards better experiences. At least on those areas where you "suffer" now.

Since this work leads to a change in your environent and in events, people, etc. you are surrounded by, you can call this magick too.

Improving your imagination

So you wanna be a magician? Then you should work on and study imagination in all aspects. Francis Bardon begins the education of magick in his famous book Initiation into Hermetics with imagination. Every cult, every magickal order have imagination at the core of their teaching even if they are not aware of the fact.

So, what can you do in order to develop your imagination and improve it. I assume that you have already read and tried many traditional ways of imagining things and events. I suggest you to use digital images and videos to enhance your imagination. Doesn't that sound authentic? Does it sound not old enough?

When I was studying Havass (islamic magickal system), I noticed something. When a new talisman or a magick square is going to be told, it reads "find a clean piece of paper". Now that was interesting. Why would I use a not-clean paper for any type of magick I want to operate on? Then it hit me. Those texts were written hundreds of years ago and finding a clean piece of paper was whether difficult or really expensive.

However, we live in the 21st century and we have access to many different tools in comparison to the past. We should use them. We should use any tool that could improve our imagination. You can find related images for your work on the net and you can look at them for the sake of imagination. If it is necessary, you can spend hours staring at a picture so that you can have all the feelings necessary to create the energy for your work.

I think you get the idea.

Rising on the planes 3 Interviewing Seta

First of all, I am sorry. I apologize for the infrequent posting. I promised to post often but I couldn't. Well, below is a kind-of-an-interview we've done with Seta. I've put my explanations and interpretations in parentheses. And I tried to organize the material according to topic.

On magic:

So far in this time (21st century), as if it was in the past 500 years for you, you mostly paid attention to written pieces of knowledge (grimoires) to learn and implement magic. You should have known that it is not going to work. It never did. They worked only for people who had written them.

If you try and remember what worked for you, you then should realize that what worked was feelings of rush of magical power within you. And that's all about it.

You should also know that magic is your right and duty. It's not only your right or it's not only a duty. You can't pass the exam, you can't move to the next class if your behavior is lazy about magic. You should learn it as if you are learning to walk.

On 2012:

You'r expectations about 2012 are mostly in the wrong direction. The assessment of the Mayan Prophecies are true. The thing is, you are going to have a rearrangement of disciplines, you will change the ways you work and share (redistribution of income) and the way you get educated. And that's all about it.

On death:

Don't think that too much is going to change when you die. Death isn't a big change. You should have known this from the tarot. Death is like an interchange in the metro station. Nothing less, nothing more. Re-incarnation is not part of your death experience. Although it is inevitable, you should not deal with re-incarnation when you think about death. Re-incarnation is like breathing. Do you think about it? Do you try to maintain your breath? You don't have to.

Instead, you should think and try to improve your vibration, frequency about the next thing you are going to have. It's like choosing from the menu however you need to be able to read more items from the menu in order to be able to choose something more enjoyable, if that's what you wish.

On new age literature:

This is lame, mostly (lame is my wording). This is being done by the one who did that before. Religion is all you need to get rid of and new age is trying to replace the religion. If you get too much into it, that means you are not free from religion. Religion is like bad medicine. It doesn't cure, yet it transforms you into living batteries for something you cannot ever imagine. There have been only a handful people who understood the mechanism behind it and could avoid from it.

At any given time, if you are not working or not having a rest and you are not in joy, you are in trouble. You need to develop your cognition to a point where you no longer get oppressed or distressed by the conditions you are surrounded by but to think and overcome the situation.

In general:

The most important thing in this world you have to work on is your cognition. You should enhance your cognition, problem solving skills, ability to love and embrace being loved.

So, that was a summary about what Seta told us in the past year.

Rising on the planes 2

Previously, I have written about Seta. I have explained how we met and what she taught about. Now, in this second part, I am going to delve into practical magick right away. This is not the sequence which Seta followed while she taught me everything but the sequence doesn't have an importance right now. We'll begin with love spells. Magick about romantic and erotic affairs. Let's begin with some conceptual framework. The following explanations belong to Seta. I just paraphrased them mildly because like I have told you in my last post, our conversation in the beginning was way too mechanical.

Love, according to your era is all about miscommunication. Therefore, you need to get the help of Mercury as well as Venus when you will engage with love spells and/or talismans. You need to construct a story where Mercurial and Venusian forces affect the objective. For instance, a basic construct of a love talisman should look like this:

In this picture, the pentagram stands for the direction of power or energy which flows from Venus and Mercury down to a person who's name is Laurelle. The pentagram is green because of the traditional color of Venus. The name in the center of the pentagram is mirrored. It represents that we are going to affect the person on a deeper, more spiritual level. In other words, we are going to do this operation on the other side of the mirror. Then, the Laurelle we are working on will be affected in the mundane world (may be considered as malkuth, tough not quite the same thing).

This is the talisman. You have to add another name if you are not the one who wants Laurelle but only doing this, let's say, for a friend. In that case, your friend's name is to be added somewhere between the mirrored Laurelle and the planetary symbols.

The talisman is to be prepared on a Friday (Venus) morning, or a Tuesday (beginning of Mars' day) evening. Then you have to make up your mantra and meditate on it for seven days (why seven? because venus is still the most important planetary force in that operation). You should expect the effects within 21 days.

You should make up your own mantra and you should use your native language but you should use the logic in sigils while preparing your mantra. The more meaningless, the better the outcome. For instance, you can mix the names Laurelle, Venus, Mercury, Love, and your name in a fashion where you can produce a special mantra just for this operation. And there must be a short vibration. Let's have a look at our example:

With Laurelle, Venus, Mercury, Love and my name Chaos, I have those letters (using the logic for a sigil): L, R, V, N, S, M, C, Y, H. Let's move on from there and create this mantra: CYHAN SAOMEE LAARVIAN. It's ok to make up and add some random vowels. You should repeat that mantra each day a certain number of times, which should be determined by a certain rule such as the multiplication of your age and her age. For instance, if you are 27 and Laurelle is 24, you should repeat your mantra 24x27 = 648 times a day for seven days.

There are no entities, no thought-forms, no creatures of any kind involved in this type of an operation. It just works with your energy with the help of the planetary forces.

It would be more powerful if you take your time and do some breathing exercises before you begin each ritual.

In fact, if you are talented and experienced enough, everything can be accomplished by sitting before a huge pentagram and meditating on the desired outcome. However, most people cannot concentrate on that level.

That was a simple magickal operation, a love spell, as described by Seta. I'll add more of them as soon as possible.

Rising on the planes 1

I knew this time would eventually come. It started last year and I have posted some of this experience in different forms on this blog. However, when it comes to occult knowledge and culture, there is vast amount of difference in perspectives and definitions, therefore it is hard for a novice to tell whether she has been in an astral plane or in another sphere of existence or just in alpha state. Isn't it possible that all those definitions indicate the same experience for any magician in any level of experience? It is very possible. The truth is, there is no absolute truth at all when it comes to a magickal operation or a magickal school of thought and practice.

Having said that, lets talk about a little bit on how is it possible to produce a magickal effect without using any physical tools whatsoever. But before that, let me ask you this one important question: Is it possible that magickal weapons have any significance? Can you find and use John Dee's wand (if there was any) and produce decent magickal effects with that? Do you think it might be useful for you to bring Crowley's sword (if there was any) to your ritual?

First of all, I don't reject the idea of an accumulation of a certain type of energy in a magickal tool. Once, I slept with a t-shirt which I have used in a magickal operation (to fold around a wax-doll for physical protection purposes while carrying it in a backpack) and my sleep was not full of nightmares but there were enough of them to remind me the effect. However, apart from this energetic effect, would it be useful for a person who would take my t-shirt and try to use it in magickal purposes? I don't really think so. Most probably, he will only have one or two harmless nightmares while he sleeps or some mild headache and nothing beyond.

Second, I want to evaluate mantras and similar words in effect. As most of the readers of this blog know, Jupiter's number is four and you repeat everything four times when you address Jupiter in a ritual. Some say that the vibration is important, others say that there is an accumulation of energy in those words just because people used them for thousands of years. Then why, why on earth should we perform a long ritual with all those hexagrams, pentagrams, swords, daggers, robes... why isn't it sufficient to vibrate all the right words?

Those two examples should lead you to think and try to exceed your current perspective. This is a difficult and tense matter, therefore I will not go into detail and force the issue further.

Let's come back to our main topic: Rising on the planes.

After a year of hard work on magick in almost all types of schools and alike, I had some contact with Isis. After a certain period of time, an imaginary place had emerged with very precise details. The reason that I don't tell you the whole picture is not to influence your imagination. You need a clean imagination to start with, because imagination is the key to further discovery of such "places". If I now go about filling your mind with some descriptions, you would get stuck with a preconditioned imagination. A preconditioned (or conditioned in any conventional way apart from self-managed conditioning) imagination for a magician is the key to failure.

Some day (actually night) a couple of months ago, while searching for something in the backyards of that imaginary place, I came across with an entity (spirit? demon? who is going to decide that?) who calls herself Seta (or Sata). I am calling her a she because she was in the form of a female human being. It was easy to contact her although our contact in the beginning was very mechanical (such as yes or no's or very rough explanations). From all the bibliotheque I have read so far, I immediately thought that she is going to lead me to different spheres or different dimensions so to say (some call this a plane, plane of existance: e.g. astral plane, physical plane, etc.). However this wasn't how it happened. We had minor conversations for almost 2 months. Conversations were about both private magickal practice and general information on dimensions and planes of existence. Then Seta told me that she is going to leave me and my imaginary workplace since she (kind of) decided that I am not quite ready to learn more than what she already told me. She also told me that ordinary magick we talked about with her is just enough to achieve almost every purpose in the mundane world. Finally, she added that it is not possible to know by now whether we are going to "see" each other again or not.

In the days coming, I am going to post about the magick that she taught as well as some concepts we talked about.

Chaos Magick is all the magick you have out there

In the past couple of months, my studies on magick have been so intensive that I even couldn't find the time to post something new on this blog. I have been through numerous attunements of several kinds of reiki as well as other forms of energy. I have been experimenting with almost all of them.

At the same time, on the other hand, I was also reading almost non-stop. I studied some of old Turkish grimoires (most of them were islamic magick, inevitably but not all of them). I have also studied many blogs of contemporary, young magicians.

I came to a (temporary) conclusion: Chaos magick is all we have about magick. Here is why: Past grimoires (which are in fact a book of shadows, each of them) won't work. They will not work because either they are plain false or they are an accumulation of a very personal knowledge which is not valid for anybody else but that magician herself.

Why is this so?

Because ordinary magick is your own power. Period. You can do magick with just knowing that magick is the ability to direct power (energy, will, whatever you want to call it) in a purposeful way, carrying a strong intent or a strong decision.

All other material out there, including daggers, knives, all kinds of athame, all kinds of swords, candles, even rituals are just tools to help you to feel and perceive a certain mood of your mind.

You can do almost all magick concerning the mundane world in just working on it for one hour a day for one week. You will get results within one month. The only thing you have to know and be sure of is, is this: Magick is your own, inner power.

And it will work.

However, you have to keep in mind that I am talking about the kind of magick where you seek change in the mundane world. I mean physical reality. I don't mean about rising on the planes or something you may call "higher magick" where you seek to develop yourself and change yourself and seek wisdom. But even with that, you have to find and develop your own powers, your inner magickal machine so that some day a higher power would find you and be able to approach you and tell you about what to do next. Remember Dee and Kelly, remember Aiwass. There are countless examples of higher beings who only came to the magician after the magician re-discovered himself or herself.

What really is an attunement and an initiation?

As you may have read one of my recent posts, I am now studying reiki. As I have stated in that post, you have to understand that healing is a broader concept than just being about the physical body, or mental illnesses. You can give reiki to your country. You can give reiki to the economic status of your country. You can give reiki to somebody who wants a relationship or a better relationship. As you can see, reiki look like that it has all the tools any magician wants to have. It works on all three popular horoscope categories: love, money, health.

I have seen that reiki works. So, I don't need any further proof for my mind. However, I would like to understand how it works. Some people say that there are reiki guides that do the job. According to this view, those reiki guides are of course thought-forms. One may call them servitors, others may call them high-teachers. It might be called angels. Another explanation is that it's only the universal healing energy and you are being a channel to it.

But in either way, why in the world you need an attunement to achieve all those things? Why do you need an initiation? Don't think that I do not believe in attunements and initiations. I do believe them. I have seen their effect with my naked eyes. So I believe them but I would like to learn what they simply mean?

Here is what I guess: Remember the famous topic about the brain that we only use a small percentage of our brain. I think attunements and initiations help the individual to use more of their mind-powers. I am not really sure whether mind depends on our physical brain or not. I am not sure about to what extent it depends on our brain if it did. But I am highly inclined to believe that attunements and initiations have something to do with this mind-power or your brain or your capability of your soul.

If this is the case, is it then possible to attune herself?

I guess it is but not on every subject. For using different types of reiki, you have to be attuned. For some other subjects, you must do a research. For instance, dhikr (zikr), and / or mantras (I know they are not the same and I am talking for both of them) may lead you to self attunements on certain areas of mind-power.

Maybe you can attune/intitiate yourself into anything but it would just take much longer in comparison to being attuned / initiated by someone else.

How to try it?

I think one good way of trying to attune yourself to some form of energy or some kind of ability (let's say telekinesis) is asking the attunement from your higher self. Meditate on it, try to go to a deep trance, as deep as you can and try to establish a connection with your higher self. When you believe and perceive a connection between you and your higher self, ask an attunement / initiation from him / her (I am not really sure whether one's higher self has a gender. I don't believe it has). So, what would be a really good experience as an attunement? Here are some examples which I am just making up:

My higher self! Please attune / intitiate me into the powers of Isis.

Now that may be too much and that would not be believable enough for you (at least for me). Let's try this:

My higher self! Please attune / intitiate me into the healing powers of Isis.

My higher self! Please attune / intitiate me into the knowledge of motherhood of Isis.

My higher self! Please attune / intitiate me into the magickal knowledge of Isis.

My higher self! Please attune / intitiate me into the frequency and sympathization of Isis so that I can communicate with her.

I think those experiments would be worth trying and I believe they are safe enough to implement.

Of course there are many more things to tell and discuss about attunements and initiations, but people are discussing them everywhere therefore I don't want to take your time for things that you can also read elsewhere in many different places. I just wanted to begin to tell my take on the subject.

Can someone curse himself?

This is going to be a quick post. I am still thinking about it but couldn't wait to share it.

Is it possible that you have cursed yourself? If it is, why and how would you do that? Is it possible to get a clue about this? If you can be sure about that you successfully cursed yourself then how would you banish that curse? Is it ever possible?

Experiencing a cross condition or a curse or a black magick is really difficult. It involves physical and emotional pain. If you are lucky enough to get out of it, you can tell that it's one of your greatest lessons in your whole lifetime.

Sometimes, people think that they are cursed. They can think that for any reason or for no reason at all. Does that count as a self-curse if you think (that is strongly imagine) you are cursed for no reason at all?

I think anybody can curse himself/herself and that curse may be successful. One option is cursing yourself with strong thought-forms, with or without knowing. Only this can be a good reason why everybody on earth has to be taught metaphysics or basics of magick or how thought and words can influence your life and more.

Telepathic connections with Gods and Goddesses as well as planets

I would like to discuss the possibility and efficiency, and maybe reliability of communicating with gods, goddesses, planets and other forms. I had one experience with Isis like this and one experience with the planets Mercury and Jupiter. On another occasion, I had an experience with Thavael just to receive a keyword.

We do magick through rituals, usually. However, this is not the only connection we can establish with forms or beings or gods and goddesses or planets or alike. It is also possible to communicate with them telepathically. Maybe this is the easiest and most convenient way to communicate once you are accustomed with it.

Let me tell you my own experience. A couple of months ago, I wished to communicate with Isis. I stared at several different statues and paintings or drawings of Isis and then I relaxed, closed my eyes and tried to follow any stimulation or perception in my mind. A couple of minutes later, I perceived a couple of cats in front of me, leading me to somewhere between small pyramids and ancient looking buildings. After some more couple of minutes, I came in front of a building where I can sense the presence of Isis inside. Right there, I had a word in my mind which I did not know before. Then I traveled the same way back and opened my eyes and get myself into Google :)

I googled the word which I was introduced by Isis and was not knowing before. The word came out to be one of the definitions of Isis. I was surprised and I was also glad that I have experienced a real communication. There have been more visits to Isis but I don't want to disclose all of them at this moment.

Another experience was with Jupiter and Mercury. I was in need of some cash. While I was relaxing in the balcony, I thought of Jupiter and Mercury then I sensed their presence in my mind. I told them my situation telepathically and asked for help. The next day, a client of mine made a payment to me. She paid twice as much as she has to pay, which means she paid for two more sessions in advance (regarding a coaching business). Think about it. I am pretty sure that this was one of the famous unexpected gifts from Jupiter, and Mercury in combination.

The experience with Thavael was somehow indirect, at least in the beginning. I met a girl who told me about her own experiences with Thavael and suggested me to try to connect with him. I tried and meditated on a sigil of Thavael. Then I sensed two people in front of me with my mind's eye. They were a couple I guess. There was a figure on the clothing of them (again, I don't want to disclose the figure because it was a key). Then I told the word to my friend and she was shocked because that was exactly what she was after, as a sign regarding Thavael.

So, there are many more experiences like this which I had in the last couple of months. Now, if it is reallt possible to establish a telepathic connection to them, this can be a replacement for ritual magick? Or should that be considered as an entirely different form of a magickal operation?

Integrating reiki and similar energies into your magickal operations

First things first. Let's have a rough look on what reiki and similar energies are and what a magickal operation basically is. Then we could easily understand how and why one can integrate reiki and alike energy systems into her magickal operations.

Reiki is a process directing energy into somebody else's body. This energy is being defined as the universal energy or the universal healing energy. In fact rei means "hi" and reiki means something along the lines with "hello energy" but that's another issue. Anybody who is tense about the meaning of reiki can call the nearest Japanese consulate and ask for what rei means, period.

Let's get back to our topic. Reiki is about directing certain energies into certain people, objects, events, relations etc. That is, reiki is not only used for healing purposes. In other words, healing doesn't only apply to people's physical bodies. The idea and the concept goes beyond alternative methods of medical healing. You can "give" reiki to an object, a broken something for instance, or to a discharged battery, or to a broken harddisk, or to a broken relationship, etc.

So, what we do in a magickal operation? Whether it's ritualistic or it's in any other method or school, we are basically directing energy from one point to another point. We are directing an energy with meaning (like a data packet) to a person's body, to a broken harddisk, to a broken relationship (or to a relationship that we want to break) etc.

Although traditional western magicians and orders usually do not emphasize healing (they even reject the idea of using magick for healing in general, I am not really sure why), that doesn't mean that a magickal operation is all about directing energy.

Once you understand this, you can easily integrate reiki and similar energy techniques into your magickal operations. You can give reiki to your sigils, servitors, candles, ritual tools, stones, and you can also fill them with your intention via the tools that reiki has to offer.

Any reiki master / teacher out there will confirm that reiki can be used to fulfill your wishes and change the cosmos according to your will. They will o course add that you can do this only when your intention is coherent with the good of the universe. They will say that you cannot kill anybody with reiki, the system would not allow that. I am not sure about it. I don't want to kill anybody but I would like to know whether one can really use reiki to make somebody sick or not.

Using reiki in your magickal operations is in fact far more easier than using any other method because reiki does not depend on your own abilities. Any average stupid person out there like me can cure a headache with reiki. Thus, it is possible to direct energy to any positive affirmation or intention or sigil or a servitor whatsoever.

I'll write more about this in the future and I'll answer possible questions about it.

Wealth and magical practice 2

When I study magical practice concerning wealth, I realize that wealth on an astral plane is very, very abstract in comparison to what we experience here on earth, I mean the physical plane. That makes it more and more difficult.

When you want to work on love, hate, health, etc., those concepts are really easy to imagine in the astral plane and do whatever you want to do with them. You can take anybody anytime, imagine his/her form in the astral plane and then work on that form. You can heal someone, make someone sick, make someone lose his/her sanity and then finally you can have the desired outcome.

Disturbing or destructing wealth is easy in that sense because it has many correspondence you can find easily. When someone got sick for a long time, it is obvious that his/her wealth will be affected in a negative way. However, how to enable magical forces for yourself or someone to create or increase wealth? When you work on someone and make him/her sick, it's pretty sure that you can make them worsen their wealth but healing someone doesn't necessarily lead to a consequence where he/she can work more in terms of business or be luckier than the past and thus create or increase their wealth.

Therefore, building or increasing wealth is easier when the target has an already established business and he/she can tell you about prospects, potential clients/buyers/contractors etc. Then you can work on those people easily to make them act for the benefit of this person. Then, wealth comes in the form of increased sales, it's that easy.

But again, you didn't do anything concerning finances, money itself. You worked on people, influenced their flow of thought and emotions and you made them act towards new business, sale, and alike.

So, in that sense, so far, it is obvious that magical practice for developing/improving your finances means working with other people's forms or spirits or souls or minds or whatever you want to call them.

Even in the case of an isolated island where you have to live forever and you need food, this still means you will work with the souls and minds of some animals, trees, flora etc.

You can easily affect the minds of hundreds of fish and then you can catch them.

Therefore, it's time to remember that magic is not something very far from the conditions of a physical plane. What you do by heating the water and combining it with some filtered coffee is already a magical process. As a result, you manifest a cup of coffee.

When you buy flowers for your date, it's magic. You play with her mind. You already know (kind of an esoteric knowledge) she will be affected in a romantic way when you hand her a bunch of flowers and you do it.

So, if you want to create wealth, increase it or improve your financial status, the key isn't money itself. It's not about turning stone into gold. It's mostly about finding, figuring out people who will be profitable for you when you interact with them and then finding proper ways to influence them in order to make them act.

That's my opinion so far. I am sure I will come up with different views on this. Time will tell.

Wealth and magickal practice

For the last couple of months, I've been thinking about why I am so successful on health but not so successful on wealth. By wealth, I mean money. I am not alone. I see many people who have been successful on many areas in magickal practice but not on money. There must be a reason for this.

One of the possible reasons I think is that money may be more sacred than other things in this world. Let's go back to history, where early temples were in fact granaries. A granary is a building where you place food.

Today, the primary reason why we work is food. We all have our day jobs for primarily one thing, to go to the supermarket and buy food. We do it with money. This can be a strong magickal connection between what is sacred and money.

So, when you try to materialize money, you are trying to manifest something very sacred, which is one of the causes that we are here. It is food that makes it possible for us to live.

Other reasons might be the notion of scarcity. When you manifest health, you don't cause any other person to become less healthy. However, when you manifest money, you are the cause of the fact that somebody will earn less. Suppose that you have a business about a certain sector and you manifest a successful business through magick. Suppose that you sell cars and you succeed in selling many, many cars. This suggests that other car sellers are selling less just because you sell more.

But again, the notion of being sacred about money holds valid here too.

This is just the beginning of a long brainstorming...

For the last weeks, I think to myself whether a name should really be given to a certain servitor while creating it or not. While I have respect to all schools of magick and almost all of them suggest to uniquely name your servitors, I don't really think that this is a must, especially if the servitor is only for your own use.

When you create a servitor, it is already indexed in your thought and consciousness as well as unconsciousness uniquely. Of course if you work in a group, then naming servitors could be a convenience. The reason behind uniquely naming a servitor is that you don't want other people to call or invite your servitors. So, by this logic, if you don't name them, how can other people call them?

Therefore, I have concluded that it is the best practice not to name your servitors when you create them for your own personal use.

Any ideas?

Magical experience and everyday life

I would like to evaluate the difference between sacred and profane from a magical perspective.

I am really not sure whether we have to know the mechanism behind any magickal procedure. I am sure that looking for evidence is a waste of time but mechanism is not evidence. At least, I don't seek information about magical procedure and mechanism for evidence. I am convinced by personal experience.

On the other hand, while looking for the mechanism of magic, one starts thinking about a unity of the knowledge. Consistency, consistency as in science. We suppose that gravity exists through the whole universe. Similarly, I assume that magick is coherent 7/24.

Magick is not something you do in certain times and then there is this "real" world out there. I just think that we already live in magick. The same is valid for any so called metaphysical or supernatural phenomena. There is really no difference between seeing a cat on the street and seeing an entity or a form on the street. The cat is in fact a form. Both cats and forms are neither sacred nor profane in my opinion.

So, if you are skilled enough, you can manifest virtually everything, every day. Think about your psychic experience. Psychic communication does not have preconditions to occur. While you may not know when you will have this experience, there is also no certain time and place for that.

While thinking about subjective and objective reality last week, I was also thinking about this everyday life issue.

The question of subjective and objective reality

When you look at concepts like intention & manifestation, you start thinking about reality. People defending the law of attraction against arguments like "what if everybody wants the same thing" are saying that reality is subjective and there are parallel universes, so everybody is experiencing their own universe. That means, when your intentions are in conflict with somebody else's intentions, they say that you attracted that conflict into your universe.

My intuition tells me that we are living in both of those realities together. It is somehow in harmony. We live in a subjective reality where all of our intentions find their place and manifest, and we also live in an objective reality where this objective reality consists of other's subjective realities. In other words, when you sum up all other people's subjective reality and intentions, what comes out is your objective reality.

When you think like this, you can explain almost everything. There is a God that is manifested by billions of people's intentions. This God may play an important role in your life as part of an objective reality. We have something like gravity which can also be considered as an objective reality because it may have been manifested by all of us. So strong that only a handful of people can stay away.

A combination of subjective reality and an objective reality which is created (manifested) by other people makes sense to me. Let's play with this. If I go to fight with a magician who is stronger than me, I may fail. What makes him stronger than me? I think his strength comes from the size of his subjective reality. Ok, let's compare this with less freudian terms. If a magician's subjective reality (that is his power of intention, imagination, knowledge, etc.) is more stable than mine, or if his subjective reality is more dominant than mine, he can beat me and win the fight. My plan and design and intentions in my subjective reality is not sufficient because there is this objective reality for me which consists of other people's subjectivity including this magicians.

I am not sure if I could make myself clear...

Experiences in magick using affirmations

I have different experiences recently. For the last two days, I started using affirmations. I would like to keep the topic private since it is something personal but that doesn't prevent me to share my experience.

This was similar to concentration and imagination in my mind, but closer to sigilization. I have repeated a sentence tens of times within a day, three or four times in a day. Then I saw some signs of progress. I say signs because that was only a small fraction of what I actually wanted. I accept them as progress because there wasn't any difference before I hold on to my affirmations.

I still wonder how this works. Is it something like nlp? I don't think so because nlp is similar with eft (emotional freedom techniques) and those are very psychological not very magickal. This is similar to law of attraction because in the case of affirmations, you don't need much action too. Then is this a result of "consciousness causes collapse"?

Magickal precaution regarding financial crisis

As far as I know the oldest and maybe the most important occult teaching says "thought becomes things".

I guess there will be more attention to magick and other occult topics or faith in general because of the financial crisis. I am sure of that because people usually tend to look for a metaphysical cure when hard times hit.

But more important than that is knowing that thoughts become things and controlling your thoughts in this turmoil.

In other words, people should pay attention not to manifest what they don't want. In such times, it is very easy to manifest what you don't want because of the dominant energy, dominant psychological status of the majority. The majority tends to feel and behave very pessimistic regarding their financial status and it is a dangerous possibility to have this pessimism manifested into reality.

At this time, it is useful to remember that "thoughts become things" is not something you can turn on and off when you want. It's a law like gravity and it's valid all the time, 7/24.

The difference between Law of Attraction and conventional magick

After a week or so of noticing the older black Range Rover, I noticed that it's replaced by a new silver Range Rover exactly like the one I imagined and have plastered all around my home. Oh, there are many other occasions too: my brother's trip to Vegas and the Wynn Hotel that happened for him exactly the way I wanted; my sister's trip to the salon I wanted to visit for a long time; a neighbor making a move exactly like I wanted. The list of these sorts of events "manifestation for others" has been seemingly endless for me!

Why am I accomplishing "magick" or "attraction" for others and not myself? Of course, these events did entertain me but I found them hurtful (because of their exactness) and they made me incredibly jealous. Fortuitously, these events did draw me to this blog and this entry because it was the subject of a burning question for me.

My question would be whether or not you have done a ritual for any of these things, or if you have just thought about them and kind of hoped they would come your way. In the former case, you need to examine and redefine your statement of intent, and in the latter case you need to start using actual magick instead of vaguely focused daydreaming.

While the "law of attraction" model can work if your thoughts are exceptionally clear, a problem with the method is that your desire for a specific outcome often gets mixed up with other aspects of your personality. The actual resulting "intent" can include all sorts of other information besides from the desire itself. One way that I could envision something like this happening in your case might be that you have enough talent to manifest the outcomes you want, but in some way you feel unworthy of receiving the benefits. So the things you visualize happen around you rather than to you.

If you are working formal rituals, make sure that your statement of intent explicitly mentions you receiving the thing you are conjuring for. "It is my will to summon a silver Range Rover" is not sufficient. A statement like that could have produced what you experienced since the Range Rover did appear. With this example, the statement would need to be modified so that it includes acquiring and owning said vehicle.

I had this happening in my personal experience too. I remember once I was using law of attraction to manifest a new notebook computer for myself and that has manifested for a friend of mine within two weeks. She didn't know about my intention.

I think it lies in what Ananael described as "...in some way you feel unworthy of receiving...". I am pretty sure about this. Here is a short relevant blog post: Psychotherapy can make you a better magician.

Here, we can see the use of entities. I understand that an entity you interact and delegate a certain job is performing far more better than your intention (I mean intention alone). Although you must imagine the outcome, formal rituals ensure that the outcome is not affected by your subconscious mind.

I turned those two comments into a blog post because I am impressed by that.

Opposite things may happen while a magickal operation is in progress

Previously, I have written about what to do when a magickal operation is in progress, and I tried to mention how to go about "forgetting" your work, not fretting about it, to hold your intention, etc. Now I want to talk about seemingly opposite things that may happen while a magickal operation is in progress.

When you put your magick into work, you have an intention to create change in the physical plane by using your forces in the astral plane. However, you can't always imagine the whole thing. Therefore, forces you use try to make it happen in several ways, including ways that pass through happenings that you don't actually intent to happen. Let's try to clarify that with a simplified example.

Suppose that there is someone you love at school and you are in your last year. You want to do something to keep in touch with him/her. You want to continue to see the person you love daily. You decide to practice magick with that intention. You put your operation into work and then you see that you have failed many exams and thus you have one more year at school so you can see your loved one daily for one more year.

I know the example is oversimplified. However this represents exactly what I want to explain. So, strange and unexpected things may happen during a magickal operation in progress. Most important reason to this is that you didn't imagine the whole process. If you would, less strange and unexpected things would happen.

An awful example to this can be found in the opposition to the famous "Secret". Some people claimed that using the Secret (the Secret is simply imagination) would cause unwanted changes in one's life. In the perspective I have described above, many unwanted, bad things can happen. The mechanism is this: You put an intention and you don't imagine many ways for it to happen. Then "the universe" or whatever you want to call it, tries to find ways to make it happen. Not all of those ways are compatible with your happiness.

So, the best practice would be to enhance your imagination to a point where you add a road map to your goal. If we talk about that using my oversimplified example, you should take into account that if you fail a couple of exams, you will continue to see your loved one and therefore, you should find another road map to achieve your goal. For instance, you can imagine him or her to be transfered to a school in your area.

Well, the example only takes the final outcome into account. There are also things that may happen while the magick is in progress. You may put your intention and "do" your magick and then you can observe things which are seemingly opposite to your imagined outcome. Be patient when that happens. Your magickal operation is in progress and that means it tries to find the best way to make it happen for you. Don't get stressed for what you see in a couple of days. Learn to become still and wait.

In some old schools, people work on a single magickal project for months. They wait for three waning moon periods or three dark moons. Three months in 2008 would look like a very long time for many people who want instant gratification with their magickal work however this is the truth.

I wish I could give more and more examples about this because this is a very important aspect of an ongoing magickal operation but there are many more things to post since I am just back from a vacation. I hope I can provide more examples on a third post about ongoing magickal practices.

Psychic experiences that meet history

I have always been interested in communicating to souls and spirits from past. Historical places are very convenient for trying this. Well, every place is historical in fact but I mean something more, when you are on a small village with a relatively less clutter and noise around, then this is a perfect place to experience just this: communicating with very, very old spirits.

Recently I am in a place like that. This is a small village on the Mediterranean coast and since it is September, there are only a few people around. I know the history of the place. This place has been populated since before Christ. I decided to have my way with some psychic communication.

Instead of choosing the usual night hours, I decided to choose early mornings and evenings, just after the sunset. I started meditating on the beach. The first encounter was with an old lady, who seems like on her 70's in my imagination. Unlike my initial intention, she wasn't from thousands of years ago. She presented herself as having lived in the late 19th century and died in the beginning of the 20th century. This was before the beginning of World War I.

I tried to ask her about her daily life. She told me that she rarely made her way into the beach. There wasn't anything specific at that beach. She was a Christian and told me about Sunday prayers they had in the small church. That was all about it.

My second experience was a little different. It was a child in my imagination around the age 10. He told me about the everyday life and that was all the story.

Well, I wanted to share those experiences because of two reasons. One of them is that I am always excited by this kind of communication. The other factor is purely for the sake of giving an example on how to contact. Many people do not trust on their senses and they are not able to contact just because of their level of belief and trust.

I told you before that this is not a big deal. You are already prepared and skilled to have this kind of conversation. I have mentioned this in an earlier post: deconditioning for psychic practice.

You should try it and trust yourself.

What to do when a magickal operation is in progress

In one of my previous posts about sigil magick and thoughtforms, Ananael commented on how he 'forgets' about his magickal practice. He said that not obsessing about his magickal aim helps on the forgetting part. I decided to take this further and write notes as a post. He basically said this:

Not fretting about a magical operation in progress is my take on how the "forgetting" works as well. The time you spend obsessing about whether or not an ongoing magical operation will work really seems to diminish its effectiveness, though I'm not sure of the exact mechanism. It's almost like if you hold the form too tightly in your mind it can't get the work done that you charged it to do.

I agree with him and I want to add what fretting or obsessing about an ongoing magickal work just means that you don't believe in what you do. This is a shortcut to becoming unsuccessful in magickal practice because magick starts and ends in your mind. This holds true on every level of magical activity. When you do your work and then obsess about it afterwards, this is a clear sign of disbelief.

On first impression, not to obsess about your magickal work seems very difficult to some people. That's normal too and there are ways to overcome this. You can become pretty relaxed with practice and experience. One of the ways to get relaxed is meditation. You don't need to meditate deeply, just try to keep yourself calm.

Why does obsessing about your work affects your practice and why is this a bad thing? Well, you usually do magickal work to create physical change. It is usually something that you want badly (ok, not always but sometimes). Wanting something so much involves disbelief. You don't believe that it is going to happen or you don't believe that you are going to have what you want. Therefore, since your belief is a strong magickal force, your belief manifests the reality ending up with not having what you want. Because the request sent to a higher force (the universe, gods and goddesses, entities, your higher self or whatever you want to call it) contains just this information: that you don't believe in having a certain thing and in fact you don't want to have it. This is what magickal practice is all about.

There is another perspective tough. Steve Pavlina, who is a self-development guru and also a master on intention- manifestation process tells something different. In fact he doesn't disagree with what I tell here but he adds something called polarity. According to this polarity model, he thinks that it's okay to use your obsession as a force in manifesting what you want. His model can be shown in an example like this: Suppose that you want to attract or manifest money and you can't stop fretting about it. At this point, Pavlina says that one should stay in this fearful process and imagine what she wants in this emotional state. So, you will use your fear against not having what you want at the end while imagining what you want. Thus, you use your strongest energy at that moment.

In fact, this is nearly equal to high magick. Higher practices of magick and especially chaos magick involves using any and every kind of energy. However, if you are a beginner, I would always suggest keeping a high mood and transacting a positive energy for your magickal work.

My recent experience on sigil work

In the last couple of weeks, I was working on a couple of sigils. One of them was about a friend of mine. I worked on general health and mental health for her. Yesterday, she told me that she had a wonderful week because she was able to do more in less time and she was very alert, very relaxed and healthier than before. She didn't know that I was working for her.

It makes me very happy to know that I am successful. I want to share what I do with sigils, especially when they turn out to be working well. I was always working in the past three months. Some of them have been very successful, some of them not. I can't really tell a clear distinction between what worked and what didn't but about this last experience, I did something different.

Instead of drawing sigils and charging them and either throwing them away or putting them somewhere I can totally forget about them, I've put my paper and pen near my notebook. I did sigil work during surfing the net. I spend about two to three minutes on each of them and then I stopped paying attention to them but they still stay less than half a meter away from me. Apart from that, I lit tea-light candles and put the candle over the sigil. I imagined that the candle charges the sigil when the sigil needs more energy.

There isn't anything particular in the making of a sigil, nothing specific. It's all you know about sigils, generic sigil making info would do it. Taking apart the letters that are used more than one and using all the letters only once, I drwa my sigils. Rarely, I add additions. Those additions are different drawings. Not big ones.

I'll post immediately when I find out what I did to make them work specifically, if any. For the moment, I just wanted to share that some of my sigils turn out to be very successful.

Particularly for Maosse, I can't tell very promising results. My blogs in which I used it didn't make a significant progress. There are exceptions, one of my posts elsewhere suddenly had 400 visitors in a day. That was a post which I have sent to stumbleupon a couple of days ago however the rise was later and somewhat arbitrary. Another exception is on a health blog that I used to publish with a friend of mine two years ago. We almost forgot this blog but last week, it suddenly started having about 1000 visitors/day. I don't think that this is the work of Maosse. If it is, this means that it is working arbitrarily. That's not a success. Maybe I couldn't charge it properly or I was not determined enough. Especially when I made the mistake in its name - maosse instead of maossle - that is an indicator of my seriousness. I think I wasn't concentrated enough. Maybe I should try another one.

Psychic readings can determine your future

You have to be very careful when it comes to tarot readings or any kind of psychic readings because it can determine your future. If you are interested in magickal practice, then you should already know that your thoughts and your intention play the greatest role in manifestation. When you go to someone for a psychic reading or a tarot reading, now this power of thought and intention at least doubles.

Suppose that you have a question about your loved one. You are curious about what will happen in the future with him or her. You decide to go for a tarot reading. You met with a psychic, a medium and you start a fortune telling together (by any mean). This scene is more powerful than one person determining the future with his own thoughts and intentions.

Tarot cards are already powerful. They have a power of themselves. In addition to that, interpretation of cards also adds up to the accuracy and the power of a psychic reading. Therefore, when a person makes a false interpretation of a tarot card, it adds up to the future creation too. Moreover, if the person makes a positive interpretation regardless of the interpretation being right or wrong, it is still a powerful manifestation tool because of two facts: 1. The psychic engages in shaping your future with his own thoughts. 2. You believe and trust him so that what he tells is the truth about the future. Then your belief determines your future.

Human beings themselves are more important than cards and crystal balls because they are more powerful in creating the future, manifesting their intentions and changing physical reality.

Therefore, many powerful and successful psychic readers and mediums and tarot readers do intervene in the interpretation of what they see. They now they have the power to shape the future and therefore they try to extract all the positive meanings from their reading. That's a good thing. This is the right thing to do. This is the best practice when you engage in fortune telling.

Since this is something which would change your future, trust your intuition and don't go with people who are dominantly pessimistic or negative in nature. If you can't find anyone you can trust in that, do your readings by yourself and add lots of intuition, intention and thought into it. Psychic readings and tarot readings can be charged too.
