FBI are currently looking for former Lakers' player Javaris Crittenton after shooting a 22 year old mother of four in Atlanta,GA. It is said that Crittenton mistaken the woman for the thief of some his Jewelry. The woman's boyfriend said that Crittenton shot at the woman with a assault rifle from his black SUV.

It is believed that Crittenton is currently in Los Angeles after getting on a flight from Atlanta to LAX.
Crittenton is definitely going to get the book for this. It's another example of athletes making bad decisions. First of all, why does he have an assault rifle? You're not in the army. Second of all, who blindly shoots at someone in the dark hoping that it's the person they think it is? There is no excuse for what Crittenton did. I condolences go out to the woman and her family for this tragic event.
Colts QB, Peyton Manning is coming off of neck surgery and will most likely miss at least the first week of the regular season but its no doubt that you will see the veteran quarterback within the first few weeks of the regular season. The Colts have attempted to handle the situation by signing recently retired QB Kerry Collins.

Kerry Collins is a can be a very good replacement for Manning until he is able to return, but if the Colts are wanting to make the playoffs and possibly the Super Bowl, they will need the superstar QB at the reins. However, is Peyton Manning still the star we are use to seeing.

At age 35, Manning is almost in the twilight of his career. Although he had a career high in passing yds last season (4,700 yds), but Manning and the Colts struggled throughout the season and barely made the playoffs and lost to the Jets in the wild card.

Manning and several key players for the Colts are aging. How long will this team be able to remain competitive? I think that the team that the Colts have right now is not quite good enough to make it back to the Super Bowl. Manning will need more help from his running game and his defense if he is going to return to the Super Bowl.

Another question is how long will Manning be able to beat the defenses he goes up against? Many people mention that Michael Vick is the most unique QB to ever play the game but there can be argument that it may very well be Peyton Manning. Manning plays football like a chess game. He tries to out-think the defenses before the snap instead of relying on his instincts during the play like the other QBs in the league. Most of the time, Manning does in fact beat the defense but when the defense can figure out what he is going to do then he and the Colts are in trouble ( i.e. pick in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XLIV).

Unless there are major changes in the upcoming seasons, I feel that the Colts will fade into mediocrity. The offense needs to be more balanced, relying more on the run game and not Manning's arm.

Floyd, it's about time. The 41-0 boxer and arguable the greatest boxer in his weight class if not all all weight classes Floyd Mayweather is finally back, this time facing the 24 year old Victor Ortiz. And just like his recent fights, there will be another season of 24/7 with a new episode every week leading up to the fight on Sept 17.

The first episode premiered tonight and just like the previous, Mayweather is putting on a show. He has an arrogant tv persona that will rival the best WWE heels. But that what makes him and the series so compelling. No one want to watch a boring boxer prepare for the fight. They want a story. The want emotion. They want to be entertained and that exactly what Floyd delivers.

Many people claim that Chad Ochocinco or Terrell Owens are the biggest divas in professional sports but Mayweather has them beat hands down. What make Floyd different though is that he always backs it up with a professional record of 41-0. There is no one who works harder than Mayweather and it amazing how he has been able to stay hungry after all these years, never having a time when he slipped up.

I think this fight will be another notch on Mayweather's illustrious career. Hopefully if he wins, we will finally get to see the fight fans having been wanting for years against Manny Pacquiao

I don't know how long the video below is going to work so you better watch it as soon as you can if you are interested.
It could be the performance of veteran players or it could be rookies or rising stars. Whoever I feel will be the biggest factor in the teams success for the 2011 season. To start off, I decided to go with my favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

When deciding who to pick for the Dallas, I was torn between RB Felix Jones and WR Dez Bryant. Upon examination, I decided to go with Dez Bryant.

Bryant is going into his second season after having a successful rookie season. In 12 games, Bryant had 45 receptions for 561 yds. and 12 TDs He also ran 2 punt returns for touchdowns. Not a bad season for a wide receiver who was third on the depth chart.

With the release of WR Roy Williams, it is almost certain that Dez will be the number 2 option at wide receiver for the Cowboys behind Miles Austin. With the rise in the depth chart and the return of veteran QB Tony Romo, it can be expect that Bryant will have a breakout season. I predict that he will have 900-1000 yds and 10 touchdowns.

Dallas, after coming off a disappointing season, are coming in to this season a little off the radar well at least more off the radar than the Cowboys are use to. It is still up in the air as to how the Cowboys will perform, With all the talent and Jason Garrett coming into his first full season as head coach, the Cowboys will be looking to return back to championship from. Its been a while.
Del Rio Cashes in... New WWE Champion.

I'm wondering the same thing too Del Rio

Way to kill one of the biggest angles in WWE history. This is a very poor ending to a Summerslam that had so much promise and until the main event lived up to the hype.

Every match on the card was good, from a surprise opening six man tag to the World Heavyweight Championship match. Even the divas match was pretty good. All in all the ppv was great.. until the main event.

The match started out great with both John Cena and CM Punk pulling out all the stops. Both kicking out of the others finishers. Then the shadiness happened. CM Punk hit John Cena with another GTS and went for the pin near the rope. Of course John Cena put his leg on the rope, which is supposed to stop the pin fall, but Triple H missed it and give Punk the three count to become WWE Champion. Right when this happened I knew something was up.

You'll notice CM Punk prancing around and John Cena quickly going to the back. Usually even a baby face like John Cena would stay longer than that to complain or hit the ref out of frustration but John did none of this.

Shortly after John Cena went to the back. Kevin Nash, who we haven't seen in years and in no way has any beef with CM Punk comes out to the ring and power bombs CM Punk to the ground. Then seconds later Alberto Del Rio comes out and cashes in the Money in the Bank briefcase and wins the title.

WTF WWE!!!, I mean really??? Come on. Why ruin a great match and the ending to a great PPV with this garbage. I would rather had John Cena win cleanly ( yes I said it) than to have this bogus ending. Now of course this is going to set a triple threat match at Night of Champions next month.

Im going to make a quick prediction on that. Whoever wins, they will either win through Punk or Del Rio, because there seems like there is no way to cleanly pin SuperCena.

Maybe this will be a way to get John Cena out of the picture by having Punk or Del Rio keep the title after Night of Champions. If that's the case I guess i will be satisfied. I can't wait for grandpa Nash to explain his actions on Raw tomorrow night.

O'Neal stated on NBA TV, that Miami has a Big 2 ( James, Wade) instead of what they are normally referred to as the Big 3 ( James, Wade, Bosh) What a cheap move by the former NBA star who hasn't really done anything in the past four years

Last season, Chris Bosh averaged over 18 points and 8 rebounds, something that Shaq has not done since he left Miami 5 years ago. When Bosh was in Toronto, he averaged over 22 points. Shaq hasn't done that since about 04'

Yes I am bias towards Miami, but Shaq has alot of nerve bashing a player who has been outperforming him in the last 7 seasons. Not a good move for Shaq in his first day as an analyst.

US Women's Soccer Team Falls to Japan in World Cup Finals

The streak of me not being able to celebrate anything in team sports continues. Just when I thought I was going to be able to celebrate the US women's team victory over Japan to win the World Cup, Japan takes it away. When will I ever be able to be happy for a team sport again? Hopefully, when the Miami Heat wins the NBA Championship next year but that's so far away. Maybe the Dallas Cowboys will get it together and win the Super Bowl ( not going to hold my breath for that one. In the meantime I just will have to suffer and be patient until one of my teams get it together.

Anyways the US Women's Soccer Team had quite an impressive showing even though they fell short. We should all be proud of them. And besides our team is way hotter than theirs.
I'm in complete shock. For the first time ever John Cena puts someone else over. What a match. By far the best match of the year.

The match completely lived up to the hype. A great back and forth. CM Punk backed up what he said about being the best wrestler in the world. Great technical wrestling. I hate to admit it but John Cena had a great performance as well. Tonight we seen things out of Cena that we have never seen before throughout his WWE career. Both wrestlers pulled out all the stops for this one.

I did not know how that match was going to turn out. From all the momentum behind Punk and the crowd signs tonight saying " If Cena Wins We Riot" ( Did I mention how electric the Chicago crowd was for this match) that Punk had to win. Many people thought that the match the night would end with the Raw Money in the Bank winner, who turned out to be Alberto Del Rio, to walk out and cash it in to win the WWE Championship and prevent it from leaving the company. In fact McMahon did rush to the mic to tell Del Rio to come out which he did. But as soon as he got into the ring, Punk hit him with a shot to the temple and then Punk ran out through the crowd.

I cannot wait to see how this storyline turns out. For those who do not know, the whole contract ending tonight thing is not true, but it does in fact in some time in September. Plenty of time to see this unfold.

Overall, Money in The Bank was by far the best PPV of the year if and one of the best in recent memory. Even the Diva's match was a little entertaining. This is what the WWE has needed for a long time. With this PPV, the company appears to be going in the right direction.

If The Rock Came Back to Wrestle Full Time Plus The People's Champ Responds to Cena's Comments

Over the past few weeks, CM Punk, Randy Orton and John Cena have made comments about The Rock. Punk has called The Rock or Dwayne an ass kisser to Vince McMahon. Randy Orton questioned The Rock's mic skills and wrestling ability in the same radio interview that he also trashed WWE Diva Kelly Kelly. Then after the 2nd Raw in Australia, during a promo between John Cena and CM Punk, Cena says this.

John Cena goes out of his way to trash The Rock at a live event. Really? Before I continue watch The Rock's Response to this.

Good real response from The Rock. Sure there was some character put into the video but most of the stuff he said was true. I may discuss that further in a later post.

Anyway John Cena, really does not want The Rock to come back full time if he wants to keep his spot as the number one guy in the company. Think about it , The Rock did not even wrestle a match during Wrestlemania and he was the big story of the whole event. He was physically on Raw only 4 times this whole year and he's bigger than John Cena right now. Just the mention of his name creates buzz throughout the wrestling world. Now imagine if The Rock came back full time. Wait lets just say he only does Monday Night Raw weekly because that's all that he would need to do.

Immediately John Cena is going to lose his spot as the number one guy. He's going to go down to the second storyline on the show. Sure, there's would be some John Cena vs Rock matchups but in between those, The Rock is going to be the guy. He's going to come out at the beginning of Raw cut a 20-30 min promo with someone and then be in the main event at the end of the show. Just like the old days. And where is John Cena going to be? He's going to be having feuds with Sheamus or Jack Swagger and be an afterthought. The only time Cena would be in the main event is at the house shows unless of course The Rock goes to those too.

Eventually if The Rock sticks around long enough it will be time for the WWE Draft and guess who is going to Smackdown? That's right John Cena. Ha, The Rock is not going to the secondary show even if it was named after him. I don't think that's where John Cena wants to go. To a show that no one even watches. Sorry but people have better things to do on a Friday Night than to watch Smackdown, especially if John Cena is on there.

So John, you might want to " Know Your Role and Shut Your Mouth" before you antagonize The Rock enough to the point when he decides to return full time.

NFL Player/Owner Negotiations- They're Getting Close.

We may finally be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. As training camps are scheduled to begin soon and with the Hall of Fame game looming it has become crunch time for both the players and the owners This week the NFL and the NFLPA have been meeting in New York. After meetings closed today they released this statement:

The discussions this week have been productive and progress has been made on a wide range of issues. Our legal and financial teams will continue to work through the weekend. We will continue to respect the confidentiality orders of Chief Magistrate judge Arthur Boylan and will therefore refrain from commenting on specific issues or aspects of the negotiations. We will provide additional information as developments in this process continue.

Insiders say that they are getting really close to an agreement which will need to be made within the next few days if they do not want to miss any preseason games and the revenue from those games. I think now both sides realize what is at stake and will come to an agreement soon. They better because I need my NFL. College Football just doesn't satisfy that hunger.

CM Punk Vs John Cena at Money in the Bank- Who Will Win?

The most anticipated match of the year is this Sunday between seemingly perennial champion John Cena and CM Punk, who has been the talk of the wrestling world ever since his planned shoot promo almost a month ago. This put the WWE back on the map and everyone is waiting to see what will happen.

CM Punk has mentioned several times that when he beats John Cena he is leaving with the title. After what happened with Medusa and the Women's championship, there's no way McMahon is letting Punk win the title and just leave.

This is a very tricky situation for the WWE. In a way, the company has really backed themselves into a corner. They can't let CM Punk win and leave with the title but they definitely can't let John Cena get a clean victory over Punk after all that has went down not to mention the match being in Punk's hometown of Chicago. I don't think CM Punk would even let that happen.

Last week McMahon said that if Punk wins he will fire John Cena. Well this past Monday CM Punk nixed that by mentioning that Cena was "fired" last year and did not miss a single Raw. There's no telling how that will play out if Punk wins. People inside the WWE have mentioned that John Cena has been performing hurt for a long time and is in much need of a rest. This may be his opportunity to get his rest ( And to give us a rest as well)

There has been much speculation on how the main event is going to go down. Some people are think CM Punk will beat John Cena and then whoever wins the Raw Money In the Bank will cash it in and win the title, preventing CM Punk from leaving with it. Others think that there will be another incident like the Montreal Screw job.

Although CM Punk vows to leave the WWE, it is still not really certain if he will really leave or if he has already resigned with the WWE. Throughout his promos, he has mentioned that his contract ends the night after the Money in the Bank PPV (convenient) but insiders have said that his contract does not in fact end until September so who know.

What I do know is that the WWE has really stirred the pot with this storyline. It must be handled carefully or there is going to be backlash from all the hardcore wrestling fans. This mean absolutely no Super Cena style victory like we have seen for the past few PPVs. In fact, whatever happens John Cena should not win at all. That would destroy all of Punk's credibility and piss off everyone but the little kids who idolized him.

Kobe Bryant Schools Little Kid In a Game of One on One

Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant took out his frustrations on a little kid in a game of one on one at his summer camp. Apparently the kid was talking smack to Kobe and Black Mamba had to retaliate.

The score was pretty lopsided of course. The kid only scored one basket. He even went so far as to smack one of the kids three point shots back in his face. Then he posterized the kid for the game winning point. Come one Kobe, cut the kid some slack.

Kobe was pretending like it was game 7 of the NBA Finals. After one shot he even gave his patent Kobe face back to the check in line.

Im glad Kobe is back to his winning ways even if he had to do it on a toddler. He just better be glad it wasn't me he was playing against. Wait a minute. Isn’t that like the start of the work week for most people? Well the genius people who run Major League Baseball don't know this.

This along with several other idiotic moves that Major League Baseball does or doesn’t make is the reason for its steady decline in America. From no instant replay, to the long schedule and incidents like what happened at Texas Rangers ballpark last week all attribute to the loss of interest in America’s Pastime.

Now with the sport’s decline, a smart thing to do would be to try to keep the fans whom remain happy. What’s a good event to have that would be fun and exciting for fans? An All-Star Game of course.

Ok this years’ All-Star game is set up with World Series home field advantage on the line, great. This would turn out to be a ratings explosion for any of the other four major sports but MLB has committed one major flaw, by placing the game on Tuesday.

Why on God’s green earth would anyone think it would be smart to schedule an All-Star Game on a Tuesday? Do they not realize that most of the audience who would probably watch the game have jobs to go to on Wednesday? The only people who would probably be free to watch it are college students and statistics show that they aren’t watching baseball.

You will never see the NBA or the NFL do some so dumb as to have their All-Star weekend on Monday and Tuesday and then try to call it an All-Star weekend. Major League Baseball, please just look at what the NBA and NFL are doing and repeat (minus the lockouts)

In the Process of Moving Be Back Soon

This week I have been in the process of moving so I have not had time to write stories.
CM Punk, has been the main news story in the world of wrestling since his planned shoot promo on WWE Raw last week may be making news again. At a WWE live event in Australia today, the straight edge superstar uses many child unfriendly words in an argument with a fan.

It seems that CM Punk is at the point where he simple does not care anymore about the WWE or the audience that is caters to, which includes young children. Now many people will argue that Punk and the crowd member could have been joking (and they very well could be) but the use of the words used by punk were complete unprofessional in this situation. This talk is fine in a setting with close friends at your house but never at your place of work. Punk is performing a job for a company ( no matter how much he hates it) and as a representative of that company, he should conduct himself in a professional manner.

Wrestlers and professional athletes alike should not let the crowd influence how you act and perform in craft that you make their money in. The audience is doing them a favor by coming to pay to see them perform. Punk has the remember that no matter what company he decides to work for in the future.

Update: CM Punk posted to tweets regarding the sitiuation

"I'm glad TMZ posted that video because everybody needs to be held accountable for their bullshit, me included. What I said was bullshit......I'm embarrassed. I own up to being a total douche in this situation and I offer a sincere apology to anybody I hurt with careless words."

This is good to hear from Punk but this wrestlers are something else. Last week Randy Orton had to apologize the Kelly Kelly, a WWE Diva, on comments he made regarding her love life on a Radio Show. These wrestlers need to remember that although they work in a fantasy world that they words can harm others in the real world.

Now my dedicated readers know by now that I love the Miami Heat ( I promise to cover more teams in the future). I'm also a wrestling fan. So why not combine the two together. Watch the video below.

The Miami Heat are the most hated team in the NBA today and probably the most hated of all time. I say play into it. Embrace it. This angle could really work. They already have the black and white jerseys ( although they have never wore them in a game) How awesome would it be to go to a Miami Heat game and have them come out with the NWO theme song and the black and white jerseys.

This could actually be good for the Miami Heat. With as much hatred there is for the them, Lebron James could cure cancer and still get no love. But that's OK you don't need love to win a NBA Championship. I just hope they don't spray paint anyone's back when they win.

Who is Terez Owens?

Apparently I still have a lot to learn about the world of online sports writing. I was just browsing the internet for news and I came across TerezOwens.com. The site pretty much takes the route of the popular PerezHilton.com making short blog posts about various people and topics. But unlike Perez Hilton, Terez Owens focuses on mainly sports related which is good for me because I could care less about what Kim Kardashian is doing.

The site has been around for quite a while and currently has an a Alez Rank of 33,257 I don't know why I have been ignorant to this site for this long.

CM Punk: it's simple business - The Rock is the main event at Wrestlemania cause it draws more money in one night, then u will in lifetime.

Wow harsh. With the spoilers from the July 4th taping of Raw mentioning how in fact CM Punk will compete at WWE Money in the Bank, it is hard to tell how much of Punk's promo was planned. Now the whole " more X in one night than you in a lifetime" has been used by The Rock several times in the past so its unknown whether he took Punk's comments personally. Maybe this will lead to a future CM Punk/Rock showdown

CM Punk comments on Raw shocked the entire wrestling community. Everyone linked to wrestling has come out of the woodwork to make their comments on it. This by far has been the biggest story in wrestling in years, even bigger than The Rock's return in February.

Woods has signed his first endorsement deal since the fallout in November 2009 which cost him deals with Gillette, Gatorade and several others valued at over $22 Million

The endorsement is for Vantelin, a cream produced by Kowa a Japanese company, for relieving muscle pain. A television commercial is set to start running in Japan in mid-July.

Red Sox pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka, who is out due to Tommy John's surgery on his elbow is also a spokesman for Vantelin

This looks like Tiger is starting to come back and get some normalcy in his life ( well normal for him) He's beginning to get favor from the public again. It looks like no more companies will drop him. Thank goodness, because I'm not ready for EA's Rory Mcllroy PGA Tour 2013.

Is Tiger Woods Going to Play in The British Open?.

Tiger Woods had a press conference today regarding his ACL injury and whether or not he will play in the British Open in July. Woods basically said it is unknown whether he will be able to play in the British Open as there is no timetable set for his return. He did ,however, say that he expects to play some time in 2011.

Other questions Woods was asked were whether he still thinks that he can catch Jack Nicklaus's record of 18 majors and whether he has passed the torch to Rory Mcllroy. Woods responded that he still has plenty of time to catch Jack as Nicklaus won his last major at 49 and he is only 35. Woods also commented on how he was impressed with Rory Mcllroy and that Mcllroy had a better swing than him at that age.

If Woods ever comes back to championship form, it will be interesting to see how Mcllroy will handle it.

CM Punk Gets Suspended For Telling the Truth

On WWE.com, it was announced that superstar CM Punk has been indefinitely suspended after his comments following the main event on tonight's Raw.

The main event was John Cena vs R- Truth in a tables match. CM Punk came out and interfered costing Cena the match. After the match, Punk proceeded to give a shoot promo. For those of you unfamiliar with the inside workings of wrestling, a shoot promo is essentially when a wrestler breaks character and basically talks about think that breaks the illusion of pro wrestling being real.

CM Punk pretty much went off on Cena, the McMahons and the entire WWE. He mentioned how although he is a better wrestler than Cena in terms of actually wrestling ability that he never gets pushed like other superstars get pushed which is somewhat true. Keep in mind though that CM Punk is a two time world champion in the WWE which is more than a lot of wrestlers who are in or were in the WWE can say. Punk went on to mention that he never on any merchandise or doesn't get the outside promotion like the other superstars

Pretty much everything Punk had to say was true and I do agree with him. There are many superstars who never got the push they deserved in the WWE ( Shelton Benjamin) while others have gotten pushed to the moon like Hulk Hogan and John Cena who have limited wrestling skills. Both wrestlers get carried by their opponents in almost every match they are in. (which basically means the other wrestler does most of the work during the match) As a Rock fan, I did not like Punk's comments directed to The Rock. The Rock sucked up to no one its pretty much the other way around. McMahon had to beg The Rock to come back

Anyways. It is safe to say that McMahon was pretty pissed about what CM Punk said. Its a shame that WWE will be losing such a great performer. Maybe McMahon will listen to what Punk had to say and make some changes... I doubt it.

UPDATE: Many sources say that this was scripted. I doubt that but if it was what a great scripted ending.

Will There be a Toy Story 4?

According to Tom Hanks, who voiced the character Woody in the Toy Story trilogy, Pixar is already working on Toy Story 4. Initially it was thought that Toy Story 3 would be the end of the series but after Toy Story 3 made over $1 Billion at the box office and winning 2 Academy Awards, I can see why Disney and Pixar would consider making another one.

Hopefully if it is in fact true that they are currently working on a sequel, Pixar won't get lazy and making a mediocre sequel like Dreamworks' Shrek Forever After or a real turd like Shrek the 3. Pixar has yet to produce a a flop. Back when Toy Story 2 was in production they actually started over near the end of production because they did not like how the first version turned out. So it is a safe bet that if there ever is a Toy Story 4 then it will be good.

Floyd Mayweather Being Sued For Putting a Hit on a Man

<img border="0" height="200" src="http://www.boxingrepublic.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Floyd-Mayweather-Jr-Suit.jpg" width="150"ALT="Floyd Mayweather a Thug?" />

Boxing Superstar Floyd Mayweather is being sued by Anthony Cliff for allegedly being assaulted by Mayweather's bodyguards outside the Palms Casino Result in Las Vegas in March.

Cliff says the incident began after Cliff spotted the boxer in the casino. Cliff wanted to take a picture with Mayweather refused and Cliff was sent away by the bodyguards. Later that night. Cliff ran into him again and asked a person in Mayweather's entourage about a possible fight against Pacquiao. That is when Cliff alledges the assault took place.

What is with all the athletes getting people to beat people up. First, Shaquille O' Neal allegedly hired goons to kidnap a guy ,and now Mayweather is accuse of having his bodyguards beat up a guy. I think Shaq is big enough and Floyd is skilled enough to fight their own battles.
