Fri, 30 Oct 2009 03:07:55 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.0.4 CharleySnowNewshttp://feedburner.google.com The grind is on. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/CharleySnowNews/~3/XKDEPrsb3ck/the-grind-is-on-1000184.htm http://www.charleysnowart.com/the-grind-is-on-1000184.htm#comments Fri, 30 Oct 2009 03:07:55 +0000 Charley Snow http://www.charleysnowart.com/?p=184 Spent about 110 hours painting last week – pushed to the edge physically and mentally.  At one point I actually fell asleep painting.  Made the deadline for images for the mailer by about 30 minutes.  I should say the extended, final final deadline.  Now I’ve taken a few half days off and I’m ready for the last month long grind to the show.  I love being so immersed in painting and some interesting stuff happens when you’re working so much.  This is when the innovation happens because you kind of let go of trying to be so technically perfect and you start letting the process become instinctual.

Charley’s studio is in his back yard, where he worked to make his own work space, from the foundation to the finishing touches.
