The perception of gourmet coffee is characteristically rich and luxurious. But if you are a true coffee lover, fresh gourmet coffee has a flavor that can’t be beat. It’s rich, full-bodied Taste is a daily necessity to millions of people. But everyone’s taste in coffee is uniquely there own. Find other articles on coffee at http://www.fmcoffee.com.

Coffee perceptions great by themselves, but for an extra special flavor sensation, try gourmet flavored coffee. Not all these flavors are everyone’s “cup of tea”, but the taste sensations of gourmet flavored coffee give you a new outlook on your cup of joe. You can taste the sweet caramel just as you can smell the aroma of the freshly ground coffee nearby.

The differentiation may seem miniscule, but the gourmet coffee or tea you beverage will Taste completely divers. More importantly, all the variances affect the flavor and aroma. Many coffee drinkers are not aware of how gourmet coffee should taste since their senses have been desensitized with below-par coffees.

Beans

The gourmet coffee bean is considered to be among the finest coffee beans in the world. Out of these varieties, fine gourmet coffee beans are obtained mainly from the species Coffee Arabica. The gourmet coffee beans are offered in a variety of dissimilar serving sizes.

When brewing your own gourmet coffee blend in your kitchen, you have a choice of fresh ground coffee beans from fine Italian Espressos to the rare and exotic Indonesian Kopi Luwak. You want the best cup of coffee you can get, right? If so it pays to do some research and ask questions about what you’re buying.

When doing your legwork for the perfect gourmet coffee, there are a number of things to be cautious about. One thing you should know is whether the beans are fresh Arabian beans blended with stale French Roast. Are the coffee beans roasted in house or locally, or are they shipped from across the country to sit on a shelf waiting for orders. If possible, get coffee beans that have been roasted less than 1 week before.

Quality

The dictionary defines gourmet nourishment like this, “Gourmet foodstuff is that which is of the highest quality, perfectly prepared and artfully presented”. Commuters can consider making gourmet coffee beverages at home or the office before departing and enjoy it at home or work while spending quality time with the family and coworkers or take it along in a commuter coffee mug. Gourmet coffee beans go through a rigorous process of certification that is stricter to help keep the quality high.

As a coffee aficionado, you know that there is some extra work to making excellent coffee than simply brewing it. You need to choose the highest quality beans to get the highest quality coffee. Today you can buy quality wholesale gourmet coffee and the right coffee machine to get the coffee you deserve. In addition, only Arabic beans contain the high quality needed for gourmet coffee beans. The quality of a coffee bean depends vastly on where and how that particular coffee bean is grown.

Grind

By grinding your own coffee beans, you’ll be able to only grind what you need, meaning that you will have complete freshness in your coffee. The best way to do this is to buy the whole bean in batches and grind them with yur own grinding machine as you need it. But be careful: The type of coffee grind that you use is critical in order to properly match the type of brewing method you will be using. Be sure to ask your coffee merchant which grind is best for you.

If you want to take your cooking skills up another notch then it might be time to look at changing to a gas stove.

Gas stoves are the preferred choice of professional cooks for the simple reason that they offer more flexibility.

The heat adjustments are more accurate and instant.
If you turn the gas down, the heat will lower immediately, unlike an electric stove that will take time to cool down to the lower heat setting.

Gas stoves also allow varied cooking styles that arent quite so easily achieved with an electric stove such as wok cooking.

Gas stoves give you the ability to fine tune the heat and with the use of a wok you can cook various different meals that wouldnt be possible with an electric cook top.

Many people are concerned with the use of gas in the kitchen and in particular the safety aspects of using gas.

There are certain adjustments that need to be made to your cooking procedures when cooking with gas, and in particular you need to be aware of the importance of avoiding contact with the naked flame.
The latest gas ovens have many safety factors built into them that werent standard features several years ago.

Modern gas ovens have automatic ignition of the gas and safety gas cut off to ensure the optimum safety possible.

Another benefit of a gas cooker is the fact that they cool faster than an electric cook top when you have finished cooking.
For this reason alone many people consider using gas a safer alternative.

It is all personal preference but the ability to prepare better meals is good reason to consider buying a gas oven.

The prices range considerably, from relatively inexpensive to astronomical depending on the features that you desire, so it is wise to shop around before deciding on the gas oven for your requirements.

Have you ever tried a single cup coffee maker? These are a great addition to any coffee-drinking household. When I look at my parents, it’s hard not to notice their love for coffee. Since they’re in their 60s, they prefer a coffee pot drip beverage, over a caramel macchiato.

In fact, they will brew a pot of coffee two or three times on any given day. This is probably common in most households. The only problem with this system is it doesn’t make much sense. I can’t help but notice what they’re wasting. Many times they will brew an entire pot of coffee simply to drink a single cup. That’s not efficient.

Well, this is why they invented the single cup coffee maker. The minute I spotted this cool innovation, I purchased one for my parents. With a single cup coffee maker, you don’t have to brew that full pot every time.

This machine actually makes a single, fresh cup of coffee with no mess or waste. How cool is that? This is perfect for those who live alone, or merely want a single cup of coffee at a time. Not everyone drinks four or five cups straight like my father.

Isn’t it time for that morning cup of java? This seems to be the trend in American households. We all want to wake up to that fresh aroma of quality coffee beans. In fact, many cultures have adopted the same regime.

It’s been around forever. The old caffeine buzz is imperative to start our day off right. The big question these days concerns your coffee source or coffee machine. Where do you turn for your morning fix? Do you have a new-age espresso machine, or possibly stick with the old-school drip coffee pots? Either can make a great cup of coffee.

It just depends on your taste. Another cool addition to the world of coffee innovations these days is the single cup coffee maker. Ah, things just keep getting easier; don’t they?

If you are in search of a single cup coffee maker, a great place to begin your browsing is online. The World-Wide-Web has a variety of single cup coffee makers to choose from. You can sort through customer reviews and find out what others have experienced before buying one in particular.

With a number of websites at your fingertips, you can surely pinpoint the least expensive single cup coffee maker that’s right for you. That morning cup of java is no longer a hassle. You can have your cup at the push of a button these days.

Do you love your coffee? Can you go a day without a cup of your favorite drink? Coffee as we know it today is much different than when it was first discovered. These days there are so many varieties of gourmet coffee that it is difficult to choose a favorite one.

What Exactly Is Gourmet Coffee?

A cup of gourmet coffee is a relatively new idea. Gourmet coffee is usually only made from Arabica beans, which are usually the coffee beans with the fullest flavors. The general average jar of coffee which you buy in supermarkets is made using a mixture of beans using low grade Brazilian coffee beans and Robusta beans. They also add a small amount of the Arabica coffee beans to ensure a nicer flavor than using just the low grade beans. Also the lower grade beans contain more caffeine than the others.

Usually, gourmet coffee is roasted at the plant and makes it into the consumers hands within a week. You can buy pre-ground gourmet coffee, but the preferred way to buy it is while it is still in its bean form. The beans can usually be ground at the store you buy them from.

Commercial coffee is also usually not as fresh. Commercial coffee is pre-ground before it is packaged. After packaging it can take several weeks to actually make it to a grocery store. Usually, the longer pre-ground commercial coffee sits on a shelf waiting to be purchased, the staler and bitter it will become. Generally, the biggest advantage of commercial coffee is that it is cheap compared to some types of gourmet coffee.

The two most important things to remember when looking for gourmet coffee is that it is fresher and has more flavor than the commercial jars of coffee. Another important point to remember with gourmet coffee, is that you can choose where the coffee beans have come from and also know how it has been roasted. If you have yet to try a cup of gourmet coffee, you will not be disappointed. You will be spoilt for choice in the world of gourmet coffee, give it a try. You can find small bags so that if you decide you dont like that particular variety, you dont have a 10 pound can in your kitchen still full of coffee. So give gourmet coffee a try, and if you find it is not to your liking you can always revert back to your old ways!

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa

Directions:
Preheat oven to 225-degrees. Put baking parchment on a cookie sheet.

Beat egg whites until foamy. Add vanilla extract a few drops at a time and cream of tartar. Beat until meringue starts to look creamy and forms soft peaks. Add in Splenda a little at a time. Add in cocoa a little at a time.

Put meringue on parchment paper cookie sheet by spoonfuls. (You can use a pastry bag and pipe them into cones like Hershey kisses, or flower shapes.) Bake at 225-degrees for one hour. Turn off oven, open oven door a crack, and allow to cool five to ten minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool away from drafts. Remove from parchment paper when cool.

Carb count for total recipe: 28.7g. Number of cookies varies depending on size.

Variation:
You could also do these with daVinci-flavoured syrups and a little food coloring if desired. Then sprinkle a little granulated Splenda on the top for that sugar “sparkle.”

Note:
If you make smaller meringues, don’t bake them quite as long, or they will be over-dry and fracture easily.

Oolong tea has been expressed as “Yu Xiang Hui Wei ” as it goes through so many diversified manufacturing steps in order to produce a good flavor and fragrance. The tea consists of more than a few dozens of leaves that have special flavors and aromas due to differences in the leaves, the production area, and the harvest time. Among them, Tie Guan Yin, Shui Xian, and Oolong are well known, and many renowned oolong teas are produced in Fujian Province. Oolong tea produced in the Province is sold overseas throughout the world as the tea that is delegate of China, the home of tea.
Oolong tea from Taiwan is also known as Imperial Formosa Oolong. The first Europeans to visit Taiwan were Portuguese sailors, who were so impressed by the beauty of Taiwan that they called it Isla Formosa. This translates as “Beautiful Island” and although Taiwan is now a bustling modern country, the tea growing areas of the island are prime examples of its natural beauty. Most of the oolong tea produced in Taiwan is for local consumption. The Taiwanese are discriminating tea drinkers who demand the best.

There are many valuable reasons to drink oolong tea. First and chief one is the wonderful taste. Tea specialist the world over value Taiwan tea for its sweetness and density. The preparation and serving of Oolong tea is also a pleasant pastime that can be shared with friends and family. In Taiwan and elsewhere, drinking oolong tea is a social affair that solidifies relationships.

The best oolong tea from Taiwan is grown in the sky-scraping mountains. All the oolong tea sold here is high-mountain oolong that is handpicked and hand processed. These are artisan teas that have been produced with high concern. They are highly deserving of the name ‘Imperial Formosa Oolong’.

Producing Taiwan oolong tea is an exacting and time-consuming process. The quality of the final product depends as much on the finishing as on the raw tealeaves. But make no mistake about the tealeaves – they are the heart and soul of oolong tea and the reason it is so valued. Taiwan tea farmers are increasingly adopting organic growing practices because of the higher quality tea these methods produce.

If you are buying coffee beans for your business and not sure what you should be looking for, read on- this guide will help you to understand the differences between the basic types of coffee, and bust the coffee jargon, so you can decide which variety is right for you.

The two main varieties of coffee plant are arabica and robusta. Arabica originated from Ethiopia, whilst robusta came from Uganda. Both are now grown in several other regions throughout the world, and most coffee is labelled clearly to show which country and region it was grown in. Generally speaking, arabica is superior to robusta, with a much stronger and more distinct flavour- robusta can be bitter and weak-tasting- however the taste also varies depending on which region the coffee comes from, and the processes it is subjected to during growing, shipping, storing and brewing.

You will often find that coffee is described in terms similar to those you might find in wine tasting: the main three categories used are flavour (such as sweet or spicy), aroma (such as flowery or chocolaty), body (such as medium-bodied or full-bodied) and acidity (which refers to how sharp or clean the coffee tastes, NOT to its pH).

When you buy coffee beans, you will probably buy them already roasted, however you can home-roast them if you choose. Roasting unlocks the flavour from the bean, and the extent to which beans are roasted varies- for example, you can buy medium roast beans, Italian roast beans (Italian refers to the roast- it does not indicate that the beans came from Italy), and so on.

It is worth trying out different types of coffee, using the above points as a guide. You will be amazed at the range of flavours out there, and the more effort you make to try the different flavours, the more of an expert you will become.

Put another shrimp on the barby. That’s something you may expect to hear in Australia, but now visitors to Singapore will be hearing it.

The reason? The Singapore Marriott Hotel has unveiled the new Pool Grill restaurant-a chic and stylish new eatery serving fresh, contemporary cuisine prepared by Chef Harry Callinan, the hotel’s newest import from Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Australia.

Chef Harry’s epicurean passion is evident in the enthusiastic manner in which he talks about his gourmet pursuits and how he magically translates that into wholesome creations in the kitchen.

The Pool Grill menus are styled to mirror the look and feel of the pool terrace concept at the Singapore Marriott-that of a resort oasis in the heart of the city. The menu combines lightness with freshness and guests can look forward to an invigorating gazpacho, a succulent John Dory fillet, or a simple pasta, pizza or sandwich to enjoy amidst the relaxing setting. Must-tries include the Oriental Seafood Salad with palm hearts & lychee, Classic Bouillabaisse, Grilled Swordfish Fillet and the Baked Rock Lobster tail with melted lemon butter.

Here’s one of Chef Harry’s recipes:

Barbecued Snapper Parcels With Tomato, Red Onion

And Basil Butter

1 snapper fillet

1 red onion

1 tomato

Juice of 1 lemon

1 bunch fresh basil (or store-bought pesto will work)

7 Tbsp. butter

Sea salt

Black pepper

Aluminum foil

Lay one sheet of aluminum foil on the bench and rub with a little butter, place snapper fillet on top and season with salt and pepper. Slice tomato and red onion in thin slices and place on top of fish. Take remaining butter and fresh-picked basil and pound together in a mortar and pestle (pulsing in a blender will give the same result) till blended well. Add pats of the flavored butter on top of the fish and vegetables, squeeze on half a lemon. Bring sides of the foil around to make a parcel, leaving space at the top for steam to circulate. Place par-cels onto hot part of the BBQ for 5 minutes and then move to the side where it is cooler and let sit another 5 minutes to cook through. Serve straight onto plate but be careful of the steam when you open it and enjoy.
