Paris Hilton got more than she bargained for three days ago when her security team found her Hotel room in Dubai bugged, and rigged with secret cameras that overlooked showers, beds and other intimate spots in the suite. A Dubai newspaper says that it left Paris "Jittery." The Heiress is reportedly obsessed with Princess Diana and is completely attached to the idea that she will die a tragic and young death. Jessica Simpson is back on the Reality TV circuit with a new show focusing on Beauty and concepts of beauty around the world. The show, set to air on Vh1 in the Fall/Winter lineup, is a reality concept based on female empowerment mixed with beauty trends. Some blogs claim the setup will be a celebrity camping and trekking documentary. Will we're not sure about the exact details, we can tell you it is a go. We will be excited to see Jessica back on the tube.

Reps for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Mannillo have announced and confirmed that Nick and Vanessa are indeed over. For now, the split is amicable.

"They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," Minnillo's rep told People.

Well they haven't divied up the NYC condo, the Bel Air manse, and their home in Tacoma Washington. We can only hope that Nick and Jessica may soon be reunited. In what could be the publicity stunt of the decade; it would rocket their hurting careers into the spotlight once again and make them household names for a new generation of MTV viewers.

Kate Gosselin speaks out to People magazine about the divorce of the year. The shocker came on Monday's Jon and Kate +8 episode, where the pair revealed that a divorce was looming and would be documented by the show. Kate told People:

"On a good day, I feel relief. On a bad day, I feel failure."

But certain people in the media are intent that she feel more than just failure. Kate, who has been accused of bad parenting, exploitation of her children, abuse, greed, lurid affairs with her bodyguard, and other general diva-dom, is being pointed at by The View, co-host, Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Hasselbeck said Wednesday on The View:

"Kate should get a job!" and "They Shouldn't have a show!"

Hasselbeck is in her own media scrutiny as well. She's being accused of plagiarism over her book. Why is it that the ladies from the view seem to hate everyone and never have anything good to say about anybody? Should Hasselbeck have a show?

Can Audrina hold her own in a world without LC? Back in March, Audrina announced she was leaving the show. A few weeks later LC announced the same. Audrina isn't finished with TV however. Rumor has it that Lauren Conrad fell out of grace with The Hills show's producers, after they repeatedly coerced meetings between LC and her former best friend from Colorado, Heidi Montag (nee Pratt). The ever abundance of "reunions" was noticeable by the MTV teaser ads for the last two seasons, respectively. Conrad left the show and during the reunion special made it clear that there would more than likely get no cameos. Replacing Conrad is Cavallari, who rose to fame as LC's nemesis on MTV's Laguna Beach. Cavallari has already sparked some Hate speech from Hill's resident whine-o, Stephanie Pratt:

“We are not really fans of her,” Pratt told the mag. “She doesn’t want to be friends with us. She wants to bring her acting skills to ‘The Hills’ and yell at all of us.”

Come on, Stephanie. Nobody on The Hills acts. Right? Right...

Republican Governors are in the news a lot this week! We're already tired of the SC mess, so we figured we'd move to something a bit less controversial. We couldn't find that so we went with Palin. Gov. Palin is paying over $8k back to the good people of Alaska. Yep. She's being hit by the recession just like the rest of us! Gov. Palin, as part of new ethics legislation in that state, is paying back $8,143.62 for travels that involved her daughters. The older I get, the more romance I have with the desert that spawned me. It’s not just about the neon city, Elvis and Frank Sinatra – it’s the fact that being in Vegas excluded us from the ‘indie-ness’ of other places. I didn’t know that what we were doing might be considered uncool. If The Killers had been based in New York or Portland, we would’ve done things ironically… Like I said, I don’t understand why more people don’t wear sequins.

We don't know why either Brandon. We think Sequins are fully acceptable in all situations most americans find themselves in. Michael Phelps, the Olympian extroadinaire, gave an interview to British paper, The Guardian, in which he said:

I was pretty terrible [low, wry laugh]. I went out quietly, on my own, and I swam a couple of miles. I didn't quite know what to expect because this is the longest time I've ever been out the pool – but I was not very good. Just not very good at all. But I'm happy I'm getting back in the water and starting to make my way back to where I need to go. Like you said, it'll just be very good to get back to some kind of ordinary routine. I've always been big on finding a rhythm to my life, which is what training gives you, and I'm looking forward to that and starting to make the run for the next four years.

In the interview, he also diclosed that the first time he was in the pool since Beijing was just last week! Michael, keeps that body tight even without the pool? We're so jealous! See the full story here.

Rumor has it that his ''girlfriend'', Amanda Beard, who revealed that she never dated Phelps, may have been a tool in the Public Relations game to keep Michael in the closet to the American Public. Michael, who denies such reports, has also played coy with the media, choosing to basically state that ''A man's private life is his private life.'' All of this is alleged of course, and we don't mind if Phelps is gay at all! In fact, we know if for some reason he ends up inside a State Prison in California, he can now marry his cellmate!

We reported it first: LC's dinner date with co-star Whitney Port did not go well. The lunchdate, which also included shooting scenes for her MTV reality show, The Hills, left Lauren Conrad emotionally battered. Read more HERE. Lauren is having such a hard time dealing with all the changes in her life, she consulted a Psychic on Thursday September 4th. Close friend and confidante Whitney is rumored to be getting her own show about life in New York, and it seems the show is already Seguewaying into that direction. Meanwhile, rumors are flying that Lauren and Heidi have indeed buried the hatchet for the final season of the hit show, which draws in a large audience every week and is currently MTV's most popular program. Lauren seems to be caving from the pressure. Lauren was seen on Thursday at a Psychic's office in Los Angeles with a sign that read, "Maria Milagrosa Curandera Espiritual”. Lauren was also wearing a Kaballah string which we assume means she's making a desperate attempt to connect with some higher power. We only hope the visit can help Lauren resolve her apparent control issues.

No Bar for Heidi and Spencer, but Green Acres Remake?

Spencer and Heidi may be the most hated couple in the recent invention of reality TV. Style magazine W claimed the real-life couple was in talks to open a place called The Hill in the Big Apple's Murray Hill district, but Pratt insists the rumours are false.

He says,"It's not true."

However, a source of mine says that we should be watching for an announcement from MTV about a "Green Acres" remake. Green Acres was a show that ran in the 60's with a theme about a city couple taken to the country and how they often comedically, adapted to their new life. Zsa Zsa Gabor headlined the show. So basically the show would be a Heidi and Spencer version of 'The Simple Life.' Heidi and Spencer reputedly are in love with all things 1960s, as evidenced by their apartment which was featured in US Weekly with that whacked out recycled 1960's television-turned-fishbowl. Rupert Friend is getting great reviews in the UK for his role as a Nazi in the new film, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. No, I didn't make a spelling error. The Holocaust based film follows the storyline of a child who encounters Friend's character as a cruel emissary from the Master Race. As the UK's Times Online says,

"Friend was born to play a Nazi. Maybe it’s the high cheekbones, seemingly cut from granite, the piercing aquamarine eyes..."

Apparently she kept looking for photogs and then dryed her eyes, grabbed her Balenciaga and finished shooting the show. Could this be connected with Audrina's hospital visit? Or could she be upset over her recent decision not to film any more seasons of the smash hit, The Hills on MTV?
