Best known for its one-of-a-kind Boat Parade, this multicultural event features over 100 vessels, from kayaks to sailboats to mega-yachts, all bedecked in holiday regalia. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the parade will embark on a 12-mile route that officially runs from the Riverside Hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale to Lake Santa Barbara, and lasts for about an hour and a half. Sarah and Damon Brobst enlisted the help of Charter One Yachts to host their ceremony and reception aboard the beautiful Floridian Princess on March 12, 2011. The couple prepared for their special day with their respective parties at the word-famous Bahia Mar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach. Sarah and her bridesmaids popped open a bottle of champagne while Damon toasted his groomsmen with a cup of beer to celebrate their pending nuptials. Once aboard, friends and family looked on as the pair exchanged hand-written vows on the bow of the ship, blowing bubbles after the couple’s first kiss as man and wife. Guests moved to the main salon for cocktail hour, sipping top-shelf drinks served by the yacht’s friendly and attentive staff. After the newlywed’s first dance, guests were treated to a gourmet dinner, followed by a toast and the bouquet toss. Once the garter was tossed, the party began! Guests danced the night away, creating a truly memorable experience for all.
