October 5, 2013: The Bataan Nuclear Power Plant Trip

LONG OVERDUE. I haven't been taking many photographs (which I will fix very very soon) so here's something I've been meaning to post. We had to go to the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) to do research for the Committee on Energy and it was PRETTY DARN AMAZING.

The day started early at 7:00am.

The one on the right is Edsel. I work with him in the office.

He's an Energy guy as well as the mascot of the E-Team.

Cong. Cojuangco wanted to ride the bus so we used his car. woohooooooooo

ZZZZZZZZZZ
This is Laurence. We work with her also!

But first, we dropped by the National Power Corporation for brunch.

And then to the plant!!!

Very power plant-y. It felt like a game!!!

But first, orientation.

A replica

Cong. Cojuangco leading the orientation. The issue with the BNPP is that it was created a long time ago but is not operating. We were actually there to be educated on the BNPP and how it may pose as a possible solution to some of our power woes. It was pretty interesting stuff! This is one issue that will definitely come to a conclusion this 16th Congress. ^_^

ALSO LOOK AT THAT URANIUM PELLET MAGNETICALLY FLOATING INSIDE A BALLPEN

LOL? NO???

Off to the tour of the plant.

AH SO WONDERFULLY VAST

Laurence as a tank

Delicious lighting mmmm

And we enter!

How power is generated. EXTREMELY COOL

Things that matter

Space ship

Testing rods

GETTING SOME REALLY GREAT TARDIS VIBES!!!!!

Hey y'alls

NUCLEAR WASTE STORAGE!

THE URGE TO FILM IN THIS PLACE IS S T R O N G

Reminds me of Hal!!!

WARNING SIGNS - MAKES THINGS MORE ATTRACTIVE TO TOUCH

We go to the top floor

last words

Beautiful view

With one of the engineers who helped make the BNPP happen

Sweaty friends

Bye, plant.

AND WE'RE OFF TO THE BEACH!

Ugh this salad. THIS. SALAD.

It was also Cong. Cojuangco's birthday that day so lunch was A+++

yay

Thanks for the trip, the food, and the knowledge!!! COMMITTEE ON ENERGY REPRESENT

And we say goodbye.

May 3, 2013 - Food Blog Test Day 1

2013-05-03T13:58:00.001-07:00

Eras (designer), Forest (chef), and I (photographer) are planning on making a food blog! We met up on a Friday to discuss our plans over a home-cooked lunch. We have exciting things in store for our upcoming site and until things have been finalized, I cannot reveal our main concept as of yet.

We (by we, I mean mostly Forest) made focaccia bread, sinigang fried chicken, and liver in onion gravy. He is currently a culinary student of DLSU-CSB and naturally, he is fond of experimenting with food. Eras and I, however, are still currently unemployed. Eras is still job hunting, while I am freelancing because I will be leaving for the States in August and will be there until around November so I can’t hold a full-time job just yet.

So I leave you with this for now! Here is how the meal came together:

CLICKY

We enter Forest's abode and we are greeted by one of his dogs. He is named Ugly.......

The lab

NO SOUP FOR YOU!

Eras and I gearing up as well. Domestic-style.

This is Ice Cream, the parent of Ugly.

Focaccia Bread PART 1

We made the dough first and allowed it to rise as we made the rest of the food.

Herbies.

Focaccia bread is basically made out of flour, yeast, sugar, rosemary, oregano, and basil.
Dip: Balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.

4 cups

Open up that packet of dry yeast and dissolve in lukewarm water.

Shove it in your friend's face.

Forest: They say you shouldn't mix it but I do it anyway.

Forest: Yeast is alive and has been put to sleep much like a dying dog. You just need to put it in warm water. That doesn't apply to dead dogs though.

Combine dry ingredients in a big-ass bowl.

Add in that yeast.

Mix.

And maybe even ask a woman to do it.

Cover it up and let that pretty little thang rise.

Sinigang Fried Chicken

Basically fried chicken with a sinigang mix coating.

Gather!
Chicken, flour, sinigang mix, eggs, bread crumbs, cooking oil.

Crack dem eggs and beat.

Combine sinigang mix, flour, and bread crumbs in a separate plate.

First coat with egg then with the dry mixture so it sticks. When they're all nicely covered fry them babies!!

Done! Sinigang fried chicken.

Liver in Onion Gravy

I don't normally eat liver, but now I do!!

All you need: Liver, onions, butter, cornstarch, sugar, cooking oil, salt and pepper.

Threaten your onion so it knows its place.

Mince!

Heat up your pan and melt the butter.

Make sure your liver is ready.

Bring your onions in.

Add salt.

Add more salt.

Add cornstarch to thicken.

Add more cornstarch to thicken.

Set your gravy aside and in another pan, heat up some oil.

Fry your liver until cooked all the way through.

Salt.

Take a baby strainer and pour the gravy you just prepared over your liver leaving the onions behind.
You can always make more gravy later on if you want onions in your dish.

Let it sit for a bit longer.

And... here it is! Liver in Onion Gravy.

Focaccia Bread PART 2

The dough has risen!

Punch it.

Then knead.

Poke holes so it doesn't turn into a loaf.

Well hello there sexy.

Brush olive oil on top.

This is quite interesting. Forest says that metal is too hot to cook bread properly so while his house as being renovated, he took a spare tile from his living room. He cleaned it up and he now uses it as a baking tile!

Balsamic vinegar and olive oil in a plate.

MMMMMMM Focaccia bread

All that's left is to pack up, partake, and talk about plans!

August 9-13, 2012: Trip to Zambales

2012-08-25T10:30:00.003-07:00

August 9-13, 2012: Trip to Zambales

After going through the biggest tragedy my siblings and I could possibly go through, I decided to go to the province to put myself together. That was also the week when a monsoon devastated Manila and other surrounding provinces with crazy floods. But that didn't stop me from going to Zambales anyway.

I hopped on that bus and headed out at 8am. I thought that even if it wasn't the safest and reasonable thing to do, the universe would not fuck me over after what just happened on July 30, 2012.

I realized that I have never photoblogged about my cousins. That's because the last time I saw them was 4 years ago when our grandmother passed away. They are my absolute best friends in the entire universe. 4 years is a long time and I am glad nothing has changed between us. Even if over those 4 years a lot of disagreements between parents and other relatives have come and went, I am so thankful that they are still in my life.

This post is for them and to let them know that I am very proud and thankful that I have been blessed with such great cousins.

ALLONS-Y!

(click for more photooossss)

With my bus ticket and receipt! Ready to leave!!

Empty bus at 8am in the middle of a flooded Metro Manila

Keeping my belongings close. I wasn't able to sleep the night before because Dy came over and we just hung out allll niiiiggghhht.

Mmmm rainy

Waiting for the bus to depart

4 hours later, we arrive in Olongapo.

This was my first bus ride to the province alone. It wasn't that bad. Except for when the bus almost left me when we stopped over. :c

Olongapo City!

They waited for 2 hours or as keesey would put it, AN ETERNITY!!!

L-R:

Danna, Keesey, Ate Maine

Danna banana

And he drives!

Uncle Kees, Keesey's dad was there. That's the kitchen area of the Red Lion Inn.

These are some of the rooms. We used to stay at Keesey's family's house whenever we visited. But since they put up this inn, everyone's pitching in to help manage/keep an eye on the place.

Keesey's mom sleeps in their house still and we drove her there every night.

Ate Maine in her natural habitat

Changed clothes. Ready to lie around the beddssss

Picking Mommy Dianne (Keesey's mom) up from the house!

Ate Maine is so addicted to Bejeweled!!! hehehe

That's Mommy Dianne at the extreme left

I spot their wonderful refrigerator and fell in love!!!

hehehe

Mornings

We go to the common area to have brunch!

This is what we eat alll the time. Spicy Korean noodles with kimchi. MMM SO SO GOOD.

Danna slept ahead of us and we got bored

"Stupid"

HEHEHE SO CLASSY

The following night, we decided to have Keesey's beard trimmed.

Me and Danna trying to look decent.

GO SHOWER, BOY.

Mommy Dianne Skyping with my Mom.

Smexy ladies

Adobo outside. Danna is an excellent cook. mmmm

Still hasn't showered!!

c:<

Rainy rainy rainy

Kuya Emy walks up to me posing. But I point my camera at him and he runs! haha

Harbor Point is the new Ayala Mall at SBMA.

We walk to Olongapo to look for a place that could trim Keesey's beard.

WHO'S THAT GUY HAHAAHA

Sorry Ate Maine and Danna. So out of focus

Unfortunately, there were none. :(

They like treating me like a paparazzi!!!

Victor :3

We have Army Navy for dinner

We step outside for a bit to let Ate Maine have a smoke.

Danna spots this animal thing and we ride around on it haaahaaaaaaaaaaaa

MILKSHAKE!

Took a picture of this boy shaking his bootaaay while in this thing

We walk around inside some more and see Victor again!

I pop by CD-R King to look for an FM modulator. MY GOD IT TOOK FOREVER!!

We head on out to the boardwalk-less boardwalk

Ate maine why so serious?!

We decided to walk around by the beach in the darkness.

HUGS EVERYWHERE

HAHAHA YOUR FACES

The next morning, Keesey and I woke up first and played with Ate Maine's hair extensions HAHA

Always sleeping with their devices!

This was also the morning the drove me back home. :( :( :(

Bye bye, bebes

Keesey still had a week left before heading back to Holland.

In the car. All smiles, but was really dying inside!!!!

I got back home and lay down on my bed.

It all felt like a dream

Steph comes knocking on my door and welcomes me back. :)

Have a good long weekend, everyone!

June 4-7, 2012: A very long post! Also trying to power through life.

2012-06-10T21:32:00.002-07:00

June 2-7, 2012

Days are rolling by and there is one thing in my life that’s getting worse. So I thought I’d bring my camera as often as I could to force myself to look for interesting things everyday. It’s really difficult, but I try really, really hard to do so. I’m not ready to share what that thing in my life is just yet, but maybe someday I will be. I haven’t even spoken to all my good friends about it. Talking is tough. It makes things much more real.

A crappy meeting

June 4, 2012

This was when I spent the entire afternoon trying to update my iPhone's iOS and jailbreak.

This was also when I managed to fuck my phone up. At first it booted back up, then it had a lot of complications by not getting out of "pwned DFU mode" until it gave up booting back up all together and all I got was a white screen.

Fortunately, I was able to back up all my contacts, files, etc. and just restored it back to its factory settings without jailbreak. that only happened like, 5 days after this whole mess.

-_____-

I went to bed and I heard shuffling noises outside my room.

It's Jimbo getting ready for his first day of college! YAY

Good luck, baby boy

In the morning I prepare myself. We had a meeting with some clients who were a little old--late 40s-50s perhaps. I try to look decent.

I wait for my friends to come pick me up. Always talking to a lot of people on Facebook. Always these people as well hahahaha

Eras comes knocking on my door! They usually give me a call because they dislike having to go down the car, but my phone was busted. Sorry!

COMIIING

Hi KIKO.

The Chinese hat was still in the space wagon.

We park outside Josh's place. He was still taking a bath haha

SUCH A WARM DAY. It just penetrates through the car windows. Blahhh

Hurrrr

I have no more photographs of this day after this one. We drove all the way to Makati and the meeting wasn't the most pleasant thing of the day. Parking is hell in Makati and Kiko + Eras had to drive around for almost an hour looking for a parking space. They didn't even get to join in.

June 5, 2012:

The next day. We helped Yoly out with her promotional video for the org she made in UP (UP PRO CSSP).

I remember waking up and getting really confused because I'd forgotten a lot of things that I said the day before. I wasn't drunk or anything, I was just pretty fucking disoriented. I didn't have a phone so I relied on my natural body clock to wake myself up. I had a dream that I overslept and when I actually woke up, it threw me off.

I wait outside today. There's my phone.

I'd forgotten that school starts for the younger ones!

Hi Sebie! Have fun in Prep. :D

I go to Anne's house to panic. I couldn't reach Kiko and we were already late.

But we get there eventually and we shoot immediately.

Making them do power walks haha

Trying to set up a different angle for the walking. IT WAS A REALLY HOT DAY.

Coming to Kiko's aid with a fan. It didn't help, really.

That shade. So so so close to comfort.

Yolsy. Sorry for making you sit out here under the sunnn

DAMN IT YOLY THAT FACE

We went to the Beach House for lunch

MMMM BEST BARBECUE EVER

We resume shooting and head to a classroom.

Gamma and Yoly.

Stop doing your mommy pose. hahahahahahahahaha

So attractive. All the time.

Josh fixing audio

Kiko fixing the frame

I was supposed to be directing, but come on. Lame pose for the camera first!!

Awkward mic position

Whiteboard marker with chalkdust

We pack up for the last shot

Which was this!

And it doubled as an exit for the 3 of us. Hahahaha bye friends!

Creepy :(((((

Going home early? YES.

But first, stopping by Jollibee.

"Hi, Sir Francis!"

Jollibee Katipunan is where the drive-thru employess know Kiko by name HAHA

We drop by Josh's house to pick some stuff up (he was going to sleep over Kiko's to edit) and we always pass by this place.

So full of class

We reach our village and park somewhere to do narration.

After that.... Taho MMMM

And the twins were outside! SO HANDSOME

I get home and Ingrid greets me outside. :]

I do some work and eventually plop on my bed to get a little shut-eye. I had to wake-up at 8pm to take Dad to Eras' house. Her mom is his new doctor! It's so great. She's kind and very honest. Not to mention she's willing to be our doctor for FREE.

But of course, I didn't bring my camera to that appointment.

When I was about to leave Eras' house, Kiko, Josh, and Carlo were outside! They were planning on doing an ambush sleepover at Kiko's. We seem to work better if we're all together in one place. Damn it you guys haha

I drive Dad back home and I say goodbye to Mom

June 6, 2012: 12:00am

And here they were!

We arrive at Kiko's and there's always a dog ambush!

This one's my favorite :)

They move around a lot and it's difficult to take photos

This one's the licker. huhu

We begin edit

BUT POTATO IS HERE!!!!!!! Awww my baby potato

Why do you look so shocked?!

Hehe

Don't struggle pls

June 7, 2012: 12:03am

When we finished editing the Orsem Film, we headed off to the University Dorm to give Bee the DVD. And thennnnnn, Tagaytay!

Also, this is a gel test.

BATMAN

Kiko: "STOP THAT FLASH"

HEY BEEBEE. Sorry for being 2 hours late!!!

We gas up. Kiko is asking Josh to pull his finger...............

This photo is so scary. :(

Awkward hair flying action

YEAH

The flash was blinding

Carlo why were you extra creepy that night?!

Dat smile

"hoi, i'm tyler durden"

Just sitting by the sidewalk. We got there at around 2am. All the shops were closed!!!

Bottom left photograph. WHY

Taking photos everywhere

Hair was also everywhere hahaha

YAY GELS

So hipster it hurts

Dark and empty. MMM I loved it

I could not have asked for classier friends

Bizarre angle

About to leave

HAHA so dangerous! Random big-ass trucks keep whizzing by!

We go home at 4:18am. I had Kiko and Eras' phones in case our helper had trouble with the blood testing person who was supposed to take samples from Dad at 6am.

The sun catches up. We were all very sleepy

We were back in Manila but my scarf was still on. So comfyyy

I arrive back home and my room was the same as I left it.

The Orsem Film was screened on that day. We got spectacular reactions which kicked the day off with a great start. But night fell and another meeting happened. My whole universe came crumbling down.
I don't know how much longer I can manage to cope. But I will sure as hell keep trying.

April 27, 2012: Tagaytay!

2012-06-02T00:38:00.002-07:00

I was in Boracay when Dy had her birthday. So there we went--Tagaytay!

Cool weather
Getting soaked
Still not knowing how we managed to finish all of that alcohol
Eli's
Going home and getting sick

CLICK

hahahahahahha that smug face

weird faces all around

When we got there, we saw a porch swing!

Settling down. Hi Nix!

Awkwardly standing

Did a little bit of grocery shopping.

One guy who was selling induction stoves spoke to me in broken English. He might have thought I was Korean???

Where all the magic happens

Waiting for the rice to cook

Damn it RJ. Calm yo tits.

I know this looks disgusting. But to those who love green mangoes + bagoong, YOU KNOW HOW GOOD THIS LOOKS

Then there was dancing

QT PIE

homies

Oh my god that laugh....

So many cups

After this photo, everyone started going crazy. JP pulled out the house and every got wet. Damn it was crazy and in hindsight, we looked gross. But boy was it FUN.

Birthday cupcakes!!

Half nakedness all around

And here is a picture of me on a basin. I DON'T KNOW OK.

I DONT KNOW

I can't remember why I did this

And morning arrived

My out of focused breakfast

That's where Ton slept with his towel

Good moooorrnnniiinngggg

Everyone snuggling up before leaving. It was getting hot outside so we enjoyed the airconditioning first.

Jackie made fried rice. I look miserable on the outside, but I was doing backflips on the inside.

everyone shhhhhhhh

Waiting for everyone to finish packing-up

RJ looking like Kuya Kim

Time for more adventure!!! (not really)

Nix--always so stylish hahahaha

The k00lkids

HAHAHA THAT SMILE

Socks and bruises

Happy birthday, ladylove

Ton doesn't want any more pictures taken of him hahahahaha

well too bad

adorable

I forgot what that gesture meant????

Anne is judging

And goes along with it anyway

he he he

Going home.

But first, we eat at Eli's!

Look at that view

Awkward finger pointing

That burger looks plain, but it was awesooome

Chicken teriyaki

LIEMPO

It was like eating a never-ending serving of liempo. Ugh I love this place

We hopped back in our cars and drove off.

I wish we had more days to spend over at Ton's house. I'm just glad I got to spend some time with them over summer.
A few days after this trip, most of us got sick. It was probably because of the whole getting soaked at midnight and sleeping inside a freezing bedroom immediately afterwards. bleh

April 23-26, 2012: Boracay!

2012-05-26T18:59:00.000-07:00

April 23-26, 2012: Boracay!

This year's first attempt to having a vacation! This was when I realized that it's pretty much impossible to escape in the middle of work. Also that adventurous vacations are not as enjoyable when you want to take a break from the chaos in your head. I spent most of my time sleeping by the beach and getting burnt.

Best thing about this trip was being with my best best best beeeesssttt friends since grade school! We are definitely travelling back in time very soon to give our 12 year old selves a high five.

CLICK FOR MORE PHOTOS!

Morning of the flight. Woke up reaaally early at Chaz' house in Antipolo.

So many people...

...had nowhere to sit haha

So blurry and dark

Catching up to the sun rise at the Clark terminal. SO BEAUTIFUL

Anj being hipster with her scarfff

Yoly is a Beatle

Reg being sleepy and graceful

Landed! It was rainy which I didn't mind because the rest of the trip was going to be HOT

Chazzywaz

We got this oyster boat + a bus ride for 250 pesos!

Look at how fucking amazing it is inside

Trike ride to the hotel

First photograph!

We had to cross this tiny alleyway to get to the beach.

Low tide

If there was one thing I disliked about the beach in Boracay (this particular one, at least) was that the waves weren't nasty and the tide was low :c

People blocking my view!!

Crushed sand turtle

So many stuff...

I skipped a few days of shooting and ended up having a foggy lens + sensor because I kept my camera inside our room for a day. We always put the airconditioning in the room at FULL BLAST.

Awkward breakfast seating

ERAS

They all went to buy food etc. I was stuck making sand typography.

I sucked.

Time for island hopping!

The ride was too bumpy and I didn't want to take my camera out. But we saw the prettier hotels and Manny Pacquiao's beach house. People also kept waving at us like we're all good friends. Hahaha I loved that

Anj is such a proper lady

Yoly is such a proper man

Smexy

My face is always overexposed

We found a deserted beach front!!!!

Time to fuck shit up

and collect pebbles. Iactually went under the rock full of hermit crabs and something fell on my shoulder. I FREAKED OUT GAH.

The Buff Baby Finn Trio! My god, we are SO c00l, we memorized the dance and song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5N6q9S1eS2A

haaaa soooo cheesy

and looking inappropriate?

Then we had to leave to to snorkel

That's me, surveying the water......... I didn't even know I was doing that until I saw this. Hahahahahaha Everyone hopped in the boat to sunbathe and I kept snorkelling. I saw a puffer fish!!!!

Anj and her starfish. Idk how she got it!

You can't see it clearly, but my face was RED

For Bea.

Yoly + Choriburger + Anj

Low tide again

We found cheaper shakes the next day! The shack was in front of our hotel all along

YUMMMM

This was how blue the water was.

Back at our tree doing sleepy stuff

Waiting for our banana boat

Reg at the speed boat to take our pictures

It was just really really fast

So squinty

Through sun glasses

Tiny paraw from afar

Then a closer one

Boats!

moooore boats

MY FAVORITE BOAT. It's named "Booty" HEHEHEEHEH

It looks gross at night, to be honest. hahaha

The next morning, we had crepes. Delicious and cheap crepes.

Tomato, basil, mozzarella. mmmmm

Nikki and I got henna tattoos the day before. She slept with the back of her hand on her face and had a duplicate on her left temple. HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH SO FUNNY

Baby Angola!

The hotel owners had two of the nicest and sweetest labradors in the worlddd

COCO! He is Angola's father. Angola's mom was a black stray.

Leaving for Manila now. Our guide was the best :]

My henna tattoo was so hipster, it hurt.

BYEEE

At the terminal.

Reg mocking me for one of the pictures on my camera. I had my mouth half open. But I deleted it because it was too blurry

Yoly + butt

I never got a window seat!!! bummer

Then back home.

I would say a bit more about this trip, but I need to take Jimbo and Dad to the barbershop now. Hahaha byeee

February 15 + 17, 2012: Random Day + Cool Catan Fridays in Tagaytay

2012-03-03T11:27:00.000-08:00

A pretty normal day with friends and getting whisked away into shady automobile shops and Tagaytay.

I have a lot of other pictures when I go out and work on projects, but looking at them is stressful. Hahaha maybe I'll save those for when I update my blog over a short month of summer slump.

CLICK FOR FULL POST!

Still looking raw for school. Always trying not to look tired!

Drove to school. That's my car right there in black. I was fortunate enough to bump into The Other Josh who was in a "double park-able" parking space. I had to ask him permission if I could use that space because by 11am, it's nearly impossible to find a decent parking slot.

HELLO CHANG! She's manning the ticket booth for our org's screening of a film.

Ning-ning looking slightly distressed. I think I woke her up haha

Workinnnnnn

The Other Josh's notes. He took over my camera at one point. haha

Fel!

Off to Philosophy 102 where the lighting is always INCREDIBLE.

Ma'am Jacinto. She is the best Philosophy professor EVER.

Our classmate suggested this word as an example. What an enjoyable way to study Philosophy!

Bored and waiting for Bee and Abby to rehearse for our acting workshop thing......

Matchy

We had a little less than 50 minutes to practice our lines. We got "Hannah and Her Sisters" by Woody Allen. I was Lee, Bee was Hannah, and Abby was Holly. I wasn't able to take photos of the class itself, but can I just say, we were pretty amazing. HAHAHAHAHAH

On my way to History 165 when I bump into Chaz! I hate that I rarely get to hang out with my best friends anymore. I only bump into them and have 30 seconds of asking how they are etc etc

After Histo, I hung out with Jeff for a bit. We discovered that the stall of Bagnet Rice had disappeared so we decided to stay at the smocket instead. It's such a shame, we'd been eating bagnet rice for 3 weeks after histo class together. :(

But first, he transfers his poor car.

We had these instead. They were OK.

We spot Nelson and Gabi at the smocket. Poses everywhere!

You can just sense the discomfort hahahahah

Then Jeff took me with him to the automobile shop. Surprisingly, what he wanted fixed was his speakers and not the hideous bump on his car.
The girl in the middle photograph was the daughter of the shop owner. She liked being on camera haha

Damn son, his car is P-I-M-P-E-D. I keep telling him he owns a fucking douche car.

The douche car digs cats.

We were supposed to be back before 6pm, but we arrived in school at 7:30pm. No complaints though. We listened to extremely loud music on the way back and it was pretty wonderful.

Then on Friday, my day began with Theology. Ah, look at this pretty gross view outside our window. I absolutely hate the construction outside. It makes our classrooms on the first floor look really gloomy bleeehhhh

Empty and deliciously lit hallways

Just slapping on that huge external flash on a G10.

Kiko was making disgusting gestures every time he passed by the JSEC. It was really disturbing. :c

MMM CLOUDS

I always prefer natural lighting in this building over the fluorescents

Gassing up and scarves on board for our Tagaytay trip!

But first we pass by De la Salle University because Kiko had a meeting with a student there.

Raf/Ellie was with us!

About his name, it's actually Rafael. His normal nickname is Raf but Bea started calling him Ellie at one point. At first I thought "Bea's nickname" of him was spelt as Ely or Eli, but apparently it was spelt the girly way. Hahahaha I don't know why I felt the need to explain, but I will refer to him as Raf in my photographs just because it looks mismatched if I use Ellie.

My neighbor was at McDonalds! He just entered college :]

Just judging everyone. Obviously.

This is kind of scary

A monster float that I regretted buying

"KIKO, DON'T YOU DARE BACK-UP!!"

When we arrived in Tagaytay. We had dinner at Chic-Boy first. MM

I always thought their servings were pretty generous compared to most fast food chains.

Creepy photographs begin here

Kiko :c

Off to Starbuck's Summit ridge............

.......to play Catan!!!!

Raf was Dungeon Master. I don't know why we needed one, but he's just there giving really shitty situations for us to be in in the game!!!

We had been playing for forever and it was because Raf and The Other Josh gave us really crappy locations in Catan. -__________-

If any of you know how to play the game, just observe our positions....

That 7 is so ungodly.

*7 - means the player gets to move the thief (grey peg) which was eventually dubbed as the "Gay Raider" by our Dungeon Master. the player can put it on a resource and steal a card from a player who resides by the resource.

Kiko getting pissed

Raf enjoying himself

STUPID ROCKS + LOW PROBABILITY

All wheat

We took Abby's picture and stuck it on the Gay Raider's head. Awesome.

Jeff's picture is representative of the Abysmal Knights

(I realise that this post might be getting a bit too dorky???)

SKY PALACES??? IDK WHAT'S HAPPENING ANYMORE???

Anyway, we all went back home and arrived a lot later than expected. Haaaa

December 20 + 23, 2011: Mustachio Christmas Party + Eve of Christmas Eve

FRIENDS

Home life has been pretty chaotic for 2011. I've got these people to help me get through emotional, physical, and personal financial battles. This Christmas, I got to celebrate my appreciation for them. They make me feel like it's Christmas all year 'round. It's seldom that you find a group (I found 3!) of friends who are willing to support you without hesitation. People tell me I have too many friends or too many best friends. But in a way, I can't help it if the one thing I'm sure I'm good at is finding amazing people in my life!

My childhood friends aren't in this post, but they will have their own be pretty soon!

December 20, 2011 - A Mustachio Christmas at Eloy's

Georgia (sux)

Bea brought a lot of barbecue and isaw from their slaughter house and grilled them outside. More than an hour of party was devoted to grilling-fun!

I like it when newspaper burns

Everyone is just watching. HAHA

EJ!

Bee bee. :D

We bought new lightstnads, btw! Kiko couldn't help but make most of it by taking photographs with it. Such production dorks even if a Christmas party is going on. hahaha

Ech and Kiko took portraits of us and you can look at them here

December 23, 2011: Eve of Christmas Eve Tradition at Chaz' condo, Tagaytay, and Justin's house

Every 23rd of December for about 3 or 4 years now, I have been spending my Eve of Christmas Eve with my best friends. :D

We also have a theme every year. For this year, it's (ugly) sweaters!

(Photo from Eras)

Hung out at Chaz' condo until lunchtime so we could be with Anj. She couldn't come with us to Tagaytay because she has to take care of her aunt who is deathly ill. :(

Eras looking good in black and white

Chazzy!

Reg looking for an internet connection

Borrowing a skirt. My god, we are always raiding Chaz' closet! Sorry Chemmyyyyy

Innocent headband

Eras is getting skinnier! EAT, WOMAN. EAT!

MMM COZY

So my (ugly) sweater is weird. The sleeves are long but the sweater itself isn't. I had to wear high-wasted shorts with them. I was afraid of getting too cold in Tagaytay so I wore tights!

Patty cake, Patty cake...

HAHAHAHAHAHA YOLY'S SWEATER HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH

When I got home, I just slapped that pore strip on my face. It didn't really work as well as I expected it to (even if I followed all the steps).

BUT AH WELL, THAT WAS A PRETTY AMAZING DAY

Happy Christmas, friends! :)

Dang girl, you're wearing the same thing you wore last night!

CLICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKz

December 15, 2011

4 1/2 hours to kill. I spent the afternoon with Eras and the rest of the ID (information design) kids at the painting room.

Jenny and Dwayne were playing Catsup*, I think. Jenny was losing teeerrribly hahaha

*Basically Rock, Paper, Scissors. But the loser gets a slap on the hand.

It was a very sleepy afternoon. So we slept on tables. Hahaha!

Finally, Under The Stars came! It was supposed to be held a week earlier, but the rain was a bitch.

Ghostly.

Mark and Cathy are happy!!

Storm! I hung out with him all night and had an awesome time. I only met him this semester and am glad I'm still meeting new friends. For some reason, I thought my schedule was getting too specific that it was forcing me to hang out with people I'm familiar with all the time.

December 18, 2011

Assembling at Chaz' condo. We were actually going to her nephew's christening reception.

Reg looking pretty classy

Hey there, domestic Chaz!!

What.

Rainy.

I wasn't able to take pictures of the reception itself. We were too busy eating. We got stuck in AWFUL traffic on our way to the venue and we were staaarrrving.

Eras wasn't supposed to go to the Loyola Film Circle's Yule Ball, but she tagged along at the last minute.

Kitkat and Shanice :D

Bea, Marty, Jeno and Gael

and now with Will. Wtf Gael.....

Make a funny face!

Damn it, Marty.

Marty is everyone's Chinese friend.

Gael and Bianca!! Ha so adorable. :D

Love you, hair.

Awkward poses galore

HAHAHAHAHA GENERIC PROM PHOTOS

CARLO. THAT FACE.

Kool kidz

Being appropriate

It was late. We went back to Carlo's condo to chill, then off to Cantina to join the others for a night of drinking. I only drank hot chocolate because I'm too cool for liquor. Hahahaha no.

Good morning, you guys.

Cleaning up. Apparently, Bea and the others ate 5 hard-boiled eggs and a can of corned beef. I can't even remember anyone getting up.

Bea couldn't even remember it until she saw that she posted a photo of boiling eggs on her twitter captioned: YES

Going home to get proper sleep.

But of course, Moonleaf milk tea for breakfast!!

Life is good. The break is here and AAAHHH I can't wait for the gatherings to come. :)

Merry Christmas, everyone.

To those who are on break, HAVE AN AWESOME ONE.

So I met up with Carlo first and was supposed to hang out at his place until the others arrived, but he said his sister had friends coming over. Also, the Batcave is moving!! Aaggggh I wish I had taken more photos of the Batcave from way before.

Braving the flash!

In between the Batcave and these photos, we basically planned to go to Banchetto which supposedly had a sky lantern gathering. But the organizers cancelled at the last minute so we decided to go to Cuenca, Alabang instead where they had ANOTHER sky lantern gathering! It was like a 2 hour drive away and the traffic was horrible! blaaahhh

The pain

We didn't expect the drizzle + mud. :(

First lantern to fly!

Lighting up

and flying!

We were looking to buy lanterns, but they ran out.

So we kind of just picked up these lanterns on a table.........

We got two!!

When we went out to light our lanterns, there were already so many up in the night sky!

It was beyond beautiful.

It was like watching hundreds of souls taking flight.

Mustachio lantern to celebrate our anniversary. :)

Unfortunately, I was not able to take a photo of my own lantern. Obviously.

But Kiko was able to take awesome photos + videos of it! Will post once I get a hold of it.

A goodbye from the kids at the comfy backseat!

July 9, 2011 - Wall Lords 2011

2011-10-23T07:15:00.000-07:00

FINALLY!

Haven't updated in MONTHS but it's because of the shit of work that was thrown at me this last semester. But that is DONE! I am on break so I have lots to catch-up on.

I was initially planning on doing a quick catch-up, but I realised later on that I'd be wasting many photographs I took over my photoblog drought. So here's one that I skipped over when I posted the Bacon Party post a long time ago.

WALL LORDS 2011

Lou (Yoly's brother) is the one who heads the organizing of Wall Lords. It's this competition between graffiti crews who have passed the preliminary rounds of their respective regions. This year was the 2nd annual Wall Lords and Yoly made us man the registration booth + take pictures.

Oh god, I love the smell of spray can fumes. HEHE

CLICK FOR PICTURES. HUZZAH!

Hitched a ride with Eras to Marikina Riverbanks. I brought her a can of Pringles as a sign of my undying gratitude.

We forgot to bring a big enough money box so we had this instead.

Business is looking up.

Preparing the panels! That's Lou in black.

So You Love Vandalism

I kind of like how they aren't sensitive about this whole "This is not vandalism - it's graffiti!" thing.

Justin

...should have a haircut.

Looking tiny

We stamped ourselves and the ink takes a while to dry. We had to learn it the hard way :(

First to arrive!

Nicest bouncers EVER.

Yolsyballs

AAAND THEY BEGIN!

This man popped up from behind the panels. Adorable haha

Colors!

In a ponytail

Chaz looking like her brother. hahahahahahahahhaha

Professional and organized!

AND WE SAW A BOY WHO LOOKED LIKE JOSH!!!

Very gay.

Got bored at one point. Looked through Chaz' planner. Hehe

WISHING I HAD MONEY

Tie-dye!! There was a station especially for this. So hipster. Haha

The middle panel was for the judges + last year's champion who also showed-off their graffiti prowess.

Crude signage by Eras, Chaz, and yours truly.

Kid looking over the bars. I wish I could sneak him in! :(

Chaz' friend

Getting more organized! (and richer)

Love you

Caps! I never knew they had so many gadgets for spray cans.

I WANT A MASK

AWWWYEA

Phil! The youngest of the siblings. The rest of Lou and Yoly's family went to check out the event. So sweet!

In one corner, a little boy was break dancing... He had his own little show!

HOST!!!! :D

He came aaaaaall the way from Hong Kong!

Baby eyes

Done!

And of course, a Flip Top battle! Damn son, I'm too small for these kinds of crowds.

I had no idea what was going on at this point...

I think this is the viewing bit

Chemmy and I being tourist-y! In all honesty, my friends and I are always like this when we visit different places. We're like shameless parents. hahahaha

Sinic was one of the judges!

COOL AUTOGRAPH.

Lou and Marj (Lou's girlfriend - also organized)!

Ungga!

He wouldn't let me take a picture unless I took a picture of him...

AND HERE ARE THE FINISHED WORKS:

^ From FTC - the winning team!!

And the night ended with us eating at a dampa (market restaurant thing).

And here's a sleeping cat on my seat. <3

I made an onigiri with bacon filling. Josh made me eat it whole. I don't know why I did it, but I did it.

GROSS :( :(

We dared Georgia to eat it.

Because she's always wrong.

Always.

AGGHHHHHHHH GROOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I would do many things, but I will never do that. HUHU

This is why I love Georgia in spite of her perpetual wrongness.

Just took a picture just to show you guys how ridiculous Carlo's signature is. Hahahahahahahahhahahah

And Josh crawls in.

This is a visual interpretation of how bacon makes it's way into your body. :)

And hard.

There was this special part of the program where in they distributed living butterflies that were kept in folded pieces of paper. We all say a wish for Apple and let them loose. They say that when one lands on you, you whisper your wish. When it flies away, it will fly up to the highest gods and grant your wish for you. :)

...but this one never even got the chance to land on someone. :(

Ech and KC! They've been best friends since they were toddlers.

Childhood Appreciation Post!

2011-05-15T02:26:00.000-07:00

I apologize for the lack of activity both off and online. Life has been difficult. Of course, I cannot expect other people to understand--it would be unfair of me to do so. I tend to live inside my head a lot when I'm facing difficulties, but I'm always doing my best to step out and feel the real world!

I feel like it's time for me to grow-up; but I also feel like it's not the right time yet. I don't think I will ever be ready so here goes nothing!

In light of my current struggles, here are a few photos of my happy childhood.
