Yesterday I did the hardest thing I've ever done...

I told someone i couldn't trust them. This was really hard for me, because I try to see the better in people. Even when people have talked badly, called me out, and tried dragging me through mud, I've always looks for the sliver lining.

No more.

I'm tried of trying to make the best out of situations that indirectly effect me. I've given too much power away. Also, I've given up on certain friends who have never done anything negative to me, but were just another number added to my friends list.

The way I see things, is that if I no things are going to go sour, I step away before it gets to that point. And there's two of you out there that know that. And one of you probably hasn't excepted that yet.

Let's take a look and the following quote:

I think that the worse thing for me is not being allowed to experience my emotions. They are my emotions, don't make me feel guilty for having them. If I'm sad, don't tell me to cheer up and count my blessings. I do that every single day. And just because you're not there to keep track doesn't mean I'm not doing it.

I realize now that the people that I've asked for help on to understand things, were the wrong people. Always ask the teacher, not your fellow classmate. They could be just as, or more, lost than you are.

I'm glad the people I've chosen to associate with are teachers, and not students.

Granny Agejou Make UP!

I came across this video on tumblr today in the Ageha tag...

It's safe to say I was amazed and tickled by it. I've often joke with friends of past about a Granny Gal retirement home, where are exercise would be para para and having an unlimited supply of makeup, lenses, hair. But of course, i was also studying how the applied everything to the mima in question.

I've never seen someone apply lenses to another person. I would assume that's unsanitary. But as long as they don't touch the inside part of the lenses I guess that's okay. I wish I knew enough Japanese to understand what the Grandma was saying, she looks like a very witty person, as most are.

This makes me want to get my grandma dressed up in gal. But I'm extremely afraid to. Her church is a competitive place when it comes to style. It would be anarchic to even put something remotely gal in my mima's look. But... I think I will anyways. I've been meaning to make a Hime/Agejou style Church hat for her to wear on Sunday it's going to be a mix of La Parfait and Jesus Diamante with a hint of sparkle. *Chuckles* I'll probably have to make sure she buys a new outfit with it. I don't think she owns any pink.

「023」I have feels, So I must be fake

I've been sitting here in serious contemplation about my fashion and beauty influences. Honestly... I understand how the hipsters and scene kids must feel.

You work so hard to be something, but you're not allowed to openly admit it without seeming like a poseur.

I love gyaru so much because it reflects the style I've always wanted to do. It shows what I desire to look like. But it seems that finding non toxic, like minded people is a one of those epic quests that tends to lead to a shitty Easter egg.

Luckily for me, the journey and the egg was worthwhile. Not only have I found a few people that I don't have to worry about stabbing me in the back, but they are doing things for themselves. Every 'real' gal that I've met (online and in person) are in some kind of business for themselves, or we are working together to make money. And the support I receive is beautiful.

Yesterday, I discovered that being associated with me online is the equivalent of having a contagion. And really, who thinks like this? If someone is paying you decent money to do what you love, would you reject the work?

Anything you see on here that is commissioned, I drop any where from $100-$200 a piece to have made. In a previous post, I stated that I do my part for gal by paying for product/services from a gal before going to a company.

It makes sense right? You're trying to buy brand and live "the life." You can't be about that life if you don't have the paper to do so right? So why are you upset that I'm not buying from you? I'll put it this way..

If you sell a product or service that I like, and I know you're appreciative of my business, I will drop money on you.

It's that simple. There are a lot of things I would like to buy, and plan on buying at a certain point. But if I find out that it costs too much in drama, bullshit, stress, let alone the money, I won't even bat an eyelash at you.

It's weird when you have undercover gals as friends. And I mean, its to the point to where I'm afraid of promoting products some times because of the very few who start shit and the sheep that follow without looking at the whole picture.

I do understand that the prettier the face, the more credibility you have, but why not use that influence for the greater good?

Slowly but surely I'm drifting away from this community. Actually no, I take that back. I've been out of the community for a while now. Right after the first Black Diamond fiasco I was done. I slowly transitioned out of all of the groups.

There was one group I wanted to join... but I couldn't get an invite so I just took it as another sign that the GalComm wasn't for me. It really is a shame that Ricoche is invite only, but it's probably because we gaijin ruined it. Anyways...

I know that I'm Gal by Japanese definition. It just seems that I'm not a 'gaijin' gyaru, because I don't fit the mold that has been... created, broken, fixed, repeat.

I've even noticed that a lot of my favorite gyaru models don't call themselves gal. Just that they are a model of {insert gyaru magazine name here}.

If anything, I only think labels like Gyaru, gal mama, and gaijin gal, are only good for those who are trying to find a specific look or person. It's no longer a proper form of identity. No longer special.

Honestly, the best gals are the ones that have evolved from the 'gaijin' label. I could name names, but where's the fun in that?

There was a point in all of this, wasn't there? lol Looks like it wen't out the window again.

「022」Beauty Inspirations S/S 2013 (pic heavy)

Unlike most of my fellow Gyaru, my inspirations come from a particular formula:

Tumblr Beauty + Celeb Beauty + Ageha Beauty = My beauty Inspo.

My methodology for inspiration is a few step process

Discovery

This is the time I see something interesting, funny, or mesmerizing. I try my hardest to find as many photos and information as I can on the subject and download a ton of media and data to my computer, evernote, dropbox, Google Drive, etc.

Disregard

I'll let the photos sit in my hard drive for some time. This is usually because I'm moving on to the next interesting thing. Or somehow drama ensues and I'm unhappy. I won't develop my look without being in a happy mind frame This can take days to weeks. The longest it's ever gone was 6 months. And that was when I was first interested in gal.

renaissance

I tend to clean out my archives about once every 6 months. It's more often lately since I have a clear focus of what I want. And when I do I see so much promise in what I have, it's like falling in love with the style again and reassessing everything. Under this phase I do the following:

Research

Taking a day to fully breakdown the look and find the appropriate tutorials and bloggers to correspond with it.

Application

Testing out different looks and getting the opinions of my local friends and family.

Decision

I decide whether to love it out leave it. It's as simple as that!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to do a quick recap of what has happened this week:

Here's the inspiration (from IFB) that helped me through my week:

First off, I'm surprised and excited at Mitsu's Latest post, What's New and Trending in Gyaru Makeup for 2013. Pictured below is Aina Tanaka from Egg magazine. Her look has changed so drastically in my eyes, but I love it. I never really fancied it before, being more of a Yumachi fan. Looks like I'll be updating my makeup more.

And speaking of makeup, I finally got a look at Abisag's contouring video. I'm so behind with this, but here's the video:

I enjoyed this video. I REALLY enjoyed this video. Because I felt like I was right there, sitting next to Abi. I'm going to attempt doing this make up look this weekend. I have a May 9th deadline to meet so I think this will greatly help me out.

Another blog posts that has captured my attention is the White Spring look by Rii. I've been seeing scans of it around the Gyaru tag on tumblr, and I thought it would be nice to show you want I found interesting:

GYDA, and it's designer Yuria, is a personal favorite of mine. :3

I may be weird, but I don't really like the idea of wearing all white, just seeing it on others. And I would love to see this paired with Koneko's Mermaid Hair.

Also, I hung out with Jamie on Thursday (5/2/13)! And she gave me a gift! I was so happy when I received it. I've always tried to send out letters to pen pals in the past. And I wasn't successful (or a lil lazy). So the fact that I received a pen pal type gift made me so happy. And the best thing about it is that Jamie knows me so well... I'll upload a lil haul video when youtube stops being a bitch.

Also, I was watching Mark Wahlberg on Jimmy Kimmel, and I think he looks my husband...

I'm mainly saving these here because I know my hubby will want the information in the interview. Mark talks about how he had to manipulate his weight for a few movies he filmed this year. Ironically enough it's what my husband has been doing, but I guess he needed that confirmation.

I'm happy to share with you more news. First of all.... TA DOW!

Behold the WIP Cover art for "The Gyaru Blogger" What you see here is the hime gal version of my character in my header. She's in her room, relaxed and blogging. Saiharii has done beautifully with the finished product.

I'm just so excited, this is really happening! I will publish and sell a book I wrote. That I thought of myself, by myself, and didn't have some buddy with me along the way.

I wrote this book in a month, and now I'll be able to sell it within 4 months later. I paid for all the artwork, I paid for the publishing. And This will be another fantastic accomplishment I made being a Gyaru.

「016」Mobile Friendships are scary

I have decided to design the mobile version of my site. I've already gotten the pretty part out of the way. But I don't know which would be better. I wanted to simply have the header, an embedded video, and my social media buttons. I designed it with the iPhone and iPad in mind:

So what do you think? I like A because it's my branding from back to front. B is more minimal of course. No busy background and you can simply focus on the content.

Also, I'm planning on re-adding an old element to my blog I believe was a unique element to my blog. I know you will all be happy when it comes back. It saves times and shows what magazines i like.

You know, I've often thought about Friendship. Friends are people outside of family that you like to spend time with, feel safe with, and they support you (and have the balls to make sure you don't do stupid shit).

Over the past 5 years I've experienced interesting encounters and online friendships. I've met my husband, had a baby and I've settled into a lifestyle that can only get better. It obvious that I've regretted one attempted friendship, but as I sit here, gazing at this screen, I wonder what exactly do I have?

In life we are often taught to recognize the losses, to prepare for the worst. They were wrong, these people. We are supposed to look at what we have left. Appreciate what's real and right in front of us.

I have a wonderful husband with two beautiful children. He and I get along so well. Now many people can say that about their spouses. I just know that, if i was born a man, I'd be my hubby.

I have acquaintances around the world that teach me more about myself than I could imagine. I have Jamie. She understands me on a level that no one, outside of my husband, ever will.

First things first! Today's makeup:

This time I used actual lower lashes. I'm not sure if you can see them, but I'm happy. I also changed up my top lash routine. It's a combo of Diamond Lash Glamorous Eye with a pair of accent lashes (Similar to Koakuma eye) from the Daiso section of Oto's.

Next, I was supposed to be apart of a live stream party with Shawnee, celebrate her 5000th subbie on youtube. But, some weird shit happened and I could join the hangout. Which greatly upset me. I was literally at tears over the whole situation. I've been waiting a long time, and really looked forward to my first live stream party. But in the end I couldn't get on, and I just finished up Assassin's Creed revelations instead.

So I hung out the today with my friend Jamie.

It's kind of surreal because it was our second time going into Oto's Market. And because I'm nostalgic I took pictures and did a similar pose of later comparison.

I didn't get a chance to take photos of my makeup before leaving my flat, so you have me here taking to take a photo in natural sunlight. I'm pretty happy with how my makeup turned out. I was trying something different. and Since it worked pretty well, I'm going to refine it with smaller lower lashes.

Does anyone remember when i took a photo similar to this? I think I've lost a lot of weight since then lol.

And now for the insight. I've been on a personal journey to get rid of the fears I have that are holding me back from my successes. I've tried to seek out help, or team up with someone in order to reach my journey's end with someone. I realize now that not a good idea. I'm stubborn and I have to figure out things for myself.

But I had so many questions. and "look in the book, its there" wasn't a good enough answer for me. Then I received an email from The Daily Love and it held this:

THAT answered my questions. I hated the idea of having to devoid myself of most emotions. Because i felt like a failure when I would yell at my kids, or get irritated over my family. I was getting depressed because I was being depressed. But now I know what I need to do, and that emotions are okay.

⌊012⌉ Finding relief in being the villain

I'm writing the piece for the Villain in the Wonderland Project. I saved the below passage for my inspiration. It's very moving to be because sometimes I can relate to it.

“A villain must be a thing of power, handled with delicacy and grace. He must be wicked enough to excite our aversion, strong enough to arouse our fear, human enough to awaken some transient gleam of sympathy. We must triumph in his downfall, yet not barbarously nor with contempt, and the close of his career must be in harmony with all its previous development.” - Repplier, Agnes

I find writing for her a bit difficult, because you don't realize that's she's a villain until the very end of the story. (no I'm not giving anything away, just discussing it in a manner to pique interest). I don't have any control over the character design, only able to give a jist of what I want Saiharii to convey, so it's interesting trying to create the ultimate Gal Evil (with is a mix between Lawful and Chaotic Evil) and wrap it in a pretty coating with a plain bow. It's like eating a cookie so rich and flavorful, you'll have diabetes before you finish the last crumb.

Likewise, I must give this villain the hero's garb. So I'm looking at this quote for reference:

So, after posting for about 10 days in a row i disappear. Well, I can definitely attest to Shark Week. Which is weird because at one point I thought I was pregnant. Which is something I don't want.

Don't get me wrong I love children, but I have two already and that's enough. I've seen a lot of women in my area lose their common sense after having that third child.I don't want to be that person. And besides, I haven't even gotten my daughter's bed out of my room, I'm sure as hell not going to add another bed.

Any ways, I'm not preggo and it's a relief.

Next, I should tell you about the Buddha statue we just got... If you've been following this blog, you'll know that I have a marble statue of an elephant. But i don't think there's been pictures of it. So I might as well include a photo of both.

This is a photo of the Elephant Big Buddha, and the medium Buddha shrine I have.

And this is the Coat rack transformed into another little shrine. But I think I need to add a piece of cloth under Quan Kun. Just to give it a strong foundation (can you tell I'm into feng shui?).

Also, for an Update on the Wonderland Project Manga, the script for the First chapter has been finalized! It's time for me to write the second chapter and plan the third. There's no Concept Art so far. But I'm sure I can share a couple of pieces when there are some. If Sai Allows Its.

And finally, about the Gyaru Blogger Book I have an outline to do, and I'm waiting for for Artwork to be completed. I need a Better name honestly. Maybe I can hold a contest for it. I need you advice on it.

OMG Did you see that mirror in the background?! I check out the site she bought it at and I was like... $400? FUCK NO! So I found a couple of videos on YouTube for DIY:

She used

Side bar lights $14x2 at Lowes,
20x24 Borderless mirror at Lowes 20$,
60w Daylight bulbsx3 packs 14$ per pack at Lowes,
extension cord x2 $5 each at lowes,
power strip 6$ at Lowes.

Total build time: 1 hour. (maybe less if I can get the hubby to help me)
Now I want that light bar at the top, so it's going to be an extra couple of packs of light bulbs and another side bar light

So now that the notion is in my head, I'll all set on creating a space in my home for my makeup and vlogging.

Here's the before that i'm working with:

It's the view you see when walking into mine and the hubs bedroom: mess and the crib (did you see Coco?). I want to make that into my vanity space.

So this post is dedicated to the findings of my research for DIY vanities.

For the table, I want to pick up a Malm dressing table from Ikea. Like in this video:

I'm not fond of how she did that string. I would just put a lace trim around the edge. But I like the bowl as it is. without stickers and the like.

DIY Softbox lighting:
-Clamp light from hardware store (Home Depot) ~$3 ea
-Daylight 30 watt lightbulb and the quantity depends how big is your filming space. ~$4 ea
-Parchment paper from grocery store and cut them to fit the funnel. Layer two to three layers of paper to diffuse the lighting. ~$3 ea
-Medium metal binder clips at any place that sells office supplies. ~$4 per box of 4-6 clips
-Hang it using the three point lighting method (YouTube it) and you have great lighting!

The acrylic is very high quality, and the same use in aquarium walls. Just a fun FYI fact I read on their website. I was completely sold after I saw Lisa's review on it.

This is one of those videos that's really captured my attention. Because Goss is where I learned 95% of my makeup skills from, he made me this after watching this video...

Here's my thought process:

If I want to stand out and look different, I need to do the opposite of what's popular.

What is popular in gyaru right now?

Kuronba and Agejou. I would have thrown in Hime, but it's like a blend of Agejou and Lolita to me right now.

So 96gal and Agejou is what's popular. the means the heavily defined face, larger than life eyes, and the red/nude/pink lip.

So the opposite would be

Using your natural eye shape instead of an over exaggeration.
working with a more natural contour. Not just a stark racing stripe motif.
using your own natural lip color, via a balm or MAC's clear lip glass.

So I'm thinking this look will do it:

It works with my natural eye shape. And the contouring is subtle. Lately I feel that I only need to add highlight to my skin and only a little contour under my cheeks and second chin.

The hair is varied right now. But the common is definitely wigs and extensions. I won't do the opposite of that because I'm not planning on looking like my mother in gal make. When I finally get off my ass and make my wig, I'm going to wear it into the shop and get the bangs cut like this:

I know that I need to move outside of using mainly MAC products. only the eye shadows are really keeping me there.

I liked the brands Cover FX, Kat Von D and Illamasqua. They are really appealing and I'm definitely leaning towards walking past that MAC store and straight into Sephora.

Hello all! Today's post is going to be a little different. It's going to take on a Live Blogging theme today. Which means, I'll be adding content constantly throughout the day. It will all be under a cut. But don't worry, I will tweet when the post has updated.

Shawnee and I will be starting a 40 day guide to changing how we interpret the world around us, banishing fear, and emitting more love. We are using the book May Cause Miracles by Gabrielle Bernstein. I have the Kindle edition and I believe Shawnee has the physical book.

Now, when you read this post its going to look strange, because I'm writing it in an RPG/Novel format. I've got RPGs (especially HabitRPG) on the brain and I just wanted to slip away to an imaginary world of conquest and intrigued. So that's how I will be writing any of the entries related to the current quest. Today is the prep day, so what better way than to add the Introduction? lol this is going to be so much fun.

So let's begin shall we?

Search for Gabrielle's Miracle

There is a time in a boy's life were he must become a man, and find his place in the world. Often than not, the path he takes delivers him through trials of vices and evils. And then, if he finally returns home, his kinsman determine whether he walks the path of the hero...or villain.

I just don't see things that way. Who else to judge your fate than yourself?

And this is where my story begins...

Rumors drifted into my village of a miracle. And not just any miracle... It was like a genie. If you were able to reach the top and answer the secret question, you could have all your hearts desire.

At first I ignored it. I didn't want to seem eager over something that may not exist...

I saw many people of my village head off to find this miracle. They wanted fame, fortune, and even items that did not exist on this realm of consciousness. Many left, but none returned. Eventually we heard that they failed the quest in one way or another. It seemed that they abandoned themselves, and our home.

Soon, I too had dreams that extended beyond my home and normal way of life. And I took many adventures and quests. And I was considered a local hero. But that miracle still lingered beyond the horizon.

One day, I decided to take the journey. More and more of the rumors had trickled in. This time, they mentioned a name, Shawnee. Which is quite strange, because I've met her before. She helped me along with my Gyaru quest. I knew it was time to pay her a visit in the golden city.

After a day of traveling, I finally stumbled upon the little theater group Shawnee often traveled with. I came with an offering of fruit and a few loaves of bread. Usually they do not like outsiders intruding upon their nomadic lifestyle, but I took the time to learn their ways. And with that I was inducted to their troop as a protégée.

Shawnee was visiting the book shop. I slipped in and offered greetings. When she acquired about my presence, I had mentioned Gabrielle's miracle. Oddly enough, she handed me this book.

"She is amazing," Shawnee started, "I'm going to start the quest soon." She was looking for a journal, eyeing a sequined leather back. As she turned the item over, this way and that, it reminded me of the scales of a rainbow trout. The sparkle became hypnotizing. She seemed to be satisfied with it, since Shawnee tucked it under her shoulder. She then became entranced with an assortment of quills.

"Then why not start together?" I asked. Shawnee knew that i was not the type to wonder far from home without an escort. I felt that in some cases I was too fragile for adventure. But maybe this miracle could help me accomplish my other conquests?

"Why not? Just pick yourself up a journal and pen."

Ironically enough, I had already packed my rather large, leather journal. It had seen all of my journeys. Contained all of my thoughts and secrets. I've always kept it close. When hidden, it's actually a pillow. So It's usually under my butt or my head. Very weird, very clever.

And the quill, *chuckles* an reward for crafting an enviable bolt of silk for a cousin in a neighboring duchy. It needed no ink, just simply write and the words appear. It's as if they flow from your mind, down your chest and into your arm, and finally creeping through the fingertips onto the page. A rare item indeed.

"We are bards, Shiro, what would be the need? Our profession usually requires us to store our memories here," I moved a lock of hair behind my ear, and softly tapped my right temple. "What's special about this quest to make us change our ways?"

"Exactly!" She started, "we are changing our ways. Everything that ever was, or could be, will change. And it won't start at the end of our journey, but now at the start."

"What?!" How can such change happen so drastically, so sudden? My heartbeat quicken, as a slight panic tried to settle in. Shawnee noticed my inner turmoil from the confused look on my face. A soft sigh escaped her throat.

"Why do you think so many have failed? Because they couldn't handle the change from the beginning. Read the book, Chaudie. See what you must endure. If you cannot handle it, go home. Stay in whatever life you think you're comfortable in. You're universe could, no will, break; if you were to follow me. If you choose to come, meet me at the camp by sunset. We will leave at sunrise."

And with that she purchases her items and left.

I'm standing there completely confused. What is this change? Will it kill, and then revive me? Will my family suffer? Were we about to walk into another dimension? I look down at the book in my hand. It simply had what appeared to be a blond haired saint on the cover. The spine read "May cause miracles."
