After more than a year, I finally want to share some images. They are about a moment of transformation, when the ordinary becomes magical. You are going somewhere and suddenly you see something colourful and strange and you stop in your tracks. If you are lucky and you have a camera with you, sometimes you manage to get an image of that fleeting moment. The images are from Delhi (India), Bologna (Italy) and Guwahati (India).

आज एक वर्ष के बाद फ़िर से तस्वीरें बाँटने का मन किया. इन तस्वीरों का विषय है वह क्षण जब अचानक समय बदल जाता है, सामान्य से जादुवी बन जाता है. आप कहीं जा रहे हैं और अचानक कुछ अजीब सा दिखता है, रँगबिरंगा सा और आप राह चलते चलते ठिठक जाते हैं. कभी कभी अगर भाग्य अच्छा हो और आप के पास कैमरा हो तो उस जादुवी क्षण की तस्वीर भी खींच लेते हैं. यह तस्वीरें है दिल्ली (भारत), बोलोनिया (इटली) तथा गुवाहाटी (भारत) से.

Dopo più di un anno, finalmente ho sentito il bisogno di condividere qualche immagine. Queste foto riguardano un momento di trasformazione, quando l'ordinario diventa magico. Stai andando da qualche parte e all'improvviso, vedi qualcosa di colorato e strano che ti fa fermare. Se sei fortunato e hai una macchina fotografica con te, qualche volta riesci ad avere un'immagine di quel momento fuggente. Le immagini sono da Delhi (India), Bologna (Italia) e Guwahati (India).

Guwahati, Assam, India: Today's subject has those threads of affection that bind families, siblings and friends. When these threads break or tie up in knots, we feel the most hurt.

I have decided to stop updating this blog. It was started in 2005. It has around 2000 posts and lots of pictures. It has introduced me to some good friends and given me creative satisfaction. For all these years, selecting the pictures for this blog has been the first thing I have done after waking up. However, I no longer enjoy selecting the pictures. That is why I am suspending it. Thanks to all the readers and appreciators.

गुवाहाटी, असम, भारतः आज की तस्वीरों का विषय वह मोह के धागे हैं जो परिवारों को, भाई बहनों को, मित्रों को, बाँधते हैं. इन धागों की गाँठें हीं दिल में सबसे गहरी चुभती हैं.

मैंने इस ब्लाग से छुट्टी लेने की सोची है. यह ब्लाग 2005 में शुरु किया था, इसमें करीब 2000 पोस्ट और बहुत सी तस्वीरे हैं. इसके माध्यम से मुझे कुछ मित्र भी मिले हैं, और कलात्मक संतुष्टी भी. इन सालों में सुबह सुबह उठ कर मेरे दिन इसके लिए तस्वीरें चुनने से शुरु होते रहे हैं. पर आजकल तस्वीरें चुनने का मन नहीं करता. इसलिए ले रहाँ हूँ छुट्टी. ब्लाग के पाठकों-प्रशंसकों को धन्यवाद.

Ho deciso di non aggiornare più questo blog. L'avevo iniziato nel 2005 e in questi tredici anni, ho scritto 2000 post e ha tante foto. Tramite questo blog ho trovato alcuni buoni amici e mi ha dato soddisfazione creativa. In tutti questi anni, spesso le mie mattine hanno iniziato con la selezione delle foto da inserire nel blog. Ma ultimamente la scelta delle foto non mi dà il piacere come prima. Per questo ho deciso la sospensione. Un grazie a tutti i lettori e apprezzatori!

Today air travel has become common. Often people have to spend hours in the airports. If airports are beautiful places, they are not just a way to reach the destination, but become part of the journey's enjoyment. आजकल हवाई जहाज़ से यात्रा करना आम बात हो गयी है और अक्सर लोग हवाई अड्डों पर घँटों बिताते हैं. अगर हवाई अड्डा सुन्दर जगह हो तो वह यात्रा का माध्यम ही नहीं, यात्रा के आनन्द का हिस्सा बन जाता है. आज की तस्वीरों में एशिया के तीन देशों से हवाई अड्डों में प्रदर्शित कला - बैन्काक, दिल्ली तथा बेजिन्ग से.

Oggi giorno tutti viaggiano con l'aereo. Spesso le persone sono costrette a passare delle ore negli aeroporti. Se gli aeroporti sono dei luoghi belli e piacevoli, non sono soltanto dei mezzi per arrivare alla destinazione, ma diventano parte della gioia del viaggio. Thus, when I had first seen the statue outside the windows, on the first floor of a house behind the Cathedral, I had started calling it the "the Greek boy". I tried to find out about this statue but was unsuccessful. Today's images have that Greek boy.

विचेन्ज़ा, इटलीः प्राचीन ग्रीस की कला में अक्सर खेलते हुए नग्न नवयुवक दिखते हैं. इसलिए जब मैंने पहली बार विचेन्ज़ा में केथेड्रल के पीछे एक भवन पर पहली मँज़िल की खिड़की के बाहर लगी मूर्ति को देखा तो मेरे लिए उसका नाम "यवनी युवक" हो गया. बहुत खोज की पर इस मूर्ति के बारे में कुछ जान नहीं पाया. आज की तस्वीरों में वही यवनी युवक है.

Vicenza, Italia: L'arte antica della Grecia ha spesso dei giovani sportivi nudi. Per questo motivo, quando avevo visto la statua fuori dalla finestra al primo piano di una casa dietro la cattedrale, avevo cominciato a chiamarla "il ragazzo greco". Ho cercato a scoprire informazioni su questa statua ma senza successo. Le immagini di oggi hanno quel ragazzo greco.
