Around this time there are less sales of bikes generally, but paradoxically (though not unexpectedly, if you think about it), the number of cheap, second-hand bikes on the market increases. This is because people are offloading this year’s model before it becomes last year’s - and because of the relatively low demand, this time of year (November-December) is probably the BEST time of year to grab a cheap bike from eBay!
So check out our many cheap bike categories from the left-hand menu - for example, cheap Cannondale mountain bikes, cheap Giant mountain bikes, cheap Campagnolo road bikes, as well as various cheap bikes parts.
I am definitely looking at replacing my long-suffering Scott this winter - hope I can save enough pennies before all the cheap bikes are gone and the new season rolls around. It’ll be here before we know it..!
]]>Never bought bike stuff (or anything) through eBay before? Now’s the time to start. It’s simple:
1) Read about buying through eBay if you’re not sure - it’s actually simple and fun!
2) Register on eBay if you are not already - you can do that on the same page, or once you’ve clicked on an item you fancy bidding on.
3) Browse our cheap bike categories, there are lots and lots in the menu on the left! They are sorted by brand, type and all kinds of other criteria, so you should be able to find what you’re looking for! Remember, US-based items are on the left and UK on the right-hand side of the page - probably it is better to buy from your nearest eBay, the postage could get quite expensive otherwise!
So what are you looking for?
A cheap Cannondale mountain bike?
Or perhaps a cheap Specialized road bike?
Or maybe you are just after a bargain Shimano XTR rear derailleur!
4) When you’ve found something you like, just click anywhere on the item. You will be taken to an eBay page telling you what to do next. Don’t worry - you will know exactly when you are being charged, and clicking on items on our site won’t cost you anything so browse away! Once you’ve been taken to eBay you will be told how to bid on the item, or possibly to buy it now for a fixed price. Either way, if the price is right, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to put in a winning offer. After all, you want it most, right!

Just to tell you about this site - Cheap Bikes. It’s a spin-off of my MTB-Serbia mountain-biking site and functions as a little store providing listings of bargain mountain bikes, road bikes, bike accessories and bike parts available through eBay.
As you can see, there is a menu on the left where you can choose the category you are interested in. I have tried to keep these divided logically into types of bike product and bike manufacturers, but the best thing to do is go hunting, you never know with eBay - something can always sneak in. For example, try Downhill mountain bikes or Road bikes, or head straight for specific manufacturers: Cannondale mountain bikes, Specialized road bikes etc.
eBay is a great way to find bike stuff and there is always loads on offer, so sign up for eBay (costs you nothing) and start bargain-hunting!
