The current prototype has a range of 30 miles and definitely has a race bike look and feel. That's all well and good but wait, this electric scooter is about to do a bit of a transformation. Kick it out of "motorcycle mode", tuck the front wheel between the two in back and the UNO can balance on two wheels! It transforms into a Seagway!

Ride to work then tranform and ride the rest of the way to your desk. With gyroscope technology, the UNO can hold it's own and allow easy transportation thru pedestrian areas with a compact, 3 foot turning radius.

A prototype of the Uno III, the latest invention from BPG Motors, will be on display at the Consumer Electronics Show, its first public showing. It's aimed at urban dwellers, most likely in Europe, where there is a strong culture around motorcycles and scooters, said BPG Motors CEO Brad Harkavy.

It may be a while before Cheap Electric Scooters Online starts carrying the UNO but we will definately let you know when it comes in ;)

Look for the electric scooter or electric bicycle that works for you at CheapElectricScootersOnline.com
Who is Cheap Electric Scooters Online?

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; Cheap Electric Scooters Online was started by two friends, both named Brian. The same name can make things difficult at times but customers can always get it right ;)

Both Brian's decided it was time to start a business, but not just any business would do. It was important that the business considered the economic difficulties of customers. It was also important that the business responded to a need. And as all businesses should understand, a sensitivity to the environment must be considered.

Cheap Electric Scooters Online was born out of these basic ideas. The electric bicycles and scooters found in this retail store not only consider the purchase price, but save customers money throughout the life of the vehicle. It costs only pennies to charge an electric scooter and get where you need to go. Customers will continue to save money year after year because NO INSURANCE and NO DMV REGISTRATION required for these vehicles.

Regardless of the economy, people need transportation. Cheap Electric Scooters Online responds to this need with compact vehicles that offer incredible value AND the sense of participation in planet protection. When a bicycle or scooter can take the place of a car, you make a world of difference!

The business itself is also aware of how efficiencies can save money and the environment. The systems used by Cheap Electric Scooters Online make it possible to send product directly from the manufacturer to the customer. This eliminates a step in transportation, saves time and money which benefits everyone involved. Yes, it's a business decision to minimize overhead and it is also a business decision to pass those savings on to our customers.

Low Prices & High Quality = Happy Customers.
Happy Customers = a Future for Cheap Electric Scooters This article below explains everything you need to know:
http://www.cheapelectricscootersonline.com/save_money_dmv_secrets

But if you're like me, you want the quick version. Here it is...

The DMV regulates motor vehicles but doesn't have rules for "electric bicycles". When you purchase a scooter with pedals (even if the pedals are not installed), that goes a maximum of 20mph, you don't have to spend any money on insurance, getting a license or registering your vehicle with the DMV office. Every year you save that amount of money which can become several hundred dollars when you add it all up.

The article goes on to show how electric scooters are great for RVers to bring with them on trips rather than a car or motorcycle. It also mentions the cost savings as well as physical benefits of electric scooters for those who ride to work.

Check it out at CheapElectricScootersOnline.com

Little Scooter, Big Fun!

I really don't understand why anyone would say any of the X-140, little cheap electric scooters are just for kids. Sure they are small, sure they max out at 7 mph when I'm on them, and yes they come in pink but pink isn't just a kids color and speed isn't everything. If you're looking for a pair of cheap electric scooters with solid steel construction and an option in pink, the X-140 is a good choice for any age rider. Just give yourself a tight track and 7 mph feels like race car driver speed!

Now, if you're really looking to get yourself around town I will obviously suggest more appropriate cheap electric scooters of remarkably high quality. It can be fun taking an X-140 around the pool but when you need to get to the store and back with a few groceries, there are plenty of scooters to choose from at www.cheapelectricscootersonline.com

Washington Monument

500+ feet up in the air in a stone stucture that is completely self-supported, I got an excellent view of our nation's capitol. Take a look at this picture I took and what do you see? I see a lot of space between each of the monuments which means a lot of walking for me!

Though it did cross my mind, I failed to bring my electric motor scooter which meant I was walking. And yes, we walked all over.

I saw so many runners all over the city. There were also quite a few bikers riding for fun and for work. A courier job may be a lot of work in a big city but imagine the exercise you get. Well, for the rest of us a nice, cheap electric scooters make for a much more pleasant afternoon.

I'm wrapping up my trip to Washington DC and have had a wonderful time. After just a few days exploring the city I can see the appeal. I can't say much for the political personalities in the city but the regular people, my people, were very friendly and happy to help me find my way. Washington DC is a trip I'd highly recommend, just let me know before you go so I can get an electric motor scooter in your hand to make your visit spectacular!

United States Capitol

Today we visited the US Capitol. Our guide had plenty of stories to tell about every painting and statue we saw. The inside of the dome was painted by a guy (I'm terrible with names) who was working on the 8th of 16 scenes. He was high up in the dome sitting on a chair supported by scaffolding. He took a break and leaned back to look at what he had painted when the chair slipped and fell. He grabbed a rail with one hand and held on for over 15 minutes!

There was one other guy who happened to be working at the top of the dome at the time and heard the painter fall. From the top of the dome this other worker was not able to get to the painter to help but did get the attention of a security guard who had to go find a huge ladder to help get the painter down. After that experience the painter handed painting duties off to one of his apprentices who finished the ring of paintings at the base of the dome.

And now I'm off to learn more about this great country that is allowing me the opportunity to provide high quality, cheap electric scooters to the people!

Cheap Electric Scooters Online...out!
Vietnam Memorial

It's time to bring a post to a bit more of a serious note. My Washington DC visit took me to the Vietnam War Memorial where I learned about SP4 Patrick Dean Rosen from a framed story left at the wall. The story read...

"Pat's nickname in the 1st Battalion was "Match Wayne", because he was very good with his rifle and someone thought he was like another "John Wayne". The real John Wayne heard about "Match Wayne" (Pat), while on a USO trip to Nam and asked to meet Pat. Unfortunately, Pat was not able to keep his date with "The Duke". John Wayne wrote a moving personal letter to his Mother regarding "Match Wayne" and she has it framed in her house along with Pat's US Army photo and medals. Pat was 19 years old."

At Cheap Electric Scooters Online we're just a little business trying to do everything we can for our customers. Pat gave his life (at only 19 years old) fighting for our country. Regardless of your personal opinion of the war, our soldiers deserve our respect and admiration.

To all our troops fighting around the world to preserve our freedoms at home, we solute you!!

Graduation

That's about all I can say...I went to graduation at Georgetown University! Are you seeing this picture!?!

I'm still waking up (it's 5am California time) but enjoying the sunny morning! As the cerimonies wrap up we are going to explore the campus a bit. Most every posting I am suppose to talk about our cheap electric scooters but today I think I'm going to just walk this campus. That's not to say I wouldn't absolutely love one of our electric motor scooters right now but it is nice to just walk around from time to time. Let's see if I regret that decision at the end of the day ;)

More to come!

CESO Goes To Washington DC!

Wow! Gas and electric radio cars are available, with some designed to be off-road, on road, and hybrid (both on and off-road). "Gas" powered cars usually use gasoline though the benefits of nitromethanol (a mixture of methanol and nitromethane) are now making it a premier option. Electric units do not need to be refueled but removal of the body shell and battery fasteners are necessary to replace a discharged battery. Modifying radio-controlled cars are popular with kids of all ages, usually swapping engines, body shells and tires. Radio cars can be purchased as cheaply as $20.00 and increase into the thousands.

Electric Scooters
Friendly to girls and boys, electric motor scooters are offering the benefits of their gas counterparts in a more noise and environmentally friendly package. Starting at prices less than a hundred dollars, cheap electric scooters are available online and in retail stores. One charge will allow you hours of riding fun and a simple “plug into the wall” charging system. Like their gas cousins, kids electric scooters are available with fundamentals, brakes and throttle control. Many parents prefer their child stay far away from flammable risks and electric scooters offer the fun of gas scooters without the hazard.

Fun Guns
Indoor safe play and reloading fun over and over again is what Nerf guns are all about. Nerf makes products from footballs to guns that guarantee hours of family and friend playtime. Blasters that can shoot a volley of foam darts within seconds to large squishy foam missiles add to the mix. Water guns in the spring and summer have been a longtime favorite and show no signs of slowing. Like the foam guns they offer a myriad of gun sizes to large water blasters to smaller pistols. The benefit to both water and foam guns are their affordable pricing, ranging from a couple of dollars to less than a hundred.

Dolls
Barbie has been the namesake of the doll world for countless decades. With its popularity comes a flood of rivals including 2009 Toy of the Year Award, Best Friend Clubs dolls. It is not just the dolls themselves but the plethora of accessories that accompany each doll (fashionable outfits, games, and journals). The leader in this pack is undoubtedly Barbie that offers much more than their doll lineup. Barbie bedroom, games, and virtual world are just some of this manufacturer’s offerings. Other manufacturers like American Girl, Manhattan Toy will all be contending against Barbie for this year’s Toy of the Year Award.

Board Games
Some of the best entertainment for friends and family are board games. There are literally too many to mention in this paragraph but the classic games, often “modernized”, are still holding their own. It seems every blockbuster movie comes with its own board game, but those come a dime a dozen. Excellent two player games, like Battleship is a fun classic that has been revitalized for the millennium. For full fledged family fun the ten classic games listed here are sure winners for you and the family: Scrabble, Sorry, Twister, Yahtzee, Clue, Pictionary, Boggle, Monopoly, Candy Land and Connect Four.

Cheap Electric Scooters Online Goes To Tahoe

A few of the Cheap Electric Scooters Online crew made the trip to Lake Tahoe. The snow fall has been light and a whole lot of fun to play in all weekend. We've been lucky that the days have been beautiful!

While we've been exploring I ran into the snowboard scooter. This thing is great! I can't say that we'll be carrying it at www.cheapelectricscootersonline.com anytime soon but I'd recommend trying one, especially if you enjoy any of our electric motor scooters.

Scooters Yesterday & Today

Remember the movie Back to the Future? McFly is running away from Biff, grabs a kid's wooden scooter, breaks the top half off and rides away on the skateboard that's left. That was a quality action sequence!

I still think that was a pretty good little design. The scooter was stable, environmentally friendly wood construction, and there was plenty of wall space for stickers. The thing could even double as rolling luggage!

Today's electric scooters are lightyears beyond that movie screen scooter. Though some smaller electric motor scooters may share wheel sizes with rolling luggage, that's about as far as the similarities will go. The high tension steel frames provide a sturdy form and not even Mr. McFly could break them. The range of electric motors can get just about anyone up to speed and out of Biff's reach.

Point is...the electric scooter has come a long way!

Check 'em out at www.cheapelectricscootersonline.com

Rain, Rain, Go Away

The rain is wonderful and much needed for all our farmer friends but it really gets in the way of my bike rides! If you're suited up correctly, rain won't even stop you from getting on your bike but for most of us, riding in the rain doesn't really seem like an option. Speaking as someone who has done it once, it's a lot of fun!

Back in college it was pouring one day but I had to get home. Before I was able to unlock the chain, I was soaked. My rush to get home drizzled away as I accepted the idea that I couldn't possibly get any more wet. Got on my bike and started peddling. As I went faster the huge rain drops hit me harder and faster. On each down hill I picked up more speed and pretty soon those rain drops were like a Shiatzu massage. The shots to the eyes kind of hurt but that sting goes away.

I emphasize enough how dumb that was and how careful you should be if you need to ride your bike in the rain. But...if you have the opportunity to jump on a bike on a rainy day on a bike path that is dedicated to only bikes and there are no cars allowed and your breaks and tire treads are good and you have all of your protective gear on, including a helmet with the chin strap securely buckled...get out and get wet ;)

Kick Scooter versus Electric Scooter - Safety

You are searching avidly online for either a kick scooter for your child. During your search you keep running across powered scooters but you're questioning the safety of an electric scooter. Let me make this clear - less speed does not equal a safer ride. Ask any parent with a child that rides a skateboard; jumps, grabs, flips and rail riding (a.k.a. "grinding") are just a few risky skateboarding maneuvers exercised on a board no quicker than a kick scooter.

In contrast, an electric scooter can actually be safer due to its construction. This is not to say that "electric scooters are safer than kick scooters" but the bulk of electric scooters liimits certain tricks. For instance, jumps, grinds and flips are dramatically (if not completely) limited due to the weight of the electric motor and batteries. Take for example, the X-Treme X-140 that is restriced to 10 mph but noticably slower with a load and terrain. It weighs nearly 20 lbs and and at full throttle is equivalent to a light jog. The average weight of a six year old child ranges beween 35-40 lbs, meaning that an electric scooter weighs about half the child's weight. The beginner's electric scooters, such as the X-140, offer a safe speed at which kids can have fun. The important safety measures to remember is wearing protective gear, such as helmets and pads, that will protect your child no matter what they ride.

Fun Activities for Kids - Electric Scooters

For kids nothing delivers like fun, and powered scooters epitomize fun. What is all the hype about electric scooters and are they really what they are cracked up to be? The simple answer is yes and here are the reasons:

Ease of Use – The electric motor allows kids to keep up with adults and their older siblings. They have the choice to either use their foot or the motor for propulsion. These scooters also collapse which makes storing them a breeze.

Freedom - Kids like feeling in control and free from parental restraint. While the electric scooter will provide that freedom, adults will have no problem keeping up with their kids. Electric scooters maximum speed ranges between 10-15 mph without accounting for the load and terrain. Usually you can expect speeds around 5-10 miles per hour.

Durability – Electric scooters are reinforced by durable steel frame and an aluminum deck in order to protect the batteries and motor. The manufacturers are also aware that electric scooters need to take serious abuse and have constructed them to do so.

Modifications – Kids love modifying toys it gives them a sense of ownership, it is theirs and no one else’s. Scooters can be customized in many different ways including changing the wheels, upgrading the batteries, and sometimes the motor. Kids also spray paint their scooter, place stickers on them, and increase foothold with grip tape.

Range – Electric scooters offer miles of battery life and can be increased with a battery swap. Extending battery life is simply achieved through foot power and less throttle.

Safe – Electric scooters do not require gas which means that your child will not have to deal with unsafe petroleum.

Reliability – As mentioned, the steel frame is very rigid and all electric scooters are backed by a manufacturer warranty. An excellent electric scooter for kids is the X-Treme X-140 which offers the mentioned attributes as well as a warranty.

Consider the fun of joining your kids on their next ride. Some of us larger kids may want to consider the larger X-Treme X-600 which offers a seat and enough power to get up those inclines. The memories you make today with your young kids will last much longer than you'll ever know.

Ride hard!

Why Buy a 3 Wheel Scooter?

I make it a frequent habit to browse forums, blogs, YouTube, etc. in search of innovative transportation and technology. It is not until recently that I noticed the plethora of discussions regarding 3 wheel scooters. Most commonly known as the "mobility scooter", these vehicles normally cater to the handicapped or elderly population.

While the 3 wheel scooter maybe geared towards an older population, that does not mean it lacks performance by any means. Let us take for example your normal two wheel scooter that your kids ride. The two wheel scooters usually weigh around 35-70 lbs compared to the mobility scooter's beefy 250 lbs. However, the max speeds are nearly identical at 15 mph. That's right, little Joey's two wheel scooter is just as fast as grandma's mobility scooter.

Not to worry, it gets worse. The mobility scooter offers better stabilization (sit down with 3 wheels), much more cargo space, longer range, and in most cases an extended warranty. Considering its purpose, the mobility scooters are designed to be as slim as possible in order to squeeze into doorways.

There is one more benefit that is often overlooked, versatility. Ride your two wheel scooter in a mall or grocery store and see how long it takes until security catches you. On a 3 wheel scooter, no one will look twice. The general population has not only accepted the presence of mobility scooters in buildings but encourage the practice.

So you are considering a 3 wheel scooter for whatever purpose, what is a promising choice?

The X-Treme XB-420M is easily one of the quickest mobility scooters on the market. Compared to its two wheeled cousin, it is not only equal in speed but offers many more luxuries. One of these luxuries is its immerse range (30 miles on one charge) thanks to its lithium batteries. That is an impressive figure considering its weight plus cargo.

X-Treme X-250 vs Razor Scooter E300S/E325S

It is difficult to miss Razor while shopping for your next electric motor scooter. There is no doubt that this goliath of the scooter industry manufactures great products. However, another less visible manufacturer has proven themselves a worthy adversary, X-Treme Scooters. Browse a few scooter websites and you will see what I am talking about. Truth be known, X-Treme has been producing scooters for nearly as long as Razor (X-Treme in May, 2001 and Razor in 2000). So how does our David (X-Treme) stack up against the favored and larger Goliath? Let's take a look:

We have compiled a list of important specifications when considering your electrical scooter. This week we are comparing the Razor E300S/E325S and the X-Treme X-250 which both offer similar advantages.
<table border="0" style="border-bottom: medium none; Let’s take a look:

MSRP – This is the manufacturers standard pricing. Usually you’ll be paying less and should pay no more than the MSRP.

Weight Limit – How much weight can you place on the scooter without stressing the vehicle? If you’re too many burritos heavier than the listed capacity, expect some deficiencies in your ride.

Motor – Determines power. The higher this figure the more speed it can produce (though other factors like weight will affect your speed.)

Battery Charge Time – How long it will take to charge your scooter.

Usage Before Charge – How long can you ride before you need to recharge.

Product Weight – How heavy the individual scooter weighs. If you have kids or will have to carry you scooter you may desire a less weighty option.

Top Speed – The speed at which the scooter has the ability to go under its own power. This is highly variable, depending on weight, terrain and whether or not the wind is in your favor.

Removable Seat – If you prefer to sit, it’s a nice option especially if it’s removable.

Foldable – The foldable option is appreciated for storage especially by students when stuffing their scooter along classroom walls.

Warranty – Usually normal wear is not covered under the base warranty (tires, tears, tubes). However, each manufacturer has their own policy, consult their website for information.

Depending on what you’re looking for (speed, esthetics, cost, etc.) you can draw your own conclusions. The X-Treme X-250 offers a lower price but the extended warranty on the Razor maybe more appealing. When it comes to kids scooters the equation simplifies to speed; the faster the better. For concerned parents speed may be an issue. The idea of their child or teenager scooting along at 15 plus miles per hour is not an inviting prospect. There is good news for both kids and parents.

Parents, every scooter will display speed on the specifications chart. If you are buying it from a retail establishment it should be on the box. If not, go online and look for the purchased brand and it should not be too difficult to find the specifications. For convenience, scooters for sale online should have speeds posted below the product. Take solace in the fact that the posted speed for a given scooter be dramatically reduced with a rider. For example, many kid’s electric scooters are limited to a top speed of 15mph butmore than likely will not see 10mph with a rider. Manufacturers list the maximum speed for a given speeder removing significant variables such as rider weight and terrain.

How can the information above be good news for kids? The simple answer is modifications. There are many ways to increase speed through weight reduction and motor swapping that will increase speed. This can be a win-win for parents and kids alike. Kids can learn the mechanics of their scooters while disassembling it with a parent. Motor swapping and battery upgrades are easy enough to interchange and can be an exciting parent-child project. My suggestion for kids is to purchase an affordable scooter for a couple of reasons. Let’s take for example the X-Treme X-140 with a maximum speed of 10 miles per hour. Comparably, this scooter is cheaper than other brands but just as quick and you can upgrade the motor with the savings. Secondly, the less pricey scooters come with less hardware (like seats) that weighs down the scooter which reduces speed. You can also swap batteries which can get costly (like lithium) that can conceivably double the range of the scooter.
