Google Music Service
What Google Music does is that it will help you to spend more time listening to your collection of music rather than spending more time to manage it. It will automatically sync the entire music collection, including the songs and albums you purchase and also those you upload and that too across all your devices.
This means that you do not have to worry about cables, transferring of files or be in a situation where you are running out of storage space on your device. All of the playlists that you have created will be kept intact no matter where you access your account from whether it is your tablet, your laptop or your phone. You can also select the artists, albums and playlists you would want to listen to when you are offline.
Google Music Library
When you set up the Google Music service, you can tell it to upload your Windows Media Player library or the library of your iTunes or any of the file folders that you select. This service supports more file formats than any other competitors out there, be it Amazon cloud player or the iTunes.
All of the music files are stored as 320 Kbps even if your music files are of higher quality. The player and the library is Google Music but all the purchasing is to be done from the Android Market site even if you don’t have an Android device with you.
The Google Music site also has an app called as Music Manager that you can download to your computer which will scan your computer for all the music files and upload it to the music locker which is cloud based. The place where you will purchase, preview and browse new music is the Android Market and all of this will then appear on your Google Music pages.
Songs range in price from 69 cents (44p) to $1.29 and come without DRM copy-protection. The search giant is also offering a different track free for download every day.
Cons
There are a few demerits of all this too! Like the iTunes Match and the Amazon Music Player, Google Music will not allow you to download the music you have on your account to any other computer unless the music file has been purchased by you on Google Music.
There is a lot of free music that is made available to all the people but there is a catch. You will have to give your credit card information even to get the free stuff and this may not be liked by some people.
And the biggest con is Google Music is only available for people in the US.

A recent article by AllVoices.com, explains that capes are the new coats for Winter 2011. Capes can be considered an accessory worn with casual wear, every day wear, or evening wear.

Selling on eBay: How To Make $200+ Overnight

If you have ever considered selling on eBay, you will love this quick little success story!

The other day I was at a new thrift store. It is about 100 degrees in Georgia right now and this place had no air conditioning. My husband was ready to leave, but I have to look in every nook and cranny of any thrift store or garage sale.

I saw this little painted copper teapot in the glass display case….

Just goes to show that you really can take your last $20, buy an item, list it on eBay and have the money within 24 hours for your electric bill, vacation money, medical bills….

Brand to Sell on eBay - Joseph and Feiss

ou may not have heard of this brand, but it is a good one to look for at thrift stores. Joseph and Feiss. This brand is sold by Men's Wearhouse and they make dress shirts, polo shirts, blazers, slacks, and suits.

I often see these dress shirts in thrift stores in what look like donation "dumps" from dry cleaners. You may not realize that dry cleaners need to do something with their unclaimed clothing, and many will donate the items to a thrift store to take the tax deduction for a charitable donation.

I had a great sale this week on a lot of Joseph and Feiss shirts. Below is my listing:

Click here to see the completed listing. These shirts cost me $2 each and the lot of 3 sold for $32.97. After fees, I realized a profit of $21.50. (You can figure out your profit using this handy ebay fee calculator.)

On a side note, although I have moved into selling on Amazon, I am still an active seller on eBay. My eBay sales have definitely decreased over the past 2 years with much of my time spent on private coaching, learning to sell on Amazon, writing information products, and collaborating with other eCommerce experts to create trainings. I still have my finger on the pulse of eBay, although not to the extent it has been in the past.

Also, I had somewhat of an incident this week with another blogger who took the liberty of plagiarizing material from my blog, eBooks, and Examiner column and passing it off as his own original work. Although legal action for intellectual property theft was avoided in this case, because of the nature of the internet, it is disturbing that anyone can set up a blog and post information and advice about selling on eBay. For those of us who make eBay (or online) selling a source of income, we know how much work is involved in this business. It is offensive when someone with very little (or no) eBay experience poses as an eBay seller with the objective of making money by pirating someone else's experiences and presenting them as their own.

I want to caution you when reading eCommerce blogs and advice on the internet. Consider the source before following advice. Who is this person? What is their experience selling online, and can it be confirmed? I would be wary of anyone who claims to be an eBay seller who does not openly share his store or user ID with his reading audience on a blog, Facebook Group, or other venue. This seems to be a problem with people thinking they can sell information about eBay and not have the experience or knowledge required to create or disperse correct information.

Howdy from the deep South everyone! I wanted to let my readers know that I have NOT dropped off the planet since February.

I have been taking a little break here and there, working on other parts of my businesses. eBay has not fallen away for me at all! But, the beauty of eBay is that I can have items sitting in my store (over 800 right now) and they still sell each and every week.

I can move items from my store inventory to auction to gather more buyers and lead them back into my store.

I can be sick, out of town, working on other things…. and still bringing in some income from my eBay store.

So, yes, once you “build it” they will still come. If you have not opened your own eBay store, you are missing the boat!

I am back at the eBay game, listing new items for the next couple of weeks again… so head over to my store and help me clear out my inventory to make way for my new stuff!:)

Charged Off As Bad Debt – In Your Business

What is bad debt
Especially when you are in business, charged off as bad debt is an accounting term that roughly means that if say a company finds that those people to whom it has given some money but they later on find that the person is unable to pay it off, then the company charges it off as bad debt and shows that amount as a loss.
For an example, you could be a wholesaler and you giving out credit terms to your customers with 3 months terms. Then you found out that their business is not doing so well and they are unable to pay the amount of stocks they have taken.
An important point to be noted here is the fact that charging off as bad debt does not signify by any means that the person does not need to pay the debt any more. It is obviously his duty to clear off the amount he has borrowed.
Legal actions
If he fails to do so, you, as the company or the individual whoever is the creditor will take some kind of action against the person for legal and justified reasons. However, for the meantime to balance his sheet and to show the loss of fund, he needs to charge it off as bad debt.
If by any means the bad debt is recovered, the entry is negated by making a corresponding entry in the other side of the balance sheet. For small firms that involve little stock inventory, they play the game with little budget.
How to avoid bad debt
It is absolutely essential for you to be very sure and certain before lending any money as when people are working with limited capital and investment and a lot depends on every single trading, a bad debt could turn a lot of tables. An entire firm can fail because of bad debt especially for small firms as they find it hard to manage even minor loss.
If a new clients with no credit record comes to you, always transact in cash term. Give them a few months and see how they fare. See if you have issues cashing in their checks and on how many occasions.
This can be a problem to small retailers. I know the feeling, when i first got started selling online then, nobody take e-store seriously. I have to carry stocks in cash term. It is one of the worst thing i’ve ever felt in my life.
But it is the only way these wholesalers can protect themselves. Afterall, i’ve no credit record with them.
A lot of firms have suffered in the past owing to bad debts. Make a conscious and justified decision before investing and lending money to others as ending up charging someone off as a bad debt could be a major setback.
Bad debts are no fun
Bad debts are a form of loss. Any loss is hard to deal with. Although, companies make their best efforts to recover all their money, yet sometimes when there is no option then they have to write an account off as bad debt.
No matter big or small; every firms find it difficult to accept losses as they deter the progress of your business. However, big firms have sufficient funds and stand in a position to recover from such losses.
On the contrary small firms that rely a lot on their stocks and inventory suffer badly because of such bad debts. They look for desperate measures to claim their money back as it is vital for the firm’s success. Inventory refers to raw materials or goods used and any bad debt incurred in this will have cumulative repercussions.

All the employees need to have a performance analysis or review done at the end of every financial year. Here are some of the details and the importance of employee performance appraisal system. A lot of forms are there which serve to analyze whether or not the performance of the employee is worth a promotion. Just like when you are an employee yourself. Ouch, i know how that feels.
Promotions can be a tough decision and a right method of determining the worthy candidates must be in place for your company’s best interest. A lot of feedback is also taken. Feedback from employees at same level can also be successfully implemented. The feedback should be kept anonymous and multiple feedbacks from various people could give a true picture. The most crucial role is that of the immediate senior.

If you are selling on eBay you will quickly realize that the fees can add up significantly over the month and take a big bite out of you business' profit. While there is no way to avoid paying fees there are some things that you can do to save money on your eBay fees.

Instructions Host your pictures on a free picture hosting site and put them into your auction description. EBay allows one picture included with your standard list fee and charges you extra for each additional picture you put on an auction.

- Run Dutch Auctions when you have multiple items that are the same. The Final Valuation Fee for a Dutch Auction is determined based on the lowest winning bid and then multiplied by the number of winners even though the other bidders will pay you a higher price for their item.
- Read the list fee chart provided at the eBay site and consider a lower starting price for your item. For example listing an item with a $9.99 starting bid will save money over starting that same item for $10.00.
- Evaluate closed auctions success rates to determine if optional features, such as gallery, are necessary. There are some items that will sell for considerably more money if you pay to put the picture into gallery, but with other items the sell price is the same regardless of gallery placement. Do you want to unlike all pages on Facebook? Too many friends to count on Facebook? This guide will show you the most comfortable way to do it and I will try to keep it up to date as much as possible...

Facebook is constantly changing its features, functions and formatting. Like most popular sites on the Web, the dynamic social networking site has repeatedly changed layouts, user controls and account management tools. However, many of the basic user preferences have remained the same -- you just have to know where to find these settings. Fan pages include a variety of subjects that Facebook users can "Like." If you have recently "Liked" a business, fan page or activity, you can easily "Unlike" the page and remove its posts from your news feed.

Once you have logged in to Facebook, on the top right hand corner of the page, click on your name or small profile picture.

Once you have done that, click on the Info link in the left column.

This will lead you to your Info section, in which all the pages you liked are organized into two areas: 'Arts and Entertainment' and 'Activities and Interests.' Next we will see how to unlike all your pages in each one of them.

Removing all your pages in the Arts and Entertainment area

Select the Edit option at the right extreme of the 'Arts and Entertainment' area, the one pointed in the next image:

Once you have done this, you will be directed to a new page in which you will be able to edit your Facebook likes. To remove all of them, click on the first page icon and then hold your keyboard Del or Delete key pressed until all the page icons disappear.

Once you have removed all the pages in this area, click on the "Save Changes" button, at the bottom of the form.

Removing all your pages in the Activities and Interests area

On the Info section that we opened at the beginning of this guide, select the Edit option at the right extreme of the 'Activities and Interests' area. Once you have done this, you will be directed to a new page in which you will be able to edit your Facebook likes.

To remove your visible activity pages click on the x at the right extreme of each one of them, and then click on the “Remove” button to confirm the action. To remove your interest pages click on the first page icon and then hold your keyboard Del or Delete key pressed until all the page icons disappear. Then, to delete all the other pages, click on the link that says “Other Pages You Like,” located at the bottom of the form, and after that, in the pop up window that will appear, click on the “Remove Page” button of each page (Note: in the recent days many users are reporting that these "Remove Page" buttons are not there anymore. This is obviously a bug or mistake, which surely will be fixed soon.). Finally click on “Close” in the pop up window and then on the “Save Changes” button, which is near the bottom of the form.

This method is the most comfortable to unlike all pages on Facebook.

Craigslist Vs. eBay: Where to Sell? What Items To Sell On eBay or Craigslist

Craigslist or eBay? When you are trying to GET RID OF CLUTTER around your house and make a little extra money, that question can be challenging right?...Not really, selling on eBay and Craigslist is probably the easiest thing to do. Particularly when you want to get the biggest return possible for what you are selling.

With each item you sell on eBay and Craigslist, you'll want to consider the following before listing your items on eBay and Craigslist:

How much would shipping cost?

Very important you calculate this correctly when selling on eBay.

Is the extra income I'd make via eBay worth the hassle of shipping it out?

Or is Craigslist a more viable option for selling your item?

Do I want to risk auctioning the item or go with the safe-bet price?

Are there enough people in my vicinity to sell the item through Craigslist at all?

Most important when selling in more rural areas.
Should not be a problem when selling on Craigslist in Bigger Urban Areas

Is the risk of meeting a stranger on Craigslist worth a few extra bucks?

With the recent cases in the media about people being killed while doing Craigslist transactions it should give you something to think about when listing your items on Craigslist.

So why don't we take a look at 10 common items that you may sell through an online ad and see if it makes more sense to post each item on Craigslist or eBay.

1. Furniture

You may be able to fetch more for a given piece via eBay, but shipping costs can be absolutely prohibitive unless you're talking about a smaller, highly coveted piece of furniture (i.e., an antique, light item). I was just able to sell an old bed via Craigslist for $150. The shipping would have been at least that much if I tried to sell it on eBay. Winner: Craigslist

2. Media Items

When you are selling individual books, CDs, DVDs, video games, or vinyl, demand is often a necessity in order to find a buyer. This is a split in my opinion and I will tell you why: Selling it on eBay will give you more of an exposure but will also cost you a lot of fees to list and final value fees that will considerably lower your profit margin. Where Craigslist wins Vs. eBay is the no fees therefore you could potentially get more money by selling it on Craigslist and Cash is always a nice little bonus. This is a split decision because of the nature of this category and that some items are more highly desired than others and then they would have to be sold on eBay. Winner: Split

3. Vehicles, Recreational Vehicles, and Bikes

Cars on Craigslist has become a big business. I was able to sell a car for the same price I bought it (used) two years earlier. The demand is sky-high. Once again, shipping becomes a prohibitive factor here unless you have something very unique that could fetch a much higher price with the added demand you'll get via eBay. It's also tough to find buyers who are willing to shell out significant funds without first checking the condition. eBay does come close behind as you will have customers that are local who will bid, again the fees are prohibitive and therefore the Selling your vehicle on Craigslist is clearly the winning option. Winner: Craigslist

4. TVs

There will be a local supply/demand for just about any type of TV on or off the market. At the same time, they are very heavy and fragile, which poses major shipping concerns. Winner: Craigslist

5. Event Tickets

I've really struggled with this one myself. I have only bought tickets from Craigslist ads; I've found that eBay prices are too high, and I can get a better deal buying from someone locally in the last few days or hours before an event. But this post isn't about buying, it's about selling. If you have tickets for a high-demand event and have a few months or weeks to sell and ship them off, eBay is the way to go. If you have to unload a ticket a few days prior to an event or less, Craigslist may be the only option. Winner: Split (eBay has the edge)

6. Clothing

The fact that you can try something on in person might work out to your advantage if you list via Craigslist. But 9 times out of 10 (if you're as picky of a clothing buyer as I am) it will not. When you sell via eBay, the buyer will rarely return the item if it comes as promised. If they don't like the way it looks on them, they'll usually just re-sell it. Also, shipping is often inexpensive and most items fit in the USPS 1st Class Mail Parcel which is cheap and fast. Winner: eBay

7. Used Cell Phones

I've seen three-year-old outdated cell phones bid on up to over $50 on eBay. My theory on this? People fall in love with particular models, are locked in to contracts, and when their devices fail them, have to get them back. Because they can no longer easily find the older phones, they are willing to bid up to surprising levels on EBay. This is definitely a category that benefits from nationwide demand. Winner: eBay

If selling New On Demand Phones(ex. Iphone, Mytouch 4, or any other Smartphones) it would be better to list it on Craigslist as well as most people do enjoy getting the phone the same day they pay for it and in most cases will be willing to pay extra for that small convenience that that is why Craigslist can provide a better selling ground for New, on demand smartphones.

Most insurance companies do not insure Computers and Cell Phones on eBay so Craigslist becomes a better selling avenue for these items.

8. Computers

Computers are such a commodity with the only big differentiators being the hardware and operating system, that they are frequently bought and sold at the local level. They can also be pricey to ship and very fragile, and a computer is an item that people may want to try out before buying used. Winner: Craigslist

Most insurance companies do not insure Computers and Cell Phones on eBay so Craigslist becomes a better selling avenue for these items.

9. Tools

Tools are a category where size really does matter. The smaller the tool, the more likely you'll be able to fetch a larger amount for it on eBay because of higher demand and lower shipping costs. The bigger the tool, the more likely you'll have significant local demand for it, and shipping costs become prohibitive. Bigger tools usually fetch higher prices, too, and buyers typically want to look them over. Winner: Depends on tool size

10. Pet Supplies

When Scooby goes to that little doggy place in the sky, he often leaves behind dozens of items. Americans are expected to spend $51 billion on pet supplies in 2011. That's a lot of crates, beds, bowls, and more. You're typically not going to be able to re-sell small used toys, but there is a lot of demand out there for the larger pet items. Dozens, maybe hundreds of people in your community are becoming first-time pet owners every day. When local demand is high and shipping costs are as well, turn to Craigslist. Winner: Craigslist

Deciding whether to sell on Craigslist or eBay varies for every product. I've provided some general guidelines here, but there will always be exceptions. Before you list a product, I'd recommend that you check existing and completed listings for that product on eBay and also search for that same product on Craigslist. Also always check the eBay fees and PayPal Fees and see if it makes sense to sell your items on eBay or if Craigslist is a better option. Find out what items have been sold for on eBay. That, along with estimating shipping costs, should give you a great idea which option will give you the best return.

How to Sell

To sell with Virtapay formerly known as Paybox, you must have the following things…

* You must have a digital product or service to sell.
* You must have the legal right to sell this item and it must not be listed on our Prohibited Items List.
* You must have a Sales Page and a Delivery Page — hosted on a web server on the internet.

Don’t have a website?

It’s probably easier than you would expect to get started. In fact, you can get web hosting at no cost. Never made a web page or used HTML? Most free hosting services offer very simple drag-and-drop web page builders. They are as easy to use as a word processor.
Here are a few “free hosting” links to get you started…

* Google Sites – Especially easy if you already have a Google account (Gmail, Google Docs, etc.)
* Weebly – A well-respected free hosting service.
* Yola – Another great free hosting service.
* Blogger, WordPress.com, Posterous et all

Step 1: Create and Host your “Sales” Web Page

* Make a “sales” web page that explains the benefits and features of the digital product or service you are selling.
* Upload your sales page to your web host.
* Keep a record of the full web address of the sales page for Step 3.

Step 2: Create and Host your “Delivery” Web Page

* Make a “delivery” web page that will instantly deliver or give buyers access to the digital product or service once they have paid with VirtaPay.
* Upload your delivery page to your web host.
* Keep a record of the full web address of the delivery page for Step 3.

Step 3: List Your Item on VirtaPay

* Once your sales page and delivery page are uploaded to your web host, click “Add new item” (on this page below) to list your item on VirtaPay.
* You will be asked to enter the full web address of your sales page and delivery page in the “add new item” form. Use the web addresses of the pages you created in Steps 1 and 2 (above).

Step 4: Add a “Buy Button” to your “Sales” Page

* After listing your item on VirtaPay—in order to allow buyers to buy—you must add a VirtaPay “buy button” to your sales page. This step is critical!
* To do this, click the “get code” link next to any item you have created (below on this page).
* Next, add the “buy button” code to your sales page HTML.
* Finally, save and re-upload your sales page to your web host.

Step 5: Activate your Item Listing

* After you have added the VirtaPay Buy Button to your Sales page, click the “activate” link next to the item listing (below on this page).
* Follow the instructions on that page to activate your item.
* Once activated, your item is ready for buyers! Activating the item allows it to show up on the VirtaPay “Buy page” listings and enables the payment page for Buyers who want to purchase the item.
