It’s never too late to  make all the Fat Be Gone! Seriously.. I know I am going to be checking everything out once I get my situation caught up at home. Oh and if you do Weigh-In-Wednesday you definitely want to hit up the forums. What a great way to network and post your weigh-ins-for-Wednesday..ya know?

Hey, maybe I am wrong. Maybe there are a slew of people out there who will read this post and find that they really can’t relate. Well, cool for you. You really are blessed!

Unfortunately, I am smack dab in the middle of one of the hardest times in my life. And, let me tell you, not to brag or anything, but I have had my share of crap in life. Sometimes I wonder what I ever did to have a continual slew of “issues” in life.

It’s really a cherry on top type of trial. I find myself taking 3 showers a day just so I can cry my eyes out without my kids seeing me. I am to the point where if I hear one more Christian cliché I may scream. Really.

Anyway, I have been praying a lot, crying a lot and writing more than ever. I guess that’s a plus. I am focusing on other things. However, the trial is in my face. I cannot escape it. It surrounds me from all sides and all the praying, bible studies and girl chats do nothing to penetrate the hopeless feeling of drowning in a sea of despair feelings I have.

I have found one comfort in all this, a new band I found, 7th Day Slumber. I have been listening to their new worship album, Take Everything, over and over again. It is keeping me from a complete melt down. I really love these guys!

Other than that I am walking more to burn the fat. I really want to lose the blubber, ya know?

As far as my ministry, Moms of Faith, well, I have not been able to do a podcast for a few weeks or even write any meaty devotionals. It all seems so pointless right now.

I mean I am not trying to act like my issues are worse than yours or anyone’s for that matter. I am simply saying I am so tired. I am simply asking what IS is to LIVE a Christian life? Why is it that everywhere I look in the Body, I see lies, selfishness, gossip, slander, secret sin, lack of commitment to Christ, lack of an obedient life, lack of forgiveness and love. I mostly see self absorbed interpretations of Scriptures that were never meant to be manipulated into easier to hear fluff.

Who are we kidding with our cliché phrases, potlucks, pew warming, hallelujahs, and Jesus stickers??? Not the world, that’s for damn sure! They see us for what we really are. They see how SO MANY of us are living secret lives of sin and selfishness. They see the hypocrisy of it all. They see that we are self righteous pansies who think we know it all….when really we know nothing at all.

Maybe that’s why Jesus said the road was narrow and “few” would find it??

Given that we’re spending billions of stimulus dollars to rebuild our highways, it makes sense to think about what we’ll be driving on them. For years to come, most of what we drive will be powered, at least in part, by diesel fuel or gasoline. To fuel that driving, we need access to oil. The less use we make of our own reserves, the more we will have to import, which leads to a number of harmful consequences. That means we need to drill here and drill now.

We rely on petroleum for much more than just powering our vehicles: It is essential in everything from jet fuel to petrochemicals, plastics to fertilizers, pesticides to pharmaceuticals. Ac­cord­ing to the Energy Information Ad­min­is­tra­tion, our total domestic petroleum consumption last year was 19.5 million barrels per day (bpd). Motor gasoline and diesel fuel accounted for less than 13 million bpd of that. Meanwhile, we produced only 4.95 million bpd of domestic crude. In other words, even if we ran all our vehicles on something else (which won’t happen anytime soon), we would still have to depend on imported oil. And we’ll continue that dependence until we develop our own oil resources to their fullest extent.

Those who oppose domestic drilling are motivated primarily by environmental considerations, but many of the countries we’re forced to import from have few if any environmental-protection laws, and those that do exist often go unenforced. In effect, American environmentalists are preventing responsible development here at home while supporting irresponsible development overseas. (read the rest)

Palin is right.  For the sake of our economic and national security we need to unshackle our ability to develop the God-given natural resources that we have here at home.  We can develop and access these resources in environmentally friendly ways providing a transition to a cleaner fuel alternative.  So my answer to her question is, “drill, baby, drill.”  Let’s get it from within our own borders.

It would be the common sense approach, which is why Washington won’t likely go for it.

2. Domestic Divapalooza: Honestly — I’m shocked – I did a little Nobel Peace Prize ranting of my own. What can I say? It ticked me off. OUCH! – Protesters came from every state – Let me get this straight.

3. I Am Pooped: We’ve Got SNOW People! – Yeah, it snowed today in Omaha. We got a couple of inches and then the sun came out and melted it away. I have a feeling that winter is going to be a Doozy this year.

4. Jooce Gossip: Jonny Diaz: A More Beautiful You – Have you heard this song yet? They play this on K-Love all the time. I Love It!

Miley Cyrus Is Cute: Did you guys know that she deleted her Twitter account? Well, she put together a little rap song to explain why she deleted her Twitter account. I’m so glad that Miley is acting her age because sometimes I wonder if kids get a chance to be kids when they are in the lime-light. Ya know?

I can’t wait for my husband to get home. He’s been gone since last Saturday. He was scheduled to come home yesterday but they weren’t quite finished with the project that they were working on in Ottawa Canada. Usually when he’s gone I start turning into a pumpkin by about Friday afternoon. If you think about it, I’m a single parent all week long but the only difference is I don’t have to report to work.

Did anybody notice I forgot to do the Saturday Situation last week? I don’t think there was enough time for me to work on it. I’m starting to think that Saturday might be a tough day to do? There hasn’t been a whole lot of participation. I’d be curious as to what you think of this type of Meme? Is it something people might catch on to? I hope so.

Ok, so I dug through all of the CheckupToday.com blogs that are listed in our directory to see who posted something today and the only one that I could come up with was BlogMommas.com – Cream Of The Crop – September 2009.

I actually came up with that concept and wrote that post. I’m a contributor over there. I love it! Anyway, on all the blogs I write on I like to go through all the posts for that month and recap the most popular posts.

If it’s a newer blog then I tend to pick the posts that have around 5 or more comments that were left. I don’t normally count the pingback or the trackback as a comment but if the blog is somewhat new then I do. In a way a pingback or a trackback is kind of like a comment except that the author responds to the post from their own blog. So yeah, I guess I do tend to count all of that when considering the most popular post of the month. On the busier, longer and more developed blogs I go with 10 or more comments that were left. That usually involves a super HOT topic. Sometimes people want to get their thoughts and opinions on the matter which is why I do “Cream of the Crop” for the month on those blogs.
