My Mom is Going to Jail!

Ok, not really… But she is going to a mock jail in an effort to raise money for a very good cause and you can help to bail her out!

The cry for help from Mom is as follows…

SET ME FREE! …and help the March of Dimes arrest the rising rate of premature birth. 1 in 8 babies is born to soon, and often too small. These tiniest babies struggle to survive, and too often many don’t.

I will soon be incarcerated in the March of Dimes Jail & Bail where I will be served only the finest bread and water (okay, maybe lunch!) You can help ensure my good behavior through your contribution. My hard earned bail will aid and abet the March of Dimes in funding lifesaving programs of research, education and community services. Programs that will save babies’ lives.

The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

The March of Dimes is a wonderful organization – their work is so important to mothers and children alike. You can help bail Mom out and give to a great cause by clicking right here. Every penny counts – Help the March of Dimes today!

Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
‘Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps’ pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!

Please welcome Lara of Lara’s Place to our Checkup Today family. Lara’s Place is a blog about Lara, Lara’s thoughts, her faith, her business, and all things Lara. From the looks of Lara’s site description it seems that she has a sense of humor too because she says on her blog, “how SELF absorbed is that?? ROFL!!”

Congress, with the passing of “Cap & Trade”, has openly declared war against the will and needs of the American people. I mean, who in their right mind believes we should be DOUBLING our electricity and gas bills in this economy?
