Do you like my LGTV Cinderella Story? Haha. Sorry if it's a little lame but I am trying to win a Smart TV for my dad for Father's Day yo! I think he's gonna be so excited if I can actually give this to him.

I was actually quite impressed with all the features you can have with a Smart TV when I went for the party last 2 weeks. How technology have changed, from an idiot box to SmartTV? One of the most appealing feature was the KPOP Zone where I get to watch all things related in HD and 3D.

Laughing Out Loud In The Train

I am in love with this Korean variety show called Running Man. It is so hilarious that I really laughed till my tears flow.

But watching it in a train back home was a totally different story.

I had to contain my laugh in an excruciating way. It is so horrible not being able to laugh out loud like I always do!

Sometimes, in the field that I am in now, I think it is important to be a 'NO' man. Stand out from the 'YES' man (which are many by the way) and learn to say no once in a while.

I myself is quite a YES man at times, but I need to start saying no and stand up for myself.

So I had to choose which is my favourite animal pal in Madagascar 3. So many quirky characters, so many choices. Here's a breakdown of the four main characters in Madagascar 3.

3 / 5 because Alex has a huge, luscious mane that no normal human can have.

2/5 because Marty talks too much.

4/5 because she dates a giraffe!

And 4 /5 for Melman because he is in love with a hippo!

Seriously, I have no idea which is my favourite character in Madagascar 3. I guess I would need to watch the movie to finally settle on one. :P

The Process: Audrey and Tim's Wedding Invites

When I got a call from Tim if I was interested in designing Tim and Audrey's wedding card, I was elated! :) The wedding theme was UP! and I was already thinking in my head on how should I design it the moment I put down the phone.

Of course I didn't dare to pursue on that idea. So I worked over the weekend and came up with this two initial options.

The first option was chosen, and it was time to tweak the colours and the mechanics of the invites. :) The eyes were also changed to something more silly looking instead of adorable eyes.

Finally, it was done with the suggestions and feedback from Audrey and Tim. :D

And then it struck, it kinda looks like a birthday card. :( Which I agreed after looking at it for a few times. Thus, we went back to the drawing board, and Audrey decided, hey, there's an airplane ticket in the movie, let's do an plane ticket invitation!

Thus I decided that it shall be an official boarding pass to their UP themed wedding. :)

I rushed this out in less than two days, and is super happy with the final result. I think it is more matured and less kiddish, which can be accepted by many people. :) (Ahem, I can do serious work too. See here and here. :P) And it also come with a customized airmail envelope too jeng jeng!

Congratulations Tim and Audrey! May you'll be blessed with many many cute kids! :D

New Layout: The Experiment

Hello! It's time for a new layout again! The previous layout became a blind spot for me.

This is called, The Experiment! :)

Somehow this theme is sort of influenced by The Big Bang Theory. Only recently I've started this series, and I laughed from the first episode to Season 5 now. Hence, I wanted to do something in relation to science.

I managed to proclaim my love for Captain America and The Avengers as well. HAHA.

On a side note, I think everyone in this world must always experiment. If we don't, one day, we are just gonna settle down in our comfort zone and never want to experience new things in life. I have so many things that I wanna do that I'm not sure where or how to start.

Plan B Publika, I am Disappointed

So I heard a lot about Plan B and Bens and what nots. So I was adamant to go try it out! Had a funny experience involving the restaurant's name as well.

Lovely decorations.

It was packed! Had to wait around 30 minutes just for a table. So I was thinking, should be not bad this place!

I love the decorations here though. I think it was done meticulously. Was quite impressed so far despite the waiting time.

However, it sort of went down the moment we were attended to after 10 minutes. The waiter was quite rude, and when I reminded him on some request that I made, he shrugged and said 'YALA YALA'.

It took a long time for the waiters to bring us our water. And the worse part is, they just dump cups on our table and left, without water. What's the point of bringing the cups then?

Then the drinks came. My friend was so disappointed with his root beer. It was 60% foam, 40% root beer, which I don't think it does the RM10 price justified. I know that it's a so called upper class restaurant but this?

Lucky we were a big group, hence we are able to pass time by talking and laughing, as the orders came really late. There were a lot of people, which explains the delay, but I think you should hire more people if you want to cater to whatever you are catering?

Seafood marinara. The fish smell was overpowering, which is sort of a let down.

Carbonara. No complains. Decent.

Char grilled cheeseburger.

Oh love the buns! Wholemeal buns ftw. The patty was quite thick, and grilled fresh. Not bad at all. But everyone didn't like the onion rings. I asked for my onion rings to be swapped with a salad, reminded the waiter, but it still came with onion rings. Le sigh.

The Loaded Club sandwich.

One thing that I must commend, it's kinda huge, and the salad is good. Homemade chips were on the healthy side. I tried a small bite, it was quite nice with the avocado spread.

But the long wait is really a let down, plus all the little disappointments in between, I don't think I will go to Plan B again unless it is a must. But I wanna try Ben's, another restaurant by The Big Group.

Or maybe I will go again for the soft shell crab pasta which my colleague loves so much.

Someone once told me that you can jump rope to grow taller. Over the years, I've learnt to accept my height, and actually I think, being short ain't that bad after all. :) Sometimes I wished I was smaller and shorter though.

A weekend lunch dilemma.

There's a friend of mine who have no idea what is Plan B when I was telling him about our Plan B lunch if there's no other shops available. Have you encounter this kinda situation before?

On a related note, I first tried Plan B with my hometown friends few weeks ago and I think that branch in Publika sort of disappointed me despite all its hype. :'(

Mother's Day Special: Young and Rebellious

But she did something that night that changed me forever.

She came into my room, and fixed my blanket right after our huge argument.

Drawing this post made me realize how hurtful I was towards her when I was younger. I still do it now sometimes, but I'm trying hard not to. There were a few occasions where I made her cry, and that time, I'm not sure if it hurt me, or I was still plain stubborn.

My mom is one stubborn woman, but behind all the stubbornness, she is someone that is willing to sacrifice many things my siblings and I. :(

I am lucky that I am someone that can appreciate many different types of music out there. I especially love indie songs from Angus & Julia Stone and Foster the People, not so mainstream songs from Passion Pit, and occasionally something light like Iron and Wine.

I am also into KPOP, albeit not as much, but is still loving songs from the older groups like Big Bang, 2NE1, Urban Zakapa and many more.

You know there's this saying that no matter how grown up you are, your parents will look at you like a little child?

I believe it works the other way around for me as well. I went back for 5 days last week, and I really felt like a child when I spend time with them. Perhaps it's me, or am I just too clingy to my family as I rarely get to see them?

Or perhaps, I longed not to be independent, and to go back to the days where I depend on them just like when I'm in school?

So, #bersih happened today. All in all, I believe all of us that are born in Malaysia love the country. What is there not to love about this country? The mixed races, the food, the unity, the language, the culture and we are also free from natural disasters.

But I'm disappointed on how this country is being handled. We have so much potential, and yet we are going backwards now. I've been keeping up with the news since yesterday, and although both sides are the wrong, I stand by #bersih. If we are allowed to use Dataran, then everything will be peaceful, just like all the other #bersih gathering in the different states and country.

Why do they make it so hard for us to demand for something so fair? The very morning I browsed through the mainstream newspaper, and never have I been so disgusted over their journalism ethics. So many things were censored, and some of the ugly side of the event yesterday were reported in a harsh way. To all the mainstream newspapers out there, shame on you. I will never serve such incompetent companies, even if I am forced to.

On a positive note, I believe we all love Malaysia as a country.

It's so scary to see life depleting, slowly but surely. Sometimes I'm afraid to die.

It's so scary to see how we embrace life differently, and how people learn to accept their deaths. I am not quite ready yet though.

It's so scary to watch someone close to you die. I lost my grandpa few years ago, and I don't want to lose anyone anymore.

It's so scary to see how one take it's own life. Is life that fragile after all?

It's so scary that I'm thinking about life and death.

Snuggling With A Book At Night

Recently, I bought quite a number of books, and the only time to read it is either in the bus, or before my bedtime.

Usually I cannot stop reading, and will try to finish the book as fast as possible, which indeed is one of the worst habit in my life. And the next day is just horrendous due to the lack of sleep. D:

Are you the same as me? Once you start reading, you cannot stop? I often get a little emotional whenever I finish a book though.

Life Changing Food in Serendah

So last month, my colleagues and I went to Chiling Waterfall (Story that next time okay) and we went to this amazing open air restaurant in Serendah, near this abandoned post office and the Serendah poliec station.

We ordered around 5 dishes for the 5 of us, and it was SO GOOD.

Seafood tomyam. SO MUCH SEAFOOD. But I don't really like the tomyam taste, too sour for me.

Serendah special Fried Chicken! Crispy.. with a little tinge of spiciness. I sort of forgotten the taste as I only had one piece.

But my colleague, Catherine, was basically in love with the tiny parts of this chicken.

OH MY FAV. THE TOFU. Soft soft and fluffy, like clouds in the sky.

Normal vegetable, but it was really fresh though. Is it because it's freshly picked?

And then it came, the life changing black pepper fish that changed the course of life..

TADAHHHH THE SAUCE WAS SO GOOOOOOOOOD!

So we had so much food, plus some drinks, it only cost us less than RM70. Such a good bargain for such life changing food right!
