Remember these little cuties from their 8 mo session? I just love watching my clients grow! I was so glad that we had such beautiful weather this time around. We just had one big play date and even took a walk to the park nearby. Little Anderson wasn't feeling very well that morning, but you can't even tell. He was a little trooper and Aliva hamed it up for us the whole time. Can't wait till next time!

What do you get when you take two adorable toddlers, a big beautiful backyard, basketball, and two gorgeous parents? Well you get the Bates! There was lots of laughter, dancing, jumping, and cuddling during this session. We had a really great time! I'll just let these images speak for themselves :)

The thing I love most about my job is that I get to know all kinds of different families and some really fun HS Seniors. During our sessions I we get to just chat and I come to find out some great things. If you are a local to Mill Creek, you've probably heard of this man with the big grin :) He is an orthodontist with a very cool office! I had the chance to walk inside when I delivered their order. Wow! It is beautiful and full of some really fun things. Not how I remember my orthodontic experience at all. Fun job and a really great family. Just love getting to know things about my clients like that. Oh and just in case you're wondering. That cute little poodle is Rocket. He was a champ the entire time!

I had the pleasure, a few months back, to join the Wenta family in their beautiful home one Saturday morning for some family portraits. Such beautiful girls! These 3 sisters reminded me so much of my own family. Which made their session all that much more fun. I love getting to know each of my clients and this family was no exception!

Calling all 2013 Seniors! {snohomish county high schools}

Chelsi Greenwood Photography is looking for Juniors graduating in 2013 who are interested in being senior reps!

The Job
Be the faces of Chelsi Greenwood Photography for the entire school year and get all your friends to come to me for their senior portraits. All you have to do is have a really awesome photo shoot the summer before your senior year, tell all your friends how much fun you had on your shoot, hand out your rep cards, and play on FB a lot.

1-2 students at each high school will have the opportunity to participate in the senior rep program. After you have been chosen, your portrait session will be done earlier in the year so you can start getting the word out. Most seniors have their pictures taken between July and September, so it is important that you show off your pictures and cards to your friends as soon as you get them.
Each card will have my studio name and contact information on it, along with your picture and name. It is important that your friends bring this to their sessions so I can track your referrals. The senior must book and complete a senior session in order for you to receive credit for their referral.

The Benefits

One custom photo session (must take place between May and July). Featuring professional makeup application!
10 new profile pics for Facebook AND a custom timeline banner
Rep cards to pass out to all your friends
Private Web Gallery for ordering and viewing images
One mini album**
Print credits, goodies or CASH for every referral you generate

The Rules
The whole point of this program is to promote Chelsi Greenwood Photography through my Reps. It will be expected of you to generate a minimum of 3 referrals for Chelsi Greenwood Photography.

You will be required to use one of your senior portraits as your profile picture and timeline cover photo during your entire senior year.
During your term as a Rep for Chelsi Greenwood Photography, you must promise to not work with any other photographers, and you may NOT represent, promote, or model for any other photographers during your term as a Rep.
If you are accepted into the program, your $100 deposit will be due at the pre session meet up.
If you are suspended from school or receive any other disciplinary action, you be let go from this program and will not be refunded your deposit.
A referral is considered a new, paying, senior portrait client who specifically mentions your name as the referrer. The referral is locked in and you will receive credit for the referral when the new client pays the deposit on their session fee.

**You will receive an album of images after you have referred at least one person to Chelsi Greenwood Photography. Once Chelsi Greenwood Photography has completed or spent any time photographing you as a senior rep, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

I will be accepting applications during the months of March-July. I will select 1-2 Reps from each High School in Snohomish County. Once I’ve selected all of my Senior Reps, I will hold Pre Session meet up for my new Reps and their parents. At the meet up, we will talk in detail about how the program works, look at some awesome products, enjoy yummy food, answer questions, sign contracts, and schedule your session!

Shaney {snohomish senior photographer}

I love shooting seniors and the beautiful Shaney was no excpetion. I love that I get to use my locations in a way that showcases each client's personality perfectly. We shot at a location full of flowers and greenery. Which could not have fit Shaney any better! She is a ballerina! It was so fun to watch her in action. Such grace and elegance. See for yourself :)

Last weekend I got to play at the park with this sweet family!
The rain held out just long enough for their session. I love it when that happens :)
You'll notice they brought Rocket, their little dog, with them and he was perfect. We had a great time and got some beautiful images. What more could I ask for really?

Abbie {snohomish high school senior photography}

This beauty just happens to have a special place in my heart. We are practically sisters. Well actually we are sisters. Abbie is my husband's baby sister. Isn't she gorgeous? This was such a fun session! We had been planning it for quite some time. Abbie planned out the entire thing. She knew exactly what she wanted every step of the way and I loved it! We loaded up the trunk with all the essentials (clothes, shoes, jewlery, hair accessories, a mirror, hair spray, and just about anything else you can think of). 4 hours later, we had covered 5 locations, taken over 1000 shots, and gone through several clothing changes. We had a blast and I couldn't be more happy with the moments we captured!

I love this family. They are seriously one of the sweetest most thoughtful families I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They welcomed me into their beautiful home to capture them just enjoying eachother. Nothing was really posed or forced. It was so relaxed and I loved it!

This beauty is an amazing ice skater!! She spends endless hours at the rink and her dedication really shows. She was featured in the Mill Creek Influence (a local magazine) and we used these pictures for her feature article with her family.

Can you tell where she got her eyes? Wow!

Western Washington Medical Group {mill creek photographer}

A few months ago I had the opportunity to do some portraits for a local Medical Group. Let me tell you, they were so much fun! I really didn't quite know what to expect going into it. Felt a little bit "big league" to me. How do you photograph 6 distinguished doctors? We did individual head shots for each of them, as well as some doctor/patient interaction. It was great and I would totally do it again!

A Fresh Start! {bay area ca wedding photographer}

Have you heard any crickets here lately?

Bad news...if you haven't noticed, that's about all that you could have heard in the last few months. I got pretty busy and dropped the ball.

Good news...it's a new year and I get a fresh start! Oh I just love making goals and taking steps forward in achiving them.

Right now it's all about learning how to balance. I have been wanting my business to pick up and boy did it ever!! It's been wonderful and very confusing all at the same time. I don't think I realized how much I would be taking on in a short amount of time. It all went pretty smoothly all things considering. It didn't affect my wonderful clients, but my little family had a lot less time with me than usual. Busy season is behind me and now I have more time to catch up on important things like cuddling with my sweet babies and blogging :)

Get ready for a flood of posts in the next few days!

Did I mention that my baby sister got married a few months ago? Oh and that she married my hubby's brother? Well, she did! We couldn't be more happy about it around here :)

Now that is one gorgeous couple.

It was a perfect day! Kayla looked flawless and they could not be more in love. I just love them together!

So much to catch up on and so much to come!

I was privlaged to meet the "M" family a few weeks ago who welcomed me into their beautiful home for a fun family session! It was just going to be Mom and Dad originally, with all the business of summer time. I arrived to find that the whole family was able to be there. We even got to include their adorable little dogs. They were quite the little characters. Such a gorgeous family, and I don't think I could say enough about their yard! I think I'm having a little backyard envy right now. It was seriously so gorgeous. Who needs a park, or a lovely grassy field when you've got a yard like theirs?

What's better than hanging out with your family and kicking your feet up in the comfort of your own home, while it's all being captured?

That's excatly what this session was all about! We stayed in and around their beautiful home for the entire session. It rained (sometimes poured), but we had a great time.

They totally rocked it, right? Such a beautiful, warm, fun loving family. They made it so easy to capture those conections. Thank you for welcoming me into your home Q family!

It's Friday once again!

Is it just me or did May just pass you right by too? I'm so glad I took my camera with me on this beautiful spring walk!

This was taken a few weeks ago on really beautiful trail that we like to take when we walk to the "swing park", as my little Madi likes to call it.

Here's what I did:

The color was very cool. So, I warmed it up a bit.
Boosted the color
Added a little bit of a warm glow in the left hand corner.
Patched out the pole. (I did it really quickly and it's not all that great, but I didn't need it perfect for the promotional piece I used it for.)
Cropped it in a bit.
Sharpened it.

It's Monday!

That means it's time for M.O.M.

Madi my 3 year old, did a little bit of, shall we say....chopping to her hair!

My options were leave it all ragedy or give her a whole new look.

I chose option number 2 and I couldn't be more happy about it!

It's so easy to style and it looks adorable on her!

This little sunshine just happens to be 8 months old today!

Her cuddles and kisses are what get me through the day.

Oh my how I love her.

It's the start of a new week!

Did this week fly by, or is it just me?

It's Friday one again and that means I get to share some photoshop magic with you!

This one is one of my favorites from a senior session last year. We started off at her beautiful home and then headed to seattle to get some fun shots there. It was definitely one of my favorite sessions to date!

I couldn't decide between color and b&w. So, I'll leave it up to you :)

Can I just mention that in these images I didn't touch her skin at all!
Yeah, I'm a little jealous too.
