ART FOR OTHERS FUNDRAISER for East Side Neighborhood Services

Organized in 1915, East Side Neighborhood Services, Inc. is a non-profit human service agency that provides social and other services to individuals, families and neighborhoods primarily of Northeast and Southeast Minneapolis and surrounding communities. Its purpose is to assist people of all ages and backgrounds in realizing a higher quality of life.

Grain Belt Artists have donated 5”x7” artworks to benefit East Side Neighborhood Services. The donation price will be $30 for each 5”x7” piece with all proceeds going to ESNS. Works will be sold on a first come first serve basis, and will be available until sold out. So come early!

The High 48s bluegrass band has achieved national recognition, winning the prestigious Rocky Grass Bluegrass Band Competition in Lyons, CO, touring the national bluegrass festival circuit and earning the respect of bluegrass musicians and audiences North and South. ART DEMONSTRATIONS – Saturday and Sunday

Encaustic Painting with Jeff Hirst -Encaustic is an ancient medium that combines beeswax and pigment melted an applied to a panel while in a liquid state.  Suminagashi with Liz Cunningham – Suminagashi means “ink-floating” and is the ancient Japanese technique of decorating paper with inks.  Silver Soldering with Linda Koutsky -Jeweler Linda Koutsky will demonstrate sterling silver soldering techniques using Minnesota rocks, leaves and found objects.
