Hello!

Even if I love pink nails and all I want to wear ATM are pink nails, I decided to apply a nice light blue nail polish. I am not sure if I already wore it or not, but it is gorgeous.

Sadly it took me 3 layers of nail polish to get full opacity. That means longer drying time... But worth the wait!

For some reason after a couple of hours small bubbles formed on my nails.. :/ Weird. They were already dry at that point.

Anyway.. off to the beauty itself.

YAY for getting back my DSLR! <3.

NOTD: Essence One Kiwi a day (Fruity LE)

Hello everyone,

It's been quite a boring week so far. It's raining every single day, tho today it stopped for a couple of hours (so I could go out and take some pictures of my manicure!). I also forgot to update my pregnancy diary and now I'm so far on that I have no idea what to write. Well of course I will remember what happened which week, but lets hope it will be good :D.

Anyway, yesterday I changed my manicure since my gradient manicure didn't last long enough and it chipped on my thumb nails. That's why I decided to use the last polish I have from the Fruity trend edition, even if I didn't feel like going green.

But you know what? The polish is actually really pretty! The only downside is the opacity - it took me 3 coats to get full opacity. But at least with my quick drying polish it dried in no time (lol okay, not really).

And I really like the sheen to it, pretty and yellow (golden?). But I'd prefer if it was a lovely creme or jelly polish as a base with glitter. Oh well, sometimes we can't have it all..

I didn't notice the hair on my nails >_<

Ahh, even if I am not a huge fan of green nail polishes, this one is really pretty.

Don't you think so?

Essence Natural Cover Moisturizer in Lighter Skin

Hello!

I was searching for something with less coverage, since my skin just got better and I was walking around bare faced. I wanted something with a tad of coverage, because I do have some red spots here and there, especially after washing my face (after which I took the photos).

My bb cream is currently too heavy in coverage, so I picked up this product when I went shopping with my sister. She did the same, so we'll see if it will be suitable for her too.

My skin is combination, but since I'm coming to an end with my pregnancy it has gone crazy. After I wash it it is mostly dry or there are dry patches, so I use almond oil whenever I see that.

But natural oils aren't the best for during the day (almond oil takes a while to sink in and jojoba oil doesn't do the heavy moisturising I sometimes need).

So after I learned that this cream is essentially a moisturiser and then a foundation I got super excited!

I was only worried it would be too dark for my skin, but it really is such light coverage that it matches perfectly.

Here are some photos of the before and after application. Please keep in mind my skin was a bit irritated from the previous washing.

I like the packaging. It's simple, efficient and travel friendly.

As you can see it doesn't nothing for dry patches - you have to fix those another way.

Texture:

I really like the texture. It's creamy, gentle and gives a soft feeling afterwards. The best part is that there's little of the product needed to cover the whole face.

Scent:

It smells of perfume with a mix of alcohol. It's pleasant, and on the face it vanishes quite quickly.

Coverage:

Light coverage. It doesn't cover hardcore redness, real acne or acne scars.

Price:

Perfect! 1.99€ for 50ml. And if it works for your.. what more would you want?! =D

Overall:

The price is great, the application is fantastic and the coverage is medium. Exactly what I wanted! Plus it helps controlling the sebum on my usually oily areas (forehead, nose) and it moisturizes other areas (but not the patchy dry areas) So far I love it, hopefully nothing will change on the long run :).

NOTD: Color Club Ultra-Astral

Hello!

This is another beauty from the limited collection from Color Club 2011 (Starry Temptress). It's a gorgeous bright neon, with pretty glitter in it.

I have it as my pedicure since I got it (2 weeks I think?) and it still looks fantastic!

The application was just flawless, 2 coats - and 1 could do as well! The texture is perfect, there's nothing to say about it here.

Drying time also is the + of the nail polish.

Now lets move on to the pictures, 2456 pictures of it... =D

Really, it's just so pretty! <3 I am glad I got it. ^^

I like the fact it has glitter in a neon cream base, for some reason the neon doesn't look as bold then.

NOTD: Gradient Glitter Manicure

Hello <3!

Glitter manicures are all over the internet, so of course I had to try it too!

And since there's currently on my nail a gorgeous glitter neon I used that as a base (CC Ultra-Astral).

I have a similar nail polish from the same collection that I decided to use as the gradient (CC Space Case).

Sadly it doesn't show well on photos, but it does show pretty well in real life. It looks like a gentle gradient, nothing too harsh.

It will probably look better next time with a cream based nail polish ^^.

From far away it looks way better than up close - it must be because of the glitter?

Did you already try the gradient manicure?

Review: Geo Kira Kira Brown (WT-A44)

Hi!

Remember when I mentioned the soulless child look in my last circle lenses review? Yes? No (then click here)?

Well these usually good looking lenses give me the exact look I don't want to have.

Soulless child. =D

They probably look divine on brown or black eyes, but on my light eyes they freak me out.

So what am I talking about?

Specifications:

Diameter: 15.00mm

B.C: 8.7

Water contenent: 38%

Duration: Yearly

Brand: Geo Medical (Korea)

They only come in Plano (0.00)

They are the perfect shade of brown and the pattern is just lovely.

Comparison

See these are HUGE!

In close ups they actually look decent. So they would look great with a lovely make up or some dark creature inspired mask.. :D But for daily use.. ugh.. Nope.

Souless child! Or maybe looking really tired/wasted?! Not for me =P.

Enlargement: 10/10

They are HUGE! Well they make my eyes look huge! Which is cute, but not for me.

Color/Design: 4/10

I don't like the color on me, but otherwise it's a lovely brown. The pattern is lovely, but then again not for my light eyes.

Comfort: 8/10

As huge as these are, they are pretty damn comfortable! I wore them for a couple of hours and there was no dryness or anything like that. I'd use them daily if I would like the design and color.. :P

Overall:

These are great lenses, but I don't really like how they look on me. Too dark, the rim is too big. Brown eyes don't really suit me. I'd love it if they came in green <3.

If you are looking for natural looking brown lenses (and you have dark eyes), these are for you. If not.. well move along =D.

NOTD: Essence Very Cherry (Fruity TE)

Hello dear readers,

As you may have noticed my blog has a new design. Do you like it? =D

I am still trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with it and how to make it show with the template, but that is something I'll do in the next year or sooner.

I didn't think that I'd have to change my manicure so quickly. Well yes, after two days I could notice a tiny almost invisible chip on my index finger, but nothing too extraordinary.

But then the little accident with the refrigeration happened and my nail broke. Luckily my nails were long, so it didn't get to the raw part.. just about 1-2 mm of nail. Nothing I couldn't cut off and file down.

So with my new short nails it seemed like a good idea to try a new nail polish.

Still from the super fun Fruity Collection from Essence, but this time the peachy one - Very Cherry.

What to say? The application wasn't as easy as it was with Mashed berries, because the base is a polish with some sheen in it (hardly noticeable in real life). I prefer the jelly base. Also it is thicker (I am not sure if it's like this just with my nail polish or all of them) than the other one.

The drying time was OK, with 3 coats applied.

Sadly there was no sun today, so I only have photos from inside and outside (no sun).. :(

Essence Very Cherry (Fruity Collection)

It looks like some bubbles formed on my nails, but that's just the glitter. In real life they aren't visible.

I like the color, but it's less fun than Mashed Berries (which I love!). The peachy colour reminds me of Spring (and less of Summer).

Hello dear marshmallows ;D - yes I get food associations and I can't help it.. :P

Yesterday I went back home to the seaside and since one girl mentioned they still have the Fruity collection in Drogerija Tuš, I decided to check it out. And guess what?! They had all three nail polishes that I wanted. All the ones with glitter which seemed like super fun. I grabbed those and the two top coats (since I love their sealing top coat).

Today it was time to change my manicure, and what better use of new nail polishes than to apply them?! The decision was a really thought one, but the pink polish with purple glitter won.

The name reminds me of a fresh combination of berries and milk, or frozen yoghurt. I'd eat that.

I applied 3 thin coats and 1 coat of Color Club 0-60 seconds top coat. I can say that it did dry in a really decent time.

This is such a fun nail polish! <3

The only really annoying thing is that there's no name written on the bottle :/. I had to google it..

My H&M lipbalm keychain. Kind of creepy.

Review: GEO Hurricane Violet lenses (HC-101)

It's time for some circle lenses review! And you know what's best? That these lenses are violet. Violet on green eyes, yeaaah! :D

Anyway I took the pictures quite a while ago, but decided to write the review only now (sometimes I'm just slow).

Again, these are yearly lenses so you can wear them all year long (with proper cleaning and usage).

They have a nice black rim around them, but it blends in them really nicely. I absolutely love the pattern on these. It's so much fun!

Haha, my eyebrows were really a mess, no? :D

And the lenses alone on my eyes. <3

I love the effect they gave me (very dolly!) and actually they do blend quite well with my light eyes. That came a bit of a shock to me, because I'm used to look like a soulless child with dark lenses.

YES! They make my eyes look huge! The rim adds something to it, but damn I'm seriously in-love with these.

Color/Design: 9/10

I know that I usually say that I prefer natural looking lenses, but these really grew on my. Perfection + they are violet. I prefer crazy crazy lenses or just natural looking ones. Well these are in the middle, still really wearable but the color and pattern is just.. aww <3.

Comfort: 8/10

Despite their size these came out to be pretty damn comfortable. A couple of minutes wearing them and I didn't even know I was wearing lenses!

Overall:

Well when was the last time I was so crazy over a pair of circle lenses? It's really been a while. I only wish I had them with prescription so I could wear them without my glasses. But still, perfection! <3

NOTD: Color Club Space Case

I've been in love with this nail polish since I first saw it. It wasn't that long ago - I think it was about 3 months ago. First I had to learn which color it is, and when I did .. I got sad :/. I learned that it was a limited edition.

But since it's a LE from 2011, I still got some hope left... But in the meanwhile I forgot about it.

Until yesterday. I saw it in this tiny store, that they are selling Color Club nail polishes. Sadly they didn't have it, but I got their fast drying nail polish. But (!!) an hour or so later I found another store selling CC polishes and they DID have it!! I was overexcited! It was the last one, and also used (!), but honestly I didn't mind. I wanted it pretty badly so I bought it. And with it the Ultra Astral polish from the same collection.

Now I have it and I think it was a great purchase! I am madly in love with it, and it makes me giggle every time I look at it (quite annoying lol).

I had to edit the photos (lighten them), because it photographs as some hardcore neon when in truth it's a light pink one.

The photo without the editing - it looks really bold.

When in most cases it looks like this!

I was hoping that the fast drying top coat would give it a more glossy finish, but not. You can see the glitter and feel it too (not too bad).

Hello pumpkins (haha I love it!) <3,

Today it's time for a really interesting nail polish. I am usually really not into mauve nail polishes, but since this one is a gift I couldn't say no. But it has an interesting 'feature'. Pink shimmer, which is visible only at certain angles. When you look directly, there is none, but with the corner of your eye you can see there is something more to the mauve..

I applied it without any base coat, since I was super lazy. I also doubted in its opacity, but honestly it rocks. 2 coats - 1 could do, but the 2 are for the pictures ;). It dries quickly <3! Which is also awesome for all those people that don't use quick drying top coats (like me ATM).

So, it has pink shimmer, easy application (I love the chunky brush), great opacity, quick drying. I am in love! =)

First the micro shimmer - pink (and also purple) <3

Shadow - no trace of anything pink

Sun - with the corner of your eyes, you notice the pink shimmer on some nails..

Still looks somewhat flat..

But there it is again.. :D

Anyway, the polish is a true cream polish (when it comes to application). And in normal inside light it looks just that - a nice mauve cream polish.

Hello everyone!

Here it's the warmer version of yesterday's make up. I used lots of pink and some black eyeshadow. Of course yellow looked good with it, so it ended on my eyelid.

But since I wanted to use glitter, I applied it on the brightest part of my make up. Central eyelid.

I really like how it came out - it reminds me of the sunset..

Well hopefully, this is an introduction to many more creative make up looks!

Today I had 20 minutes off, so I could do a nice make up look. Well I was also inspired, so I decided to try something new. Something I never did before.

Pregnancy from Week 25 to 29

Week 25

This week I got my diabetes test on my schedule. I had to go to the laboratory at 7:00, then they took my blood and I had to sit until 8:00 when I was given this disgustingly sweet thing (3dl of glucose, not sure if it was diluted with water or not). My baby started to kick like crazy after I drank the thing. I was also feeling really dizzy and high and also weak. It was just terrible! I sat for another hour (my butt was already hurting!), when at 9:00 they took another sample of my blood. I felt relieved since there wasn't all that sugar in my blood.

Another hour of sitting and another sample of blood. After 10:00 and the last sample of blood, I was free to go.

Not to say that I didn't want to see anything sweet for a couple of hours, ew!

The baby also started to kick more and more (well I can feel him kicking more and more), and those kicks aren't really on the pleasant side.

(week 29 - dressed up)

Week 26

The baby is growing, and I can say he is growing by my back hurting a lot! I mean, it hurts only when I sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, because of my new way of standing. It's not really painful, but it is annoying and it drains my energy.

If I want to pick up anything, I have to bend my knees and then do it. Sleeping on my back is now a huge no-no, since in the morning it will hurt a lot if I do that.

I had a huge quarrel with my flat mate and it almost got me to the labour room. It's been a stressful week. But I'm glad that we got over that shit - especially since the dude is a PITA and from now on he doesn't exist for me.

I've also been checking some baby items, which are all so cute!! <3

Week 27

The little boy is getting bigger and his kicks come as a shock to me (not all, but some are so strong that it takes my breath away!!). I've also been having problems with my joint bones. They've been hurting like hell - it's a weird kind of pain.. like the muscles inside hurt. And because of it I can't really sleep, and feel really drained during the day. :( So far I didn't find a real solution (except lots of sleep and sweating during it), my immune system probably collapsed because of all the stress. :/

Week 28

This week has been quite uneventful, except for a cold or whatever the heck was it.. I also pee a lot more! And am feeling thirsty most of the time. :P Oh and my appetite is aiming for the sky. I ate ice cream and fruit salads daily and I thought I'd surely gain lots of weight. Well it turns out I gained 1kg in the whole month, yay :D

Week 29

My partner and I started the parenting school, which is really informative. There were two lessons this week, next week it continues. I also got a check up from my gynecologist and so far everything is fine. I saw my baby's face in 3D (mad love!!). Plus I am already sweating like a pig, and outside is like 8 Celsius degrees, lol.. Also I am kind of freaking out at the thought of labour.. My tummy is getting bigger and bigger, each day it passes by..

FOTD: Hair Change

Hey everyone,

A while ago I got the chance to go to a hair stylist for quite a decent price (considering that most of my cosmetic stuff is now on a budget, yah!). I woke up in the morning and noticed this huuuge pimple on my eyelid. Yah, super sexy, nothing to say here. That's why I look a bit 'high' or super sleepy :/.

So my before hair:

Yes, the hair stylist went a bit crazy with my hair (haha). But it was essentially just a hair cut (shortened them about 3cm). Tho I really loved the scalp massage I got <3. That was divine.

And after two weeks:

I took these pictures at about 6:30 AM. And for some reason I look decent and as if I slept the whole night, lol.

Anyway, I like how my hair looks now. I thought about a really extreme hair makeover, but then decided against it. Why? I'm not ready yet..

NOTD: Pink and pearls

Hello everyone,

I got lots of nail polishes from my sister, and this beauty was one of those babies. It's called Maybelline 140 - Baby pink. A pretty decent name, considering how old it is.

The application wasn't problematic and it also dried quite quickly (considering I applied 3 layers). The brush was OK, nothing special.

I added some pearls, just because. :D Of course a walk with the dog (wild wild beast, jk) wasn't such a good idea - especially with a fresh manicure. But it survived. I needed to reapply the pearls on the other hand, but otherwise it was fine.

With summer coming, I feel like wearing super colorful manicures. <3

Health issues during pregnancy

This is an article about the health issues I have (and still am) experienced during my pregnancy. It's not about all the general issues regarding health and pregnancy. Please do keep that in mind :).

The first health issue was the nausea that didn't want to go away.

No matter what I did - I was feeling sick all the time. I tried with many different types of food, drinks, sleeping more.. Nothing. If a snack seemed to help me with my nausea, it backfired right after a couple of minutes (like 30?).

And then I heard of the special bracelet, the acupuncture one. I can't say if it works, because I got mine when the nausea was already gone (a day or two later, oh the irony!). It's supposed to work because it presses on an acupuncture spot and then the nausea is gone! :D

The second health issue was the terrible back pain

This is one of the most annoying part when it comes to pain. It didn't help if I slept on my back, side or any else position (okay, there are really just two - side and back). I tried drinking the multivitamin pills, which did help a bit. The solution came in a really weird way. During my reconnection therapy. It was really interesting. Also massages did help with soothing the pain.

The third one is the super exhaustion, that followed in the 4th month of pregnancy

I thought that after the nausea was gone, well that I'd have some energy boosts (as people said). LOL, that was such a bad presumption! I was exhausted and couldn't do anything for more than a couple of hours (max 3!). My doctor thought that I might have thyroid problems or maybe diabetes (since it runs in the family). Luckily it was none of the both.

The exhaustion passed by itself, but it's true that I did take the vitamins supplements for pregnant ladies.

The fourth one is the most recent one - joints pain

This one honestly scared the hell out of me. It was an unusual pain, nothing I've read about before. The pain started in the evening and lasted through the morning. That's why I woke up at about 1PM every single day. I couldn't sleep at night. One day I woke up with the pains from my shoulders down (all in my joints!) and it didn't want to go away during the day. I read that magnesium pills help, so I took them. It helped a bit, well if nothing else it did help with my leg cramps (damn those are quite annoying!).

Luckily all of the supplements are available in Pharmacies (like the Canada drug pharmacy)

I hope that the last trimester of my pregnancy will go on smoothly and without major health issues. I also hope the labour in water will be possible.

Because of this weird weather (it's been really cloudy for a couple of days), I wanted to have a manicure that would cheer me up.

And what better colour is for that, than orange?

I used Essence Sun Downer (From the Return to paradise TE) - 2 coats.

The application was great and the drying time was absolutely fine. Of course I managed to bump my nails in the drying time...

Hello!

I know it's been a while since I posted anything - but that doesn't mean I am not active on my new instagram account (add me: cherrycolors).

That's why I decided to share some photos with you - my dear readers <3.

This week has been a really exciting one, full of work and trips.

First it started with some ice cream - yes! A popsicle that I love. Nom nom... Then I took a photo of my orchid just to test the application. And well I love the effect!

I must say that for three consecutive evenings my dinner dessert was a fruit salad with ice cream. I loved that we prepared it together (me & my dear) and ate it when chatting.

Well most of these pictures are food pictures, because.. you know with being pregnant I am hungry most of the time :D.

On the last picture my dear looks like a bad-ass (notice the golden necklace, lol??). My dog looks terrified, which is also weird.

Anyway.. it was a full week ^^.

I will keep you updated, now that instagram is installed on my phone ^^. Plus it's about time I post a nice little post on my blog.

NOTD: Illamasqua Loella + Bled Cream cake

Hi!

Since my last manicure it's been more than a week. For some reason the sparkling thing chipped quite fast, but the glitter didn't want to get off! :<

And so I came to this dilemma - what to put on?

I got this gorgeous nail polish by Illamasqua from my sister, so I decided to got for it, and apply it.

The application was fine, but it took me 3 layers to get full opacity. The drying time was so-so, since I don't have a fast drying top coat.

I went to sleep 2 hours after the manicure and on my right hand there were sheet marks on my nails :/.

Hi everyone!

It's time to post another review of a less natural looking pair of lenses. But still, these are fun!
I had this yellow, red and black make up and when I put these lenses on, I realized it's the worst combination of colors possible. But I liked the effect they gave me. Warewolf (or Edward Cullen) style! :D

They did blend well with my own light eyes. The brown covered the green parts of my eye pretty well.

As you can see they look good, from far away. If you look close enough, you can see the pattern and my own color. But normally you can't see it.

They don't really have an enlarging effect, but I don't mind that. I like them for their uniqueness.

Nothing much. It does a tiny bit of enlarging, but no enough to be called dolly eyes.

Color/Design: 6/10

I liked the color, I liked the way they look on my eyes. Even if I think that this kind of brown (honey) doesn't really suit me. But still, pretty design!

Comfort: 7/10

Comfort wise they are OK. They didn't dry my eyes in the couple of hours I wore them, and I could't feel them at all - except when inserting them for the first time.

Overall:

I do like them, but the color doesn't suit me. It's a nice change from my green eyes (which means they are really opaque, since no other circle lens could do that for me). They are comfortable (tho not super), look pretty and last up a year. They would probably look better on someone else (dark haired, less pale?) than me.

Hi!

Sooo.... Two days ago I cut my nails back to short. Painfully short. Why? Well I wish I could say I broke one of them, but that isn't true.

Since my nail polish chipped, and I didn't have a file with me plus I couldn't just leave it alone.. I bite it! EW! The nail got softer and then it broke. Hell yes. That happened to another nail, so I had to shorten all of them.

That's why when I got home, the first thing was to file down my nails and remove the nail polish. And since my nails are so short, that no nail polish could look good, I decided to try something different. Lazy proof too.

I applied just Essence Circus confetti. I am not sure if I like it, but I can survive with this manicure for a week. Especially because removing it, will be a pain in the arse.

Well, in real life it's prettier (shinier!), but that's pretty much it. It definitely needs a polish under, to add a little of something more to the manicure.
