Tamales and Huevos

Sometimes Pappa needs his breakfast at 6:30pm.  That's just something y'all are going to have to live with.  I don't remember when this was, but I remember that I made it.  Erika (my foxy wife) took the picture and ate this plate.  It's hard to tell under all that cheese but there is some rice and then a perfectly sunnyside-up egg there as well.  Corn tortillas kick the crap outta toast any day if you ask me.

South Philly Pork Sandwich (version 2)

Another great sandwich from the Red Bird Wine Bar! Rosemary rubbed-slow roasted Pork. Thinly sliced on a roll w/ Vinegar Peppers & Greens. Oh and hush puppies!!

Turkey and Swiss Omelet with Hashbrowns

So, back in April I started the Hunt for Missoula's Best Ham and Cheese Omelet.  You haven't heard much about it lately because I'm lazy and forgetful.  But, believe me, I'm still hunting.  Anyway, when we sampled the Ham and Cheese omelet at Paul's Pancake Parlor, my wife ordered the turkey and swiss omelet.  Maybe she's having her own contest?  I dunno.  I freaking loved these hash browns, though!

Here's a bit of a surprise for you!  This mystery submission wasn't cooked by Doug Smith.... um... but it was submitted by him.  Heh.  It was cooked by "Big Turtle".  I'm guessing beets, tuna and olives on this one.  Everything else in this delightful-looking nosh is a mystery.

Unknown Tagine Dish

Yup, you guessed it.  We have another mystery submission from Doug Smith.  I'm guessing this one was prepared in a Tagine, but that's about as much as I can guess.  The mascarpone or sour cream in the middle is throwing me, though.  I wouldn't expect that in something Moroccan.  But, this is all conjecture until Doug chimes in.

Pretty much all I know about this dish is that it was prepared by Doug Smith.  Doug routinely sends me pictures by texting them to my phone with absolutely no description.  So, as a result, I have buckets of his pictures that I'm reluctant to post.  (Also, his phone takes pictures that look like you are in a foggy shower or something).  But, now isn't the time to be picky.  I need to blast out some chewable pictures!
