Sylvan Esso is Amelia Meath of Mountain Man (who I think I saw with the Decemberists on The King is Dead tour?) and Nick Sanborn of Megafaun, a band I love dearly.

I guessed that Mountain Man were part of the Jagjaguwar family, descended from DeYarmond Edison, but a little Googling debunked that theory. Turns out Nick’s a Polyvinyl alum. Huh!

Anyhoo, I don’t know how these guys came together, but I like it.
