What feelings does the word evoke in you? Soft daylight, baby blooms, lush countrysides and the sweet smell of lilac and hyacinth in the air. And while these lovely captures are the tactile essence of the season they can also be brought into our wardrobe with ease. Shades of ivory, pale blue, blush, sage and tan are each the cornerstone of a beautiful springtime palette. I love them worn in the classic way which means, shirt dresses, a crisp blouse, cable knit lightweight cardigans, smart trousers and the iconic double-breasted trench. These pieces are so time-honored that they alone can create the core of your spring closet.

To me it is a splendid season, filled with opportunities to cosy up, dress in layers, welcome winter whites and come home to oneself. Sweet, glorious, sensual American sunshine. It fills our days and lifts our spirits all year long but never more so than during the summer months. Today I'm celebrating the solstice season with these sun-inspired items that work together or on their own to help you bask in the beauty of these summer months.

Yellow is having a moment this season and I believe that is with good reason. This happy color looks good on so many skin tones as its hue is easily adjustable to fit with your personal color story that flatters you best. It also signals positive messages to our brain that make us feel a sense of joy whenever we envision it.

Here I've chosen a variety of pieces with which you can build several different looks to suit your needs. I know for me, I love a pretty sundress as it easily drapes across the body while enhancing one's curves in the loveliest ways possible. They are easy to wear and you can simply dress them up or down according to where it is you wish to go whilst wearing them.

Another item I can never stop donning during summer are smart, tailored shorts. Unlike some of the styles that are known for being less than desirable, these are beautifully designed to flatter and always look effortlessly polished. Classic tops as well as those with a bit more whimsy round out the outfit in a way that best suits your style and look you are going for. Introducing autumn and the four most spectacular months of year in my book. September through December also known as "The -Bers" are home to some of the most memory-making, awe-inspiring and magical moments of the year. From wholesome activities like orchard visits and Sunday baking to leaf-peeping and holidays at home there are so many reasons I cherish this season.

Designing ways to style my favorite pieces throughout autumn is another fun facet of it all as I always delight in finding beautiful ways to express myself through my pairings and pieces. While the calendar may not note it just yet, there seems to be no denying that there is a longing for spring making its presence known. The slightly longer days, glimpses of snowdrops peeking up through a softly retreating cover of snow and the warmth of late winter sunshine feeding the soul, all signs point to the coming transitions.

Today's look is a nod to all of that. Smokey sage, rich browns and black embers blend together to seamlessly create a timeless look inspired by the autumn outdoors. Lovely autumn has officially arrived bringing with her tons of fresh-takes and new, inspiring ways to style daily looks for the new season. Chunky knits are a must-have for me whenever the weather starts to turn a bit cooler. Whether it's a vest for layering, a roomy jumper or well-fitted black dress, I'm always reaching for these pieces this time of year.

Fabrics are always dead giveaways of the season at hand and alongside these knits is another much-loved choice of leather. No longer reserved only for the Moto jacket, leather comes in all shapes and sizes. From midi skirts that highlight the figure to easy-to-style pants and trousers, leather pieces are showing up just about everywhere this season.

The perfect accessory is one that I think we are all reaching for. But, for me, it's really the items that best round out your wardrobe and easily work with the items you feel best wearing, that are the smartest ones to invest in as the season starts. If for you, that means a roomy luxe tote bag to caring along with you while taking the train or perhaps a great pair of sunglasses that compliment both your face shape and the colors and styles you most often wear, then that should be where you invest your money when it comes to these important extras.

With the crisp turn of the page, September is here and I find myself completely refreshed, energized and eager to greet all the fantastic opportunities waiting ahead. The final four months of the year are by far my absolute favorites. From the change in the weather, to the endless array of autumn-inspired activities this time of the year holds, I find that I can never get enough and just want to celebrate all season. There's that and the endless array of clothing options that present themselves in the most gorgeous of ways. I'll be sharing my favorite pieces and the various ways to wear them with you throughout the coming weeks ahead.

For today, I've put together some pieces that I'm currently loving and that can be easily paired to create quite a few September-ready looks you'll enjoy. First up is the classic tan trench. I love this piece for so many reasons. Mainly, because it works easily for both workwear and casual looks like the ones you see here. And while you can easily pair it with nearly any color, I

think it perhaps works most effortlessly, and therefore beautifully, with neutral tones.

Black pieces are always in season but seemingly more so during the autumn and winter months. I like to give a nod to that by choosing a style that is temperature appropriate while still reflecting the season ahead. These leather shorts do just that. I love them styled with a smart white button down or a fitted top like this one here. The bit of gold detailing at the top adds the ideal amount of interest, elevating the look a little beyond the day to day.

Closet staples like stripes and well-fitting denim are year-round must-haves alongside some updated ballet flats. A gorgeous camel bag is always on the list for me and now is the perfect time to transition to a lovely suede version like this one. Gold jewelry and a nice pair of sunglasses that complement your face-shape make up the simple ways to round out the look while adding the final polished touches.

Hello and happy August! I like to think of it as the golden hour of summer as we get ready to welcome the new season while savoring the sweet sensations of this one. Today's look captures that with its warm tones and spiced hues. I love neutrals and never tire of the many ways to wear them throughout all months mom the year.

Here I have built a simple yet sophisticated look using wardrobe basics you likely already own. Cream trousers are an easy way to start. This pair has a nice flow and flattering silhouette that will work on nearly all body shapes and sizes. Personally, I really enjoy wearing anything high waisted as I feel it provides a lot of shape and the right type of structure to whatever it is I am wearing....and it's ultra feminine.

Late summer always arouses the sweet girl in me even if it comes in the form of a sleeveless sweater vest like the one seen here. I love the cocoa bean color paired with the ivory tone of the trousers. Not only do they effortlessly complement one another, they also capture the transitional feel of the season by speaking to those tones coming up that will be a bit deeper and rich in their value.

Gold and tan accessories are all I feel are needed to complete the look. Today I'm reaching for some classic gold hoops, my favorite Celine sunglasses in tortoise shell, a metal watch and some tan and gold tone hardware sandals. Finally, this gorgeous leather trimmed tote pulls the entire look together while giving it the just-right bit of casual elegance that I love.

With that in mind, I've gone ahead and put together for you a snapshot of the bits I personally will be packing on those summer trips I've got planned. If you've been here for a minute, then you likely already know that I am fan of all things neutral through and through. And while peeks of color here and there can certainly be entertaining and fun, for me there's nothing quite like the versatility that classic, calm colors afford you when it comes to styling multiple looks from minimal pieces.

Let get started with the basics of what I'm loving here, which include a great pair of trousers. They are quite honestly the one piece that I find I can't live without all year long. This ivory colored pair works so effortlessly well with nearly everything I own. For holiday, I love them worn with a tonal waistcoat. This draws the eye from head to toe with ease and results in a very flattering look for most silhouettes and body types.

A classic button down shirt is another must-have for me and in summer, it can work so well with everything from shorts to maxi-dresses. The versatility and options are endless. Vacation date nights are the perfect time for those sexy summer dresses we all love to wear. I'm stepping a bit outside the box with this one. You may know that I'm not a big fan of prints but stripes are something I will incorporate into my closet from time to time. In summer, there's none better than the black or navy and cream stripe combo. I love it done in this version of the slip dress. It's classy yet quite unexpected and will work so well for dinner, drinks and whatever other evening fun you will be having.

Well hello, summer! The change of seasons is always just so exciting for so many reasons not the least of which being a newly update capsule set designed to take us through the latest months. This turn of the page highlights summer and the lovely warm weather ahead.

With that in mind, I've gone ahead and selected a few simple, core pieces that I plan on reaching for a lot in the coming weeks. Let's get things going a bit now with this top and bottom. The beauty of it, however, is how you can just as easily style it with some smart trousers, cropped white denim or a pair of linen shorts. Cost per wear really speaks for itself on this one, making it a must-have for my wardrobe rotation at the minute.

Tonal looks are still quite big for me as we speak. Most likely because they lend such a sense of purpose and cohesiveness to a look without being fussy or uncomfortable. This linen skirt ticks all the boxes with its versatility and ease of wear. I love it paired with this particular top and the way it cleanly draws the eye from top to bottom. These dad sandals keep that flow going while lending a bit of contrast and interest to the look with their somewhat masculine feel.

A few classic accessories like this straw Loewe bag, sunglasses and some understated gold earrings really work to elevate the entire outfit and take it from good to great. SAINT TROPEZ INSPIRED

It's almost summer and I find myself getting swept up in visions of a European holiday surrounded by seaside villages and breathtaking beaches. And while I'm not quite there just yet, why not curate a look inspired by vision?

All white is somewhat of an iconic choice when it comes to holiday style. But with so many extensive ways to wear it, the possibilities are quite endless. For this look here, I've decide to go for a slightly more elevated while still being summer forward inspired by Lydia Tomlinson for NA-KD fashion.

A white maxi skirt is always a good choice and must-have staple for me it seems. This version is one of the (what feels like millions) of style options available at the minute. I've paired it with an equally billowy white square neck top that so effortlessly complements the skirt below it. This look is easy and achievable whether your strolling the streets or heading to a romantic dinner. It simply works.

I chose to keep the look simple by styling it with some classic tan slide sandals, a gorgeous leather handbag and a pair of tortoise shell sunglasses to round it all out. Some pretty gold earrings really lend a lovely bit of polish to the whole thing especially if you're wearing a sleek low bun.

So, that is my latest take on how to style summer at the minute. Easy, elegant and versatile enough to suit almost any occasion. WHAT I WORE

While we had a tease of overly warm weather earlier this month, spring has gone back to its unpredictable pattern and with it comes those slightly cooler days where you're reaching for a layer of warmth while trying to look season forward. With all that in mind, I've created today's look featuring some spring-friendly layers that you can peel back or put depend depend upon the mood of the day.

I'm sure you're already quite familiar with the fact that this skirt seems to be everywhere at the minute. And while I generally don't gravitate towards fads of the minute, I do think that this is worth considering as despite being rather popular right now, it is also a staple item that I think you will get a lot of use out of now as well as many seasons to come.

Available in several colors, today I'm reaching for the white color way to help propel the look into the warmer season. And much like so many of the pieces we are all wearing at the minute, layering is key. A nice, well-fitting tank top will work especially well for this without having to give it very much thought. I settled on the black option and opted to pair it with this (suddenly showing up everywhere!) black bomber jacket. I do enjoy a bit of a monochromatic look from time to time and these two pieces fit the bill on top.

I later choose these MaryJane style ballet flats also in black to give the look a cohesive feel as it leads your eye to travel from top to bottom. A couple neutral accessories and bits of gold round out the entire outfit while creating the perfect spring look to take you just about anywhere you may want to go.

SPRING UNIFORM

Spring styling is hitting its stride with anticipation of warmer days ahead. For some of us though, a new season can cause some undue stress when it comes to deciding what to wear. Today's post solves that dilemma with some classic pieces and unexpected pairings that lead to a variety of wearable options.

Perhaps the most sought after item shown here is the very popular denim maxi skirt. This piece is such an iconic staple that has been long worn throughout the years and even decades. Still, new lengths and shapes give it a new sense of purpose while really freshening it up quite a bit.

I've styled mine with some other equally classic springtime pieces that work so effortlessly well to put and pull the look together. The basic white t-shirt will forever be in style in my eyes. This one offers a bit of shape by flattering waistline and shoulders. It could also be easily worn with a nice pair of denim jeans or a pair of summery linen trousers.

A trenchcoat is a must-have for me for three out of four seasons of the year. Classic tan is my go-to pick most days but I have also seen some really smart black, khaki and navy options as well. This pair of Sambas are on repeat for me and somehow they seem to work quite well with so much of what I'm wearing. Here they lend a casual yet updated feel to the outfit and make it so easy to wear.

Finally, a timeless handbag will never lead you astray and this one has all the qualities a look for in a great bag. From size to shape to color, it really just checks all the boxes.
