Video services help job seeker separate from the bunch

An out of work Human Resource Executive recently contacted Chicago Producers video department to assist with a unique presentation. Director of Video Services for Chicago Producers, Bill Vala explains how this video project came to be; "our client contacted us with an unusual idea - he wanted to make a Video Resume. We filmed him against a green screen at our downtown video recording studio on Wednesday April 1st. No April fools here.”

After digitizing the video, Chicago Producers editors chose the best segments from each of the views - full body and talking head. Next the green background was removed and a simple white and black background put in its place. An online preview was sent to the client for revisions or approval. The client approved the video on April 6th, "I thought it was very good. I did not want to come across like an actor. Sometimes being perfect is too smooth.Please call me so we can talk about our next step."

The next step was to Author the DVD and duplicate 50 copies with printing on the disc face. Our one-stop shop capabilities allowed us to turn around this project very quickly without outsourcing any part. Within 6 business days by April 9th the client had received all 50 discs and was very pleased. “Bill, the package came as you said yesterday. All I can say is this whole process starting from my first call to you to the end was wonderful. Looking for work is difficult. I hope this will give me the edge I need. I’m so proud of this video and your team. I could not ask for any more. Great work! I wish you and your company the very best.”

New Photos & Website for Chicago Law Firm, Fisher Kanaris

Chicago Law Firm Fisher Kanaris hired Chicago Producers to re-design www.fisherkanaris.com and produce original photography of their downtown Chicago office and staff. Chicago Producers started by setting up a studio on-location to capture interior and exterior photographs of the Fisher Kanaris workspace to be used on the website. Chicago Producers photographers also shot professional looking headshots of all of the Fisher Kanaris legal staff for use on the “Our Attorneys” page of the site. Chicago Producers Graphic Design and Web Solutions departments worked together to produce a website with elevated sophistication and ease of use.

Thank you Chicago Producers, Inc. for showing that you believe in our students and for your time and determination to uplift the education of our deserving students. The 800 videos that you produced for our students will enable them to deepen their understanding of math and create a new love for this subject. I am sure that your contribution will have a great impact on our school and will help it to remain open!

At O’Keefe Elementary School, located in the South Shore Community at 6940 South Merrill, we are working hard to educate the future leaders of our country. Most of our students come from single-family homes, are low income and many have been displaced from other communities due to the rapid gentrification occurring in our great city. Also, many of them are homeless and face hardships at home such as hunger or even having parents who are unavailable because they have to work long hours to make ends meet.

Despite hardships in the home and community, our students have a passion for learning. At O’Keefe, we have strived to provide students with above-average educational experiences because we believe in them despite most of them being low income. We even offer a gifted program and over 35 academic and sports clubs including a division of the Sea Scouts, in which we teach teenagers how to sail (we have placed in Venetian Night for two years straight). With all that we strive to do, our students still suffer from poverty, crime in the community and other societal ills. Therefore, many of them are unable to perform at their highest potential.

Lollapalooza 2008

Lollapalooza rolled into town once again this past weekend. This year, we were tapped by Lollapalooza to work alongside their team of photographers on the ground to help produce amazing and memorable imagery from this year’s festival for posting on the festival’s official Web site and for other potential future use. We assisted with photo selection, image retouching/enhancement and processing of the photos that came in a steady stream all weekend.

All in all it was a great experience. We would like to thank Lollapalooza for the opportunity and look forward to next year’s festival.

Chicago Producers Locked-Up for the Chicago Muscular Dystrophy Association

The WestEnd in Chicago played host to community and business leaders participating in the River West Most Wanted Lock-Up on March 12, 2008. These individuals, served with warrants for their "big hearts", agreed to be incarcerated for one hour while working to raise their $1300 bail to benefit the Chicago MDA.

This one day event raised more than $26,000 for the MDA. Gina Iorio, Program Coordinator, said "These jailbirds were awesome. Their hearts are huge and they used their time in ‘jail’ to do so much good."

When asked to reflect on the Lock-Up, the entire staff of the Chicago MDA wanted to express their thanks and gratitude to all of the community leaders and local business professionals that took time out of their schedules to be "locked up". Says ‘Parole Officers’ Emily Niles and Erin Brown, "The entire Muscular Dystrophy Association and the families we serve are very thankful for each jailbird’s participation in the event."

The funds raised at the event will be used to benefit thousands of families in the Chicago area with neuromuscular diseases. This money will allow those with muscular dystrophy to go to our various MDA clinics across Chicagoland, provide funds for support group sessions, send children with MD to summer camp, and fund vital research. MDA is leading the way in the research for neuromuscular diseases, and with the help of people, such as the "jailbirds" they hope to seek the causes of and effective treatments for muscular dystrophy.

Chicago Producers president Bill Vala was served a warrant for his arrest for having a big heart. "I was pleased to be able to help with the fund raising and elated to have reached my personal goal of $1300. The MDA needs our help and I am humbled to do my part for the cause."

Bank of America - LaSalle Bank trusts Chicago Producers professional photographers to capture Shamrock Shuffle

Bank of America - LaSalle Bank hired Chicago Producers professional photographers to document the 2008 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K. Bank of America - LaSalle Bank tasked Chicago Producers with capturing high resolution photos of all facets of the race including sponsor signage, start line, runners and spectators on course, hospitality tents and the official race finish

Chicago Producers stationed 4 professional photographers at strategic points on the course in order to capture the best angles. Successfully capturing the start of the race and both the male and female winners crossing the finish line.
