I'm certain I am not the only one whom used to LOVE buying hard candy nail polish as a kid. Well, so I didn't buy them per se, but I would beg my parents until we finally went down to the mall to stop my incessant whining. Each bottle of Hard Candy nail polish came with a ring wrapped around the top of the bottle. These were more than just rings, but symbols that showed the rest of school how stylish or hip you were.

I think back then it was $12 each bottle of polish, but it was well worth every penny. Sadly though, Hard Candy will be closing their doors for good.

The time is winding down and the store opening is just around the corner. I am certain everyone is just excited as I am to see the grand opening of www.SortingwithStyle.com.

San Francisco International Gift Fair - THE big day.

Today was the big day where a friend and I traveled on over to the Moscone Center to see the San Francisco International Gift Fair. I must say my suspicions were correct and there is not much over there either. Well, let me correct myself here a minute...there IS a lot of stuff, however, not many finds for me. It is quite different form the Atlanta Gift Show, and a lot less crowded.

So I am already in SF for the 2008 San Francisco International Gift Fair. Tomorrow is the big day and I cannot wait to scope out new designers!

I arrived earlier today and headed to the San Francisco Gift Mart to see what I could find before the show...if anything at all. Now, during my trip to Atlanta I spoke with a designer who briefly mentioned to me that the SF mart is going downhill. I was thinking perhaps since I am new to it all I wouldn't notice and perhaps he was exaggeratiing a bit(wishful thinking). As it turns out, he was totally right. The mart is tiny compared to Atlanta and almost every floor and showroom is vacant except for the 5th floor. It was a dead zone and it looked quite depressing.

I am hoping the actual show tomorrow will have a much better turn out and will feature at least a few lines I can take home with me.

On the plus side of this all, I did find a GREAT line that I will show everyone a sneak peak of what will be available on the store. Stay tuned for a quick post...

I recently came upon this new web browser, Flock, which completely blew me away. Keep in mind I haven't even begun to dig deep into what this amazing(and pretty in pink) browser can do.

Mainly a fashion oriented browser, it also features new ways to blog...like blogging off line. I know I am new to the blogging world so bare with me if that totally blew me away. Flock.com even has videos online of how to use their MANY features to your advantage.

Think a coliseum from the gladiator meets fashion and gifts. I know I am a newbie in this wide world of retail, but the mart was beyond a bit overwhelming. As soon as I parked($25 for event parking might I add) I went straight to the information desk so that I don't get completely lost.&nbsp; I told the nice lady what I was here for, what kind of store I have etc., and with a polite nod circled the map from floors,10-18, and floors 4-6 in another building. Yes, each and every floor, and each and every showroom just to be sure I don't miss anyone.<br /><br />Oh yea, forgot to mention, there are THREE buildings that make up the Atlanta Mart and I think they are expanding.
