DEA Waging War On The Synthetic Marijuana Market They Created

I find it ironic that the Drug Enforcement Administration is now moving to ban the sale and distribution of synthetic marijuana products imported into the United States from China and India.

When Ronald Regan declared his "war on drugs" he commited federal and local law enforcement agencies with the reckless and impossible task of trying to eradicate marijuana from the United States.

The bottom line is that if marijuana was legalized as a controlled substance like alcohol and tobacco, there wouldn't be any need for synthitic pot. There's an old saying that people who fail to remember history, are destened to repeat it and that's exactly what is happening.

When alcohol was prohibited in the United States, it didn't go away. It just came back on the black market, but in a much more dangerous form with catchy names like Moon Shine and White Lightening. In addition to leaving people blind and in full blown kidney failure, prohibition also created a huge criminal underground that still exists to this very day.

So here we are again with the conservative and religious right in this country trying to assert their moral values on responsible adults who care to smoke marijuana. As a result of the their full on assult on natural marijuana, we now have a far more dangerous form of synthetic marijuana with catchy names like Spice, K2, and Klimax.

Now the Department of Justice has managed to have Spice, and K2 listed as a Schedule 1 narcotic. This has only come about due to the alarming number of emergency room visits connected to synthetic weed. Yet they fail to recognize that the prevalance of one is a direct result of a senseless ban on the other.

According to CNN, the most common negative reactions to the drug are vomiting, anxiety, hallucinations, seizures, high blood pressure, or loss of consciousness. The ban has been in the works since at least last year around this time, when the Village Voice's Runnin' Scared reported that while an overdose of real marijuana would never be fatal, one of the fake weed not only can be, but has been.

So, what's really going on here? - Well the DEA is now waging a war on the synthitic marijuana market that they created. DO YOU GET IT? - More tax payer dollars to launch a new war on synthetic pot while continuing their ongoing war on natural pot. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Glenn Beck Is About To Blow The Lid Off Another Government Conspiracy.

Does anyone remember the last time that Glenn Beck was going to blow the lid off the corruption in the Obama administration. How he warned that "Something is very wrong and the future of the republic is at stake" How his claims of conspiracy was no longer a theory and how shamed Congressman Erik Massa was going to help him do it during special edition of the Glenn Beck show?

Well, now Beck is at it again and now he is going to blow the lid off another conspiracy if the government doesn't come clean about their cover up of the Boston bombing's ties to a Saudi national. The similarties between Becks rhetoric in both of these clips is as amusing as it is scarry.

Lets set aside all of the explosives, pressure cookers, hand grenades and other weapons of mass destruction for now. How did the Boston Bombing Brothers acquire the firearms and ammuntion they used to shoot it out with law enforcement overnight and murder 26-year old police officer Sean Collier on the campus of MIT? - That's a question that has yet to approached by the cable news media and believe-you-me, I've been watching.

Could the elder of the brothers have walked into a gun store and purchased them legally? - I suppose. However, I think it is highly doubtful and as a proponant of universal background checks, I hope they purchased them at a gun show or in some other questionable manner with nothing more than a wink and a smile.

I am not against assult weapons or any other type of weapon for that matter. I just think that if purchasing and owning a vehicle in this country requires registering it with the Department of Motor Vehicles, maybe purchasing and owning a fire arm should require registering it with the Department of Justice or the ATF without exception.

Law enforcement officials identified the suspect still on the loose as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass. His brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was identified as the man killed during an encounter with police after an armed carjacking of a Mercedes SUV in Cambridge. The brothers’ alleged motive in Monday’s bombings remains unclear, but in the last several months, Tamerlan Tsarnaev had posted videos to YouTube indicating his interest in radical Muslim ideologies.

So, can you guess how the Boston Bombing Brothers acquired thier firearms? - Without a doubt we will eventually find out, but I am just surprised that as of yet, the media has yet to even ask the question. What's your guess? - How did they get the guns and will the one remaining terrorist, Dzhokar Tsarnaev be taken alive?

The moms have issued yet another call-to-action on their website over KMarts new commercial where the ad is based on the slogan "I shipped my pants." which of course is a double entendre of the word shit.

"The entire commercial's dialogue has various people saying ship or shipped instead of the s-word, including a family, a child, a Kmart employee, a senior citizen couple and other customers shopping in the store. Kmart should be more responsible in their marketing decisions. Let them know that as a parent and a consumer you are offended. Please send Kmart an email letter requesting they cancel their new "Ship my pants" commercial immediately!"

Inox Pressure Cooker Used In Boston Marathon Bombing

It always seems to be the smallest piece of evidence that undose these crazy bombers. Like in the case of the Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad who was so sloppy, he may as well have left his drivers licence on the front seat of his failed truck bomb.

The photo below obtained by CNN showed the remains of a pressure cooker found at the scene, along with a shredded black backpack and what appear to be metal pellets or ball bearings. A federal law enforcement source told CNN the photos were included in a bulletin sent to federal law enforcement agencies.

The pieces recovered so far suggest the devices, which were identical, could carry 6 liters (1.5 gallons) of liquid apiece, a Boston law enforcement source said. The parts found include a partial circuit board, which would be used to detonate a device.

When I first saw the photo of a fragment of the pressure cooker, I was drawn to the "INOX" lettering that was ingraved on the metal fragment. Just by GOOGLING inox, I was quickly able to track the pressure cooker to INOX Professional Kitcheware and the sole pressure cooker that they offer for sale under the Cuisinox brand name. I suppose that the bomber(s) thought it too risky to just buy a common pressure cooker from Wal-Mart or some place like that.

Nevertheless, investigators are now combing through a digital mountain of photos and video clips and are asking the public for help in finding who planted these pressure cooker bombs at two points on Boylston Street.

"Someone knows who did this," said Rick DesLauriers, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Boston office. "Cooperation from the community will play a crucial role in this investigation."

I think when the general public can track down the actual pressure cooker used in this attack on GOOGLE from a small photo, it's not going to take long for the FBI to put the rest of the pieces of this puzzle together and make an arrest.

Daily Caller Suggest Gen. Patraeus Now Involved In Love Triangle

I'm sure I wasn't the only person surprised by a Daily Caller article titled: Espionage à Trois - Military liason Jill Kelley revealed as thrid woman in Patreaus love triangle.

Now, what other conclusion can the reader draw from the title of the Daily Caller piece other than Gen. Patreaus being involved in a three-way sexual encounter with his wife, his mistress Paula Broadwell, and apprently now Jill Kelley. The blogger whom wrote the post describes the Patreaus situation as a "scandal that continues to read more and more like a Lifetime made-for-TV movie" and that the woman who sounded the alarm that led to the resignation of former CIA Director David Petraeus has been identified as a volunteer State Department military liaison.

I kept reading in anticipation of the story title living up to it's claim, but found nothing to support it's bold implication. No big surprise. Instead, here is the jist of what the Daily Caller piece had to say about Ms. Kelley.

Jill Kelley, reportedly a close friend of Petraeus, alerted the FBI when she received harassing emails from Petraeus’ mistress, his biographer Paula Broadwell, the Associated Press revealed Sunday.

“We and our family have been friends with Gen. Petraeus and his family for over five years. We respect his and his family’s privacy and want the same for us and our three children,” Kelley said in a statement reported by ABC News.

A close friend of Petraeus told ABC that Kelley, 37, and her husband befriended the retired four-star general when he was stationed in Florida. The source speculated that there was never a romantic relationship between Kelley and Petraeus.

AP sources added that Kelley and her husband were longtime friends with both Petraeus and his wife, Holly, frequently attending events at Central Command headquarters when Petraeus was combatant commander there.

But Broadwell appeared to believe Petraeus’ relationship with Kelley was more intimate. She reportedly sent threatening emails to Kelley warning her to “stay away from” the now former CIA director and telling her, “I know what you did.”

In a letter to CIA employees announcing his resignation, Petraeus expressed regret for the affair, which reportedly began in August 2011 and ended four months ago.

“After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organization such as ours,” he wrote.

President Barack Obama accepted his resignation Friday.

As I said. I'm sure I'm not the only one surprised by the title of the Daily Caller piece, but is anyone surprised by the lack of editorial integrity? - - - anyone? - - - anyone at all.....

We won our first marriage equality ballot initiatives -- in fact, winning all four of them: in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington State. We elected our first openly gay or lesbian member of the U.S. Senate, a club historically restricted unlike any other in Washington. We added new openly gay members of the House of Representatives. (I am particularly proud of my friend Sean Maloney, who I worked with in the Clinton White House, who beat a one-term incumbent tea party-er, who had no business representing the people of her district in the first place.)

Hundreds Of Marijuana Cases Dismissed In Washington State

Following the successful passage of a state referendum legalizing small amounts of marijuana for recreational use, two county prosecutors in Washington state have dismissed hundreds of misdemeanor marijuana cases. Although, the effective date of the referendum is not until December 6, the prosecutors used their discretion to apply the new rule retroactively.

The move underscores how, even though marijuana possession remains illegal under federal law, state initiatives legalizing possession for recreational use in Washington and Colorado could have far-reaching consequences. As a practical matter, virtually all arrests and prosecutions for marijuana possession occur at the state level.

The Department of Justice could sue to block enforcement of the law. Thus far, the federal government has not indicated if they will directly challenge Colorado and Washington.

In 2010, over 750,000 people in the United States were charged with possession of marijuana only. Could marijuana decriminalization laws such as this signal the beginning of the end of the war on weed?

Republicans Got Too High On The Fox News Supply

Republicans have spent the past week somewhat disoriented by the stunning defeat of Repubican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney. With the fog of Obama Derangment Syndrome starting to disipate, it should be no surprise that Fox News is still working hard at selling the false narrative that Barack Obama is the worst president EVER!

From the pre-dawn hours of Fox & Friends until Greg Gutfeld signs off in the middle of the night, Fox News has fed it's followers an unhealthy diet of half truthes, flat-out lies, and cleaver propaganda. And they've done so in a harmetically sealed bubble disconnected from the world and reality. Therein lies the problem. In the process of creating the news, Fox News talking heads, commentators, and stratigist starting relying on it as a barometer for the 2012 electorate. BIG MISTAKE! - Any pusher will tell you the pitfalls of getting high on your own supply.

Not only was Fox News unable to prevent the first African-American from becoming President of The United States, they also failed in keeping him from being re-elected. In an interview that appeared in the National Journal on Oct. 23, 2010 — nearly two years after Obama was elected president. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) Ky. said "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president. A combination of big money and big propaganda was supposed to carry the day for Romney and the Republicans, but it didn't.

While Republicans continue to play a game of post election finger pointing, it's becoming obvious that Fox News owns a substantial portion of the blame. They have over played their hand and their propaganda model may have simply run it's course. It's not that Fox News is going anywhere, it's just that they are going to have to dial down the crazy talk a few thousand notches in order to be successful.

The widely criticized video below, which the hosts of the show advertised as taking a "look back" at President Obama's four years in office, could easily be mistaken for a Republican attack ad. It was aired multiple times throughout the show.

"We decided to take a look back at the president's first term to see if it lived up to hope and change," host Gretchen Carlson said before introducing the video.

In the video —which is labeled as a "Fox and Friends Presents" production — viewers see images of Obama talking about jobs contrasted with footage of homeless people. There is dark, foreboding music, and statistics about the unemployment rate, the rise in the number of food stamps, and the national debt, among other things. Carlson heaped lavish praise on the producer of the video saying that it had taken a "tremendous amount of research" to put together.

While Fox News may be the "most watched" channel in cable news, I wish someone in the non-partisan polling business would drill down that claim a bit further. For the exception of Fox News, I'm sure many would be like to know exactly how many people watch Fox as a legitimate source for news and information, and how many watch for it's "entertainment" value.

The 2014 mid-term election will be here before we know it and we shall see if Fox News tones down the crazy talk or continues to slather it on layer-upon-layer? - If the question is: How in the world did the Romney campaign, Fox News, and Republicans in congress fail at making Barack Obama a one-term president, I would put it in a nutshell for them like this.

Ann Romney Cries As Mitt Calls President Obama

Mitt Romney's campaign got its first hint something was wrong on the afternoon of Election Day, when state campaign workers on the ground began reporting huge turnout in areas favorable to President Obama: northeastern Ohio, northern Virginia, central Florida and Miami-Dade.

Then came the early exit polls that also were favorable to the president.

But it wasn't until the polls closed that concern turned into alarm. They expected North Carolina to be called early. It wasn't. They expected Pennsylvania to be up in the air all night; it went early for the President.

After Ohio went for Mr. Obama, it was over, but senior advisers say no one could process it.

"We went into the evening confident we had a good path to victory," said one senior adviser. "I don't think there was one person who saw this coming."

But then came Colorado for the president and Florida also was looking tougher than anyone had imagined.

"We just felt, 'where's our path?'" said a senior adviser. "There wasn't one."

Romney then said what they knew: it was over.

His personal assistant, Garrett Jackson, called his counterpart on Mr. Obama's staff, Marvin Nicholson. "Is your boss available?" Jackson asked.

Romney was stoic as he talked to the president, an aide said, but his wife Ann cried. Running mate Paul Ryan seemed genuinely shocked, the adviser said. Ryan's wife Janna also was shaken and cried softly.

"There's nothing worse than when you think you're going to win, and you don't," said another adviser. "It was like a sucker punch."

Their emotion was visible on their faces when they walked on stage after Romney finished his remarks, which Romney had hastily composed, knowing he had to say something.

Both wives looked stricken, and Ryan himself seemed grim. They all were thrust on that stage without understanding what had just happened.

"He was shellshocked," one adviser said of Romney.

Romney and his campaign had gone into the evening confident they had a good path to victory, for emotional and intellectual reasons. The huge and enthusiastic crowds in swing state after swing state in recent weeks - not only for Romney but also for Paul Ryan - bolstered what they believed intellectually: that Obama would not get the kind of turnout he had in 2008.

They thought intensity and enthusiasm were on their side this time - poll after poll showed Republicans were more motivated to vote than Democrats - and that would translate into votes for Romney.

2 Police Dogs Dead After Deputy Leaves Them In Hot SUV, Overnight!

A Bexar County Sheriff's deputy was placed on administrative leave this week after the two police dogs he cared for were left inside a sweltering county vehicle overnight, killing them, authorities said.

Sheriff's Deputy Steve Benoy, who has been with the office for 23 years, is on a 10-day leave while the department investigates the deaths of the two Belgian Malinois. Although authorities said they believe the dogs suffered from apparent heat exhaustion, Animal Care Services is conducting a necropsy.

According to Deputy Chief Ronald “Dale” Bennett, Benoy drove the dogs to his Adkins home, 23 miles east of San Antonio, after he got off work around 2 p.m. Tuesday, just like he did every day.

“He had a routine,” Bennett said.

But Benoy then left town for the night. When he returned home Wednesday, the dogs weren't where he usually keeps them when at home, Bennett said.

The public realtions debacle at Chick-fil-A caused by CEO Dan Cathy has taken a dark turn today by
Donald A. Perry, the vice president of corporate public relations for Chick-fil-A, dropping dead of a heart attack. If Mr. Cathy ever stopped to ponder his biblical wisdom as to WWJD. I think he just found out.
"Don was a member of our Chick-fil-A family for nearly 29 years," a company statement published in the Atlanta Journal Constitution read. "He was a well-respected and well-liked media executive in the Atlanta and University of Georgia communities, and we will all miss him."

News of Perry's death, which was picked up by a number of high-profile media outlets, immediately generated heated debate on Twitter, perhaps not surprisingly given Chick-fil-A's proclaimed anti-gay marriage stance, which has been the subject of countless headlines in recent weeks. "Okay, Chick-fil-A protesters, you win," wrote one user. "You killed their head of PR. They're for gay marriage now."

No doubt Perry was aware of what has become a public relations debacle for the Atlanta-based fast food chain, with both marriage equality supporters and opponents responding to the news in equal measure. In fact, he is credited at having released the company's Facebook statement in response to Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy's remark that the fast food company supports "the biblical definition of the family unit."
