It was a great week to work and play at McDonald's. They trained, served, made burgers, and painted. They even practice for their Graduation Song and Dance numbers. They ate snacks for free! ;-D The four days went by so fast.

Review and Swatches: Innisfree Mineral Melting Foundation with Swirls

Annyeong! ^_^ I'm finally back with a ~~Lee Min Ho~~ Seoul-ful post. I reckon I have to do it before I finish it off.

How much do I love this Innisfree Melting Foundation? So much, it shows...almost done! ^_^

Innisfree Mineral Melting Foundation with SPF 32 PA++. Got it last December at Innisfree Insadong.

It has pink swirls. I have the Innisfree Melting Mineral Foundation Season 2. The difference is the swirls. It looks more like the latest Innisfree Melting Mineral Foundation Season 3 except that one comes with a Glow description, while this one comes a swirly picture. But just the same, the season 2 comes in white, while similar with the Season 3 Glow, this comes in a peachy compact.

This comes with the same white/blue puff that is absolutely the next best thing after a BeautyBlender. Read more about it on my Innisfree Melting Foundation Season 1 post.

This time around, I'm actually shade W2 (warm skin tones) as per the Innisfree lady.

To me, it's just beige than pinkish (but of course...compare to Shade C2). Please note though, that these swatches are just taken recently when most of the pink swirls are already blended kinda well. But that's the idea anyhow.

Before. On me after (2nd and 3rd). I'm having some breakouts, so if you zoom it in, you'll see some redness here and there, but generally, except for some discolorations (okay...age spots), I'm fairly alright! But of course, all thanks to my Innisfree-laden Skin Care routine! ^_^ Coverage is light to medium coverage.

First off, no breakouts. Shade is fitting - love! Doesn't cake, blends beautifully, and finishes well even on some dry areas (I use Beautyblender ^_^). This "melts" more, and if you want to build coverage to medium, you tend to use more. Finish is light, smooth, flawless even, dewy - love! But would still prefer to set it. Overall, I love it very much, it saddens me that I'm almost out of it. Aww...absolutely must go to Seoul soon! ^_^ Pretty please Innisfree, come here, and please bring @ActorLeeMinHo along! Cheers! Mother's Day Weekend

I'm disappointed that I didn't get to vote yesterday. I'm registered in my beloved hometown, Angeles City, but we didn't go home since hubby was not feeling well, and our Ate Jane has chickenpox. Hah. I had mine when I was a little, and so did hubby. Thankfully, Chase got vaccinated just recently with MMRV, which offers protection against measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. But still on the side of caution, we try to keep her in her room. Well, anyhow, you get an idea on how my weekend went. It's spent mostly at home. ^_^

Few days before the Mother's Day, hubby gifted me Torta Delos Reyes, which is truly the Ultimate Sansrival ever. It's by The Aristocrat Bakeshop. Seriously delicious! Gone in 24 hours! ;-D #MustTry #SugarRush

Friday, May 10, 2013 -- Kicking off our long weekend with a date night at Shangri-la Plaza Mall. The East Wing of the mall is partially opened. It houses Texas Roadhouse Grill. I only took a couple of photos since my phone was out of battery already. We had to eat very very fast since we had a movie to watch.

My 7-yr old son ultimate favorite dish, Country-Style Burger Steak. It's nicer (although more pricey) than Holy Cow's. So we'll definitely go back for it. Hubby ordered Flat Iron Steak, while I got seafood pasta in marinara sauce ( I forgot the exact name in the Menu), and ordered Cowboy Chocolate Cake for dessert.

And we finally saw Iron Man 3!!! Yay! Better late than sorry!

Saturday, May 11, 2013 -- I was not feeling well! And hypochondria kicked in, oh well, so I had to stay at home in the morning. Until hubby ~~threatened~~ insisted to send me to the ER. I relaxed and told him that I'll give it a few more days. So we went to the mall! I was supposed to get my gift, a pair of FitFlop Due Ballerina Flats, but I'm still deliberating between Michael Kors and FitFlop ballet flats. So I'm delaying shopping for now. Anyhow, it's the thought that counts. Thank you Hon! ^_^

You ought to know that I'm addicted to supermarkets! Haha. I love to hoard! We went to Unimart, and finally appreciated how it still remains as one of the favorite shopper's destination. It has good product assortment and range! There's so much to see and to buy! And then we're off to SM Megamall...Ramen Time! ^_^ Also, instead of getting my gift, we bought Chase a basketball hoop.

Chase attended basketball clinics last time (will do a detailed post soon! ^_^), and since being a ~~star~~ good player runs in the family (Believe it or not, I was our High School MVP! ;-D). Naturally, we want Chase to love the game as well. Game on! Oh well, we have to make do with condo living.

Remember that I was feeling ~~hypochondriac~~ sick, I needed a massage and ventosa. For mother's day, I had to stay at home too, since I had to delay my bath time. So it's Candy Crush and iBooks for me. I'm saving Korean Dramas for later. ^_^

Oh my goodness. Level 65 of Candy Crush is so so stressful! I absolutely think that all the relaxation I got from my spa time was all gone! But after several tries, I did it! It's time to wait for the tickets! Haha! I got them! Thank you girlfriends! ^_^

I have yet to build my iBook Collections, since I'm still transitioning from physical to electronic books (see my book shelf here). Since I have an iTunes US account, I can actually download free iBooks like Always You (which is more than nice! ;-D). I'm curious with the City of Bones, which is the first book in the The Mortal Instruments series written by Cassandra Clare. But mostly because there's an upcoming movie of it starring Lily Collins. Also, I find the Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire interesting too. I'm reading the samples, and I might get the full books.

Anyhow more about City of Bones, after reading some review from Goodreads, hmmm...so there's some controversy surrounding the author. Oh well, she's published, and there's a movie adaptation even, so it's either just love her or hate her. I have yet to decide!

Ramen Time: Kichitora of Tokyo in Megamall

Sometime ago I wrote about how much we're craving for ramen, and that same day, we went out to look for the ramen-ya nearest us, and we found it...Kichitora of Tokyo. Oh happy day! It's perfectly located at 2/F Atrium, SM Megamall. We visited not once, but several times already in less than a month's time! Yes, it's that good! It's love at first try! Anyhow, our cravings is further fueled by watching Naruto, (and yes, we're now watching Naruto Shippuden Episode 253, if you're a fan, you would know that it's 400 plus episodes done, and a few more hundreds more to go!) ^_^ Oh well, it means more Ichiraku's Ramen Time, we can't help but be captivated by Naruto's enthusiasm with ramen. Truly, it seems a slurp of ramen soup can warm one's soul. If only they have that secret diet ramen recipe from Ichiraku's Ramen. I'll be slurping ramen all day long. ;-D

Is it ramen time yet? My son, Chase, loves ramen too!

My hubby got the Shoyu (Soy Sauce) Chicken Ramen Php 320 plus Ajitama Half Boiled Egg Php 40. Chase loves to eat the Narutomaki topping. ;-D

Special Miso Chashu Ramen with Ma Oil (Ma-yu) Php 395. This is with the usual vegetables.

For my succeeding visits, we requested that the vegetables (cabbage, onion leeks and bamboo shoots) be on the side.

Additional Topping: Pork Chashu (Grilled Pork) Php 100 per 3 slices. Seriously the tastiest pork chashu ever!

5 Pieces Gyouza can be added to the Shoyu Chicken Ramen as set meal for Php 425

The price and serving size are just about the same as Shin Sen Gumi's (in California). For my Miso Chashu Ramen, I share it with Chase. We prefer to keep the vegetables on the side, so we can enjoy more of the soup. The bowl can get a bit crowded, and the first time I ate the veggies with much gusto, I ended up almost not finishing my bowl because I'm too stuffed. While hubby doesn't eat as much veggies as I do, so his are the side. With this way, we can enjoy the noodles and the soup to our heart's content. If I have enough room, I can eat the bamboo shoots, and the rest of the veggies. The bamboo shoots are nice addition to the experience. Since I keep them on the side, I gradually let a piece or two stay in the soup, and let it absorbs the flavor, and yum!

The noodles are cooked al dente, and just gets more flavorful and tender as you let them ~~swim~~ stay in the rich broth. The soup is really flavorful especially the Miso Chashu ramen's. Its soup is thicker and richer, but not overwhelming. We usually ask extra for clear soup for free. It's good enough to mix with the soup of the Miso Chashu. And still enjoy the flavor. We love, love, love the Chashu or the Roast Pork. I mentioned it's the tastiest pork chashu ever, right? It's cooked to perfection, melts in your mouth. My son can eat so many slices. While I'll have to control myself. Hah. But still we have to order extra. Either eaten by itself, or eaten together with the soup and noodles.

Our pre-Mother's Day date was another trip to Kichitora! ^_^ Hubby ordered Special Miso Chashu Ramen with Ma Oil (Ma-yu), while I tried the rice bowl. #NomNom

Charcoal Grilled Pork Chashu Rice Bowl Php 175 plus Ajitama Half Boiled Egg Php 40. This rice bowl comes with 2 slices of Chashu. I honestly think that this can rival my another favorite Japanese rice bowl, Katsudon. The meat and the sauce plus the egg are more flavorful even without overflowing sauce. Unlike with Katsudon, I need to have overflowing donburi sauce for me to enjoy it to the fullest.

I'm foregoing ramen or ramyun cups for now! *LoL Anyhow, we have yet to visit other ramen-ya, but for now, Kichitora is our ever reliable friendly neigborhood ramen house.

Bonjour! Mabuhay! ^_^ I have to say that the Spiral Buffet, with its 21 Dining Ateliers, is my favorite buffet place ever in Manila! Happy Mother's Day to me! *Ahem! ^_^ Anyhow, during the April 15 press preview, Sofitel Philippine Plaza unveiled of what is to come to the upcoming Mother's Day Celebration. For this year, Sofitel Manila pays tribute to Moms this Mother’s Day happening May 12, 2013, with a fabulous fashion show featuring top celebrity mothers as well as Spiral’s Master Chefs paying homage to their mother’s cooking. The Chefs will be featuring their personal favorites of their mother’s signature dishes. Although, I sadly missed this grand launch, I look forward to my next grand gastronomic feasting at Spiral very soon. Anyhow, I'm delighted to share the event's details.

Executive Chef Eric Costille is presenting his Mom Claudine’s best dish a fusion of French and Italian cooking.

“Rabbit cocotte with rosemary and olives, gratinated parmesan polenta.” Chef Eric Costille explains, “My ancestors came from Italy and migrated to France early 1900s. My mom was born in France but at home, the food was Italian. Rabbit is almost as popular as chicken in Italy and France. My Mom serves it with polenta and I have fond memories of her cooking it for us during our family reunion on Sundays.

Chef de Cuisine – Western Anne Cecile Degenne, will prepare her mother’s version of “Paella”, a traditional rice dish from Spain. Having been raised in Bordeaux, near the Spanish border, she used to spend all her summer holidays in Spain where many of her mother’s familly lived. To relive their fond memories of the country, her Mom cooks paella when she misses Spain. Chef Cecile says, “She taught me all the secrets in making a good paella at our outdoor kitchen during the summer. It is the same paella that I’m making now in Spiral.”

Chef Tweet Obsequio, our Master Chocolatier fresh from winning the Gold medal and Lássiette Dór Trophy for pralines during the recently concluded Chefs on Parade will be preparing Jasmin praline which is a dark chocolate infused with jasmine tea. Jasmin tea has always been served to Chef Tweet growing up with her Mom Rose, who is Filipino - Chinese. Her Mom always told her that drinking Jasmin tea is a beauty secret in her family passed on from China because it makes the ladies beautiful - as it is a good anti-oxidant, good for slimming, reduces fat and cholesterol absorption. Chef Tweet loved the lingering fragrant smell of jasmine from her Mom’s perfume and reminds her of her home and that’s why for Mother’s Day, she is making a jasmine praline.

There's more, Executive Chinese Chef Mok Chee Wah will showcase his mother’s signature dish “slow cooked chicken with Chinese herbs wrapped in lotus leaf”. While Indian Chef Halim Ali Khan will present his childhood’s favourite dish, "Egg Biryani". Japanese Chef Hiroaki Yamaguchi will showcase “Nikujaga”, a Japanese beef stew considered by the Japanese as comfort food. Goat Caldereta is what Chef de Partie and Filipino Chef Jojo Babierra recalls as one of the signature dishes that is passed to him by her mother, Consuelo. Hungry yet? I'm starving! My son, Chase, is splashing into summer with a style, thanks to SM Kids' Fashion. Last April 12, parents and kids were treated to a pool party at the Dusit Hotel in Makati City. Kung Fu Panda is another movie and character that we adore. So it's doubly nice to have a Po Pencil Topper Printable available. Of course, Chase wants to do Master Shifu too. Will save it for another time.

Po Kung Fu Panda 2 Pencil Toppers. The activity can be accessed via HP Philippines Facebook Page Ink Advantage Tab. Under Arts & Crafts Application, choose the Kung Fu Panda 2 Pencil Toppers. Requires 1 page of paper, preferably card stock or paperboard. Since we have photo paper, we used that instead. A page makes four toppers. Descriptive instruction is also included in the printout. But it's easy peasy with the dotted lines as markers on what to fold. Instead of glue, I used double sided tape. For the cutting of the "X" hole, fold it lightly in the middle, and cut gently.

Chase is just too excited to give it a go to the pencil. ;-D

I am so excited to be ~~stage~~ auntie to my two nephews soon. I missed shopping baby stuff, it's nice to be participating in their shopping spree once in a while. You can buy colors, prints, and designs to your heart's content. Unlike when they turn toddler, or just a few more years older, they start to have their own preferences. ;-D We're moving from Disney Cars Lightning McQueen stuff to other characters. I wanted to get my 7 year old son, Chase, a Naruto shirt, but he wanted a Sasuke character tee. Oh well, so Sasuke it is. ;-D Anyhow, baby stuff are just the cutest. So here's my sister's stash. Naturally, it's the same brands we love all over again.

Awww...so pink. And these are actually what's left from my stash from 7 years ago. We thought it's a girl so we shopped too soon, and we're sent with a boxful of girly goodies. And the rest is history, so I let go of few items here and there, but I still have a couple left. Oh well. ;-D

Naturally, we're standing by the same brands we love. To my sister in law, who's a first time mom, I recommend also few more of my favorite baby stuff from last time, and what's also in my baby bag then and now. So I love playing tag along during their shopping. It's great to note that now there are more options for baby brands, and even shopping venues and sources. She bought some of the stuff online. Since we can print, all we want, here's another activity we did, Twitter (Bird) Beard Mask DIY printable. ;-D

DIY Printable made easy with HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525 e-All-in-One. Super fast, and high quality color printing.

The activity can be accessed via HP Philippines Facebook Page Ink Advantage Tab. Under Arts & Crafts Application, choose the Beard Paper Mask. Requires 2 pages of paper, preferably card stock or paperboard. Since we have photo paper, we used those instead.

Chasey Boy at Work. It's a good activity to enhance his fine motor skills. Although, the curves required a bit more of skills in cutting, so I helped him. It's a good way to bond, aw! ;-D Plus, it's a good time off from electronics.

We used double adhesive tapes to put the parts together. Nice! ;-D

I was actually concern that with my combination skin type, a collagen activator skin care line will be too rich for the summer, it isn't so, the serum softens and moisturizes just right. There's more to the Innisfree Soybean Skincare line, so I might mix and match some of it with my current skin care routine.

With my packs, I was able to extend usage to 6 times, which was 3 days/night. As soon as went back to Manila, I already pre-ordered the full size. Yay! #Excited

I survived last month's S&R Sale, and the not so recent Puregold Sale, so yes, I'm inclined to visit Clark this weekend. Cheers! ;-D

We are now the proud owner of a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525 e-All-in-One! Thank you! ;-D Oh happy day! ;-D I am pleased that my son, Chase, can finally have access to printables online. He's always asking me to print, but since as far as I can remember, scrimping on printer ink costs is the way of life, I always declined. Hah. ;-D It will not be so for now, oh yes, we can print, all we want!

So sweet. HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525 e-All-in-One is a printer that can do so much on its own even without a PC. It lets you access and print a wide range of content via web-connected apps such as colouring pages, greeting cards and more directly from the printer. It also has built-in memory card slots so you can view, select, and print. Plus, it's easy to set up. I have to say that since more often than not, except for my Apples, I am usually a lost cause with anything electronics. But with a guided animation on the digital display to walk me through the whole process, it seemed easy-breezy. Print away! ;-D

A Rise of the Guardians Printable from HP Ink Advantage Creative Studio . Oh my, with that much colors, with my usual scrimping ways, I will not dare before. ;-D It printed so fast (seriously, less than a minute!), and so well. Truly, A+ in affordability, reliability, and quality.

It's time to Find the Elves. It's a welcome break to be able to separate him from his gadgets. It's nice that he now has access to actual paper print outs, since even in school he uses e-Tab Reader. And yes, he's been printing a whole lot more after. Oh well, what can I say, we can afford it now! ;-D

It's been a ~~very, very long~~ while since we had a reliable printer at home. It seemed okay to change from one iPhone, or Samsung SI to another, but a printer will do for 5-10 years. Oh my goodness, truth be told, our printer was perhaps over 5 years old. For that, we had our share of difficulties. With several homework of Chase from last time to bring photos of so and so, I murdered a lot of magazines, unsuccessfully even more often than not, in finding everything we need. Plus, I ~~fight~~ charm my way on being allowed to show just online copies of coupons vs. the required print outs. Hah. Now, I'm amazed at the superb functionality of having a reliable printer conveniently at home, and yes, you can print through a wireless connection. So we're looking forward to more print-and-play time with our e-All-in-One printer.

Lawson, its name paying tribute to a real-life doctor who saved the life of their vocalist Andy Brown from death scare, scored hit singles recently, namely, "When She Was Mine," (which immediately became high-rated on YouTube in just a week after being posted) "Taking Over Me," and "Standing In The Dark." "Completing the band roster are bassist Ryan Fletcher, who has been jamming with Joel since they were 14, and drummer Adam Pitts.

Oh Happy Day! So besides Ralph, I'm also liking Michael Kors! ;-D I finally got my matching tote and wallet to partially complete my MK shopping finds from our Holidays 2012 California Trip. And I'm setting my eyes, heart and mind ~~and soul~~ on getting more. One can never have enough bags! *LoL

Matching MK Tote and Wallet

MICHAEL Michael Signature Top ZipTote with external slip pockets and a Signature MK Logo Charm Hang tag. It took me a while to get a MK bag of my liking, more than the design (all so pretty), I had to go for functionality, hence for the need to have a top zipper closure. I wasn't successful on my MK outlet visits to Cabazon, and Carlsbad. Even from TJ Maxx. These were purchase from Michael Kors Outlet Store in Vacaville, California c/o my aunt in San Francisco. I got them last February, a month after we arrive home from LAX.

Favorite Ramen: Shin Sen Gumi Hakata Ramen

Happy Weekend! It's a happy day! You ought to know that the first weekend of the month is my favorite one because I'm coming from a super toxic week, plus it's a payday weekend. ;-D Here's a belated post of our favorite ramen house in California from last time.

What's Hakata Ramen?

Hakata ramen originated in Hakata city located north west of Kyushu. The main characteristic of Hakata ramen is the white, thick soup that is made from pork bones, also called Tonkotsu (pork bone) soup/ramen. Some of the other differences in character it has from other types of ramen are thinner noodles, and the simple decorative toppings of cha-shu , chopped scallions, red colored ginger, and sesame seeds.

Kid's Meal comes with ramen, rice roll, gyoza, yakult, and orage. Yum! ;-D
