Question by Erika: Should I get this checked out?
So I was jumping on my trampoline a little while ago (I use it for exercise, even though it sounds like it’s for little kids) and my chin got stuck on the top of the net while I was jumping. I pulled my head back in reaction and snapped my neck. I’m not too concerned about head trauma because I didn’t actually hit my head, but I am a little concerned about my neck. I definitely heard a crack (sorry for TMI) and it does hurt a little bit. I didn’t get dizzy or anything, and it isn’t a sharp pain, but is definitely a dull ache. It happened about 20 minutes ago. Should I get this looked at immediately or is there no real risk. Is there a chance that I could have a broken neck that could prove fatal?
It doesn’t really hurt when I move and like I said, it isn’t sharp at all or really painful. The pain really went away, but I am just concerned because I know you can die from a broken neck.

Answer by lyyn
You cant lose weight in one specific place. You need to keep your whole body fit and healthy and the weight will drop off all around.

stay away from anything with sugar including things that you may not realize have alot of sugar like orange juice apple juice or coffee.
dont eat many carbs, like crackers, bread, pasta, pizza, potato chips
dont eat processed food

eat anything with protein, fish meat beans
eat tons of fruit and veggies and rices
and drink as much water as you can

do cardio exercises like running, cycling and stair climbing.
These are the most important exercises for weight loss

I’m a freshman in high school and I have lost 25 pounds. I’m 5″5 and weigh 135 pounds. I plan to loose more, but I don’t NEED to. But I have one problem, I still have a double chin. I eat right (im doing weight watchers, 25 points a day) and work out about 5 times a week at the gym, or running. I don’t know what else to do? It has gone away a little bit, but not enough. Anything would help me at this point thanks

Question by thatlaurengirl: Someone PLEASE help me figure out my breathing problem!?
Ok so for the past week or so, I’ve been having trouble breathing. It’s unexplained. I have a respiratory appointment at my hospital for September 9th, but until then, I’d like some insight. Here are my observations:

-I feel somewhat better after drinking water. But when I do drink water, I can feel it going down my chest. Like someone is pouring water over my ribs.
-I sleep better on my stomach and in the fetal position.
-My breathing is worse when I’m in a car. It’s worse when I’m sitting up straight. It’s worse when I hold my neck up straight (in other words, I feel better when my chin is resting on my chest). Lying down with my head against my chest or almost against my chest is most comfortable.
-Breathing is worse when my head is turned to the side.
-When I take in a deep breath, the air feels like it’s crashing down on me.
-My throat is very dry often (more in the back of my mouth), as though my body isn’t producing any saliva.
-My nose will get stuffy occasionally.
-Using an inhaler worked for about 2 minutes.
-Using Nasonex for my stuffy nose worked for my nose only. Did not improve my breathing.
-Breathing feels forced, as though I have to concentrate on it.
-Sometimes when talking, I feel like I can only talk in short sentences because I’ll run out of air, even if I’m perfectly capable of getting out long sentences.

So those are mostly my main observations. I eat normally, I’m in marching band and play my instrument fine. I am having trouble sleeping due to this breathing issue, so I would like it resolved ASAP. If anyone has any ideas, please tell me. I used to have exercise-induced asthma. My mom thinks it could be due to anxiety, although I’m not sure what would be causing the anxiety. This has happened a few times since February this year, but not quite like this. I’ve gone to a regular doctor before, but they could never figure it out. Eventually, it always passed, but I’m not so sure this time.

Thank you in advance =]
I forgot to add that occasionally my heart will start beating really hard and fast, and that last night when I was trying to sleep, I could hear my pulse in my ears.

Best answer:

Answer by kaykay
I think that your mom may be correct, it sounds very much like anxiety. I once had this identical problem.

Question by IzzyBell: Why am I fit but my face isn’t?
I work out and I have a slim body. When I hold my neck in or smile I have a little double chin. My checks aren’t big but they could use a little less fat. How am I suppose to fix this. What exercise is there? What do I need to eat? And this isn’t genetic.
Its not a fat face…I would just like it to have more of a structure. I was never over weight, Im only 17 and I dont want surgery, I chew a whole lot of gum just because Im addicted to it…but would drink less or more water work..I haven’t had this problem my whole life…it started after my first cruise last year, and then it went away but then came back. Im a dancer and dancers are very graceful and I dont want another chin in my photos coming up. more water? Less water? What face excersises?

Question by TehBeastXD: Question about preventing acne (shower and washing)?
Okay well I’m a teenager and I’ve basically stopped eating junk food, chocolate, and pop/soda. I want to further prevent acne and I hope to start exercising sometime soon but my question lies here.

My main issue with my acne is that it’s on my chin/mouth area and on the front side of my neck. While showering I no longer let the warm/hot water hit my chin/mouth area and I think it’s helping. That makes sense right? Heat like that would dry out the skin causing more break outs. Should I continue this practice? How do I go about washing myself there then? I normally try to get some warm/cold (now) water and just splash myself sometimes throughout the day. What should I do about this? Thanks.
Sorry about the mass question spam at the end. (btw I also drink a lot of water)
Gah. I need to add this as well, what should I do about my neck area?

Best answer:

Answer by QI-Quite Interesting™
To prevent acne cleanse, tone and moisturise as well as using a non perfumed soap/shower gel which dries out your skin, just before you leave the shower switch the cold water on for 10 seconds the hot water opens up your pores the cold water closes them stopping outbreaks.
