If you spent your hard-earned money on your mother-in-law, only to have her complain to her friends about you being cheap, would you stop helping her?

This woman's mother-in-law had a hip replacement last year and still struggles to walk. Her mother-in-law's house is 10 minutes from hers, and because her mother-in-law's not a big driver, she began grabbing groceries for her every single week on her way back from work.

"I do her whole list and put everything away in her kitchen. I pay for it myself because she’s on a fixed income and we can afford it. It runs about $150 a week, depending on what she needs that week," she explained.

"Last Sunday my SIL had people over for dinner and one of MIL's friends from church was there. She was saying how nice it is that I pick up the groceries every week, and then, out of nowhere, she just laughed and goes, 'Oh, but Linda told us you always get her the store brand, though; she really misses her Boar's Head.'"

"MIL was sitting right there across the table and didn’t say a word. I waited until we got in the car and asked my husband if he knew his mom had been saying that. He said she probably didn’t mean it like that and I should just let it go. That’s what he always says."

Later that evening, she texted her mother-in-law that she knows she's been complaining to her friends at church about how cheap she is with the groceries.

Her mother-in-law defended herself and said she wasn't trying to be offensive; people simply question her about the groceries, knowing she's unable to shop on her own.

She's literally spent more than $7,000 of her own money on her mother-in-law's groceries in the last year, only to have her go around telling everyone in town that she's a cheapskate.

"I want to tell her I’m done, and she can figure out delivery or ask her daughter to start helping since nobody else has stepped up," she continued.

"My husband hasn’t once offered to do a...thing about it, and he thinks I’m blowing it out of proportion."

Wow, her mother-in-law is a spoiled, ungrateful brat. She unquestionably shouldn't buy her mother-in-law groceries anymore or do a single thing to help her out.

She can let her husband or sister-in-law figure this one out alone.

In the mid-1800s, tuberculosis had spread across Europe and the United States. The disease attacks the lungs and can damage other organs.

It is now known to be infectious. Back then, it was called consumption. Victims would slowly waste away. They would become pale and thin before finally dying.

The Victorians actually romanticized the disease. Being pale and thin was the beauty standard. Tuberculosis causes patients to have a lack of appetite and weight loss.

It also brought on sparkling eyes, rosy cheeks, and red lips, which were really just signs of a constant low-grade fever.

Tuberculosis became associated with respectable women. People looked at a woman's attractiveness to see how likely she would be to get the disease.

Middle- and upper-class women who did not have the disease would even try to emulate the consumptive appearance by using makeup to make their skin paler, color their cheeks, and redden their lips.

Additionally, pointed corsets and voluminous skirts became popular to emphasize women's narrow waists.

The idea of tuberculosis being fashionable can also be seen in art and literature from that time period. The protagonist of the 1850s opera, La Traviata, was the consumptive Violetta. The character was inspired by the French courtesan, Marie Duplessis, who died of tuberculosis in 1847 when she was 23 years old.

It wasn't until the 19th century that more information was discovered on tuberculosis. In 1882, Robert Koch discovered and isolated the bacteria that cause the disease.

His theory helped germ theory establish credibility and convinced medical professionals that tuberculosis was contagious.

To prevent the spread of tuberculosis, the public needed to be educated on the disease. Women's fashions were targeted first. Doctors declared that long, trailing skirts swept up germs on the streets and brought disease into homes.

Furthermore, corsets were said to worsen tuberculosis by restricting the lungs and blood circulation throughout the body.

Men's fashion wasn't safe either. Facial hair was all the rage during the Victorian period, but by the 1900s, it was deemed a health risk, as it supposedly held all manner of germs and bacteria.

Eventually, "consumptive chic" fell out of favor, and tuberculosis became more connected to poorer classes. While the Victorian beauty standard of looking consumptive hasn't survived to the 21st century, modern society continues to see some lingering effects of the tuberculosis trend.

The concept of women being thin, fragile, delicate, sickly, and needing to be taken care of by men still exists in our society. The phenomenon of tanning also stems from tuberculosis. Around the 1900s, doctors began prescribing sunbathing as a treatment for tuberculosis. Tanning is still widespread today.

Lastly, coughing up blood was often a sign of the disease, and the coughing-blood trope that we see in TV and movies indicates that a character is about to die.

During the Cold War, people relied on radios for receiving news and information. But many listeners ended up coming across unsettling broadcasts that usually began with an odd tune or several beeps, followed by the voice of a woman or a child reciting random numbers. They became known as "numbers stations."

Some listeners started trying to figure out where the broadcasts were coming from and why. Each numbers station was named according to the nature of its broadcast.

For example, there was The Gong Station, Nancy Adam Susan, The Swedish Rhapsody and The Lincolnshire Poacher. This last station's transmission always began with the first two bars of a well-known English folk song, and it repeated dozens of times a day.

In the 1980s, the mysterious broadcasts were determined to be coded messages used by intelligence agencies to communicate with agents across the globe. The coded messages can still be found on the radio today, but only if you have the patience and know-how to search for them.

The broadcasts are transmitted over high-frequency waves that can travel thousands of miles. A single broadcast can reach agents without the need for satellites or cables.

The radio is also inexpensive and widely available, making it the perfect method of reaching covert agents. They can listen to messages without leaving behind any kind of trace.

The strange signals being used for espionage operations is the theory that seems to make the most sense, but the real purpose for some of these numbers stations has never been confirmed.

A number of people have argued that the numbers stations were just a prank of some sort. That idea was ruled out because a prankster would have needed to buy millions of dollars' worth of radio transmitters to pull it off.

There is one station called The Buzzer, and it has been sending out weird broadcasts since the Cold War. At the top of every hour, two buzzes will sound.

The buzzes are followed by a monotonous drone between every 21st and 34th minute during daylight hours. After that, a voice reads a string of numbers, words, or names in Russian.

At first, it was believed that the Soviets set up the broadcast. However, it became more active after the Soviet Union collapsed. To this day, it is unclear who is behind this station or what it's about.

In 2010, court papers detailing raids conducted on a Russian spy ring in the United States alleged that the Russians had used "coded radio transmissions and encrypted data."

Ultimately, no government or intelligence agency has officially confirmed or denied using numbers stations for covert operations. So, the mystery of numbers stations lives on. Perhaps you could get your own shortwave radio and try to crack the codes yourself!

Sarah (@ on TikTok) is a high school teacher in America who recently shared something alarming about the students in her class, and she says she wishes she was making this up, but it's a sad reality.

She's so upset about what went down that she even wrote over her video, "Y'all. Teachers are not ok."

A few days ago, Sarah explained that while she was in class, three of her 10th-grade students approached her and shoved their books in her face.

They then demanded to know how to find chapter two in their books, because they just couldn't find it at all.

"It's after chapter one. Look. Turn the pages. These are 10th graders. What?" Sarah asked in her video.

People wondered if this was a result of the No Child Left Behind Act, or if it's just the fault of the parents, allowing their kids to be entitled and lazy. Others worried about these kids growing up and entering the workforce with their lack of common sense.

"I set a deadline and locked an assignment on Google Classroom, and a SENIOR ran out of the class and told the counselor I was ruining her mental health…like I don’t even know if the general public knows how wild it is right now in education," one person commented.

"It's not going to get better any time soon. I had to post the ALPHABET on my wall; I teach 6th grade. My 6th graders this year did not know the order of the letters in the alphabet. I was trying to teach them how to use a paper dictionary when I realized they didn't know the order of the letters. They can sing the song, though," someone else said.

"Had 4 kids try to hand in their tests blank….BLANK. I asked why and they said they didn’t want to do it….," a third person shared.

"20 years in with a PhD. I had a mental breakdown from all the demands. I had to quit. Went to a mental health unit, and out of 30 beds, 5 of us were teachers. [What] is going on with our system? And now teachers are having to pay 80% of their paycheck for family insurance here in San Antonio," a fourth person added.

"I had an entire 8th-grade social studies class literally crying yesterday because they had to complete worksheets by finding answers in their textbooks. They insisted it was impossible and that they couldn't find the answers. There was ONE question per section, in the exact order of the chapter! I even started telling them where to look in the book. Still, nothing. I honestly don't know what to do at this point," a fifth person stated.

A year ago, TikToker Olivia Knox (@oliviaknoxofficial) went on the worst date of her life. She matched with a guy on a dating app, and they video chatted a couple of times before going on a date. They agreed to grab a bite to eat, and her first mistake was letting him pick her up at her place.

"We get into his car, and of course, like, the second that I close the door, he asks where we are going," recalled Olivia. "I look at the navigation. It's a piping hot hour and a half, and it's going all the way down to Newport Beach. I'm in central L.A."

She started to get really nervous, and he noticed. Her face was turning red, and she was hyperventilating. He began singing Disney songs to calm her down.

Almost two hours later, they reached Newport Beach. When he pulled up to the "perfect spot," he started taking off his clothes to put on a wetsuit. He had an extra wetsuit for her. He planned for them to go surfing.

"He shows me this extra wetsuit that he has, and it's totally disgusting and smells like complete and utter [garbage]," said Olivia. "And I'm just standing there, not knowing what to do."

"I was like, okay, I guess I'm watching him surf. He gets ready and starts booking it to the waves. These waves are nonexistent. It was not a day for the waves. There were no waves in sight."

It took at least 20 minutes for him to reach a good spot for the waves. Olivia called a friend in a panic. She couldn't call for an Uber because it cost $200.

While her date was in the water, it started to rain. He kept looking back at her to check if she was watching him. He wasn't in there for long. When he emerged from the water, he accused her of not watching him surf at all.

For the first time, Olivia actually stood up for herself. She told him that she hadn't even wanted to go surfing in the first place and that they were supposed to get something to eat. Her feet hurt, and the whole date was weird.

He began apologizing profusely. They made the trek back to the car in silence, and he moped all the way back with his surfboard.

At one point, Olivia couldn't take the awkward silence any longer, so they started talking again. She wanted a poke bowl, so he took her to a place and paid for the food.

"While we're waiting for our food, he goes on his phone and starts scrolling through pictures of his abs, of his muscles from months ago," said Olivia.

"No questions about myself, nothing really that has to do with me. More about how muscular and how much money he's going to be making."

He offered to get her something at McDonald's to make up for the bad date. But when they got to the drive-thru, he ordered one ice cream for himself, and that was it.

Olivia had wanted a vanilla cone, so she was mad. When she asked for two spoons so they could share the ice cream, he got offended that she wasn't going to share a spoon with him. He also made fun of her for that.

Afterward, he took her to another beach. This beach was even farther away than the first one. The sun was setting, and she still had to endure two and a half hours in the car with him.

Overall, the date was nine hours long. Later, she sent him a text, telling him that she didn't want to see him again.

If you knew there was video and photo evidence of your spouse cheating on you, would you feel like watching that for yourself would help you heal? Or would it prove to be a slippery slope to go down?

It was four years ago that this woman figured out that her husband was cheating on her, and ever since that tragic discovery, they've been working to fix their marriage.

They're in marriage counseling and doing their parts to course-correct. Her husband promised that he would be transparent with her following his affair and said he would tell her any details she wanted to know.

"But there’s one thing he confessed that I just can’t get out of my head: the [steamy] videos and...photos he and his ex-mistress exchanged," she explained.

"And yes, I SAW AND WATCHED EVERYTHING. He didn’t want me to see any of it, but I insisted. And when I finally did, it completely crushed me."

"I thought knowing everything would help me understand what happened and eventually move forward. But actually seeing my husband being intimate with another woman was a different kind of pain."

Being aware of her husband's infidelity was a whole different thing than watching him actually cheat on her with another woman. The videos and photos are burned into her brain, and she keeps thinking about them.

She can replay all of the horrible scenes down to the last second, and she can't quit spiraling over what else might have occurred between her husband and his mistress that she's unaware of.

As she said, she and her husband are still in the middle of saving their marriage and attempting to heal from his infidelity; however, she's struggling.

"But how do I move forward when I can’t erase what I’ve seen? Part of me still wants to fight for our marriage, but another part of me is exhausted from carrying the pain of his betrayal," she continued.

"I don’t know if I can do this anymore."

This is one of those situations where there is such a thing as knowing too much, or rather, seeing too much. If she hasn't been able to move past this even a little bit in four years, I think she's just dragging out the divorce.

If she's really not sure whether or not she wants to leave her husband, a separation could be an eye-opening step for her.

Social media is supposed to help people connect, but sometimes it just gives lonely people an unlimited supply of photos to fuel their unhinged lies.

This 21-year-old guy got a message on Instagram two days ago from a man wanting to know how long he's been dating his wife. He was shocked, as he's definitely not in a relationship with a married woman, and he's never even heard of this guy's wife before.

"Apparently, his wife has been telling her friends, family, and even some colleagues that she's been in a relationship with me for the past 8 months," he explained.

"The weirdest part? She has been using my actual pictures, telling people stories about our dates, our conversations, and even making up arguments we've supposedly had."

His Instagram is set to public, and he only has about 10 or 12 posts on there. He hasn't met this woman in real life, nor has he spoken to her online. She's truly a stranger to him.

At first, the husband thought he was lying, but after reviewing his wife's Instagram messages, he believed him when he said he had had no contact with this woman.

"Here's where things get even stranger. Yesterday, he called me and asked if I could meet him in person. Apparently, his wife has been telling him that I'm not just some random guy but someone she's deeply in love with and plans to leave him for," he added.

"He also told me something I genuinely wasn't prepared for: their families apparently know about me. I don't know whether to feel concerned, angry, or just completely confused."

"Part of me thinks this woman might be going through something serious, but another part of me is uncomfortable with a stranger building an entire relationship around my identity. I haven't contacted her directly yet."

He's left wondering if he should meet up with the husband, say something to the woman, or pretend this never happened.

Well, he should set his Instagram profile to private from here on out, and he absolutely shouldn't meet up with this man or contact his wife. He needs to block them both.

Either the wife is insane and needs serious help addressing her mental health, or this could be some crazy scam. Whatever is going on here, none of it is good, and there's no reason for him to keep in touch with the husband.

If your spouse constantly sided with their housekeeper over you, would you eventually want to walk away from the marriage?

21 years ago, this woman's husband hired a housekeeper. His housekeeper raised his two children after their mom walked out on them.

A decade ago, she met her husband, and she moved into his house five years ago. His kids are grown up, so it's just the two of them in the house, though her husband's housekeeper lives in a cottage on the property.

Although her husband's housekeeper was kind to her when they were dating, as soon as she moved in, it was like a switch flipped.

Her husband's housekeeper refused to let her help with cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping. She went to great lengths to get her out of the kitchen or prevent her from making meals. And it got worse from there.

"I began seeing social media pics of her wearing my accessories and sometimes clothes. The first time I caught on to this, I was aghast!" she exclaimed.

"Not sure when she helped herself into my room and my drawers. She has used my expensive perfumes, as I have smelled them on her. Eventually, after a few months of settling in, when I tried taking control of the home and how things are done, she threw a fit."

"Many tantrums behind my back. Crying and sobbing in front of my partner. All this ALWAYS behind my back and never when I was home to witness or participate."

There are numerous incidents where her husband's housekeeper made her feel inferior to her, or like she was the real lady of the house.

Now, her husband's housekeeper is still rude to her, and her husband sides with this woman over her. Her husband says his housekeeper made so many sacrifices for him and his family, so he's indebted to her.

She doesn't think this is fair, as her husband has paid this woman a ton of money over the years, let her live like a queen, and gave her free rein to do as she pleased. And he laughed when she brought up this woman wearing her clothes and taking her things. He didn't put a stop to it.

She isn't worried about there being anything romantic between them, but she is upset about the relationship and wants this woman out of there.

"I feel humiliated and disrespected in my own home. [My] partner disagrees and says he can’t let her go because of how sweet and kind she is," she said.

"I asked for a separation today and stated my reasons. My reasons [have remained] firm over the last 5 years, and nothing has changed for the better."

"We have ended up in a huge fight where I am being accused of overreacting and wanting to cause a poor woman to lose her job. I am so upset right now and feel like I am done. He needs to continue making home with this woman while I take off."

She's left wondering if she's being too dramatic.

I think she's deluding herself into thinking there's nothing going on between her husband and his housekeeper. His housekeeper wearing her clothing and using her perfume makes it seem like she's the jilted wife. That alone is an enormous violation.

And her husband shouldn't feel like he owes his housekeeper, because she's an employee just doing her job. All of this is just so weird to me.

She's doing the right thing walking away from her marriage, because here her husband is, still picking his housekeeper over her.

If a girl ends up sleeping with a guy who doesn't make an effort or take her out on dates, do you think she has a right to be upset about being used when she put herself in that situation?

This 31-year-old woman has spent the last four months seeing a guy, and at first, it was pretty wonderful being with him. He was mature, attentive, thoughtful, and caring.

He seemed to be everything she had been searching for, and she has a pretty discouraging dating history. She thought this guy was finally a breath of fresh air.

Then, without warning, he changed one day. They didn't have a disagreement or anything like that. There was no reason for him to act any differently.

She asked him outright if she had done anything wrong or if he was not interested in her anymore, but he convinced her everything was fine. He said he was tired at work and had some personal matters to attend to.

"Another thing that I should mention is that we never actually went on a proper date. There were always circumstances getting in the way, and whenever we did have an opportunity to meet, something would come up, and plans would get canceled (by him)," she explained.

Every single time they hung out, it was at his house or hers. After he vanished completely on her for 48 hours, she wrote him a lengthy text expressing her disappointment and how she couldn't keep seeing him if that's how things would be. He simply said ok.

She doesn't believe he even read her whole message to him. She suspects he lost interest in her but didn't have the courage to come clean, since he still wanted to be able to hook up with her.

She's crushed, as she developed feelings for him. She's worried that he used her just to sleep with her and that's all there was to their relationship.

"I gave someone access to my body because I thought there was something meaningful between us, because I trusted him and believed there was mutual interest," she said.

"Now I can’t help feeling like I gave that part of myself to someone who didn’t even have the basic consideration to acknowledge that he had hurt me. But I think what hurts me the most is that this isn’t even the first time I’ve experienced something like this."

"In the past, I’ve been quite strict with myself when it came to intimacy. I would usually wait until we’d been on several dates before becoming physically involved because I wanted to make sure a man was genuinely interested in getting to know me and potentially building a relationship."

With this guy, she ditched her rules about dating and was more free. She did sleep with this guy even though they never went on actual dates, so she's surprised to be in the same exact situation she always finds herself in.

That's what she finds the most distressing, and she's questioning if something might be wrong with her. Men like being around her, but they don't want to commit.

She's losing hope that she will find a decent man to date, and she feels too humiliated to tell anyone she's close to about what just happened.

"A few of my friends knew about him, and I had spoken so [well] of him in the beginning. I had told them how different he seemed and how happy I was to have met someone like him," she continued.

"So now, going from telling everyone how amazing this man was to explaining how things actually ended feels incredibly embarrassing. I feel stupid for having believed in him, especially at my age (31)."

"And I think that shame has made me withdraw even more because I don’t really know who to talk to about this without feeling embarrassed."

"I guess I’m just looking for some reassurance and to hear from other women who might have experienced something similar. I could really use some kindness right now."

Well, she kept accepting his scraps. She allowed him to treat her like this and use her for hookups. She should have made him take her out on real dates, not just sign up to be his sleepover buddy.

If she doesn't want a guy to use her like this in the future, she should only spend her time on men who will take her on real dates. If they don't put in the effort, she needs to walk away and not dole out additional chances.

Scarlet (@chronicallygirl on TikTok) got her grandma kicked out of her family after they went on a little road trip to Miami with just the two of them.

Now, Scarlet's grandma, her mom's mom, always hated her. Her grandma never wanted children and constantly told Scarlet's mom about that, who then passed on that misery to Scarlet.

When Scarlet's mom had her brother, her grandma was surprisingly overjoyed, as she had wanted a boy, but only gave birth to Scarlet's mom.

As Scarlet got older, it became more and more apparent to everyone that Scarlet's grandma hated her guts. Scarlet's mom threatened to cut her grandma off unless she was nicer to Scarlet.

Scarlet's grandma didn't want to be banned from seeing her grandson, so she tried to fix it. When Scarlet was 12, her grandma invited her to go on vacation with her in her motorhome.

It was just the two of them headed off to Miami from Massachusetts, and Scarlet's grandma said it would be a great bonding trip. Scarlet was thrilled to finally get the chance to develop a relationship with her grandma.

As soon as they drove away from home, Scarlet's grandma called her names, said she wasn't allowed to pick any music, and had to be quiet.

There was a list of rules Scarlet was handed. Scarlet wasn't allowed to touch anything because her grandma didn't trust banks and had wads of cash shoved everywhere.

Scarlet's grandma was divorced and always had a new man. Scarlet's grandma said that in each state they were crossing, she had a date to go on, so Scarlet had to stay in the motorhome alone.

Every time Scarlet's grandma addressed her, she called her names, which is pretty much what her mom did, so she wasn't about to call home and ask to come back.

On one of their first nights on the road, Scarlet's grandma parked the motorhome and went off on a date. When she returned, she got mad at Scarlet for using the bathroom and told her she could only use gas station bathrooms; otherwise, she would have to empty the tank.

As they crawled closer to Florida, they hung out on some beaches, and Scarlet wanted sunscreen because she was pale, but her grandma said she didn't need any.

"Of course, I ended up with horrifying burns all over my body. I don't know the degree it was, but there was blistering and bubbling. It was awful," Scarlet explained in her video.

"She goes on and on about how dramatic I am and how my skin is just as dramatic as me...so my poor little burned body could barely sleep because of the blisters."

Scarlet stuck to the sheets and cried. She then asked to go to the bathroom, so her grandma said she had to hold it until they got to a gas station.

It was late at night, and when they reached the closest gas station, her grandma told her to get out and go by herself. It was pitch black outside, and Scarlet was afraid to go ask the random man behind the counter for the key, but she did it.

Coated in blisters, Scarlet was humiliated. She trudged through the dark to the bathroom, and when she came back out, the motorhome had disappeared.

Her cellphone was in the motorhome, and she screamed, cried, and burst into tears as she realized her grandma had ditched her.

The man behind the counter let her use his phone, so she called her mom back home to say her grandma had abandoned her at the gas station.

Scarlet's mom was shocked and didn't want anyone else treating her like garbage. Scarlet's mom said she was hanging up to call her grandma.

When Scarlet's mom called her back at the gas station, she reassured her that her grandma was coming back to get her and that the trip was over. Scarlet would be put on a plane and flown home.

Scarlet's grandma was furious when she returned to the gas station. Apparently, her grandma had gone on a date and thought it was fine to leave Scarlet at the gas station for a few hours all alone.

"It's not like she dropped me off at the mall. But yeah, I guess she got some kind of booty call that she decided to message while I went into the gas station on my own and just thought that I would be fine," Scarlet added.

They drove in silence to the Miami airport. Scarlet had never been to an airport by herself before and asked her grandma to walk her through security.

As they made their way through the airport, Scarlet's grandma turned around and left her once more. And Scarlet never talked to her grandma ever again.

A woman who goes by @ohuprettythings has been single since February after experiencing a difficult breakup. She then quickly got on a dating app to cope, and she was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of matches.

One man invited @ohuprettythings to have dinner with him at the Roxy Hotel for a first date, and @ohuprettythings was excited because the hotel is cute and they have a live jazz band.

Well, this man showed up half an hour late to their date, which @ohuprettythings wasn't thrilled about, but the man did communicate his tardiness to her.

He instructed @ohuprettythings to get them a table, order whatever app and drink she wanted, and he would arrive as quickly as he could.

He apologized, so @ohuprettythings forgave him and waited around. When he got there, he was showering @ohuprettythings with compliments, telling her that she was stunning.

"Within five minutes, he says to me, 'Hey, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I just have to tell you I'm relieved.' I'm like, 'Relieved? What do you mean?,'" @ohuprettythings wondered in her video.

"He says, 'Well, please, again, I think you're so gorgeous, but I was scared about meeting you because I was afraid you might be fat.' He said, 'Your photos are a bit ambiguous.' I said, 'Oh, I'm ambiguously fat.'"

Taken aback, @ohuprettythings sat there as the guy circled around to tell her she was truly gorgeous. She has a photo of herself in a tight, white, short dress on her dating app profile, and she thinks it shows off her curves while proving she's not hiding anything.

She does think she photographs a bit on the heavier side than how she looks in real life, as she only stands at five feet tall. Being so curvy and short, @ohuprettythings admits she can appear thicker on camera, so she sort of understood what the guy was saying, but it was rude to bring up on a first date.

All the guy had to say was that @ohuprettythings was pretty. The man continued that he was looking for specific things in a woman before bringing up bimbofication.

He checked off his list of fake things he liked, including a woman's chest and lips, because he wants a girl who looks like a glam Barbie doll.

Once more, @ohuprettythings thought it was strange of the guy to talk about this instead of asking @ohuprettythings what she likes or where she grew up or anything that would point to him being interested in her as a person.

"He then tells me, 'I make $700,000 a year plus equity,' he's an executive in a certain field. I was like, 'Uh, huh, Ok.' And he says, 'Um, if we were to date, I would give you an allowance.'"

It was already clear to @ohuprettythings that she never wanted to go on another date with this man, who, by the way, looked worse in person than he did in his photos.

This guy kept on going with his list of requirements, telling @ohuprettythings she would have to move into his place within six to eight months of them dating.

The guy offered to pay for @ohuprettythings to get Botox, filler, and plastic surgery, but expressed not wanting to give away too much of his money.

At this rate, @ohuprettythings was just there for the insanity of it, and she thought the guy was not attractive. But oh wait, it got worse.

The man insisted that @ohuprettythings had to be open to him finding another girlfriend and hooking up with that girl and him at the same time.

He dropped a major bomb on her by dragging up his interest in having @ohuprettythings go to clubs with him, where the whole point is to sleep with everyone there.

Shocked, @ohuprettythings couldn't believe he was making assumptions based on how she looks, like she would be ok with any of that.

Finally, @ohuprettythings told the guy she wasn't into anything he was listing off and suggested he join a dating app that was more geared towards women with his bizarre preferences.

Given her tattoos and how she looks, @ohuprettythings felt stereotyped as this guy droned on about how he was definitely worth her time due to the money he would pay her, as if this was supposed to be transactional.

"I said, 'I'm not desperate for someone to take care of me; I can find that if I wanted. It might take me a little longer, but I'm not going to lower my standards by doing something I do not feel comfortable with just to be taken care of; that's so silly,'" @ohuprettythings said.

She prefers being in a committed relationship and is looking for that before getting physical with a guy. The guy had already consumed three to four drinks and was growing irritated with @ohuprettythings for not accepting his proposition.

Not knowing what else to say, @ohuprettythings stated that she had a nice time but didn't think they were a good fit. The guy started insulting her, and then they got in each other's faces.

The guy began screaming at the top of his lungs and in @ohuprettythings's face that she was a prude. Obviously, the man was just angry that he couldn't buy @ohuprettythings.

She was so furious that she threw her napkin towards the guy and walked out. Luckily, @ohuprettythings ended up meeting a nice man after that who treats her like gold.

A woman who goes by @evelinessa on TikTok used to work for a very wealthy family as a nanny. The family employed a lot of people to help care for them, including a private chef, three chauffeurs, and four nannies, one for every child they had, so each child had their very own personal nanny.

What @evelinessa found interesting is that when they had to fly somewhere, they would never fly private; they would only fly commercial in first class.

"I would ask the dad why, and he would be like, 'Ah, too morbid.' Fast forward, I'm still pretty close to the family. I don't see them as much, but I'm still close," @evelinessa explained in her video.

"Nanny dad texts me today and goes, 'That's why.'"

What @evelinessa is referring to is the incident that's been in the news about a Learjet that left Austin and was headed to the Bahamas when it crashed in the middle of a highway in Florida on Sunday, exploding upon impact.

Two crew members and seven passengers passed away in the accident. A tech entrepreneur named Adam Robinson and his family were on board, including his wife, Helen Sharp, their 2-year-old son, Charlie, and their 4-year-old daughter, Emma.

"We do have some evidence that there was some breakup of the aircraft before impact. We may find parts of the aircraft some distance away from the actual impact site," Tom Chapman from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board said.

People in the comments section on @evelinessa's video had a lot to say about how safe it is to fly private.

"My dad does well, and whenever they had business trips and spouses were invited, my mom would fly with his business partner, and my dad would fly with his business partner's wife. That way, God forbid something happened, an owner of the business survived, and none of the kids lost both parents," one person said.

"My dad flew airplanes in WWII, jets in Korea, and helicopters for an oil company in the 50’S. He told me always fly commercial. Never single-engines and no helicopters," someone else added.

"My former high school teacher used to be a teacher for several super-rich families in Miami. She said that when these families would travel (either flying, driving, or train)...they ALWAYS traveled separately… for the exact same reason," a third person shared.

"I used to be an underwriter, and we’d insure private planes. I agree w/him. Pilots have less experience; they have more freedom to fly in bad weather, and you can’t be certain how well the jets are maintained," another person revealed.

Nine weeks and two days ago, Layne's (@layne2100 on TikTok) husband left her after he cheated with a woman he met through a video game.

Layne said it's more painful with each passing day, and all she can do is cry. She and her husband share a six-year-old daughter who is also hurt, as her husband hasn't come to see her in a week.

"He met this girl in the summer on a video game, like I said, and she lives on the other side of the country, like I don't know, 1,200 miles away; it's an hour plane ride," Layne explained in her video.

"I guess right after he left, she came here for two days, but then he just went to see her last weekend for five days. And prior to that, he was coming over to see our daughter...[nearly] every day of the week."

Her husband returned from the trip and told her daughter he's no longer coming to the house, so if her daughter wants to see him, he said he would pick her up and take her somewhere.

He also stated that he's officially in a relationship with his mistress, which Layne finds so childish to even announce like that, as it gives middle school vibes.

Layne's daughter is so angry at her husband and at his affair partner, and she doesn't want to go anywhere with him. Layne's daughter has been praying every night, asking that her dad doesn't pick his mistress over their family and instead picks her and Layne.

Layne is disgusted by her husband's actions, and she's furious as well. She can't believe her husband's mistress was happy to kick off a relationship with him, knowing he's married with a child. It's not like his mistress was in the dark about his home life.

Layne's husband is currently living with his mom, and his mistress is coming for another visit in February to see if she wants to move to their area.

"What woman in her right mind does that? And that really scares me, because if she thinks this whole situation is cool, like, are you serious right now? Really? You're going to move across the country to be with a guy that you've literally spent 7 days with," Layne added.

"7 days. But I don't want to talk about her...9 years. We were together for 9 years, and I thought we'd be together forever. He's my person. He is....He's my person, and now he's gone."

"I can't talk to him. He doesn't want to speak to me, like ever, and now he's not seeing Julia. She called him yesterday and wanted him to come over, and he said no."

Layne's daughter also said she didn't want her dad coming to trick-or-treat with them, so that's the first year he didn't in her daughter's life.

For every Thanksgiving, their family goes to Layne's in-laws', and Layne's daughter wants to stay home this year because she doesn't want to be there.

Layne's daughter said that once her husband moves home, she's willing to go back to having Thanksgiving with her grandma. It's heartbreaking that Layne's daughter is still holding out hope that her dad might change his mind and still choose them over his mistress.

Layne is looking for advice and any suggestions on how to make this situation easier for her to get through.

Kayla Berg has been missing for more than half of her life, and I'm sure you're wondering how that's even possible. Kayla was only 15 when she vanished on August 11th, 2009, and her mom, Hope, celebrated her 33rd birthday on August 29th of this year, sharing a photo of Kayla's niece (who was named after her) helping make a cake.

Kayla was a gifted and competitive gymnast who dreamed of being a choreographer when she grew up. She was on her school's dance team and enjoyed camping with her family. She was the kind of girl who was always there for her friends, and she had a heart of gold.

Hope had split up with Kayla's dad, Jimmy, but Kayla and her brother came and went between both of their houses whenever they pleased. Hope and Jimmy allowed their kids to have the freedom to spend as much time as they wanted with them.

On the evening of August 11th, Kayla was at her dad's house in Antigo, Wisconsin. Kayla phoned Hope that night, telling her that she would probably hang out with some of her friends.

Kayla's last words to her mom were that she loved her. Jimmy recalled hearing Kayla shout that she was going to head out, and she never returned home. Kayla's big brother got a phone call from her asking if she could attend a party with him, but he declined.

From there, her brother's friend, Kevin, picked her up at 8:45 p.m. so they could go for a drive. Kevin was close to Kayla's brother and ate dinner with their family.

He was considered a friend of their family; he was not a stranger at all. At around 9:30 p.m., Kayla and Kevin stopped by McDonald's to visit Kayla's friend at work.

Kevin later said that he gave Kayla a ride to her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Miguel's house in Wausau. Hope didn't approve of Kayla's relationship with him, as he was 4 years older and liked to throw parties.

However, Miguel stated that he never saw Kayla that night, and actually, he had moved to a new house, which Kayla knew about, as the place Kevin said he dropped her off at had been condemned.

So Hope found it suspicious that Kevin dropped Kayla off at Miguel's abandoned, old house with not a single person home. Hope has stated that Kayla is afraid of the dark, so it really made no sense that Kevin would leave her in the pitch-black at a condemned house.

Captain Duley, who has been looking into Kayla's disappearance from the start, also acknowledged that it was a red flag for Kevin to claim that he dropped Kayla off at a condemned house at night.

Hope reported Kayla missing six days later on August 17th, as there was miscommunication between her and Jimmy. Initially, Kayla was classified as a runaway, but 48 hours later, she was changed to missing.

Kevin's car was searched by police, but nothing came of it. The potato farm where Kevin worked and the property where his parents lived were searched as well, without any clues pointing to what happened to Kayla.

While Kevin was charged with reckless endangerment, a judge dropped that charge, citing a lack of evidence.

"People need to realize that there is still a girl [who] went missing 17 years ago, without a trace. No one's word but the last person seen with her," Hope wrote in a Facebook post.

"That being said, yes, I think he is lying. I think he knows exactly what happened to her, 'cause I feel he is responsible. We DO NOT KNOW if Kayla ever made it to Wausau that night! Nothing to confirm that except for Kevin's word!"

"Well, I don't believe anything he has said, maybe in the beginning, but sure as [heck] not now! I have felt this way for a long time now. It has been and will continue to be a struggle dealing with people [who] think they know everything about her case. Did I screw up? YES, I did! I live with that every single day: should have, what if I would have."

"These thoughts haunt me every single day/night. The pain will never go away! Kayla, I love and miss you so much, and I'm so sorry that I failed you. Someday I hope we will get the answers; I pray for that every single day! Until that time comes, I hope you know that I will never ever stop fighting, searching, and loving you."

Kayla's mom, Hope, is counting on someone coming forward one day to provide her with answers regarding what happened to Kayla.

Kayla is 5'2" and 108 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. She has scars on her right shin and the right side of her nose. Her belly and ears are pierced.

Dylan Mortensen was in her bedroom at 1122 King Street on November 13th, 2022, in Moscow, Idaho, when she pulled open her door and came face to face with the man who had murdered her roommates, but she didn't know it at the time.

Bryan Kohberger would later confess to killing four of Dylan's roommates, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, but he never revealed a motive.

Dylan was the only person who got a good look at the man who murdered them, and yet, years after the killings took place, Dylan is afraid for her own safety, which is wild to think about, considering Bryan is behind bars and serving four life sentences with no chance of parole.

So why is Dylan terrified with Bryan locked up, never to be released?

Well, a motion she filed on October 29th is shedding light on the heartbreaking reasons as to why she's so scared, and this poor girl is a victim all over again due to the actions of some crazy people out there.

Now, before I get into it, some of the sealed records in the case are about to be publicly released, and Dylan asked that her face be obscured in body-cam footage and police interviews in order to help protect her.

"Since November 2022, my life has changed in ways I never could have imagined. Along with losing four of my friends and experiencing something incredibly traumatic, I have spent nearly four years dealing with public attention, harassment, threats, and constant speculation about my involvement in what happened," Dylan explained in the motion, which I managed to get a copy of.

"People who have never met me have formed opinions about my character, questioned my actions, and accused me of things I had absolutely nothing to do with."

"I understand that I cannot control what people choose to believe or say about me, but the amount of attention and hostility I have received has affected nearly every aspect of my everyday life. It has changed how I interact with people, where I feel comfortable going, and how much personal information I feel safe sharing."

Dylan revealed that she and her family have had to move a jaw-dropping nine times in the four years since the murders. Strangers as well as reporters have appeared on their doorsteps, followed Dylan and her loved ones, and done things that have made her feel unsafe.

Dylan and her family moved so many times, hoping they would be able to live in peace, without the fear of having to be followed, watched, or spoken to.

When Dylan had a job, she used a fake name, as she was worried about people finding her. She is still, to this day, concerned about where she goes in public and asks her friends not to take photos of her.

She won't go anywhere alone without trusted people or her dog to back her up. People make threats against her online or concoct accusations, which makes her even more upset about trying to simply live her life out here in the world.

Back in May, while celebrating the graduation of one of her friends at a restaurant, Dylan went to the restaurant by herself.

"...As I walked out into the hallway, a girl approached me and asked if I was Dylan Mortensen. The restroom was located down a hallway away from the main restaurant and bar area, and it felt as if she may have been waiting for me to come out," Dylan recalled.

"Being approached while I was alone in that setting made me uncomfortable, especially because I had no way of knowing why she wanted to identify me or what she believed about the case."

Last month, Dylan attended a festival, and despite wearing sunglasses, many people were able to identify her. Dylan admits that people being able to tell who she is doesn't mean they have nefarious intentions, but after getting countless messages full of threats and vitriol, it's easy to see why she's so hurt and scared.

This is why she wants her face to be blurred out in any video recordings that are released to the public about the murders. She really does not wish for it to be easier for people to spot her out and about as she attempts to rebuild her life.

And speaking of the harassment she's suffered at the hands of strangers, Dylan detailed that people have messaged her to blame her for the murders of her roommates, accuse her of ending their lives, and say other horrific things about her.

She even included over 30 screenshots of what these messages have entailed. Although attention around the case died down, the messages did not.

"Some individuals have called me a murderer, accused me of lying, and told me that I should have died that night. Others have expressed hopes that I would be killed or hurt," Dylan added.

"These messages are difficult to receive on their own, but what concerns me the most is that some individuals have made statements about finding me or confronting me in person. For example, I have received messages stating, 'I'll find you' and 'Don't let me find where u live.'"

"Another individual threatened to share my parents' address, while someone else expressed the hope that I would be stabbed and die a slow, painful death. My mom also came across a disturbing TikTok in which someone stated that if they saw me in downtown Boise, they would put me in the trunk of their car to question me about the case."

Dylan then brought up how people have endlessly analyzed her actions and her words, making it seem like she was involved in what Bryan did to her roommates when she unquestionably was not.

She fears that showing her face in released recordings will invite this kind of behavior all over again. Dylan expressed her desire to have a normal life where she can celebrate milestones with her friends, go to concerts, and have a job without being identified.

Dylan wishes she could use her real name and have her photo taken without being scared of what that will invite. Dylan acknowledged that her name will forever be tied to the murders of her roommates, but that shouldn't mean she should be forced to give up the shreds of her privacy she's still clinging to.

"I have changed where I live, the name I use in everyday interactions, the places I feel comfortable going, and the way I interact with people because of the attention surrounding this case," Dylan continued.

"Removing the blurring would take away one of the few remaining protections I have over how much of myself is publicly exposed. I cannot know exactly what additional harm would result from releasing this footage without redactions, but based on the harassment, threats, and unwanted recognition I have already experienced, I am genuinely concerned about the consequences."

Pammy (@pammy777777 on TikTok) spent 15 years working at the front desk of the Emergency Room, where she witnessed her fair share of crazy things, but nothing tops this story about a Ouija board.

One day, Pammy had a patient arrive in an ambulance with a shattered tibia and fibula in his right leg. He was yelling in pain, and Pammy can confirm that's a painful injury to suffer from, but the guy was screaming about more than his discomfort; he was also afraid of something.

Pammy was getting ready to enter the guy into the hospital system, and the man was alone in his room, as he had already been evaluated by the doctors.

He repeatedly asked Pammy not to leave him there by himself, and she said she had to exit the room to enter his details into the computer system, but that she would be back with paperwork for him to sign shortly.

"He said, 'Please, don't leave me; I'm afraid.' And I said, 'Why are you afraid?' And he said, 'They told me to jump. They told me to jump,'" Pammy explained in her video.

Pammy wanted to get to the bottom of this in case she had to alert the police to a criminal matter. She thought that perhaps someone had pushed the man, causing him to break his leg.

Pammy managed to get the man to keep opening up about what happened, and he said something to her about "the evil ones." He detailed that he was playing with a Ouija board with his friends, and they were asking questions as they went.

It was around Halloween, and they were trying to have a fun time. They had no idea that there was something so negative attached to the board.

The man and his friends were laughing and joking around. As the planchette went around the board, it spelled out a word before flying off the table and onto the floor.

The man and his friends all accused one another of pushing the planchette like that, but they all promised they hadn't done such a thing.

The man told Pammy his friend began yelling at him to jump in a strange voice that wasn't his own.

"We were in this abandoned house in the woods, and we were up on the second floor. We had candles lit; we thought this was going to be fun, but it was not fun, and we all took off, and somebody pushed me. There were no windows; they were all busted out," the man revealed to Pammy.

"Somebody or something pushed me out a window, and here I am. And none of my friends were behind me; I was the last one to go out that window, and they were climbing down, and I was like, 'Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry.' I was so afraid, and something pushed me."

Pammy didn't know what to even say in response to the man's spine-tingling tale. She is warning you never to play with a Ouija board after that experience.

If your stepdad jumped right back into the arms of his affair partner following the passing of your mom, would you ever be able to forgive him?

This woman's mom was married to her stepdad for more than 35 years, and her mom sadly passed away from ALS on June 7th. She grieves her mom every day, and it's not getting any easier for her.

Not too long ago, at her daughter's birthday party, her stepdad said something that had her thinking he was dating someone else already.

Then on Tuesday evening, he requested that they meet up to have lunch. She wanted to know if he was ok, and he reassured her that he was.

In the middle of the night on Wednesday, she woke up with a bad feeling that her stepdad was going to announce that he had a new girlfriend.

She confronted him via text, and he got defensive. She did say she thought he would wait a year to move on, while admitting nobody grieves the same way, and she can't imagine what it's like to be in his position.

"Then he said I knew the woman and told me to guess. That’s when it hit me: Roxanne. He cheated on my mother with her in 2021 and again in 2023," she explained.

"His infidelity goes back to the late ’90s, although not all of it involved her. In 2023, I confronted him and told him enough was enough. My stepdad is also a pastor. He counsels other people on their marriages."

"When he confirmed it was Roxanne, I was stunned. She knowingly participated in an affair that caused my mother tremendous pain. My mom specifically told him she never wanted him speaking to her again."

She questioned her stepdad about when he went back to Roxanne, and he said it was three weeks after her mom passed away. She doesn't think her stepdad and Roxanne ever cut contact, though she doesn't exactly have any evidence to back up that hunch of hers.

Her stepdad argued that prior to her mom's passing, she forgave him for his affair with Roxanne. Her mom told her that same thing, but she was upset that her stepdad used that as an excuse for her mom condoning his relationship with Roxanne now.

Her mom wouldn't have been accepting of that at all! She went back through her mom's texts from when she found out about the affair and relived her entire heartbreak through those words.

"Forgiving him for cheating does not mean she approved of a future relationship with his affair partner. I called my mom’s best friend, whom she confided in about his affairs," she added.

"Before I named anyone, she said, 'It better not be Roxanne.' She was shocked when I confirmed it. I asked whether my mom would have been okay with it, and she said absolutely not."

"I know I cannot control who he dates. But I can decide who I welcome into my home and around my children. I told him I disagree with this relationship, and Roxanne is not welcome at events or holidays I host."

While her stepdad was invited to Thanksgiving at her brother's house, he's not coming because he's celebrating it with Roxanne and her loved ones.

She's livid with her stepdad for allowing Roxanne to take her mom's place while she's still sad about losing her mom. She is ready to tell the world that her stepdad is back with Roxanne because she's over trying to make him look like the good guy and a perfect pastor to their community.

She's left wondering if she's wrong to tell her stepdad that Roxanne will never be allowed into her home or to the parties she throws.

I agree with her gut instinct that her stepdad never quit his affair with Roxanne. And she has a right to keep this homewrecker out of her life while no longer being complicit in making her dad look like a model citizen.

She shouldn't hold back in telling the world about what he did. His church deserves to know he's a liar and a cheater.

Since Kara's best friend wanted to hop in the shower, Kara offered to go water the plants outside so they could get done faster. Kara had no way of knowing something so simple would forever alter her life.

Kara had on a T-shirt and her pajama shorts when she walked out into her best friend's front yard. As she was tending to the plants, she noticed a car leaving the neighborhood before circling around and pulling into her best friend's driveway.

Kara paid attention to the car as it drove by; she was about to get her license, and she was constantly scoping out what car she would like to have one day.

Kara felt safe out there in the yard, as it was a neighborhood where the houses were close together, and it was the middle of the day. What could possibly go wrong?

A man climbed out of the car. He was in his 30s, white, and stood at 5'10" with a slightly heavier build. He didn't look scary and was carrying a binder.

The man mentioned he was handing out magazines and wanted to leave some for her parents. Kara told him this was her best friend's house, and he asked if her mom or dad was at home.

Kara replied that they were alone, and he was standing far enough away from Kara that she wasn't worried about him. He wasn't threatening or giving her any concerning signs that he was a predator.

But then he took a step towards her to pass the magazines and shoved a small gun up against her neck. He demanded that she come with him, and nobody could see that there was a weapon in his hand, which was draped around Kara.

The man pushed Kara into the back seat of his car and made her get inside a plastic container. The man put the lid on and drove out of her best friend's driveway.

Kara stayed calm and resolved to find out as much as she could about the man so she could identify him before planning her escape.

Kara took note of the music he was listening to, the serial number inside the plastic bin, and the kind of cigarettes he was smoking. As the man pulled onto the interstate, Kara knew she wouldn't be able to find out where they were going.

The man continued down the road for 15 minutes before pulling over, placing a ball gag in Kara's mouth, and tying up her wrists. He shut the lid back on firmly, drove for a couple more minutes, then parked and got out.

He carried the plastic bin with Kara inside up to the front door of his apartment, where he assaulted her.

"I was told we were going to watch the news to see if anyone missed me. I was told that he was going to let me go whenever he was done with me," Kara explained in her video.

"He was going to take me somewhere where I wouldn't know where I was, and he was going to let me go, and it was my decision if I went to the police or not, and if I was always known as the girl who was [assaulted]."

Kara focused on getting out of there, and then the man put her back into the bin to make a phone call. In her plastic prison, Kara had an anxiety attack.

The man told Kara to be silent, and he said he would take the lid off and the ball gag out of her mouth if she promised to stop making noises. He gave her a Valium as well, then went back to calling his wife, who was out of town.

Once the Valium kicked in, the man placed handcuffs on her wrists and tied her to his bedframe. He then tied her right leg to the bed. Kara fell asleep.

She spent 18 hours in that apartment, and when she woke up, she saw he was still sleeping. Kara managed to free herself from the bed, where the man was still fast asleep beside her.

She made her way to the front door, which had been barricaded with a bunch of belongings. She pushed them aside and made a run for it.

She spotted a single car at the other end of the parking lot of the apartment complex. Two men were inside, and she told them she had been kidnapped.

She pointed out the apartment she had escaped from, and they gave her a ride to the police department. Kara's mom was called, and her handcuffs were removed.

An investigator had her get in his car as they tried to find the apartment where the man lived. Kara couldn't remember which unit it was, as they all were identical, but then they found an employee on a golf cart, whom they stopped to speak to.

Kara told the man on the golf cart there was a woman with long, red hair who lived in the apartment, as she noticed a brush inside her kidnapper's home that had red strands stuck in it.

She remembered there were a ton of animals and the car her kidnapper drove, and the maintenance man mentioned he knew what unit that was.

Kara later identified her kidnapper through a photo lineup. He was the serial killer Richard Evonitz, and he went on the run. Investigators found a locked box in Richard's apartment with newspaper clippings about three murders from Virginia that took place in 1997 and 1996.

Before he could be taken into custody, Richard took his own life following a police chase. After his death, he was connected to the murders of the teen girls in the newspaper clippings.

Richard first murdered Sofia Silva in 1996 and two sisters a year later, in 1997: Kati and Kristen Lisk.

Do you believe in fate? Well, if you don't, this story from Jennifer (@jenniferpolly_hair on TikTok) might just change your mind. It was 16 years ago that Jennifer sadly lost her dad in a car crash, and it was six weeks after she gave birth to her son.

It was the worst day of Jennifer's life, understandably, and she says that nothing was the same after the loss of her dad.

A few nights ago, Jennifer went out on a date with a man whom she had gone on a first date with four years earlier, but she didn't remember that at all.

On their second first date, the man told her where his house is, and Jennifer thought it was weird that his address is around the location of her dad's car accident.

As they were chatting on their date, a look of shock came across this man's face. Jennifer asked him what was wrong, and he said he wasn't sure he should tell her. Jennifer insisted he tell her the truth, so he did.

"This guy called 911 for my dad. My dad...he was the first guy on the scene at my dad's car accident. Isn't that just like absolutely mind-blowing?" Jennifer wondered in her video.

"Poor guy couldn't work for a couple months. Just...like...unreal. Anyways, I just thought I'd share."

In the comments section, Jennifer added that she's hoping for a second date with this man, but unfortunately, he just lost his own dad two months ago and is still actively grieving, so he's not quite ready for a serious relationship. For now, she's being a friend to him while seeing if something more can happen.

"This happened to us sitting around a campfire one night. This guy started telling the story of rescuing this guy in a semi-accident. He had rescued my husband's dad, who passed at the hospital. Mind-blowing," one person commented on Jennifer's video.

"I was friends with someone, & found out years after I met her that I was one of the last people to talk to her mom before she died. Aimee Delman (@aimeedelmanmedium on TikTok) is a psychic medium who helps families answer the question of what happens after we pass away.

She views herself as a connector to the other side, and she recently shared an upsetting story about a child who tragically passed away, whose family asked her to help them get the answers they were desperately looking for.

Aimee says the child in question died under very strange circumstances at a daycare, and one of her medium friends called Aimee to help, as she was too close to the case herself.

A year had elapsed since the child had passed, and Aimee received a lot of details prior to doing her reading.

"One of the pieces I got was what happened when the mom went to pick up the child. And the story I got around that was she arrived, she was told that her child had been missing, and missing for quite a long time," Aimee explained in her video.

"The people running the daycare didn't seem panicked. They seemed quite unaffected in some way. The mom starts freaking out; she starts making calls to the police, but they are not really doing anything."

At that moment in time, the child was simply considered missing, but later on, she was sadly found deceased. Aimee received a name, but sometimes Aimee isn't sure if the evidence points to something else when she does a reading.

She told the parents of the child what name she was thinking of, and the parents gasped upon hearing it. That was not the name of their child, but it was the name of the individual they thought had caused the death of their kid.

Aimee clarified that readings are never about her; she's really just the messenger, and very frequently, she doesn't understand the messages she gets, but the families do.

So anyway, the name Aimee told the parents was a person who had been employed by the daycare. Aimee had more information conveyed to her in the reading, such as what the child had been wearing when she passed away and where she had been located.

Aimee got a lot of clarity around the girl's death itself, and it felt to Aimee like she was in a tunnel and couldn't escape. The parents confirmed that Aimee was right about that.

Aimee was also told that the girl's parents were uneasy about living in the town. Aimee mentioned that the whole purpose of a reading is for a medium to provide evidence of the event that occurred that nobody else could be aware of, so that it's possible to know your lost loved one is still with you and supports you from the other side.

In the cafeteria of Nautilus Middle School in Miami Beach, Florida, an 11-year-old girl viciously attacked one of her classmates, and it was caught on camera.

This all happened on September 24th, and in the video footage captured on another student's cellphone, the 11-year-old girl can be seen walking up to her classmate, who was seated, grabbing her hair and yanking her down to the floor.

The 11-year-old then kicked and punched her classmate and hit her more than 40 times in her head. The vicious assault lasted exactly 25 seconds before school employees managed to separate the kids.

The school has acknowledged that the response time was less than ideal, though they did respond immediately to the situation at hand, and apparently, the girls had already been spoken to by school employees regarding their issues with one another.

According to the victim's mom, her daughter was attacked due to jealousy over spots on the cheerleading team, and the attacker's family is stating she was bullied.

Neither the girls nor their moms have been publicly named in order to protect their identities.

The victim's mom indicated that the attacker's cousin was the one who caught the incident on camera and that the assault was premeditated. Her daughter received a concussion in the attack and has been too afraid to go back to middle school.

In front of the courtroom, the victim's mom cried as she said, "This is a kid who is 11 years old. This is what upsets me. We need to stop violence in schools. Please help me stop the violence in schools. Our life has been turned upside down. I am hurt."

As for the attacker's mom, she's claiming that her daughter was the real victim here, and she's livid that her child has been branded a violent criminal.

Speaking to WPLG, the attacker's mom shed tears and explained, "My daughter, at 11 years old, has to go through this and see herself in the news. She's not a criminal; she's a child."

The attacker's mom described her daughter as an honor roll student with perfect grades, who punched her classmate in order to "defend herself."

The attacker's mom is hopeful that the court will take into consideration what happened leading up to the attack in the cafeteria that caused her daughter to snap.

The attacker has been charged with aggravated battery, a second-degree felony, and her next court date will be on December 21st. A judge has ordered that she have no contact with the victim, including via social media.

Initially, prosecutors were contemplating a diversion charge, which is a misdemeanor, but after the victim's injuries were evaluated and her own mom asked for the attacker to be prosecuted, the charge was upgraded.

TikToker @serenity44487 works the night shift at a haunted senior living facility. One night, at around midnight, she was talking on the phone with her fiancé. All of a sudden, she heard a voice say, "Hello?" Her fiancé hadn't heard anything. Eventually, they hung up.

A couple of hours later, she received a phone call from one of the residents who asked her to bring over a cup of water. She thought the request was somewhat odd because the residents lived in condos and had their own sinks and refrigerators.

She assumed that the resident had just wanted some human interaction.

She filled a cup with water and went to the resident's room. As she was knocking on the door, a nurse passed by and told her that there was no one in that room.

She was confused because she had asked the resident for their room number over the phone multiple times. She used her key to unlock the door to see for herself.

"The room is completely empty," said @serenity44487. "There was no furniture or nothing inside of this room. This room was being remodeled."

She went back to her desk and looked up the resident in the computer system. The system listed the resident in a different room. So, she went upstairs to the other room and knocked on the door.

Nobody answered, so she used her key to open the door once again. This room was also empty.

She tried to call the resident's phone number back, but it was suddenly disconnected. She decided that she needed to take her break, so she went to clock out on an iPad in the community room.

However, the screen shut off and turned pitch black. She tried turning the device on and off for five minutes, but nothing was working.

At that point, she was starting to get freaked out. Then, she realized that the full moon was out, and they were in the middle of an eclipse.

As she began walking away, she heard footsteps behind her. She slowly turned around and told whatever it was not to follow her.

"I'm not scared of ghosts," said @serenity44487. "This feels different and weird to me. I've always been able to really communicate with them. Normally, I can tell if it's a spirit. This felt so real."

In the comments section, several TikTok users shared similar stories about ghostly encounters.

"I worked at one in Maryland, and it was one of the first nursing homes on the coast, so it has been around a long time. I have so, so many stories from there. One of the creepiest was on our memory care unit. It was said if a resident saw a little boy playing with a red ball, they would pass away within 24 hours. Every time, this happened for the few years I was there," commented one user.

"I worked third shift at an assisted living facility. One night, ornaments started falling off the Christmas tree. I was out," wrote another.

Long ago, a group of female samurai called the Onna-bugeisha existed. They were trained the same way as male samurai and were just as deadly.

One of the most notable Onna-bugeisha was Nakano Takeko, who was the head of a special female warrior group known as the Joshitai.

Nakano Takeko was born in the Aizu domain in April of 1847 to a powerful and well-respected family. Her father was a high-ranking court official. She was trained in martial arts her whole life and received a good education.

Since Takeko was born in a time of great conflict, she was no stranger to war and wanted to get in on the action. She was not satisfied with marrying and raising children while the men did all the fighting.

At the time, the Boshin War was being fought between the ruling Tokugawa clan and those who wanted to restore power to the imperial court.

In 1868, Takeko formed an all-female group of warriors to help defend their shogun, Tokugawa Yoshinobu, against the imperial forces.

She was only 21 years old. She led the Joshitai, which included her 40-year-old mother and 16-year-old sister, in the Battle of Aizu.

The battle took place in September 1868 and was one of the bloodiest battles of the Boshin War. The imperial forces had breached the walls of the Aizu domain's castle. The Joshitai fought with all their might alongside the male samurai.

Takeko was a highly skilled and fearless warrior, but in the end, she was fatally wounded during the battle, taking a shot to the chest.

With her last breath, she asked her sister to behead her so that the enemies couldn't take her body as a trophy.

Her sister carried out her request and buried her head in a secret location: under the roots of a pine tree in the temple Aizo Bangemachi. Later, a monument was built there to honor Takeko's memory and bravery.

The Joshitai persisted without her, but the Aizu domain eventually fell to the imperial forces. Many members of the Joshitai were taken prisoner and executed. Takeko's sister was one of them.

Takeko is regarded as the last great female samurai warrior. She and the Joshitai's actions were controversial at the time, as Japanese society did not accept the idea of women in war.

But ultimately, they proved that they were just as capable as men of defending their country. Their courage, determination and sacrifice are not to be overlooked. They are an important part of Japan's history and culture.

After Takeko died, the Onna-bugeisha disbanded. However, there were still female warriors. Throughout the 1800s, women continued to engage in combat.

But over time, the concept that samurai warriors were just big, strong men took over, and the legacy of the Onna-bugeisha was forgotten.

Ashton Carter (@ashtoncarter__ on TikTok) said she had a woman verbally attack her while she was shopping one day with her children. She was at Walmart, and her three-year-old, Bowie, was trying to push the shopping cart by herself.

Ashton told Bowie she was not allowed to do that, which caused her toddler to throw a tantrum in the middle of the store. Ashton completed her shopping and approached the self-checkout with her kids in tow.

An older woman was in front of Ashton in line and overheard Bowie still having her meltdown.

"She turns around and rolls her eyes at me. So I already am like, here we go, she's going to open her mouth. Buckle up to deal with this [nonsense]," Ashton explained in her video.

"So then the old lady turns around and says, 'Knock it off,' at Bowie. And I said, 'Don't speak to my child that way,' and she said, 'Well she needs to be quiet. Someone needs to tell her.'"

Ashton doubled down and informed the woman she wasn't allowed to talk to her children in such a rude manner. Ashton reminded the woman that this wasn't her kid, and she would deal with her as her parent.

The woman argued that Ashton wasn't handling her child and complained about having to listen to Bowie melt down. Ashton responded to the woman that she could walk away or close her ears, which made the woman even more angry.

The woman did storm off and ended up at the self-checkout counter directly across from Ashton. One of the store employees then came up and asked Ashton if she was alright.

"Then Crew was like, 'Mom, why is that old lady being so rude to you?' And off she walks huffing and puffing. Now be so proud of me. I didn't curse at this lady. Really wanted to," Ashton said.

"I cursed after she was out of being able to hear me. If you don't want to hear the child screaming, throwing a fit, do you think the parents want to be hearing that too?"

"Do you not think it's incredibly embarrassing? Now, if you need ideas of what is appropriate and cool to do in this situation, what would have been really cool is if you would have been like, 'You are doing such a great job. Is there any way I can help? That's not that hard, is it?"

Ashton's story is a great reminder that it costs nothing to be nice, and you shouldn't be slamming parents who are out there in public trying their best to raise their kids.

Cats are known to hate water. The second it comes near their fur, they will fight tooth and claw to get away from it. One reason cats might not like water is that it weighs them down. When their fur gets soaked, it's like carrying around a heavy wet blanket. That's got to be uncomfortable.

Their evolutionary history may also play a role. Domestic cats descended from animals that lived in relatively dry environments, so they are not necessarily accustomed to bodies of water. So, as a general rule, cats and water are not a match made in heaven.

But there are always some exceptions to the rule. TikToker Makayla (@balletblondie) got her black cat from Craigslist, and some days, she wonders if the cat is even real because of how unbothered he is.

Unlike most cats, he has no fear of water. In fact, he fully embraces it. He showers with Makayla every single day. It's a crucial part of their daily routine.

In a video, Makayla gets in the shower with the water running to show just how okay her cat is with getting wet. He did not react when the water touched him and was content to stay in Makayla's arms. And she really put his patience to the test.

Even when Makayla grabbed his tail and put it under the water, he remained calm. There was no dramatic escape attempt, angry scratching, or frantic meowing.

He never seems to be ready for shower time to end either. He got sad when Makayla finally turned the shower off. The funniest part is that he always gets the zoomies after he showers. Apparently, the proper way to celebrate a relaxing shower is to sprint around the house like a toddler on a sugar high.

According to Purina, certain cat breeds don't just tolerate water. They actually enjoy splashing around in it. These breeds include Abyssinian, Maine Coon, and Turkish Van.

It's unclear what breed Makayla's Craigslist cat is, but perhaps he falls somewhere under one of these categories. Many TikTok users were fascinated by the unusual feline.

"My cat watches me in the shower but will not come in," commented one user.

"He looks like he forms thoughts every three to five business days," joked another.

"I swear it's a black cat thing. Mine is also so chill," stated a third.

While most cats continue to treat water like their mortal enemy, it's looking like Makayla's cat won't be giving up daily showers anytime soon. Shower time is just another opportunity to spend time with his favorite person. Honestly, his commitment to the routine is impressive. He must be the cleanest cat ever!

Do you think it's appropriate for a girl to wear the lingerie her boyfriend bought for her while attending Halloween frat parties, or is that just attention-seeking behavior?

Several weeks ago, this 24-year-old man bought his 22-year-old girlfriend lingerie. It's a lacy slip-on that she looks gorgeous in. At the moment, he and his girlfriend are in separate cities.

For Halloween on Saturday night, he was aware that his girlfriend was going out to some frat parties, and he trusts her, so he wasn't concerned about her partying with a bunch of guys.

His girlfriend dressed up as a fairy, but she never mentioned to him that she was wearing the lingerie he bought her as part of her costume!

If she had something, he would have been alright with it. He wouldn't have been happy about her outfit choice, but he wouldn't have had a problem either.

Yesterday evening, his girlfriend sent him a photo of her outfit, but she had a sweatshirt on, so he couldn't see the lingerie she had underneath it. He thought she incorporated the sweatshirt into her costume or something.

"Then today, she sends me pics of last night, and she was wearing the lingerie I got her. I don't want to be too controlling, but I feel completely blindsided, like she intentionally didn't tell me," he explained.

"I always trust her, but now this is causing a lot of doubts. Because also this morning she sent me a text saying I adore you, you are so cute. We have never said I love you or I adore you. So this was very new."

"Also, I texted her at 10 p.m., and she was out super late and didn't respond til 10 a.m. this morning. This stuff I didn't think anything of, because I completely trust her, not until I saw that she wore the lingerie I got her to the party."

He's furious and insecure over his girlfriend parading around in lingerie at those Halloween parties and hiding it from him. He doesn't like that she showed that much skin.

He's not sure if he's being too dramatic, but he really thinks his girlfriend was not being respectful of him by putting that on in the first place.

As soon as his girlfriend sent photos of what she wore, he was silent, and she stated he couldn't be angry at her because she would never do anything with other guys, which made him feel guilty.

He didn't say anything to her on their phone call; he just rushed to hang up. He's left wondering if he's allowed to be hurt.

Wearing lingerie to frat parties when you're not single is not a good look. I believe his girlfriend was on the hunt to see if she could find someone better, so she put herself on display.

He needs to ask himself if he wants to be with a girl who doesn't see a problem with wearing lingerie while partying with guys, then throws a sweatshirt on to hide it and tries to make him feel bad.

Oh, and the text the morning after saying she basically loves him is suspicious, like she's got a guilty conscience for something she did on All Hallows' Eve.

If you went on a date with someone who gave their number to your waiter, would you be offended? Would you want to go out with them again?

This 27-year-old man met a 22-year-old woman at a bar several weeks ago, and they casually began hanging out as just friends. But then, when this woman expressed interest in him, he officially asked her out on a date.

While on their date at a restaurant, he got up to use the bathroom, and while he was away from the table, their 40-year-old waiter hit on that girl and managed to get her phone number.

"After the date, she told me that the waiter had texted her. He apparently commented that she looked too young for me and that I looked like I was in my 30s," he explained.

"He also shared a playlist from the restaurant. According to her, though, the waiter seemed friendly, and she didn’t interpret his behavior as him trying to ask her out."

"I can understand that she might not have realized his intentions, but I’m still bothered by the fact that he got her number while I was in the bathroom and we were on a date. I also wonder why she gave him her number in the first place, although I recognize that I don’t know exactly how the conversation went."

This is not the only thing that has left him doubting this girl is the right fit for him. She previously revealed that her ex-boyfriend cheated on her, and he used to get angry that she was friends with men.

Also, when he originally met her, she gave a fake Instagram account and her real phone number to a man. She then used her fake IG account to get this guy to ask her friend out, but it was really her, and then she used her real phone number to brush him off.

He thought that was super bizarre, and it made him worry about how she deals with men giving her attention. While this girl has other qualities he admires, he's just not convinced they have similar values surrounding romance and relationships.

"I don’t want to be insecure or controlling, and I understand that the waiter might simply have been friendly. I’m also not assuming she had bad intentions. However, the situation has left me feeling uneasy," he added.

"My questions are: Is it reasonable to be bothered by the waiter getting her number while I was in the bathroom, even if she thought he was just being friendly?"

"Is giving him her number something I should be concerned about, or am I reading too much into it? Does the situation with the fake Instagram account seem like a red flag regarding her judgment and how she handles male attention?"

He can't tell if he's overanalyzing what happened on their date and in general, or if this girl is giving red flags.

This girl isn't an idiot; she knew she was giving her number out to the waiter because he liked her. And a girl only gives her number to a guy because she's inviting a connection.

He's being way too nice and sympathetic here. This girl is probably trying to make him jealous, or she's not serious about dating him.

Whatever her reason for giving her number out like that, it was disrespectful. She was picking up the waiter while on a date with him.

When TikToker @fegneb was 22 years old, she went out with a 33-year-old guy, and it was the worst first date she had ever been on. They met at a bar, and he asked if he could take her on a date. She agreed.

A week later, he picked her up for their date. She was wearing a nice outfit: an A-line velvet skirt, a lacy top, fishnet tights, and boots.

Her style was a little more on the alternative side. The first thing he did when he saw her was ask if they were going to a punk show.

"He didn't even compliment me; he didn't even tell me I looked nice," said @fegneb. "He just ragged on my outfit. I didn't even know how to respond to that."

She happened to glance in his backseat and saw a long wooden case. When she asked about it, he told her that the case contained his pool cues. Apparently, he didn't like to use the ones at the pool tables because they were really low-quality.

She laughed and said that he couldn't bring professional pool cues inside to play against her because she could hardly hit the balls at all. This seemed to annoy him a little. When they arrived at the spot, they ordered drinks and headed to the pool table.

"He lets me make the first shot, and then he goes and proceeds to make every single one of his balls in," said @fegneb.

"If you know how pool goes, you get to keep shooting until you've missed. I'm thinking maybe he's trying to impress me. So, we play another game, and the exact same thing happens."

For their third game, he let her take two turns before he hit the rest of his balls in. She told him that she was bored with playing pool because she was just standing there and watching him play.

They ended up going to another bar, and he asked if she wanted to play pool again. She agreed, thinking this time would be different, but he made every single shot again without giving her a turn.

The second bar was much busier than the first, so a bunch of people were watching them play. One guy actually chimed in, asking if @fegneb would get a chance to shoot. Finally, she declared that she didn't want to play anymore.

They went back to her apartment and made out on her couch. Then, he said something about how young she was. Alarm bells started going off in her head.

Her stomach started hurting, so she went to the bathroom and pretended to violently throw up to get him to leave. It worked because he left while she was in the bathroom, and she never saw or talked to him again.

In the 1950s and '60s, the CIA conducted experiments involving torture, hypnosis, and brainwashing on thousands of people. These mind-control experiments were known as Project MK-Ultra.

The CIA had become convinced that the Soviet Union was able to do mind control, so they started trying to do the same in 1953. The program was carried out across 80 universities, institutions, and hospitals.

Project MK-Ultra was kept a closely guarded secret. It finally ended in the 1970s.

As the Cold War reached its height in the early 1950s, the U.S. government began to fear that the Soviet Union was becoming more technologically advanced.

Reports during the Korean War suggested that North Korean and Soviet forces had developed mind-control capabilities. The reports were later proven false.

On April 13, 1953, Project MK-Ultra was launched. It was headed by Sidney Gottlieb, who was a chemist and expert on poisons. He set out to create a truth serum, but it was a very difficult endeavor, so researchers turned their focus to placing test subjects in an altered mental state.

Overall, the program conducted 162 experiments, and a total of 185 researchers were involved. The most common method was to give large quantities of substances to subjects in the hopes of wiping their minds clean.

Substances such as alcohol, opioids, LSD, THC, and the super hallucinogen BZ were used. Sometimes, two drugs with opposite effects were administered at the same time.

Researchers also used hypnosis to instill fear into subjects and then exploit that fear to gain information. Some subjects were drugged and left comatose for months at a time. When they came to, they permanently suffered from incontinence and amnesia.

An animal behaviorist, John C. Lilly, kept subjects in a sensory deprivation flotation tank so they could experience their acid trips away from the outside world.

Many test subjects were unaware that they were even participating in the experiments. Gottlieb and his research team targeted individuals who could not stand up for themselves, including drug addicts, prisoners, mental patients, and terminal cancer patients. Some were volunteers or paid students.

They endured all kinds of abuse. One mental patient was given LSD for 174 days straight. Gottlieb even administered LSD to CIA officials without their consent so he could study the effects of the substance in "normal" settings.

Those who survived the experiments experienced long-term effects like depression, amnesia, paralysis, withdrawal, pain, insomnia, confusion, disorientation, and schizophrenic-like symptoms.

In early 1973, the CIA director, Richard Helms, had all of MK-Ultra's records destroyed. But in 1975, President Gerald R. Ford launched an investigation into CIA activities.

Although most of the evidence of MK-Ultra was destroyed, a collection of 8,000 documents was discovered.

In 1977, the documents were released to the public under the Freedom of Information Act. Soon, survivors filed lawsuits against the CIA and the federal government.

In 1992, 77 former subjects were awarded a settlement. Most subjects were denied any retribution because of the difficulty in proving that the secret experiments had negatively affected them.

To this day, MK-Ultra is one of the most heinous government cover-ups in U.S. history.

TikToker Jordan (@confessionswithjordan) shares anonymously submitted confessions from her point of view that range from scary and traumatic to mortifying and embarrassing.

Her cousin killed two women and is now serving a life sentence in prison. She grew up with her cousin, Evan. They were only eight months apart, so they often played together. They also would stay at their grandparents' house for three weeks each summer.

"I never really liked Evan that much," narrated Jordan. "He was family, so we got along well enough, but I was never excited to see him. I remember he was brash and intimidating and awkward. In the end, I guess I'm not too surprised after finding out what he did. He never really seemed to care when someone got hurt."

For example, she wiped out on her bike one summer and hurt her knee. Instead of helping or getting an adult, Evan just stood there and stared at her. She angrily stormed back home with her bleeding knee.

Evan also lied constantly for no reason. He would get angry when someone questioned his stories and switch personalities depending on who he was around. Everyone cut him some slack because his brother had drowned in a pool when they were younger.

In high school, Evan became quieter and more withdrawn. He didn't have any close friends but always seemed to know everything about everyone. He spent hours driving around town.

After graduation, they drifted apart. She moved away for work. He occasionally sent her text messages, asking weird questions about certain back roads or abandoned buildings they came across as kids.

Six years later, she was on the phone with him when he mentioned that a woman in his town had recently gone missing after she left work.

The missing woman had been wearing a red blazer. He drove around town at night, participating in the search for the woman. Eventually, the investigation went cold.

Three weeks later, Evan called her again, asking if she thought the police would ever find the woman. She stated that it wasn't likely.

Evan noted that it was amazing how someone could just disappear without someone noticing, and was surprised that it didn't happen more often. She thought that was incredibly odd and insensitive of him to say.

A few months later, they met up for lunch at a small bar and grill. One of the TVs was playing the news and broadcast the missing woman. Evan was strangely fixated on the screen.

Almost 18 months later, another woman vanished. She had been driving home after visiting her sister. This time, there was a witness. Someone had seen the woman on the side of a back road with a flat tire the same evening she disappeared.

The witness stopped to help, but the woman said that her husband was on the way. However, she was never seen again. A large clump of her hair and some gasoline were found in her vehicle.

"The break in the investigation came from traffic cameras," said Jordan. "Investigators were able to track a vehicle that appeared near both scenes and stayed long enough to be suspicious."

"It belonged to my cousin. When police searched his garage, they reportedly found the driver's licenses of both females, along with the red blazer from the first woman and a ring from the second woman."

Evan was ultimately sentenced to 150 years in prison. The two bodies were found in the woods in a rundown shed. One woman's neck was broken, and the other woman's skull was broken.
