NEW IN: YANKEE CANDLE WAX TARTS

I'm not that innocent anymore. I cheated on Bath and Body works and got myself some Yankee Candle wax tarts. I've been eager to buy them for a while now but never got around them until last Wednesday when I took a trip to Amsterdam.

When I got to the store (Yankee Plaza in the Magna Plaza Amsterdam) I couldn't believe my eyes. They have a really huge assortiment which made is super difficult for me to choose from. Since I'm so over this cold weather I decided to get some spring and summer scents.

I got Pineapple Cilantro, Citrus Tango, Clean Cotton, Mango Peach Salsa and Champaca Blossom.

I find them to be a little pricey though. The wax tarts are €2.50 each.
I'm gonna cut them in 4 parts so I can get the most use out of them.

I'm so glad that they don't have a yankee candle store near me otherwise I will find myself there every week.

COLLECTION: BATH AND BODY WORKS CANDLES

I'm officially a Bath and Body Works candle addict. It all started when I bought my first Bath and Body Works candle at Chique Cosmetique here in Rotterdam. I got the Homemade Cookie and was hooked since then.

For those of you who's not familiar with BBW, it's an American brand that sells body products such as soaps and lotions, spa and skin products and of course candles which they are super famous for.

Shortly after I bought my first BBW candle I went to Curacao where they surprisingly were selling BBW products. They had a great variety which made I really difficult for me to choose but after smelling literally each one I ended up with Caribbean Escape and Lavender Vanilla.

Lavender Vanilla (3-wick)

A timeless blend of lavender & creamy vanilla with touches of cedar wood, delicate jasmine and citrus

First Impression: This candle reminds me about Homemade Cookie cause of the Vanilla.

Caribbean Escape (3-wick candle)

Dive into a blend of tropical melon, raspberry nectar and lemon mellowed by creamy coconut milk and sugarcane

Back here in the Netherlands Chique Cosmetique was having a 30% off (ENDED) on all Fall and Winter products including BBW candles. I knew I had to get something.
I got Stress relief from their aromatherapy line, Banana nutmeg bread pudding (what a long name), Pumpkin caramel latte and Villa bergamot.

Stress Relief (3-wick candle)

Think clearly as you fragrance your home. Eucalyptus Essential Oil clears the mind while Spearmint Essential Oil uplifts to help improve concentration.

First Impression: Fresh. This candle smells really fresh. I have a feeling this candle will do exactly what it's suppose to do, relieve you from stress and improve concentration.

Banana nutmeg bread pudding (Mason jar)

A Scrumptious New Spin On The Traditional Bread Pudding Recipe - Creamy Banana, Freshly Grated Nutmeg And Brown Sugar Are Mixed Into A Sweet Indulgence

Thoughts: I was a little disappointed in this candle. It does smell really good, but not as strong as when it's not burning. I was hoping on a stronger banana scent.
All by all it has a great balance.

Pumpkin Caramel Latte (Mason jar)

Gather with friends and celebrate the season with this warm, rich blend of creamy pumpkin, spiced caramel and sweet cream

First Impression: I love sweet scented candles, especially when they have a hint of caramel in it, so this one was just perfect. This candle smells just like they describe it.

Villa bergamot (small candle)

Aromatic bergamot grown in the warm and sunny Calabria region of Italy provided the inspiration for this elegant citrus blend that also includes lavender and geranium.

First Impression: Smells just like a really good (to my taste) mens cologne. I'm really sad that there wasn't a 3-wick of Villa Bergamot.

BEAUTY: NO MORE DRY LIPS PERFECT COMBO

It's the most wonderful time of the year but also the worst time for my lips.
I have the whole year around dry lips but winter time they get the worst.
I've tried so many chap sticks but nothing help until I've tried out this combo.

I've been using the Lush Bubble gum scrub for about 3/4 weeks now and I must say it does wonder for my lips. I use it twice a day since it not harsh on the lips.
After rubbing it on my lips for about 1 minute or so I use the vaseline lip therapy rose on it.

The Lush bubble gum lip scrub is a really fine product. My lips stay soft for at least 4 hours which is amazing.
Since it's made out of sugar you actually don't have to worry for it to come into your mouth and you can just lick it off.

This lip scrub comes in a 25g jar and it is vegan. The main ingredients are Castor sugar and jojoba oil, so it's really easy for a DIY if you don't want to spent €9.90 on this product.

REVIEW: YVES ROCHER PURE CALENDULA DAY AND NIGHT CREAM

In todays post I will be reviewing the Yves Rocher Pure Calendula day and night cream.
One can never have enough face products or better said I'm always on that never ending search for the best day and night cream.

I heard so many good things about this day and night face cream so I decided to give it a try.
Calendula is know for it's healing benefits for skin infections or in this case for your face when it needs that little boost.
This face cream has a really thick consistency. So a little goes a long way.
Like I said before it's a day and night cream so it's also ideal for traveling.

I use this obviously day and night after I wash my face with my face wash of choice.
It leaves my skin super soft, and with soft I mean silky (not exaggerating). Pure Calendula doesn't dry my skin nor leave it oily. It's just perfect for me.
Only problem (not for me) is that it has a really strong scent to it. A good one I must say. So if you are someone who doesn't like strong scents on your face this will be definitely a no go.

Besides the strong scent, which I personally don't mind all the time, this day and night cream is perfect.

NEW IN: YVES ROCHER CHRISTMAS BROCHURE UNBOXING

I didn't need anything but when I got the Yves Rocher Christmas brochure in the mail I knew I had to get me some things. I think it's really important to spoil yourself sometimes and just buy things you don't really need.
I love Yves Rocher when it comes to face and bath products. They have always the cutest packaging.

Even though it was a spoil moment I didn't wanted to go overboard and buy allot of products I know I wouldn't use anytime this year.

I got two shower gel from their limited edition.
Blackberries shower gel and Redberries shower gel. Both smells really good
They come in a 200 ml bottle for €1,95

I also bought 5 nail polishes. Yes, you read it good, 5. They where 50% off and since I never tried them before I decided to get some (life of a nail polish addict).
Well, I'm disappointed. I know it's my own fault cause it clearly said 3 ml but sometimes you just order things without doing research.
Even though I'm super disappointed (with myself), I'm still pretty pleased with the quality and my color choices.

I got no. 13 Fuchsia, no. 91 Argent Givré, no. 32 Cerise Noire, no. 3 Or and no. Rose Givré
These nail polishes are handy to travel with. Small in size and lightweight.
They where all €1,50 each

I also got a lipstick in no. 42 La Gacilly.
It's a nice mauve color with just a little bit of shimmer.
Perfect for this time of the year.

Last thing I bought was a pocket mirror for €1,95

Yves Rocher always has these deals when you order in 10 days you will get a gift or if you just place an order you will get something extra.
I got a watch (which I'm going to give-away) and a mascara which retails for about €19. So I basically got everything else for free.

Even though I'm disappointed with the mini nail polish bottles and still happy with my purchase.

NEW IN: O.P.I. NAIL POLISHES AND SWATCHES

I'm very weak when it comes to nail polish, especially O.P.I.
Big Bazar (the Netherlands only) was having an amazing deal again on O.P.I. nail polishes and I knew I had to get me some.
They had some amazing colours this time but I told myself I'm only gonna get 3. (well I'm regretting it now and I'm thinking about buying 3 more).

REVIEW: GARNIER MICELLAR WATER

I've seen this cleansing water all over Instagram ever since I moved to the Netherlands. Never thought I would get it since I was very pleased removing my make-up with make up wipes (for the lazy days) until last week when I decided it was time to try something new.

Trekpleister was having an '1+1 actie' on all Garnier natural skins so I knew this was a great opportunity for me to finally try it out.

Garnier Micellar water comes in a 400 ml bottle for about €6,50

The product itself has no scent at all which I'm super happy about.
When you apply this product it literally feels like you are washing your face with water, super refreshing.
Unlike the make-up wipes it doesn't leave your skin sticky and I like the fact that you don't need to wash your face after.

Now does it remove your make-up?
Well, yes it does. It's removes everything I have on my face without making any effort except for waterproof mascara.
Like I said before your skin feels super refreshing and smooth after.

The best thing about it is that it doesn't sting your eyes or make it red.

Overall I really love this product and will definitely repurchase it.
Garnier Micellar water removes most of your make-up, doesn't sting or leave your eyes red and your skin feels refreshed and smooth after.

PRIMARK SCARVES - WHY SPEND ALLOT WHEN YOU CAN ACTUALLY SAVE?

It's been along time since I went to Primark. I used to go there every month, not necessarily to buy something but to just browse around and see what's trending.

Since the opening of different Primark stores here in the Netherlands and seeing tons and tons of hauls I decided that it's time for me to start visiting Primark more often.

I bought 2 scarves. Both of them screams fall and winter to me.

They are also really thick, soft and cheap. I've been wanting to get these type of thick scarves for a while now but every single one I liked was around €20.

Well, I don't mind spending money but sometimes I like to save on things I know I can get them way more cheaper.

The "red" one was only €6 and €7 for the blue and checkered one which is actually a reversible scarf.

They didn't had more at that time but believe me if they did I would totally bought more

SALLY HANSEN MIRACLE GEL - REVIEW

If you follow me on Instagram you might already know that I bought the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. I was super exited when I saw them and I knew I had to buy one to test out. Well, I wanted to buy more since they have a huge color variety and I couldn't decide which one to get first. I ended up with 110 - Birthday Suit. A simple nude color, perfect for every season.

This polish promise you a gel look without the UV lamp in just two simple steps.

" The ONLY TRUE 2-STEP GEL MANICURE with no light needed. Over 45 shades that wow! And it's only from Sally Hansen. " - Sally Hansen

First coat - You can clearly see it's really sheer. Was expected cause of the color choice.

Step 1: Apply 2 coats of the miracle gel color

Second coat: more opaque but still not as opaque as I wanted it do be, but I didn't want to add a third coat for the sake of the review.

Step 2: Apply 1 coat of the miracle gel top coat

I really love Sally Hansen nail polishes in general. Great quality and a huge variety of color, but I was a little disappointed with this miracle gel. I really thought it will let my nails look wow if I may compare it to just Hema nail polishes (with the Hema gel look topcoat).

This polish doesn't look bad but I wouldn't repurchase it just for the simple reason that I can get a better gel effect with cheaper polishes.

ESSENCE EXPRESS DRY SPRAY REVIEW AND NOTW

In this post I will be reviewing Essence express dry spray. I saw this spray on a fellow bloggers Instagram and I knew I had to go out and buy it hoping that I will work.

I love painting my nails but since I'm always busy, or better said doesn't always have the patience for it to dry, that it often turns out in quite a mess.

The Essence Dry spray comes in a small bottle containing 50 ml of product for just €2,60 if I'm not mistaken. So it is easy to travel with.

'Polish your nails as usual, wait 30 seconds then spray the nail polish spray from a distance of approximately 30 cm and your nail-polish will dry super fast!'

I tested this spray on #24 The GlamoureX Factor by Catrice. I followed these steps and voila dry nails without any effort.

I was really surprised since allot of times products like these doesn't do what they promise. This spray smells really good comparing to that chemical scent allot of sprays have. So it won't be suffocating when you spray it.

Only disadvantage is that it takes away a little shine of the polish so if you're going for that super glossy finish I wouldn't recommend this product but all by all this product is amazing and wouldn't definitely repurchase it.

NEW IN: FALL SHOES (TOPSHOP AND PULL & BEAR)

While allot of us are sad cause summer is coming to an end (well feels already like fall here in the Netherlands), I can't wait for it to be fall already. Despite the shitty weather which I don't really mind, fall has definitely become my favourite season.
Like always I love to shop for new seasonal clothes, especially shoes.
I bought myself two new shoes which was both on sale!

I bought these loafers at Topshop for just €9.99. Such a bargain. I've been wanting to buy myself some loafers for a time now but they either ran out of my size quickly or I just see too much people wearing the same one, which I don't really mind, but sometimes I want my things to be "one of a kind".

I also got this gold/silver ballerina for just €6 at Pull & Bear. I really don't know what color these ballerinas are to be honest. At first they look like gold but then they suddenly change color and looks like silver. Must be a 2 in 1 shoe.

WORTH THE SPLURGE: MAYBELLINE THE COLOSSAL VOLUM' EXPRESS MASCARA (+REVIEW)

Beauty products can be really expensive sometimes but some items are worth the splurge.
I can go weeks without lipstick or even sometimes without foundation, but I'll never leave the house without mascara.
I've been using the Colossal Volum' Express by Maybelline ever since I started using mascara. It was my first and basically the only brand of mascara I tried and immediately fell in love with.

This mascara has everything I want a mascara to do. It doesn't give me clumpy lashes and it is also really easy to layer.
I usually don't layer it since I have pretty long and thick eyelashes so one coat is more than enough for me to make my lashes look bold, defined and volumized.
It separates my lashes, thickens them but also give them more length. So it basically does everything I need and want a mascara to do.

The wand is made of "natural" bristles which I really like.

The Colossal Volum' Express retails for about €15, which I think is pretty insane for a mascara (doesn't matter if it's high end or drugstore), especially when you use it everyday, but like my title says it is worth the splurge.

I AM NECKLACES - SALE ITEMS

I don't know why but I never seem to visit I AM stores (only once i think) but this time I took a visit thanks to those SALE signs. I found two necklaces for just €5 and I knew I had to get them. I have a similar one as the first one but with Silver chain so I thought Gold chain would be nice for a change.

I love these types of necklaces on plain simple shirts.

I also got this really pretty blue necklace. I've been wanting to get one for a while now but never seemed to buy one so when I saw it was on sale for €5 I knew I had to get it.

VICTORIA'S SECRET BODY LOTION MINI HAUL

I'm thinking about opening my own drugstore or bath and body type of store. I've been buying allot of shower gels and body lotions. Its like my weakness.

Remembered my The Body Shop post? Well, I promised myself I wouldn't buy any body lotion, shower gel or whatsoever anymore till I, at least, use up 2 of them. But guess what, I bought myself 2 body lotion. Did I needed them? NO, but oh they smell so amazing I couldn't resist.

As you might know (those living in the Netherlands) Etos was having a great offer on VS body lotions and body mist. I went to 3 different Etos but they were already sold out. Honestly I was happy cause I saved myself some money until yesterday.

They have tons left so it was a little challenging for me not to go overboard.

I got Midnight Exotics and Aqua Kiss.

SWEATER WEATHER HAUL

Weather has been acting up really bad lately. The one minute it's raining and then it's sunny again. But I don't mind cause I got my sweaters ready!

I love buying sweater in the summer cause they are usually on sale. So I couldn't resist and bought 3 new sweater. Some people say it's toooo early to start buying them but why wait and buy them when they are full price?

This chunky sweater was on sale for only €10 at Mango. I love chunky sweaters and can't wait to get more of them (in the sale of course)

I also bought this pink sweater at H&M.

This sweater wasn't a sale item but for €15 I couldn't resist. I really like these lightweight sweaters for the beginning of autumn.

I bought this one at Zara. It was originally €40, but I got it for just €15. To be honest as much as I like this sweater I would have never paid €40 for it simply because I don't think it's worth that much.

Just like the H&M sweater this one is also really lightweight.

THE BODY SHOP SALE HAUL

I get super exited whenever I see the sale sign especially at the body shop. I really love The body Shop but I think that the prices are a little too much. Even though they offer great quality products I still don't want to pay €16 for example for a body butter.

Well, as I said The Body Shop is having their summer sale so it was perfect for me to get myself some bath and body products. I didn't go overboard since I didn't actually needed anything. Well, they didn't had that much left where I went otherwise I would have got more to be honest.

I got the Passion fruit body butter and shower gel and a vineyard peach body butter. I wish they had the vineyard peach shower gel as well cause it smells amazing.

FAVORITE SUMMER BAG - PARROTS EVERYWHERE

It was love at first sight when I saw this bag. As a Caribbean girl I always loved birds, especially parrots so I couldn't resist and bought the cutest parrots bag ever at H&M. They also have a watermelon want in case you're not a bird/parrot person. The watermelon one was also really cute but this one just screamed my name since it's so colourful.

My bag is already dirty which makes me really sad. I had a new Hollister jeans and the color runs (doesn't run anymore cause I washed it) which totally sucked and ruined my bag. I think it's washable though and hope that after I wash it my parrots still look vibrant as they look now.

What I love most about the bag is as I mentioned before is the vibrant color of the parrots. I really love the color choices and how they used canvas on the bag. It makes it look really summery.
This bag is definitely my go to bag this summer.

P.S. I'm thinking about getting the watermelon one as well but I'm not sure.

Don't you just hate when you're all done standing in line to pay and you see all those gems at the counter? Well, it happens to me every time. Even though I always wanted to try them and heard so many good things about them, I never really thought of buying them simply because I have to much lip balm. This time I couldn't resist and went away and bought them. They were just €2,50 I got Cherry Me and Pink Punch. At first I thought they are going to be more sheer but they are more pigmented than I thought. I really love them and wear them almost everyday!

Hey Friends, I'm doing another review today. It's the Hydra Vegetal Fresh Gel Undereye Bags by Yves Rocher. I got this as a gift with my purchase which came perfectly on time. I've been sleeping really late and waking up really early which are giving me every girls nightmare, under eye bags and dark circles.

Packaging
One of the things that I admire about the packaging is how smartly they eliminated the use of paper for writing details and just went ahead and wrote them on the recyclable cardboard box. Too bad I threw the cardboard away

The product itself is encased in a narrow nozzle tipped tube which really helps in dispensing the right quantity of product based on your preference. The clear tube makes it also really easy to know when you're running out of product.

The secret to brighter eyes!

This Fresh Gel Undereye Bags lightens the eyes with his cool texture. It refreshes the eye contour and skin is moisturized.

Formula

The formula is gel based. The texture of the product is smooth and clear. It goes on extremely smoothly and dries to a matt finish. Unlike other eye gels, the hydra vegetal fresh gel does not have a sticky finish when you apply it properly. First time I used it I've put to much and it literally took for about 2/3 hours to dry completely. So you need just to apply tiny amount.

This product does exactly what it claims to do. It refreshes, brightens up and moisturise the under eye. All by all I really like this product and will repurchase it again.

NEW IN: H&M HAUL ALL IN BLACK WITH A POP OF COLOR + VOGUE T-SHIRT

This isn't really spring and summer approved but I couldn't resist. It's been a long time since I bought some things or even visited H&M. I can't remember why I stopped so I decided that it was time to start visit H&M again.
To my surprise I bought some things and for no more than €40. Happy wallet, happy me.
Even though they are super basic I still wanted to share them.
I also couldn't resist and bought the Vogue Magazine so I can get the Vogue T-shirt.

I love all these items and can't wait to style them

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE: 100% JUICE

I've never heard of these juices until I was walking in Big Bazaar. They caught my eyes by their cute packaging and of course by the 100% on it. They are the 100% juice, no preservatives so it's 100% natural.

They currently have 3 flavours right now, Simply Red, Bananarama and Beetle Juice.

Simply Red

Simply Red consists of 81% tomato, 6% celery, 10% carrot and 3% hot pepper. Extra ingredients: Onion, paprika, salt, chili pepper, coriander, vinegar, fennel, parsley, watercress and Leek. As you might see it has quite allot ingredients which makes Simply Red really intimidating. You can definitely taste the tomato, celery and the hot peper. It taste like something you will cook with. I definitely need to give this one another try or maybe be a little creative and use it to cook with since it has practically every ingredient I would use.

Bananarama

Bananarama, the name says it all. It consists of 12% orange, 12% banana, 40% apple, 34% carrot and 2% lemon. This was the first I tried and became one of my favourite. I'm already familiar with this taste so it wasn't really a surprise for me. I can definitely taste the banana, orange and the carrot.

Beetle Juice

Beetle juice, what to expect? It consists of 10% beet, 20% carrot, 7% orange, 7% banana, 51% apple, 2% lemon and 3% elderberry. When I was younger my mom always made raw beet juice for me where I was definitely feeling the dirt from the beet. Didn't like it back then but I still wanted to give it another chance. Well, to my surprise this is my number 1 favourite of all! It taste sooo good. You can definitely taste the beet juice even though it's only 10% but it's well balanced with the other ingredients so you don't feel like you are only drinking beet juice.

I really really like these juices, so if you are looking for an all natural juice I would totally recommend 100% juice. It's 100% natural and only €0.99 at Big Bazaar.
