Holiday in Tokyo (1)

2017-02-13T10:45:00.000+08:00

We stayed in Courtyard Tokyo Station Hotel in Tokyo. It was very convenient as the metro station is just next door. In the evening we went to the famous Shibuya crossing. It was interesting watching people crossing the crossroad!

We spent sometime shopping and dining here in Shibuya.

The next morning we went to Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. Everywhere was crowded in Tokyo!

After that we walked to the nearby Skytree Tower. It is the tallest tower in Tokyo. There was a PPAP cafe there! Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen! Hahahaha!

The views from Skytree Tower......

In the evening, we went to Akihabara. This area is famous for the electronic shops. Every time we walked, we were always on the look out for ice-cream veinding machine!

Tokyo Disneyland

2017-02-13T10:22:00.001+08:00

We went to Tokyo for holiday in December last year. After reaching Haneda Airport, we straight checked into Disney Celebration Hotel. Me and Clarise already did our homework to find out where to find food in Disneyland Tokyo!

At night we went for character dining in Chef Mickey Restaurant in Disney Ambassador Hotel. Here we had buffet-style dinner while taking pictures with Mickey and friends.

The next day, we went to Disneysea. It was very cold and crowded too. But luckily, we managed to enjoy most of the rides. We like the roller-coaster ride "Flounder's Flying Fish Coaster" the most!

We visited Tokyo Disneyland on the third day. Again, it was very crowded by noon. We enjoyed the rides and parades. We love the Gadget's Go Coaster roller coaster ride. There was the electric dream parade at night. Unfortunately we did not manage to see the firework display as it was cancelled due to bad weather.
The next day, we did some souvenirs shopping before checking out from the hotel.
Our next stop was Courtyard Tokyo Station Hotel.

Universal Studios Singapore

2017-01-08T21:11:00.000+08:00

On the third day, we went to Universal Studios Singapore. This was our third visit. The park is actually smaller than the ones in Florida and Osaka. Nevertheless, we still managed to have so much fun!

When we reached there in the morning, it was raining heavily. Luckily the rain stopped after a while and did not stop us from enjoying ourselves.

This time, besides the normal kiddy rides, we also tried the more adventurous rides namely the Shrek Enchanted Airways, Puss In Boot Giant Journey, Jurassic Park Canopy Flyer and Transformers: The Ride. Clarise was not afraid and she even wanted to try the biggest roller coaster ride!

We left early and did not wait for the night parade because everyone was tired. We had dinner in Vivo City before heading home.
The next morning, we went home to KL. But our holiday was not over yet..........

Holiday in Singapore

2017-01-08T20:58:00.000+08:00

It's school holiday again! We went for a short trip to Singapore in November. We went together with Kaylee, goo-goo and goo-chang.

On the first day, we went to Gardens By The Bay. There were 2 gardens, mainly the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. The place is so beautiful with so many different types of flowers and plants.

We spent nearly the whole day there.

After that we had a short walk to The Esplanade. We saw the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore Flyer (the ferris-wheel) and the famous Merlion. we have been here before but it was so many years ago.

The next day, we went to the Singapore Zoo. Here, we saw so many animals. This is our third visit to the zoo and every time we came here, there will be so many things to do. Unfortunately, it rained in the afternoon and we have to cancel our plans for the water play area.

After that, we went for a walk in Orchard Road in the evening. We had dinner in Ippudo Restaurant. I really like the ramen there! We walked around to see the Christmas decorations there before heading home.

Paris!

2016-08-31T14:23:00.000+08:00

We stayed in Renaissance Hotel in Paris. The weather was fine throughout our stay. It was a bit crowded because of Euro16 Football Finals.

We visited the popular hotspots such as The Lourve Museum and the Eiffel Tower. However, I do not really like Paris. I think it was full of bad people. We saw people fighting at Eiffel Tower and also police who caught some bad person.

We took the river cruise and went shopping too! We tried lots of French pastries including macarons!

We really enjoyed our Europe trip.

Disneyland Paris!

2016-08-28T17:37:00.001+08:00

We left Edinburgh and flew to Paris. From the airport, we took a bus straight to Disneyland Paris. We stayed 2 nights in Hotel Santa Fe, a hotel with Cars theme.

Disneyland Paris is smaller than Disneyworld Florida. It has two parks, Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. We managed to visit both parks.

On the first day, we visited Disney Village. It is something like Downtown Disney in Florida, only smaller. We had dinner and did some shopping in Disney Store.

The next morning, we went to the parks. As a hotel guest, we were allowed to enter the park two hours prior to the opening. So we were quite lucky as it was not so crowded yet and we managed to enjoy the parks. To our surprise, the park was not as crowded as Disneyworld. We stayed on until the fireworks show.

The next morning, we went to Mickey's cafe in Disney Village for the breakfast with characters. Here again we managed to take some pictures with Mickey and friends. After breakfast, we took a train ride to Paris, our final stop of our UK holidays.......

2016-08-01T21:55:00.001+08:00

Last month, we went for a holiday in UK. We followed papa for a meeting in Edinburgh. But, our first stop is London.

We arrived in London in the morning. After rest, we went for a walk around Westminster. We saw the Big Ben. It was so funny because the day was very long in the summer. Sunset was at 9.30pm. So everywhere was still bright by 9pm.

We took the London Eye. It was the biggest ferris wheel we ever ride. One gondola can sit up to 20 people. Here we can see the bird eye's view of London City.

After that, we went to Harrod's to do some shopping before heading back to the hotel.

The next morning we visited the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. It was actually called the Tower Bridge and not the London Bridge! We managed to walk on top of the Tower Bridge.

We had the traditional fish and chips before heading to the Westminster Cathedral followed by Buckingham Palace.

On the third day, we went to Bicester Village which is about 45 minutes from London by train ride. It is a shopping outlet. We met up wth Uncle Praveen and Auntie Cheryl there. They bought us presents! After that we continued shopping in Oxford Street back in London.

On the fourth day, we went to Madame Tussaud's Museum, thanks to the free tickets courtesy from Uncle Praveen. As usual, we posed with lots of wax statues and even Star Wars' characters. After lunch, we took a 4-hour train ride to Edinburgh, Scotland.........

2016-01-03T12:35:00.000+08:00

We spent a whole day in Universal Studios Japan on Wednesday. The weather was good in the morning, but unfortunately it rained the whole day after noon. But we managed to enjoy the rides in Universal Studios Wonderland which was mainly for kids.

There were Hello Kitty, Elmo and Snoopy. We enjoyed the Elmo's Skateboard ride and Snoopy's roller coaster ride very much. This park is slightly bigger than the one in Singapore but smaller than Florida's. We also bought some souvenirs too. We had sushi for dinner before heading back to the hotel.

Osaka Trip (5)

2015-12-29T21:51:00.002+08:00

On Monday, we went back to Tempozan Harbor Village to visit the Osaka Aquarium and Legoland Discovery Center. There are so many things to see and do that we spent the whole day there!

Osaka Trip (4)

2015-12-17T21:46:00.004+08:00

On Sunday,we went for a day trip to Kyoto. We took the bullet train ride or Shinkansen. It was very fast! It only took us 15 minutes to travel from Osaka to Kyoto.

Kyoto is mainly famous for it's shrine, temples, castles and scenery. First stop is the Fushimi Inari Shrine. It is famous for its thousands of vermilion torii gates, which straddle a network of trails behind its main buildings. The trails lead into the wooded forest of the sacred Mount Inari, which stands at 233 meters and belongs to the shrine grounds. Foxes are thought to be Inari's messengers, resulting in many fox statues across the shrine grounds. Unfortunately, we are too tired to hike up to the mountain.

Next, we took a cab to Sanjusangendo Hall. It is a temple which is famous for its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy. The temple was founded in 1164 and rebuilt a century later after the original structure had been destroyed in a fire. In the center of the main hall sits a large, wooden statue of a 1000-armed Kannon (Senju Kannon) that is flanked on each side by 500 statues of human sized 1000-armed Kannon standing in ten rows. Together they make for an awesome sight. We were not allowed to take pictures inside the temple.

We did a lot of walking on that day. From Sanjusangendo, we walked for about 30 minutes to Kiyomizudera Temple. We stopped halfway for lunch. We had ramen as usual.

Kiyomizudera (means "Pure Water Temple") is one of the most celebrated temples of Japan. It is best known for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside below. The main hall, which together with the stage was built without the use of nails, houses the temple's primary object of worship, a small statue of the eleven faced, thousand armed Kannon. We stopped for ice-creams again as usual. After that, we took the train to Nijo Castle.

Nijo Castle was built in 1603 as the Kyoto residence of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo Period (1603-1867). His grandson Iemitsu completed the castle's palace buildings 23 years later.

The castle can be divided into three areas: the Honmaru (main circle of defense), the Ninomaru (secondary circle of defense) and some gardens that encircle the Honmaru and Ninomaru. The entire castle grounds and the Honmaru are surrounded by stone walls and moats.

By the time, we finished visiting Nijo Castle, it was already dark. We took the train back to Osaka and had dinner before heading back to our hotel...........

Osaka Trip (3)

2015-12-14T22:00:00.001+08:00

On the third day, we went to Nagai Botanical Garden in the morning. The garden was so pretty with autumn trees and leaves. We even visited the rose garden.

After that we went to Shitennoji Temple. It was the first Buddhist temple in Japan. After that, we moved to Courtyard Hotel.

At night, we went to Dotonbori Shopping area. We saw the famous Glico man or Clarise called it "Pocky Man". We went for the river cruise. Unfortunately it was raining. After that we had dinner at McDonald's and we went shopping after that. We managed to buy Kit Kats with so many different flavours. We were surprised to see Disney Store there.

The next morning, after breakfast, we went to the 60th Floor of our hotel. This is the observatory deck where we can view the whole Osaka from the tallest buiding in Japan.

We spent half a day there and we had japanese ice-cream!

Later, we went to Tempozan Marketplace for lunch. We had Udon. We then went for the Santa Maria cruise followed by a Ferris Wheel ride.

Osaka Trip (1)

2015-12-12T20:45:00.002+08:00

We traveled to Osaka on the 9/11/15. We took the night flight and we reached Osaka at 7.00am. The weather was so cold! After breakfast, we immediately took a bus ride to Rinku Premium Outlets. It was very near the airport, about 20 minutes bus ride.

We did a lot of shopping there. Me and Clarise bought a lot of GAP shirts and sweaters. We also spent some time on the playground.

We had lunch there before heading to our hotel. We stayed in Osaka Marriott, which is in the Abeno Harukas building. This building is the tallest building in Japan and our room was on the 54th floor.

The view from our room was magnificent!
