We’re happy to have Maira and Aref’s wedding featured on ISPWP – the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers. This organization has strict criteria for membership and it’s a great honor to be featured among some of the best photographers in the industry.

Gina and Jason’s Wedding

This weekend we had a great time taking photos of two weddings right here in the Bay Area. The Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose is a fantastic venue for wedding photos. Gina and Jason’s day started with Natasha capturing the preparations at the Bride’s house while I met up with the Jason and the guys at a nearby hotel.

The weather was anything but predictable and we had everything from a light rain drizzle to full sun and lots of clouds in between. Of course, what that means for wedding photos is amazing light! The ceremony in particular was blessed with soft, diffused clouds and the sun came out for the first kiss as if right on queue. What a spectacular show!

Cinnabar Hills is definitely one of our favorite golf clubs and wedding venues in the Bay Area. The landscaping of the hills as well as the spacious reception room allow for an amazing celebration. We had a blast capturing Gina and Jason’s wedding photos. Here are some faves:

Monica & Alex’s Engagement Session

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! We had the pleasure of shooting two beautiful weddings over the last few days and we can’t wait to share them with you here. In the meantime, here are some recent engagement photos we shot just a few weeks ago.

For this photo shoot, we met Monica and Alex by the entrance to the De Young museum in Golden Gate Park. The evening was a bit chilly but the light was gorgeous around sunset time and we spent an hour just walking in the park and around the walls of the De Young and the Academy of Sciences.

New album delivered!

Yet another another new album just came in and we were excited to deliver it. These hand-made magazine style albums are fully customizable and we love seeing how different they turn out with all the different cover options that we have available. The books can be horizontal, vertical, or square and they come in a range of sizes and dimensions. Sometimes it’s hard even to choose between them :)

This one has the Wedgewood and Femme Noire cover options. I just love it!!

The album has been delivered already to the happy client and we took these shots just before sending it out. The comments we heard back were “Wow, it looks amazing!” and wished it was extended it into an even bigger album. We love happy clients!

Christine & Albert’s Engagement Session

Christine and Albert are going to have their wedding celebration later this year in Boston where they live right now. They both graduated from Stanford University and wanted to have their engagement session there so they can relive the moments when they met. It was a pretty amazing day for light all around the Stanford campus and we had a blast exploring it.

The sky really started to change colors just after sunset over Palm Drive:

Tomorrow we’re going to post photos of a new hand-made album we just finished and delivered to a client. It looks pretty sweet and we’re definitely excited about it :)

Teresa and Gary’s wedding featured on Real Weddings of Style Unveiled!

The wedding we shot in May at Santana Row is now featured on Style Unveiled Real Weddings! Style Unveiled is a wedding planning website which has inspiration for brides and grooms from Seattle to Portland, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Heather created a beautiful photo layout with info about Teresa and Gary’s wedding day. It was so interesting to see the wedding we photographed from a different angle. Maira and Aref’s Wedding

Last weekend we were thrilled to shoot an amazingly beautiful Afghan wedding at the Marriott Hotel in Fremont. We had such a great time getting to know and working with Maira and Aref. We knew from the beginning that they were really into photography and they also put so much thought into the details of their wedding. The Afghan wedding photos we captured on this day included traditional dances, a special ceremony with henna, amazing tabla drumming, and much more.

Natasha and I love working with clients who are into really creative and artistic photographs and we love being inspired by them. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves:

Ellen and Jer’s Engagement Session

Their wedding is coming up at the beginning of August and we just know it’s going to be a very special event.

Laura and Brian’s Wedding

We recently had a chance to take photos of Laura and Brian’s beautiful wedding at Tiburon’s Corinthian Yacht Club. The day was full of cool details like an SF trolley and an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge at the Community Congregational Church. The bridal party had 9 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen which made for a total of 19 people with the bride and groom!

The couple devoted a good 45 minutes for their portraits and it was really fun to take photos around Tiburon’s downtown. Laura and Brian were blessed with warm and sunny weather for their wedding day and the reception at the Corinthian Yacht Club was truly elegant.

We photographed Laura’s brother’s wedding at Mission Santa Clara about a year ago it was wonderful to see their families come together for another big celebration.

It was neat to see the GG Bridge on the horizon:

Camping at Sequoia National Park

We had an amazing time last week visiting Sequoia National Park. It was just a 3 day trip, but it was so inspiring and re-energizing. This park is located just a bit past Yosemite and it’s right next to King’s Canyon.

Little did we know that our reserved campsite was at 7k feet elevation! That meant it was in the 30’s at night. While a bit unexpected, we did enjoy having a warm campfire each evening and hiking through the amazing nature during daytime. A few shots from our trip:
