I've decided to take a breather with Chocolate Chipped. As much as I enjoy it, I just have a lot of stuff going on right now family-wise (my mom having some health issues) and work-wise (business is busy!) that makes it hard to get the daily chocolate photos up, so I'm gonna wait til things settle down and then maybe start it up again.

First off these look sooo easy--they're easier than rice crispy treats, I think. And they look more upscale--you could easily serve these for dessert to guests or give these bars as a gift.

I'm telling you Nigella could sell ice to an Eskimo--she has got me drooling over these brownies in the first 30 seconds!

I do like the idea of taking brownies up a few notches--not that plain brownies can ever be bad, but I LOVE when there are chips in the brownies. These have chocolate and white chocolate chips in there, so it has extra complexity.

You have no idea how many hours I've spent looking for a delish photo and recipe for a chocolate covered caramel apple (and just in time for Halloween!)

This one is from Rachel at Coconut & Lime--the photos are stunning!

And notice that there is no pool of caramel at the bottom--there is apparently a trick to that that I have never been able to master.

Not that extra caramel is a bad thing--it tastes good, but I have to admit that this caramel apple looks neat and tidy and not messy at all.

I LOVE waffles, but it is true that it's not that easy to get the batter right.

Last time I was at my sister's house we used a waffle batter mix, and it turned out icky and flavorless--not what we were going for!

So when I saw this ingenius devil's food cake batter waffle idea, I was jumping up and down for joy!
