I had been looking for a ladies watch that has the two colors, silver and gold together. I also require a watch that is water resistant, too. I found the perfect watch when I discovered this Bulova. The Bulova name was familiar to me because my grandfather always bought Bulovas for their quality. The styling of this watch is classic, and I have recieved so many compliments on it. The silver actually has a beautiful pewter tone to it, which adds a rich look to the bracelet. My jeweler removed four links to size it for me, and I wear this watch everyday. It is working perfectly and compliments whatever color jewelry I wear. I love the open design of the bracelet, and the easy read watch face, that has ALL of the numbers. Amazon had the best price, too. In my opinion, this watch is a "perfect purchase".

I really like this watch; I got it for working out and jogging. I think it has a nice pleasant look to it, unlike many digital watches, and it is very comfortable to wear. Watch is very lightweight and the band looks very handsome. Has everything you really need, two time zones, timer, stopwatch, daily alarm, indiglo. I use the stopwatch to time how long my tea brews, and the timer to keep myself from burning things in the oven. The alarm has no snooze, so I wouldn't rely on that to wake you up, but perhaps you could use the alarm as a reminder to do something. For 15 bucks, this watch is a great buy.

Well, this coming August is going to be 5 years wearing, using and abusing this watch. No problems so far with it, the battery is still strong (the back light feature has not dimmed at all) and water resistance is definitively there. I use it at least once a week for swimming in a pool, and I have taken it a few times for short dives in the ocean. Some people dismissed the data bank feature as "useless" or "a thing of the past" just because we have now so many other devices (blackberries, iphones, even regular cell phones). However, I still use my wrist watch to store critical, usually short information such as alarm passwords (like my office's, which is changed monthly), password combinations for banking, websites, etc. I guess I could use my cell phone for that as well, but in terms of retrieving, nothing beats a look at the wrist and pressing a couple of buttons! My only big complain with this watch over 5 years is how easily the crystal picks up scratches. I have to admit that I am partly to blame for that. I've used it on several rough camping trips, and I have no pitty on the watch when it comes to using it...just love it. I hope I can give another update in 5 years, possibly with the battery still alive.

- Update, July 1st 2010: Well, now officially well into the second quinquennium, I can only say that the watch just keep on going, no problems to report, just a few more scratches than a year ago. The 10-year battery life looks more and more like a reality for this little jewel.

-Update, June 2011: OK, this is a good run for the watch. After 7 years, the battery finally died. No complaints; 7 out of 10 years is not bad at all. Highly recommended time piece.

The Cartier Tank watch is a standard that began the style of these watches. Beautiful elegant styling that is a perfect gift. In my case it was a graduation gift for my wife who worked very hard at getting a degree as a working adult.

I've owned this watch for 2 months now with no problems. The picture on Amazon really does not do this watch justice. This watch is beautiful and very solid. The minute and hour hands are glow in the dark, the case is a heavy, solid stainless steel and the band is a very high quality thick rubber. The rubber wrist band has "EMPORIO ARMANI" impressed into the band. The lettering is about 1/4 the size of the band width, which isn't too big. I'm usually not a fan of over zealous branding on my products, but I don't think in this case it detracts from the overall look of the watch. The dial has a very nice raised design that you can see up close in the light. It isn't anything someone other than you will notice while wearing the watch, but it is a nice touch.
I was looking for a watch that I could wear casually everyday that would look good, that I wouldn't be too paranoid about scratching (so I didn't want anything with a chrome finish) and that I would just be comfortable wearing. This is the perfect watch for that. My main concern was the band was made out of rubber and I've never owned a watch without a leather or metal band. But this is definitely not the kind of cheap rubber watch band that you find on lower end Swatches or anything like that and I think the black band actually looks better than a silver metal band would.

(REAL NAME) After you use it for about a month the chronograph 60 Mins will never return back to Zero. I sent it to TX Armani watch center, but a month later, the problem came back. All in all, it is a designer watch, but it ran really bad. Buy it for style, not for timing.

The Bulova Story

I bought this for my wife. The Crystals really makes it an eye catcher.

One thing to note that this doesn't fit with formal wear. But goes perfectly with golden jwellery (especially with Indian wear.)
My wife got nice appreciations for this.

Some time ago I have sworn that I will only use solar-powered watches that synchronize time with atomic clocks. Initially only quite expensive and 'stylish' models were available, but wearing a timepiece worth several hundred bucks while doing work around the house makes you constantly worried that you scratch precious thing.
This watch is under $100 and has all the benefits of its more expensive 'brothers':
- Solar powered quite efficiently - with normal daily exposure to light I'm always at the 'max charge' level (of course living in sunny Nevada helps here).
- Time synchronization with the 5 radio transmitters all over the world (

- Time signal reception is excellent in Nevada, bot inside the buildings and outside. From my previous experiences it should mean good reception throughout the West Coast and (maybe!) some problems inside solid-construction buildings in New England and Florida.
- Unlike some cheap models of watches and clocks, this one reads Daylight Savings Time data straight from the radio signal, so it 'springs ahead' and 'falls back' at the correct dates. Some older clocks have hard-coded DST transition dates and are confused after the recent DST changes in the

USA

.
- I love 'Auto EL' feature: the watch turns on Electro-Luminescent back light for two seconds when it is dark and the wearer positions hand appropriately. Perfect for the movies, night flights and similar situations.
- I usually prefer metal bands, but resin band in this model is surprisingly good quality and wears OK.
- Button operation seems to be reliable so far.
- The glass is scratch resistant and placed recessed in the metal panel - so far I managed to keep it clear, which is unusual for me.

I was looking for a watch that I can rely on in both business and outdoor use. With solar power and atomic timekeeping, I can trust that it will always have power and always be exactly on time. What more could you want in a watch? Well, a countdown timer for cooking and exercise needs, a tough glass dial window, a stainless steel bezel and a resin band that won't muck up from hand washing.

In terms of style I was looking for a watch that was clean and functionally elegant (with the functions I need). I looked at analog watches, digital watches, mechanical and kinetic. It came down to very expensive kinetic chronographs, the analog/digital mix watches or this. For the price, I'd rather have a watch that does digital well, than the mixed bag of the analog digital watches. Looks good, easy to read.

In terms of power I removed it from the box, kept the Auto EL (automatic backlight) feature on and haven't thought twice about keeping my cuffs up or keeping it in the sun and it's still going strong. I've had it for a month now and it's at medium power. I'll give it a short stint in the sun to bring it back to full power and not give it another though.

Atomic timekeeping works flawlessly inside with no aiming necessary on the east coast and here in Colorado.

Again - what more could you want in a watch?

Great simple watch, July 17, 2007

I bought one of these a couple years ago in Singapore. I love it. It is my staple everyday watch. They are tough and withstand a fair bit of abuse. I wore mine while training and flying aerobatics up to 6Gs. Still works. The movement does tend to be fast, some say by 5 to 15 sec per day. My experience is that I notice it is running fast by a few minutes every little while and then I correct it. Not an issue especially since it is an automatic watch. If I go more than a day without wearing or shaking it, it stops anyway, so who needs longterm accuracy?

I love it. I'm buying a second one in dark green. ...May start a collection.

This watch comes in 4 models, SNK 803 with a beige strap and dial, SNK 805 with a green strap and dial, SNK 807 with a blue strap and dial, and SNK 809 with a black strap and dial. What I like most is the red tip on the seconds hand that sweeps continuously across the dial and not in steps for every second like in most analog watches. Also cool is the untraditional numbering of the hour markings, where the 5-minutes are more protruding than the hours. The strap looks better in the photos than in reality, but it's still very nice and tough-looking, although it is narrower than you think when you see it on the guy's arm in the pictures above. The see-through case is a gimmick I could do without, but anyway, nice to watch the watch work. Buy all four and you have one to go with every occasion and dress colour/code. This item sells on eBay for 30-40 dollars.
