Liar Liar Pants on Fire!

So, we've all heard it. And im sure we've all said it.
This childhood line we would tease our friends with.
Well it came running through my mind the other day, after I decided to tell a little white lie.
Why do we color them honestly? A lie is a Lie is a Lie.
But we somehow down play the fact, "o well it was just a little one so no harm no fowl right."
Im begging to think that's far from the truth.
So the other day when the holy spirit convicted me of what i just did and then that little saying came to mind, Liar Liar pants on fire...
Immediately I thought wow Lord, how easy it was for me to lie and not even miss a beat.
Praise God for conviction!
I repented of my lie and the Lord has just been taking me through some scriptures concerning lies.
Such as;
Proverbs 12:20,21,22
Lips that tell the truth will last forever, but a lying tounge last only a little while.
Lying is in the heart of those who plan what is bad, but those who plan peace have joy.
The Lord hates lying lips, but those who speak truth are his Joy.

And after all is not satan the king of lies.

I don't know why im sharing this, but really sin is sin no matter how big or small.
The Lord is so amazing, after we are saved, he doesn't want us to stay in sin, which is why he sent the Holy Spirit to help us through every single day!
Its just absolutely amazing!!

Now of course we are human, and we will sin
but ive heard it like this.. "we will never be sinless, but we can sin-less"
So if the holy spirit convicts you of something, take heart and know that a loving Father corrects his child because he loves them!
Dont get caught up in guilt because thats not from God.
Repent, and move forward.

Listen to the Holy-Spirit He is an amazing comfort and helper.

The Pull of Love

I saw this picture recently and it reminded me of a dream I had one night. It was a beautiful dream. I was in Heaven, and I was being pulled or drawn to something. I could feel my spirit being pulled and just surrounded by love, not just a feeling of love but like a complete source, a tangible-thick love. I looked ahead and saw Jesus standing on water, and I began to cry. I couldn't stop crying, and I just said, Jesus is that you? And instantly he was hugging me, just wrapped me completely in his arms. It was so amazing, and I didn't want to leave, but i felt my spirit going back, almost like I was being pulled back to my body. But it was absolutely amazing the way I could feel the spirit of God pulling me towards Jesus, and Just being wrapped up in Love.

When I awoke i was just like wow! That's how God is, just complete Love and he pulls us towards him, to love us. We were created to be next to him, to be loved by him.

He is the true source of Love, and we could never compare it to anything here in the world. Because his love is so much better, so much more than anything!

I want to encourage you, don't fight his pull. If God is tugging on your heart, answer him and let him pull you to him in a new and exciting way! Let him love you today!!

Fear God, Honor the King

God brought this verse to mind last night..
Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.
1 Peter 2:17

When I read this Verse it makes me think of the Medieval era, knights and kings and castles.
The honor they had for their God, their King and their soldiers.

Fear of God.

what does it mean to fear God? Lets take a look at the Word of God..

Luke 12:4-7

New International Version (NIV)

⁴ “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. ⁵ But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. ⁷ Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

So right away we see, Don't fear men.
Fear God, the one who has the authority over your soul.
But to not be "afraid" because you know that you are worth more than sparrows in Gods eyes.
God in fact knows how many hairs are on your head, or not on your head, depending on your style.

How can you not be afraid of God yet fear him?
Simple.
lets look at this fun word;
reverence; –noun

a feeling or attitude of deep respect tinged with awe;veneration.

the outward manifestation of this feeling: to pay reverence.

a gesture indicative of deep respect; an obeisance, bow, orcurtsy.

When you have reverential fear of God, you are in awe of him.

Cant find anything God created to stand in awe of? Just step outside for a moment and take a look at the sky, when you take a look around you I mean Nature itself portrays of Gods beauty and wonder.

Not to mention, God sent his very own child to die on your behalf to take upon himself the sin that we fell into so we in fact could have the opportunity of life (life worth living now, and here after..) but more on this later, lets read on...

okay basically, when you fear God, you have no need to fear men.

You have no need to fear circumstance, or anything else in this world.

When you fear God, you can let all your "afraid" go.

I'm afraid of ________ no longer!!

And if its God who you are "frightened" of then I'm sorry to say but you have not come to a true relationship with him and its probably not God you fear but death.

Because He created you, he loves you and he sent his very own child to die on your behalf so that you can have a chance at a true relationship with him, so that you as well can call him father.

He wants nothing more then to take care of you and show you the love he has for you.

But we always get to choose.

The Choice to reverently fear God, and see his love mercy,grace, favour, and everything else that God gives.
Or love the things in the world, and have fear, anxieties, worries, and everything else that the world offers.

When you fear men, you want to please them so you get caught up in pleasing people and they become your source of love

When you fear failure, you get caught up in success, so you need to "be someone" in order to feel loved, appreciated and satisfied.

When you fear death, your "afraid" of God which is legit, because he's the one with the authority to send you to hell. Because when you choose to separate yourself from him, how can he know you when you kept yourself away from him?

I've heard it like this before, a stranger knocking on your door one day, asking to come in, you say No, I'm sorry I don't know you. Yet the stranger insist they know you and that this in fact is there house also, yet you repeat yourself no, I'm sorry I do not know you. And eventually if they do not go, you have to call the cops and make them leave. But that's what its like when you separate yourself from God your whole life, yet when death comes, you will knock on his door, and he will tell you I don't know you, away from me!

That's why he sent Jesus Christ because when you live in Christ, God will recognize his own son in you, (which is why if you deny Christ he will deny you) because your own works don't get you into the kingdom but only his Son will stand on your behalf! Okay I could post on this more and more but really, bottom line/ending sentence..

Fear God reverently, Honor your King (Jesus) and those in Authority,and always, Love one another deeply

Looking in the sky, its impossible for me to deny that there is a God and that you are here wih us. Your beauty surrounds us, and the more I search for your face, the more I see you each day. The more I try to find you the more you uncover yourself to me. I wake up thinking, wow, God is amazing and how is he going to appear today? And each day, I see you, either by the clouds in the sky, the wave and smile of the stranger I drive by, the voice of a friend, the encouragement from a family member, the laughter from my children, or the prayers I see answered right in front of me, I know you are here, I know you are watching over us, and I am so grateful to know you, to see you and hear your voice!Thank you God for reviling yourself to me each day, Thank you Jesus Christ for dying so I could have the privilege to know God in such a personal way. You take my breath away.

Shine Your Light

Beautiful Feet

Shake your Salt Shaker

Just relaxing this morning and saw my moms salt shaker sitting on the table, and the sun was hitting it just right it looked so neat. So i had to take a picture.

Then the Bible verse came into mind,

Matthew 5:13-16
13"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.

what is it that you seek?

People all around are searching for love.

I hear it more each day.

Things like, I just want to be loved, to know love, give love and all you need is love.

They turn to people to find love, to things to give them ease.

To money to make there heart jump, to sex to please their need.

Or some even the other extreme,

self-love and all they need is ME.

But in reality all of this is falsity.

Man-made hypocrasy,

the true creator of Love is Love itself.

And GOD is who we seek.

For God is love, and love is God.

There is no inbetween.

God is the one we crave,

the one our heart is yearning for.

The only thing we need.

And until we learn to agree and meet him at his feet.

We will just wander around this world pretending that its just love we seek.

Just people to help please our needs or maybe just some more new things.

Until you meet the true source of love;

the living almighty King,

you will never be complete.

FAITH*ACTION*POWER to be BLESSED

FAITH * takes ACTION* releasing God's POWER* This can only happen when we come TRUTHFULLY to Jesus*

(Mark 5:27,28)

The women who was ill heard the reports of Jesus, and while he was walking in the crowd, she came up behind him and touched his garment.. For she kept saying, "if I only touch his garments, I shall be restored to health"

Her FAITH * She knew that if she could only touch him, she would be healed

Her ACTION * She reached out and touched him

(Mark 5:29)

Immediately her flow of blood was dried on the source, and suddenly she felt in her body that she was healed of her aliment.

(Mark 5:30)

And Jesus recognizing in himself that the power proceeding from him had gone forth, turned around immediately in the crowd and said, "Who touched my clothes?"

Gods POWER * Flowed from Jesus and Healed the women, and Jesus looked around for her who had the faith to reach out and touch him in the crowd to be healed.

Think about it * Am I reaching out to Jesus? grabbing his attention? or am I just sitting on the sidelines, hoping he will see me? Its my job to have faith, and reach out, and surely he will always supply my needs if i have faith and trust in Him.

(Mark 5:31,32)

And there was a crowd of people so the disciples kept saying to him, You see the crowd all around you from all sides, and you ask who touched me? Still Jesus kept looking around to see her who had done it...

Think about it * usually the people around us wont see whats truly going on, and they will always question us, we need to stand firm in the Lord and know who we are in Christ Jesus!

(Mark 5:33-34)

But the woman knowing what had been done for her, though alarmed and frightened and trembling, fell down before him and told him the whole truth. And he told her, Daughter, your faith (your trust and confidence in me, springing from faith in God) has restored your health. Go in peace and be continually healed and freed from your disease.

Think about it * fear started to take over, yet she fell down before Jesus, and spoke truthfully to him. We can never have a true relationship with Jesus unless we are willing to come before him and speak truthfully about who we are and what we have done. He already knows everything, but when we speak truthfully with him and are aware of it ourself, it helps us to move forward and see the Love that God has for us.

Finger in the rearview

LETS GO!!

I know we all have had these mornings. Rushing to get out the door, in my case its usually to get my kids to school on time. Sometimes we can be a bit unaware of the things we do when were in a rushed state of mind. I know mornings can be one of my most hectic times of my day. Which is exactly why i'm going to be making more of an effort to spend time with God before I spend time with anyone else, because its so easy to slip into a rush and not see the people around us. Which I literally did this morning, driving my kids to the bus. Making a left hand turn as I cut off the jeep behind me. Whoops! Didn't mean to at the time, I honestly did not see the car coming when I turned out while talking to my children about what they may or may not have forgotten to put in their book bags but, sure enough, as soon as I was straightened out and looked in my rear-view mirror, there she was right up behind me. And I though oh shoot i'm so sorry as if she could hear me. I really didn't think anymore of it, until I made my turn to the bus stop and low and behold in my mirror I see her lovely middle finger as she looks straight my way and passes by. At first I was like Jeez, really come on now! But then a peace filled my heart and I said a little prayer, hoping that God blessed her today, and she got where she needed to be on time. Now stay with me here, I know it sounds a little weird and she really was acting like a child when she threw her little finger fit, but how many times I wonder do I unwillingly anger people? I don't want to be in such a rush that I don't see the people around me and I certainly don't want to anger them. Now, I know some people are just angry all the time and there is really nothing you can do about it, nothing you say nor do will change there anger. Its a problem they have in their own heart but I refuse to make excuses for myself to look another way and treat people harsh. In all honesty, I'm sure she was probably just another mom, in a rush, with a hectic morning and trying to make it to her job or kids to school on time and here I come out of no where in my own mind and busyness and cut her off while she was already behind schedule. Was the finger appropriate, no, but really it was a lesson learned for me. I don't want to be in such a rush that I don't see the person around the corner, the one who needs a prayer or a smile or a kind word. Most importantly I don't want to anger another because of my lack of compassion, and truly this experience reminds me how many times others angered me without even realizing it, and how I could sit and be upset over what they have done, or just choose to give it to God and move on. I encourage you today to not be easily angered, but when someone comes against you know God has it under control, he sees everything and he's on your side! Instead of being angry try to think the best about people, and know we are all the same in the Lords eyes. He loves all of us unconditionally and we may do things that he might not be happy with but he still loves us to wholeness! After all who was worse off, the busy woman who cut off the jeep, or the busy women who gave the durango her pretty middle finger? We both were in the wrong and we both were in a rush. God sees us all equally, so have compassion with people, and realize were all imperfect we all need Christ to help us through each and every day.

Broken Glass

"Hi! I'm Kelli, and I was a broken mess. No seriously, I've been shattered to pieces like a glass dish. You know when you break a dish and you end up spreading pieces all over the floor!! It gets so aggravating because you end up finding pieces weeks later. Well I'm kind of like that. Except I'm finally allowing myself to be put back together. But I'm not allowing just anyone or anything to fix me up. No, not this time. See I've tried that and never could get all the pieces back right. This time my God is in control of putting me back together. See he's the only one who can do it right, he's the only one who knows exactly which piece goes where, and how much glue to use. He knows these things because he created me. He made me the way I was so hes the only one who can put me back the way I need to be. But now that I'm back together, I've noticed these cracks all throughout my self. These cracks show my faith, show the struggle I went through. Some would say they add to my character. So although I was once a broken mess, scattered throughout this world, trying to find each piece in different areas of my life. It wasn't until I met my creator, that I could finally be fixed, restored and renewed. It wasn't until I let God back in control that I could finally be me. So hello, my name is Kelli.. I'm cracked, cautious, and a little damaged. But with God in my life, I can conquer anything, even a little broken glass."
