Sun protection for your skin type.

Of course it's nice to build up an tanned skin for this summer, but a good protection is very important. More and more people will have to deal with the negative effects of UVA radiation. You can read here which kind of sun protection is right for your skin type.

Skin type 1:
You have a very pale skin, many freckles, blond or light red hair and a light eye color. You burn quickly in the sun and you almost never get very brown.

Protection: This skin type don't make a lot of protective pigment and protection is necessary. Lubricate your body at least once every 3 hours with factor 30. Don't lay in the sun for too long but find a nice seat in the shadow. Sunglasses, hats and scarves are necessary when you want to protect this skin type.

Skin type 2:
You have, just like skin type 1, a light skin, blond hair and a light eye color. You burn quickly, but after 2 weeks in the sun you've built up a light tan.
Protection: Also with this skin type it's important that you use plenty of sun cream. Use a sun cream with factor 20 every 3 hours.

Skin type 3:
You have a naturally light skin, but you get brown very soon. You have dark eyes, dark hair and a lot of pigment. But sometimes your skin will slightly burn after a day of baking on the beach.
Protection: With your skin type, you can achieve a beautiful complexion, but a good protection is still very important. Despite your skin will quickly turns brown, you will also burn sometimes.
With this type of skin you have to smear by a factor of 10 to 15.

Skin type 4:
You have dark eyes, brown or black hair and an olive to mocha-colored skin. After laying in the sun for an hour, you will have a wonderful summer skin.
Protection: This skin type can still be quite dangerous. Many women with skin Type 4 don't use sun cream. Good protection is importan although you won't burn easily. Sun cream isn't only necessary for people with light skin. A good protection also will prevent skin aging. No fewer than 4 in 5 wrinkles are caused by UVA radiation. So use a good rub factor between 5 and 10!

Skin type 5 and 6:
You have an Asian or African descent and have a dark to very dark skin. You have deep brown eyes and black hair. You will almost never burn.
Protection: Although you have a brown skin, protection is still very important. Skin cancer and skin aging UVA radiation is not confined to white people. If you spend a day in the sun, cover your regular than in a factor of 5.

Of course it's important to take good care of your skin and use a higher factor than the minimum your skin need. Each skin needs a good protection and no one should spend too much time in the sun. Love, Annika

I know so many girls who don’t like how they look like, even though they are beautiful. It’s okay to feel sad sometimes, but why would you feel sad about the way you look? Girls, I don't know if boys do too, always feel unhappy about their weight. It's not that necessary as you think it is. It's just good to be healthy. YOU are beautiful. You probably always say to everyone else that the inside is more important than the outside. But why would you change your own outside then? People won’t like or love you more if you would look different. Do you really think that your family, your boyfriend or your friends would love you more if you were thinner? Please stop thinking that. Do you really want to be more beautiful than you are now? Than just be happy with yourself, nobody will like you if you don’t even like yourself. It’s not good to stop eating. Why would you stop eating?

You were born to live, to live happy, to enjoy things. And to live, you need energy, how do you get energy? To eat! If you won’t eat anything, than your body will become so tired, and you’ll be more sad. So you won’t be doing anything anymore. Do you want that? If you want to be healthy thin, Then eat healthy. Let someone help you, but never ever ever ever starve yourself. That’s the biggest mistake you can make. It's so bad for your body, and after you loose all the weight, and you start to eat normal again, you'll only receive more weight than you did before! You ARE beautiful, even though you aren’t the thinnest girl on the world.
But who wants to be the thinnest girl on earth? To be honest, do you think it’s beautiful to have a body like a 6 year old girl? When you're much older? No, that's not normal. So please, read this again and again if you feel sad or you want to lose weight because you don’t like the way you look. It’s not the most important thing to lose weight, girl. The most important thing is that you feel confident about yourself, and if you are. If you like the way you are, other people will like you too. You can't describe beauty in just one word. It's different for everyone else. But there is beauty in everything, just not everybody sees it. You create beauty with your attitude, your behavior and your actions. Not with the way you look like, so it's all up to you!

Make-up trends summer 2012.

The fashion trends for next season are already completely known but do you also know the makeup trends for the summer of 2012? The most makeup trends for summer 2012 are meant for the eyes. They are made up in bright colors like pink and green, but there are also lots of glitters and of course we can't forget the cat eyes! But there're also quiet makeup trends like the natural look. I'll put them in a list for you.

NATURAL.
The natural look is back. The less makeup you use the better it will look. No thick layers of foundation or heavy eye make-up. Your all ready beautiful enough with a little bit mascara. This statement was proven during the shows of Stella McCartney and Chloe. D & G still added a thin line eyeliner and processed by Missoni and Christopher Kane there was even no makeup at all.

DOLLS.
The makeup trends of summer 2012 also shows that dolls are great to base your make-up on.The models of Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton get a pink color on there lips and fake lashes for larger glance, to get the dolls look. I really like the dolls look, but there are also people who go too trying to look like a perfect doll.

FULL EYEBROWS.
Full eyebrows in place of thin lines. In this look they need to be bushy, thick and dark. Let them grow in their natural form, use creamy eye shadow and a dark eye pencil to your eyebrows to attract the attention. This look was spotted at shows of Diane von Furstenberg and Versace.

CAT EYES.
In the list of the makeup trends of summer 2012 we can't forget the cat eyes. The classic eyeliner with a line pointing upwards and beautiful lashes you will get these cats look in no time. The cat eyes look was seen a lot at Louis Vuitton and D & G.

RAINBOW LIPS.
Brightly colored lips are trendy. Next season you can let your lips stand out. And of course the classic red colour is still very popular, but if we consult the Topshop Unique, Moschino Cheap and Chic bright pink, orange and even an cool blue color are becoming the new red. Personally I really love these outstanding lip colours, not only for on the catwalk but also in normal life.

POPPING EYES.
Beside outstanding lips we saw popping eyes. Green eye shadow eyelashes at Vivienne Westwood, blue colored eyes from Moschino Cheap and Chic, purple eyeliner at Cacharel and even hot pink fake lashes at Viktor & Rolf. Stars like Rihanna and Katy Perry already love the colored eye makeup.

GOLD AND SILVER.
Glitters on your eyes, eyebrows and lips are becomming popular this year. Fendi used gold in the makeup, just like Just Cavalli, we saw many eyes with gold glitter. And on the catwalk of Phillip Lim the faces of the models were decorated with silver stripes.

When it's warmer outside, everyone is much happier. I don't know if you've already noticed it, but everyone is wearing bright colors. More red, orange, green and stuff. Not many black clothes, so stop polishing your nails in the same color as you used to do! You pick out earrings, necklaces, rings and hats to complement your style every day. Why not polish? Everyone will see your nails. So why wouldn't you make something special out of your nail polish? Do something different then just polishing your nails in one color. Try something else! Get your nails set for summer with these ideas. :)

1. Silver Lining.
You can make a silver lining in stead of a white line. It looks very chic if you polish it right. It's also a fun way to try the metallic trend without looking overpowering. To get this look, invest in a nice metallic color and in a french manicure brush or a nail art brush. These are available at most beauty supply stores. And finish with a topcoat, to let your nails shine a little bit more.

2. Ombré.
The ombré trend isn't just for you hair, but also cool for you nails! You can use three polishes. Apply the darkest shade on the bottom of the nail, and the lightest ate the tips last, overlapping each coat a little. And again, finish with a topcoat to lock the design. Ombré can be very hard to do. But you just have to repeat it over and over again. You'll learn!

3. Use stickers.
These are so easy to use, because it doesn't matter in what mood you are. There are so many kind of stickers like, flowers, stars, celebrities (yes, you can have famous people on your nails!). You can get them everywhere. It doesn't matter what kind of nail color you got under the sticker. That's your own choice!

4. Detailed Patterns.
Use a toothpick dipped in polish to make detailed patterns. Just make sure the base color is completely dry before drawing the patterns And have fun with different patterns. If there's a print in your wardrobe you wear a lot, put it on your nails! Be creative :)

I’m guessing that you probably feel the same way about them as I did when I first noticed them they are so fashionable and wearable for every average girl.It just takes a little bit of creative styling! high waist shorts are popular this summer. Last winter we saw a lot of high waisted pants in the shops. This summer, the seventies-inspired shorts are totally hot. You can find these lovely shorts in all kind of versions. From ultra-comfortable lightweight fabrics to studded denim. You can wear them casual chic to your work or on a relaxed summer day.

How to wear these shorts? Put your shirt or blouse in your short so your high waist short will get more attention. With an oversized top to get an rocky result. You can wear the chic onesin combination with a silk blouse, a pair of heels or leather lace-up shoes and a short blazer. You can also wear these shorts with a T-shirt with print and a flat shoe to get the bohemian look.

How to: walk in high heels.

Though many of us love high heels, others don't wear them very often. Some don't dare to wear high heels, while others simply don't know when they should wear them. But walking in high heels is not that difficult, and with a bit of practice, you'll stepping out in high heels in no time.

First practice just standing in high heels. In front of a full length mirror, stand for a while, then turn slightly to each side. Now you can check your posture and get accustomed to the extra height of the heel. Take a few steps in your high heels.
If possible, do this at first on a hard floor or in a room with carpeting, as really thick or padded carpeting can throw off your balance. As you walk in high heels, remember to keep your legs straight and as close together as possible. With each step, point your feet as straight in front of you as you can. Start off with slow steps at first, being extra conscientious of each step. As you build confidence and experience walking in high heels, it will become much more natural.

Continue walking back and forth across the room, turning different directions, and stopping without wobbling on your high heels. Once you're comfortable with this, try the same thing on different floor surfaces, and remember to start off slowly with each one. When it comes to actually walking comfortably, practice, practice, practice. If you haven't ever worn high heels, or you are already comfortable in high heels, this sounds silly. But trust me, the first time you put them on, you'll see what I mean.

The summer is coming and that means it's bikini time! Before you shop you need to know which styles are most likely to flatter your figure. Rather than buy a bikini because you like the look of it, be willing to try on a number of different styles, even those that do not appeal to you on the hanger. Often the plainest and most boring bikinis can look surprisingly flattering on.
Would you like to attract the attention to another part of your body than your belly? Make sure you choose a bikini with a outstanding bodice. For example, choose a design with bright colours
(this also makes your breasts look bigger). It's also convenient to choose a high or a bikini bottom with a correcting working. Do you have very short legs and want that this to be less noticeable? Then you can choose for a tiny bikini bottom, this will make your legs look longer. Do you have a fat ass and don't want to show this? Then choose a boxer or corrective bikini bottom. Someone with thick thighs could choose for a surf short.

Triangular, spaghetti-strap tops are better suited to women with small busts. Bikini tops with soft padding can add curves and confidence, providing a lift for small breasts. Fashion Against Aids by H&M

Like every year (this is the fifth edition) H&M will launch a collection that will raise money against aids. The collection brings up a lot of money every year and it's a huge success. I hope H&M will continue this kind of collections. I love it, buying some nice clothes and at the same time supporting a charity! 25% of the Fashion Against Aids collection proceeds goes to the HIV/aids projects from Designer against Aids, UNFPA, MTV's Staying Alive Foundation and Youthaids.

Like every year the collection is based on the festival season. In the collection you'll see a lot of ethnic prints and colors. The collection is available on April 26 at the Devided department and at the online shop (H&M online shop). Many artists and designers have contributed to this project and that has led to a nice end result.
In addition to clothing, the collection also sells accessories like hats, sneakers, jewelry, IPhone cases, hammocks and patches.
Here is a sneak peak of the Fashion Against Aids collection. I really like the bikini, the wedges and the skirt. Do you think you're going to buy something from this collection?

You can't eat or sleep, feel butterflies in your stomach and get clammy hands when you see him or her? This is what they call love! But what happens when you're in love? And how do you know if you're in love? Here is the answer!There already have bin a lot of research about love, but it's still not clear why people fall in love with eachother. Several investigators have shown that smell plays an important role in choosing a lover. A woman seems to smell the other person, to smell if he / she is a potential lover. Boys and girl go trough the same experience when they fall in love. Not able to eat and sleep, being hyperactive and happy, no ability to concentrate, butterflies in your stomach and very clumsy behaviour in front of your love. These are all signs of love. These signs of love are caused by certain substances in your body that are released when you're head over heels in love.

Your brain create different types of hormones and neurotransmitters. Examples are adrenaline, dopamine and endorphins. Many of these substances are also found in drugs, so actually you can say you can be addicted to love. This explanes why it hurts so much when you end up a relationship. Your body has used to get these substances and is suddenly out of it. You will cry and feel anything but happy, but that´s normal cause most people only stay in love for about a year. Then your crush will change in to loving someone.

When you've broken heart, you feel so terrible because your body is not getting love drugs. Then you can eat chocolate, laughi, work out or cuddle a good friend. When you do these things your body will make the same substances like when you´re in love, this will soften your pain.

After reading this you will know that falling in love isn't just a nice feeling. It´s a very mysterious and beautiful process, but the most important thing is that you enjoy it and just have a really good time.

Because it's spring and the sun will shine (finally!) and the weather will be much better than now, you'll probably wear sandals again. What means; everyone will see your feet again! So how do you let your feet look nice and provided before you'll wear sandals? The following are some tips to keep your feet look clean and nice.

♥ Wash your feet everyday!
♥ Keep the nails short and clean, maybe you could use a nice nail polish.
♥ If your nails aren't that beautiful itself, you can buy a special nail oil for dry nails.
♥ Use a feet cream or lotion every day, this will help your feet look less dry.
♥ Treat your feet with a foot bath as much as possible.
♥ Walk barefoot as much as possible
♥ Never walk on shoes that are too small. It hurts walking on small shoes and it's not
good for your feet. It can even deform your nails!
♥ In some stores you can buy a foot mask, this will help to make your feet look clean and soft.
♥ If you have time you can go to a professional pedicure or a beautician. Just to treat yourself!
Or go with friends, it's fun and it's good for you!

These tips can also work for your hands and in the end it will all be worth it!

Often you don’t know what a boy wants or think about you, if you take a good look at his body language it can make a lot clear. Here is a short list what will teach you how to read his body language:

- When a boy move his feet back and forth, he is nervous. Maybe, you can help to let him feel more comfortable.
- He turns his head into your way? He likes you very much and wanna let you know that he's interested in you.

- When he takes a look over your sholder before he answers your question, this has nothing to do with any pretty girl behind you. He just wants to be honest with you and tell the truth!

- When a guy sees you and immediatly turns your way, he finds you interesting as hell.

- If a boy says he's busy at the beginning of the date, it says nothing. When he say the same words when the date is over, it means he wanna go as fast as possible..

- When he's coping your body language, you can see it as a compliment. He wants you!

- When his voice get a little higher while he talks, he is insecure and don't stand behind his choice.

- When he always calls your name it's not because he thinks your so nice or something like that, it's because he's a manipulator!

I guess you already heard of the Peter Pan collar. I see it everywhere, not as much on the streets but I do see it on the Internet and I love it! It isn't really the same collar as Peter Pan has but it does look like it. The collar is one of the top items this fashion season and I think it's a very successful trend. The collar may be look a little bit too sweet or too girly, but if you wear it at the right way, it is chic, noticeable and for women on any age.

There are a lot of versions of this Peter Pan collar. The lace versions of the Peter Pan collar are very chic but you can also choose for a collar that is adorned with bead or rhinestones.
The collar seems to be the perfect accessory this fashion season. Some girls wear it to school, just above a sweater and a skirt. But you can also wear it chic and feminine above a nice blouse.
I think this Peter Pan Collar is a cute accessory and you can wear it on so many different ways! Sometimes it's already in the clothing itself, but sometimes you can buy a collar just 'alone'.
A lot of celebrities are wearing it too, Alexa Chung has been wearing one almost every day. Also YouTube is littered with DIY videos explaining how to make your own for nothing. Do you think you're going to buy one or are you going to make one by yourself?

How to: look good in pictures.

You're at a party or on the road and what happens there? People take many pictures and of course there will be some nice ones, or not? Everybody know that moment when you're looking at a photo of yourself and think ''oh my god, do i really look like this?''. Most women think they are not that photogenic, but ofcourse there are some tips and tricks wich will make you look a little more nicer and more elegant at pictures. You can read them below.

- Just before a photo is taken, breathe deeply and smile while posing or exhale. Bye bye double chin!

- Turn your face a little bit for a picture, your face will look so much better from aside.

- Study pictures where you find yourself look beautiful then try to take the same position when taking a picture.

- If you wanna look slimmer, put one foot before the other, keep your arms away from your body, stand up straight and pull your shoulders down.
- Never use too much powder or glitter it can be very reflecting on your picture or your face can look very flat.

- While taking a group picture, you will look the thinest on the sidewith one arm around someone and hold your other arm low.
- Do you want less chubby cheeks on a picture? Take the picture from above while you look upwards. - Never take a picture at eye level, your legs will look so much shorter.

- Don't use a neutral or matte lipstick, this will make you look tired and pale.

- A close-up of your face is prettier in black and white than in colour. Always try to look deep in the lens and don't blink your eyes.

Everyone wants or has their own style, probably. Like a style where you can recognize a person from. I love that, but how do you create your own style? Or what is your style? Don't you know what your style is? That can be a problem too. The following are some basics pieces that can help you create your own style. Because, I think, everything begins with just some nice basic pieces. The key to fill your wardrobe successfully is to buy clothes that work together effortlessly! The items can be a basis for your wardrobe.

1. A Great-Fitting jeans.
A great fitting denim jeans can't be missed in your wardrobe. Haven't found your perfect jeans yet? There absolutely has to be one great jeans in the world that looks gorgeous on you. I prefer a darker washed denim jeans because they are a little bit more classy. But if you prefer a lighter one then that's fine!

2. White/Black/Grey tanks/tees.
They work under anything, a suit jacket, a blazer, a blouse, you call it! And in summer you can wear them solo. Of course you can also buy one with a nice print.

3. A Blouse.
Some clothes are like forever. And still classy, like the blouse. You can, if you buy a good one, wear it like 10 year long. You can buy just a white classy one, or an oversized one, or one in a beautiful bright color. You can also tuck it into a cute skirt!

4. A little black Dress (LBD)
Black looks good on everybody an you can wear it with anything. If you got a party and you don't really know what to wear you can just wear a LBD! You can add a leather jacket over it, and you've got an edgy outfit. Dress it up, dress it down. This is really a versatile piece of clothing. How you want your dress to look is up to you. The one likes a short one, the other one wants a long dress. Just make sure the dress looks good on your figure!

5. A skirt.
Although not everybody wears a skirt. I think it can be really classy and edgy at the same time. It just depends on how you wear it. You can wear a nice blouse tucked in it, or something else. You choose it!

6. A blazer.
I love this. If you are searching for a perfect one you can search for a simple, classic one or a separate one. Like a boyfriend blazer, oversized one, one in a bright color, one with an embroidery.. anything! Wear it with just a simple T-shirt or a dress, or with a boyfriend jeans. I think this item is indispensable in your wardrobe!

7. Black boots/heels.
You have them in all lenghts: short, medium, tall, over the knee. You can wear them with anything, from skinny jeans to a skirt. It depends on your taste of fashion which one you like. You can't go wrong with black boots/shoes I think. And heels are so classy and feminine... If you can walk on it! So go practice walking on those beautiful high heels that you got before you go outside with them!

8. A coat & (leather)jacket
If you are shopping for a great coat/jacket for the coming season. The most important thing for a coat in the winter is that it keeps you warm. Buy a coat that you love! If it's a red, black, yellow one. It doesn't matter. As long as it keeps you warm and you feel comfortable in it then it's a great coat.
A leather jacket is a cool, edgy garment. Leather is expensive, but it's a long-term investment. If you don't want to or can't pay a real one, then you can always buy a 'fake' leather jacket. I've got one too and I'm loving it.

9. A denim jacket.
Denim denim denim. Everybody wears it. Not only as a jeans but also as a jacket! A denim jacket can really look playful, cool and girly at the same time. You can wear your boyfriend's/brother's/daddy's one for a playful look.

Wear what you want and if you don't like (as an example) a blazer (because it was in this post) than don't buy one! Only buy things because you love it.

Delicious fruit juices and smoothies.

It's a warm sunny day and you're enjoying the sun. Can you imagine anything better than a big glass of fresh fruit juice or a smoothie? It's healthy and refreshing! Here are some simple recipes, all of the recipes are enough for two persons so you can enjoy your homemade drink with a friend.

Tropical fruit juice.
- A mango - A banana - Two apples - A press orange - A passion fruit
Peel the mango and the banana ans wash the apples. Cut the fruit in pieces. Add the mango and the banana in a blender and mash them. Squeeze the juice from the apples and the oranges and add the two juices to the mixture of banana and mango.
Put the juice again in the blender. Cut the passion fruit in two pieces and use a spoon to get the pulp out of it. Divide the juice into two glasses and add the pulp from the passion fruit through it.

Exotic fruit juice.
- Half a pineapple - A mango - A kiwi - Two oranges
Peel the fruit and remove the mango pit. Cut the fruit in pieces and mash them in a blender. Squeeze the two oranges and add the juice to the pureed mixture. Put the mixture for a short time in the blender.

Bananarama juice.
- A banana - A piece of fresh coconut or a teaspoon of dried coconut - A cup of milk - A teaspoon of honey
Peel the banana and cut it into pieces. Put the pieces in a blender and add all the other ingredients. Mash everthing together. Put the juice for a short time in the refrigerator, because he tasted the best when served cold.

Strawberry smoothie.
- 125 grams of strawberries - ¼ liter of ice cream - ½ cup milk
Put the 125 grams of strawberries in a blender and mash them. Add the cream and milk to the strawberries and blend for about twenty seconds.

History of VOGUE Magazine.

Yesterday I watched the movie 'The September Issue'. It's an American documentary film about the behind-the-scenes drama that follows editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and her staff during the production of the September 2007 issue of American Vogue Magazine. Too bad I didn't watch the movie previously. But it was sold out.. everywhere! I loved the movie and I learned a lot about Vogue Magazine. Especially about how it's going on behind the scenes! Very interesting. But what's the history of Vogue Magazine? That wasn't a part of the film. So I'm going to find out what the history of this famous magazine exactly is.

In 1892, Arthur Tunure founded Vogue as a weekly publication (In the United States). When he died in 1909 Condé Montrose Nast picked up the magazine and it slowly became a little bit popular. Mascara is for many girls a favorite beauty product. Mascara makes your eyes stand out and make them look more expressive. But where does this product come from? Below you can read more about the history of mascara.

Mascara has a history that goes back thousands of years. 5000 years ago the Egyptians were already using natural products to make themselves look prettier. They smeared a kind of paint on their eyes and eyelashes to let them stand out. This paint was composed of various substances like carbon, honey, rock and even crocodile poop. But they're not the only one the Romans, Babylonians and Greeks were also big fans of natural products to decorate themselves.

The modern version of the mascara was invented in 1913 by Mr. Williams. His sister Maybel was dumped by her fiancé Chet. Chet was unfaithful and Maybel came to cry out by her brother. Williams was a chemist and decided to develop a product so Maybel will look stunning.He mixed some coal powder and Vaseline and smeared it on Maybel's eye lashes. Maybel looked great and her fiancé Chet came back.Williams saw a golden market and started selling this stuff to other women. He did this under the name Maybelline, a combination of Maybel and Vaseline. Williams sold his product in boxes, women had to putt a wet brush into the mixture, and put it on their eyes. Today we know just a tube with a brush, this method of application is on sale since 1957 and we owe this method to Max Factor and Helena Rubinstein.

How to: perfect cheekbones.

Models as Abbey Lee Kershaw, Kate Moss and Lara Stone (who you can see on the picture). They have one thing in common; beautiful cheekbones. Unfortunately you cannot change your bone structure without any operation, but thank god you can shape your face with makeup! With the following steps your cheekbones will look like the one of a top model.

Step One.

Bring a thin line of a concealer that is a little bit lighter than your own skin on the highest part of your cheekbones. Make sure the line is even wide as your eye. Blur the line with your fingers or a brush so your cheekbones will light up.

Step Two.

Suck your cheeks in like a fish and bring to the deepest part of your cheek a line of concealer that is a few tones darker than your own skin. Start by your ear and en in the middle of your cheek. Blur the line into a shadow. Now your cheekbones will look higher and your cheeks thinner.

Step Three.

Apply as a finishing touch, a little bit of blush on your cheekbones.

The Dutch Vogue

Today, March 21, 2012. The day that the first issue of VOGUE Holland is sold. Well actually, you can only buy the VOGUE today at 'the Bijenkorf'. That's a beautiful department store. And tomorrow you can buy the VOGUE everywhere (not everywhere, but in the stores where they sell magazines, you know).

I told my mom to please go get it for me. Because I was at school the whole day, so I wouldn't had the chance to buy the VOGUE. And my mom understood me. So around 10 in the morning, she went to the Bijenkorf and bought the VOGUE for me! I'm so so so happy.
When I came home, I saw the VOGUE laying down on the table and I was like 'YEAAAAHH'. They put the VOGUE in a nice box, as you can see on the photo. And I opened it immediately. I was so excited! It's the collector's edition, which I Love. The VOGUE was sold out quickly, so I'm lucky!

What I also like about the first issue is that there isn't just a famous model on the cover, but three dutch models, who are a little bit famous, but not that famous. Romee Strijd, Ymre Stiekema and Josefien Rodermans photographed by Marc de Groot. As you can see in the photo. Romee is wearing a pink Acne dress, Ymre is wearing a blue Valentino dress and Josefien wears a yellow suit. The cover is very beautiful, I think. Because of the clothes they wear (very colourful) and the silver elements(only in the collector's vogue).

What's in the first dutch VOGUE?
Seven shoots with the dutch models of the moment who'll show the new trends of the new fashion season. Bette Franke, Milou van Groesen, Romee Strijd, Ymre Stiekema and Josefien Rodermans.
Lots of interviews with famous dutch people, make-up and interviews with fashion designers (Jan Taminiau) and photographers. What strikes me is that there are a lot dutch people in this magazine. I like that.

I already love it, and I didn't even read the entire magazine. The magazine looks nice and I think VOGUE did a great job. They couldn't have made a better first dutch VOGUE. I'll never ever throw away this issue! If you should buy the VOGUE? Yes. Definitely. I bought it just because it was the first dutch one. And I think this is a big thing in the dutch history of fashion.

Pretty Little Liars

Do you know Pretty Little Liars? No? Shame on you! I really really love it. I've never watched it on TV because they don't broadcast it in Holland :( but I do read the books. And today I've read the last book of it. Too bad because I really didn't want it to end. Because while you're reading it, you really feel like you're with them, I mean like you're in the story too. Of course, you have to like this kind of books but that doesn't matter. If you're a girl who likes reading books, fashion, life, love, exciting stories etc. then I personally think you'll like Pretty Little Liars too!

It's a story about 5 girls, Spencer Hastings, Aria Montgommery, Hanna Marin, Emily Fields and Alison DiLaurentis. One day, when the girls were having a sleepover. Alison disappears without a trace. Three years later, when the girls are juniors in high school, Alison's body is found, and they begin receiving various messages from someone using the alias ''A'' who threatens to expose their secrets and get revenge. At the beginning everyone thinks Alison is the person who acts like ''A'' but that's impossible because Alison died, right? There will happen weird, crazy things. Like Hanna almost died because of ''A'' because she knew who ''A'' was. But then there came a new person who acted like ''A''. The first ''A'' died because of all the things that happened. It's such a weird story, but so exciting! I won't tell you the whole story, you have to read it on your own :)

Sara Shepard wrote the books and she did a great job. Pretty Little Liars is also a serie on TV, but the story is different on TV then you read in the books. I love the books but I really want to watch the series too, I think I'm just going to watch them online. Because I really want to watch them and you can't watch them in Holland. So that sucks. But yeah, when you want to read a nice book or you want to watch a serie all day long, then you should read Pretty Little Liars or watch Pretty Little Liars. You will love it!

Victoria's Secret Angels

The models of Victoria's Secret, also known for the Angels. They're very famous and gorgeous, they even got there own Hollywood star on the Hollywood walk of fame! But who are they and why does everyone know them? Well I think everybody knows Victoria's Secret. It's a successful lingerie brand.. Too bad they only got shops in the U.S. because it's very beautiful and not even that expensive. They also sell perfumes, body lotions, towels and that kind of things. I love it! Victoria's Secret isn't only famous because of the things they
sell but also because of the models that walk over the Victoria's Secret runway. And I guess you heard the name 'Angels' often but you didn't knew it was going about the Victoria's Secret Angels. The models that walk over the runway are known as the Angels. To become an VS Angel you have to stand out and you have to be famous about your walk, face, model career or anything like that. Victoria's Secret says: 'Men doesn't need to like the models but the women needs to like them.' It's a honor for a model to walk the Victoria's Secret show, this year there were two dutch models walking over the runway. Of course Doutzen Kroes (she's on of the current Angels) and Bregje Heinen (she only walked the show but that doesn't mean you're a 'real' angel). Who are the current Angels?

Because if you think modelling and fashion is interesting, you definitely need to know for what the Victoria's Secret Angels stands for.

Transgender models.

Female models are most often on the cover of a magazine or catwalk model than the male, but it slowly change. After the hype of plus size and curvy models, there's something new! It looks like the fashion world has fallin in love with the transgender or androgyny models. A transgender model is often a man who was changed into a woman (with or without sex change operation). They have a body like a normal woman. Although not all these transgender model change their genitals and breasts like a woman completely, but they still can radiate elegance of a woman. Transgender models are unique and special, and a lot of fabulous designers like Vera Wang, Givenchy and Karl sekelah Legelfeldhad had the same opinion. They book transgender models for their shows because the world has been able to open eyes about things like this transgender. Or maybe because using a transgender model will make their designs will quickly become in the spotlight of media and society. Because showing woman clothes on a transgender model is unusual for people. On this picture you can see Andrej Pejic who worked for example Jean-Paul Gaultier, Paul Smith and Marc Jacobs. Hema is the first dutch business who getting involved with Andrej. He was the model for the campaign of the mega push-up bra, which showed that absolutely everyone can get a nice cleavage. Make-up and hair trends 2012

Many girls wear make-up and it's so much fun to just try things out with it. With just trying make-up out you can create beautiful things. But what are the trends right now? What kind of make-up can you put on to a prom, to a party or just to school? And of course, How to do it? Cause putting makeup on in some kind of special difficult ways but still look beautiful can be really hard to do! So Here are the trends for 2012:

1. The trend: Lush, over-the-top lashes.
Luminous is anything but boring when paired with over the top lashes. It's a very freminime look and maybe a little bit.. boring. But the intensity of the eyes makes the look strong. Just start with a perfect foundation that totally matches with your skin. If the foundation doesn't match with your skin, then you can throw or give away your foundation. A real no-go is a too dark or a too light foundation. That will make you look ill! When you've put on the foundation, apply two sets of false eyelashes, placing one on top of the other, and finish with a coat of black mascara. Lastly, swipe an illuminator over the cheekbones and onto the Cupid's bow for an flirty ethereal glow.

2. The trend: Bright hair extensions.
Colored streaks can be punky and pretty. Choose your favorite color for in your hair, you can choose a bright color or just a soft color. To get colored hair extensions in your hair, you can go to your hairdresser or buy pre-dyed hair extensions at a beauty store. Attach the pieces underneath a layer of your hair so the clip stays hidden and the streaks peek through. You don't want anyone to see it's coming out your hair right?

3. The trend: Bold red lips.
Everybody looooves red lips. And they look good on everybody! As long you got the right hue for your kind of skin complexion. Cause that really does matter, don't buy just a color that you like, but first try it out or ask if it flatters your complexion to someone that works in the store. Statement lips make the biggest impact when paired with flawless skin and natural eye makeup. Don't use too much eye makeup when you have also used red lipstick. Then your face will look a little bit like a clown. But you can also make smokey eyes (read here how to: How to: Smokey Eyes). Or only use mascara.

4. The trend: Metallic eye makeup
Metallic makeup can look very cool if you put it on in the good way. You can use grey hues or brown hues, maybe even a little bit purple or something. This can look really cool too. Just start with a light foundation and use a kohl pencil for your eyes, put the eyeshadow on and don't use too much! You want the smokey eyes effect right? So just use that to put your eyeshadow on and when you've done this, use a lot of mascara. To get that bright effect. Also use blush, this will make sure your face doesn't look too metallic.

How to get out of the friendzone.

Getting a relationship with that good friend you have a crush on for so long. Sound great, right? Friendship is the best basis for a lasting relationship. But to turn that friendship in something more can be harder than you might think. Your friend is used to see you as simply a friend and it’s difficult to change that perspective, but it’s not impossible! If you really want to take your friendship to the next level, you must show your feelings. You could start by just telling him or her how you feel. But that’s not so easy at it seems. So, how do you change your friend's view of your relationship without coming out and saying how you feel?

Step 1: Put some space between you.

If you have feelings for this person, you want to be with them all the time. But it can help if you put some space between you and your friend. Your friend is used to have you around them and they need your friendly support. It's just how they see you. To change that dynamic, you need some distance. This will make your friend miss you.

Step 2: Change the way you communicate.

After finishing step 1 you've made your friend start missing you. The best thing to do is call him or her up and ask them out, not necessarily on a date, if it feels better you can just hang out with each other. While you’re on your ‘date’ it’s time to show your friend another, more romantic side of you, treat him or her more like a date than a good friend. Talk about different things than you are used to.

Step 3: Treat your friend like a potential romantic partner.

Now it's time for the last step!

Flirt with your friend. Ask him or her out on real dates. Touch him or her gently on unexpected moments, make eye contact, laugh when they make a joke and give the person your complete attention. Maybe it don’t work out because the feeling is not comming from both sides. If this happens don’t be sad just think about all the other nice people you can start a relationship with!

Paris Fashion Week CHANEL A/W 2012

This week is Paris Fashion week, well actually it runs for one week. It's one week and tomorrow it's Friday so that means Paris fashion week almost ends. Almost all trends you see on the street come from the catwalk and of course we all just love to see fashion runway photo's, here are some photo's from Chanel from last Paris Fashion Week. Because we all know Chanel and I think we all love it. A lot of looks on the street are inspired by Chanel and Chanel never fails in designing.
Karl Lagerfeld was the designer, like always.

The fashion show was hold in the Paris Grand Palais, everybody wants to participate this show and as you can read a lot of celebrities were sitting Front Row: Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Swizz Beats etc. In the Grand Palais were big crystals coming out the ground , what did look beautiful. The models (Saskia de Brauw, she's Karl's muze) walked between the crystals.

The most thing you saw in the show was the layers effect, think a coat over a dress over a jeans. An other thing you saw often was the jeans with cigarette pipe, you can wear this jeans under everything.

The Colours: gemstone colours, emerald, purple, yellow, black, grey, white, metallic colours
The Accessories: big metallic necklaces, brooches and bracelets, leather fingerless gloves, colorful scarves and pearl belts.
Hair and Make-up: Hair pulled back in a tail, make-up emphasis on the broad, shiny eyebrows.
