Engagement Session: Nick & Marti

Hello everyone! Last weekend, I had the pleasure to shoot Nick and Marti’s engagement session. I’ll be shooting thier wedding on New Year’s Eve this year and I’m super stoked! They are naturals in front of the camera and that always makes it easier on us photographers. Also, joining us for the shoot was their son, Declan. Wow, can this little guy smile! He’s just adorable… as you’ll soon see! This is just a sneak peak and Declan will be making a greater appearance in a later post.

Hello everyone!

I know it’s been awhile and I apologize for that, but I’m back and going to be busy. I’m still going to be posting landscapes, but my focus will be shifting a lot toward portrait/wedding photography. I’ve decided that this is the direction I want to go for the time being, so be prepared to see a lot more portraiture work instead of landscapes/hdr.

That being said, I have the great pleasure to introduce to you Levi & Amber. I will be shooting their wedding next June and I am SO excited about it. They are a wonderful couple and I know that they will be so happy together! I hope you enjoy the pictures and as always, thanks for stopping by!

Looking Up – Revisited

So, I was at Dave Wilson’s website the other day (he’s a great tog btw) and I saw a very striking image of a capital building dome taken from the inside and that gave me a few ideas. I really wish I could have found the image to give you some reference. I will update the post later if I find it. First, his perspective on the shot was fantastic! I can’t change the shots I’ve already taken, so I’ll have to head back and think “outside the box” for some new shots. Second, he processed it in monotone and that just spoke to me. That is something I can do with my images… so, I’ve gone back and reprocessed one of my images that I took awhile back. You can see the original here. I hope you enjoy this version as much as I do!

I’ve really got to get out a little more and start shooting. I’ve just been so busy this summer and it’s made it VERY hard to! Things should start to slow down a bit here in the next month though. You see, I run a landscaping business on the side in the summer, so holding down a full time job, a landscaping business, a family, and on top of that, I try to post a picture a day (only missed one day so far)! You can see how hectic that could be. Anyway, here is a shot from this winter to cool you off! Enjoy!
