Dick Cheney, I’m pretty sure God hates you since she keeps stopping your heart… The Devil on the other hand, keeps restarting it…

He should now, more than ever, stick to something he’s actually good at like shooting his friends in the face with bird shot… ahhh how relaxing.., what I’m in fact saying is: Stick to quitting your day job Dick…the nation would appreciate it.

Does Dick Cheney really think he is better informed regarding our country’s safety & security, than what the current vice president, Joe Biden is? We all know the you are a glutton for information, but face it pal, there is no way in hell that you can be better informed than the man who sits with all the power he needs at his fingertips.

Dick, please stop living up to your name, and let those in power do their jobs without your constant, loathing interference. You remind me of a mosquito buzzing around at night, irritating those who are finally trying to get some relaxation. Don’t you have anything better to do than kicking up dust? I’m sure that biography of yours should keep you quite busy, so why am I still hearing that constant nagging voice in my ears?

More capable people have taken over from you, get over it; they truly know what the hell they are doing. Backseat drivers have such big mouths and such little brains. I am more than confident that president Obama and his flock of do nothing important weenies would are more than ready for any such foolery that would come about. So be a good gent would you and shut your freakin’ pie hole you obnoxious prick…

Everybody has heard of the word intuition, but how many of you out there really believe in the power of the inner voice? Being a business person myself, I have long since learned to trust my inner voice. It has guided me through plenty of business deals, and more than once it saved me millions, just by listening to the little voice inside my head warning me against the decision I was about to make.

To give you an example, I have a vacation house I rent out to prospective clients. Last week, I received an application for a family who wanted to rent the house for three days. I was happy to have someone apply to rent the house, though I would rather rent the house out for a seven day time period. So at that time, something just told me to turn the offer down and of course within hours another family mailed me, inquiring about renting the house out for a seven day period. It is important to leave room for guidance from your inner voice or internal GPS as I call it.

Now unfortunately, most of us have lost tune with this inner GPS system called intuition. I think the general noise of life, the busy schedules we keep, and the constant thoughts & worries we entertain inside our heads, completely drown out this very important, instinctual guidance system. On the other hand, we sometimes do hear this inner voice warning or leading us, but through our analytical judgmental ways of thinking, we end up going in totally the wrong direction, which we normally regret shortly afterward.

Start making time for yourself again. We must start getting to know our inner beings again, enabling us to recognize our inner voices, especially at the crucial times when it normally does speak to us. Start spending some time alone with yourself, pay attention to your inner feelings and moods, and you will start tuning in to your internal GPS again, and then start reaping the rewards. Like me, you will be able to make beneficial split second decisions, based on a gut feeling, guiding yourself to a life of greatness, wealth, and prosperity.

Now especially since people often ignore their inner GPS for long periods, in the beginning it will be hard distinguishing between our GPS, and our normal analytical thoughts and opinions. For me, the easiest way of distinguishing between the two is to listen to that first initial thought you have on a specific matter.

Say, someone comes to you with a business proposition; normally you will immediately have thoughts and opinions after listening to the proposition. It is that very first thought that pops up, which is when the actual inner voice is talking to you. Our inner GPS signals the necessary message to our thoughts regarding the matter at hand, but within seconds, we normally start analyzing that thought from our inner voice, and more often than not, we end up discarding it, thinking that there is no physical proof that GPS’s idea would be the right way to go.

Start listening to your true inner voice, leaving some space for guidance from your true being. Like I’ve said plenty of times before, make time for yourself and your own needs, and get to know your own personal guidance counselor, namely your internal GPS, that sits at the center of your own being. Come on, these days everybody owns a GPS to help them get from point A to B, using a GPS to show them the shortest & safest root. So what makes you think that you can avoid the potholes of life, and follow the best routes by ignoring your internal GPS?

Generally money flows in circles, you get paid, you pay all your outstanding accounts, and the store who received your payments will spend it at another supplier or store, and so the circle continues on and on… Now spending is a good thing for the economy, it keeps the economy healthy, growing at a steady rate. The problem comes in when people start over spending, living above their means. According to analyst, borrowing money to the public is a good thing, it aids in keeping the economy in a healthy state.

They even go so far as to claim that the public aren’t spending enough.

I recently read that some dumb ass analyst thinks that we are not spending enough, especially after I took a look at the at the national debit clock. Those figures really got my mathematical mind completely in a knot. The average U.S. citizen has debt running up to about $40 172! The total U.S. national debt is now standing on $54 775 737 892 781! The amounts for businesses who has gone bankrupt now stands on $1 405 860! After seeing these figures I began to realize that somewhere along the line, we got our business recipes all screwed up.

After the depression in 1942, the government managed to grow 75% in funds. And then I asked myself the question, how the hell were they able to do something our presidency & government is struggling to do now. The answer is simple; they simply cut back on enormous, wasteful government spending. Our current government borrowed and spends the equivalent of 15 Trillion dollars! Among other things, this money was used to fund the Iraq war, the Golf war, and let’s not forget about the Afghanistan war as well. Battleships was purchased, and all other exploding toys was added to their little grocery list. I’m not saying that no money should be spend on our national safety, security, or defense, but 15 Trillion dollars could go a far way with housing, job creation, improving on current health institutions, feeding the poor, and getting that high U.S. debt amount down.

America is sitting in the position of losing its AAA debt rating. Even though president Obama predicted 1.6 Trillion dollars would go towards the outstanding debt of the nation, analysts fear that America are going to go the same way as Brittan losing their debt rating. Because of the high debt our nation is finding itself in, president Obama promises to make efforts to help homeowners avoid foreclosures on their homes, my question is what his plan of action is going to be, since the figures for home foreclosures are already standing at a shocking $855 767.

As a country we must stop living above our means. I know it is fun to spend billions on pork, pet projects, and of course, it is always shit and giggles to piss away billions, on big guns that go boom and kill woman and children, so that we can control oil flows and defend the profits of Chevron, Royal Dutch, Shell, and friends. I’m annoyed with the fact that I stand helpless against the federal government spending my hard earned tax dollars on oil and blood while we dig ourselves deeper into debt. It’s kind of like having a bad spouse with bad drug habits of sniffing your 401k up their nose… BUT only WORSE!

When you say the dreadful words of PUBLIC SPEAKING, everybody’s stomachs suddenly start turning inside out and unwanted feelings of fear and disease suddenly takes over. However, public speaking is nothing other than the 99% of normal communication we do on a daily basis. If you sit down and think about it, all successful projects and other triumphs all involved communication as the base form.

On the other hand, the same goes for losses and other failures, bad communication skills can ruin even the best business plan if it isn’t communicated properly. So as you can see, even if you don’t want to admit to it now, good communication skills are vital for successful business dealings, as well as developing better personal relationships. It builds confidence, and helps you soar higher with each goal you attain.

Now unfortunately there is no Fairy-godmother that could wave her magic wand and loosen your tongue to become an expert speaker, and eliminating that fear we all harbor against public speaking. But I have good news for you; I’ve got something that is even better than having your very own Fairy-godmother: namely – YOU…

We need to start taking baby steps, building ourselves up to a point where good articulation & successful public speaking becomes part of our daily lives. The first thing you must learn, and start understanding, is that people are almost always eager to listen to what other people have to offer, the inquisitive part of our beings drives us forward to communicate and build our knowledge.

Articulating your ideas in a powerful, and passionate manner will captivate your audience, and herein lays the secret. Whatever subject you are speaking about, be it at the office with work related issues, or at home with relationship issues, be knowledgeable on the subject, it must carry substance, with clear evidence backing up whatever theory it is that you want to bring across.

Now when trying to bring your point across, fear will always try and bring you down, but the best weapon to fight fear with is knowledge. Focus on whatever goal it is that you are chasing, becoming knowledgeable in every aspect of that topic. You will then not only defeat the fear of being put in the spotlight, but you will start speaking like a true pro, gaining the trust and the votes of whatever audience you have. It is normally those people who speak well, who will win the business tenders, and even in love- who will win the girl of their dream’s heart. In the same breath you can say that person who is able to speak well and articulate his thoughts in a professional manner that walks away with the main prize…

The sooner we all realize that we ALL are public speakers at heart, the sooner we can start reaping the rewards. Have you ever noticed the positive energy, charisma, wealth, & prosperity, career-based public speakers radiate? Most people fear death more than public speaking, so in essence, those who have overcome their fear of public speaking have surpassed the fear of death. They radiate this positive energy because they believe in themselves, they believe in what they are saying, making them passionate, which makes listeners objective and open for new ideas.

Don’t you think it’s time to let that speaker within you out of its box, and start attaining your goals, building your general knowledge, and blowing the socks off the competition!

God gave us all a voice; now learn how to speak and use it to your benefit. Remember, there is a difference between talking and communicating. I’d rather be involved in the latter, with communication intelligent thoughts are swopped between people, where talking is just a one-sided mindless rambling, which most people do all day long. COMMUNICATE with people, or whatever audience you have to engage with.

I recently received an email containing pictures of people plundering the endangered sea turtle‘s nests, walking away with bags filled to the brim with sea turtle eggs. It reminded me just how selfish humans are. We analyze everything on a scale of how much it would benefit us, and when the benefits are low, we simply disregard the matter and go on with our busy lives. Is that perhaps why our environment is in such a state today? Is it because there is no direct personal gain to be found that we all are so unwilling to change our ways, and do something concrete to preserve our beautiful planet for ourselves and our grand children?

We say that we are developing as a species, though I find that in certain aspects we are actually regressing. We have become completely insensitive to other people’s needs, not even speaking of Mother Nature’s needs. We are so self-absorbed that half the time we don’t even give a second thought on how our actions may impact others, or how it would impact the world at large.

When did we start becoming so selfish, and when did we stop caring for each other? How can we expect to build a successful future, when all we care about is what would benefit us? I feel that we need a drastic attitude adjustment if we want to progress, instead of regressing in the way we are now.

You may not see it now, but readjusting your selfish attitude will directly benefit you. Take the environment as an example, we don’t all need to start some tree-hugging movement to preserve the earth, but if we start with the small stuff like recycling the rest will slowly but surely follow suit. The same goes for our relationships towards our fellow human beings, a little bit of consideration goes a very far way. Don’t you agree that life would be so much more pleasant and fun, if nobody was solely looking out for themselves and their gains?

We need to make these internal changes before we find ourselves in a situation where it is too late to make those changes. Start having some consideration & compassion for each other, as well as our environment. Together we could make anything happen, remember a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. For once, don’t be the weak link.

The Google Social Search program was recently launched, which translates in to a public social web of content that has special relevance to each person using the search engine of the web. It recognizes your social network, and when you search a topic on the web, it will automatically include search results from you social network and linking it to that specific topic. This really got me thinking about the matter of how much Google really knows about each of us. To be quite honest, I think Google knows more about you, than what your spouse or mother even knows, and frankly, that scares the living crap out of me.

I decided to look further into the matter, and what I found will have the hair on the back of your neck, stand on end. Most of us readily make ourselves available on the net, using all the different applications, social networks, and other stuff the internet has to offer. We unknowingly share our personal information just by using the internet, and other Google related applications. Google accurately tracks each visitor from a source, such as a search engine or email link, to conversations made over the web, to private transactions. They are able to source all your personal information; they know your name, telephone number, social security number, credit card numbers, your interests, and who your family members and friends are, the question is what they want to do with that information? As I see it, Google is in fact creating their own personal internet consisting of the user’s personal data, tracking your every move, updating the information on a daily basis. Is our personal information safe, even when it’s just stored as a data base?

It scares the living crap out of me that my personal information is accessible, where ever it is stored by Google in cyber space. My problem with that is that not every internet user is sitting there with the purest intentions at heart. In fact, scam artist are sitting out there, prowling the web, trying to access our personal information that Google has accumulated, in order to defraud both you and me. I’ve previously heard horror stories about people’s accounts being hacked, and fraudulent credit card transactions, though I didn’t take too much notice of it at the time. But seeing all this evidence in front of me, has really given me a wake-up call regarding Google and it’s “do no evil policy”.

Most of us can give detailed instructions on how to do internet banking, get a blog site up and running, use Skype, and use other applications the web has to offer, but how many of us can retract personal information on the web? My guess is that less than 10% of the internet users would know how to remove their personal information from the web, nor would they know how to go about to block people from searching their personal details. Scary isn’t it?

Where is it all going, and where is going to end if we don’t start waking up? I feel like that if we don’t do anything about the matter, we are truly going to find ourselves lost in a Big Brother horror film. Do you really want your neighbor to know that you have a birthmark on your left butt cheek, or live in a world where your every movement is recorded? I didn’t think so. Use this article to open your eyes, and today start protecting yourself against the hacking of your personal information.

MUSHROOM MENTALITY

Whenever a natural disaster occurs, you can be sure that the whole world will give abundantly of their time, and of their hard-earned money. Now with the Haiti disaster happening, as with any natural disaster, charity organizations start popping up everywhere and clustering like mushrooms around the same common cause supposedly making it easier for us to donate our hard-earned money, and bringing relief to the victims in the disaster area.

Estimates of donated funds to the Haiti disaster are about $164 765 000! Everybody is donating millions of dollars towards the Haiti victims, totally forgetting about the other noble charity organizations out there. Experts say that the other charitable organizations out there will not be affected by the Haiti relief funds, though I have serious doubts about that. If everyone is jumping on the bandwagon and pouring their money only towards the Haiti victims, who is taking care of the rest of the organizations out there?

Yes, I do admit that it is admirable to want to help those people in distress in Haiti, but I have to add that we should not forget about the other worthy organizations at times like these. We must stop this herd mentatlity and stop donating to the same mushroom cluster of charties around the same cause. Not to mention the American Red Cross, which netted BILLIONS of dollars after 9-11, should be more than well funded to handle disasters for the next 20 years. Find another cause that you care about and donate there instead, donating with the same heart as you would have given to the Haiti victims. I’m sure their plight is delicate but, there must be balance in the world and we must not forget about important things like health care, housing, art & culture, schooling, which are pushed to the background, and completely forgotten about.

Don’t be attracted to the mushroom cluster; you do realize that people grow mushrooms by keeping them in the dark, and feeding them a load of shit…?

The recession, has affected us all in one way or another. Everywhere you go, you see the evidence of how the recession mutilated our economy with its grubby hands. People have become paranoid to spend their money, holding on to whatever money they have. Even president Obama wants to reduce the yearly budgets to almost half of what it was previously, which as you might realize, is one of the worst things that could now happen to the economy.

If we want to start making more money, and really start growing our businesses, we will have to stop listening to the horror frenzy the media is cooking up daily. Stop being one of the mentally oppressed, and start challenging those negative thoughts. You can still make more money during a recession; you just need the right recipe.

During times of such mental oppression, people really start cutting back on spending, and therefore it is so important to understand how to get the business recipe right the first time. They look for genuine value in service, before they will part with their hard-earned cash. They tend rather to go to the bigger businesses, assured that they will get both valued service and delivery. Now if you are one of the smaller businesses, this means a plummet in sales, and therefore less money.

You will need to analyze past mistakes, and work on improving anything that may hinder your business, and your ability to make money. Take your service level to the next level and really start delivering quality service to your customers. Set business goals for yourself, and step for step start working towards attaining those goals. I have said it before, you are the master of your own destiny, and the attitude with which you approach a situation, will greatly influence the outcome.

However, changing your mindset, and delivering excellent service, won’t carry you all the way over the finish line either. You also need to start working on a marketing campaign, promoting your products, or your services with every chance you get. You may be selling the best products, or deliver the highest quality services, but if no one knows about it, they go spend their money elsewhere…

The current depression that we are currently in is so ripe with opportunity. It is a playground for YOU to build yourself an empire…. IF you can see it, if you can take it… , but at the end of the day it is what you make of it? Are you going to buy the B.S. that you see in the media? Or are you going to step up and figure out a way to use this difficulty to your advantage? It is up to you…

Have you ever been on the wrong side of “good advice”, if you have then you will know exactly what I’m talking about. In general, people always want to help and often it ends up hurting more than helping while and giving us an ear full of their “good advice”. People learn best when they solve their own problems. As they say… Its not the kill.. it’s the thrill of the chase and learning is best done banging your own head against that wall.
Giving advice can be a very touchy subject; you need to take the person on the receiving side into consideration. You have heard the saying, walking a mile in another person’s shoes; well before giving any advice you should take a moment and walk a mile in that person’s shoes. Always remember, listen first, and only then talk if you have something useful to say. One more time.. since you missed it the first time.. LISTEN.. and once more.. LISTEN… For once, hold that run-away tongue of yours, and get to the center of the issue first, that is if there should be a problem. Take into consideration the outcome of the advice you are so ready to hand out. Is it really in the best interest of that person, or is it what YOU and your our selfish greedy sub-conscience consider the best for that person?
As a rule, I try to avoid giving advice. My experience on the matter is that people close up like clams whenever an information vomit is about to happen. Yeah, I call it information vomit because it is one of the most foul and unwanted things that could come out of one’s mouth. Instead, try to empower others to think for themselves, work out solutions to their own problems, offer my support. Avoid blurting out any unwanted advice. If you find yourself in the situation where someone needs your help, point them in the right direction, give them support, and perspective.
It is human to want to share our experiences but, the best friends I have are super human and resist this urge. My best friends provide solutions rather than advice. Sometimes the best thing to hear is a story about what they did to solve a similar issue. I’ll get the solutions I need out of that story. Solutions offer some room for play, but advice is nothing but information vomit. ACK!

Have I ever mentioned my distaste for the words try or trying? To me the word try means that the person speaking never intends on keeping their promises, and therefore they are flat out lying about whatever matter they were promising to “try” and do. I have previously heard the saying: “Trying is the first step towards failure”, which I believe to be true.

There is a distinct difference between trying to do something, and actually doing it. I believe that when one promises to “try” and do something, they mentally set themselves free from any promised obligations created by the lie. Yes, it is a lie; it is a lie to oneself, and to the other people involved. When you are saying you will “try” and do something, you are creating a backdoor for escape, for incase you are unable to deliver the promises you created. It gives you a get out of jail card, freeing yourself from really doing what you promised to do. You may make an effort to bullshit, yourself and others with halfhearted attempts to deliver what you promised, but in the back of your mind, you are already opening the quick escape door you created when promised to “try”.

This brings me to honesty, honesty in your day-to-day dealings with other people, and of course being honest with yourself. I will try to stop smoking; I will try to have the file ready by closing time… Sound familiar? We all make promises to others, and ourselves, but the intent to really keep to it, becomes blurred by little escape clause we conveniently inserted into the promise. The problem with the whole thing is that it will keep you from doing better, from improving things in your personal or business life. Every time that there might be some demanding situation, you promise to “try” and resolve it, you are keeping yourself from gaining positive momentum and succeeding in whatever you wanted to “try”. It creates a vicious downward cycle, making it extremely difficult to attain any goals. And how could you attain those goals if you already excused yourself from keeping to them?

If you want to start making improvements in both your personal and business life, you are going to have to start being honest with yourself and others. Stop making promises you can’t keep to, rather reach a compromise with those involved, than talking yourself into doing something you know you won’t be able to keep to. If you think about it, the only times we ever say that we will “try” to do something, is when the problem seems too big to handle in the amount of time given, creating the need to insert some sort of escape clause for when we are unable to deliver. It really becomes a problem when you look at it from purely a business type aspect, broken promises means broken contracts, which means losing customers. The fact that someone “tried” to keep their promise, is a very small compensation for a business owner who is counting on them to deliver. When you promise to “try” and deliver, you are removing the assurance of delivery by inserting an escape clause, which is not honest and doesn’t make for good business dealings.

So next time you feel like promising someone to “try” and do something, remember that building lasting relationships starts with honesty and trust. Don’t be like everyone else who is “trying”, but never actually get anything done. Stop “trying” and simply just start doing.
