They're not all boy band wannabes living in the trendy areas of our cities so why can't they buy regular jeans instead of skinny? or t-shirts that cover their chests instead of having to shave their hair so they can wear horrible tees that look like someone has carved a V out of the front?

January is a bit of a weird month isn't it?

Generally speaking we are still tired from the (relaxing) Christmas break, feel like we should be on some sort of diet or detox or fulfilling the same new year's resolution we didn't quite manage last year, or are having to skulk around avoiding the January sales because we can't afford to shop after overspending at Christmas (again) or because we

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ChristCouture/~4/f8C4dN5OI2I" height="1" width="1"/>

All I want for Christmas...

As a journalist and blogger I am fortunate enough to be invited to press events which means I am introduced to yet more stuff to spend my money on - in the event that I had trouble spending it in the first place - and which opens up my tiny world of high street plus online shopping (otherwise known as "Spend-as-you-earn") to the possiblities of owning luxurious products it would never have

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ChristCouture/~4/J3VjF5vIjYw" height="1" width="1"/>

What can I do for you?

We usually think of Christmas as a time for indulgence and the days between Christmas and New Year as a time for reflection and thoughts to the year ahead.

Will you try harder to lose weight, save more, spend more time with your friends/family and less time at work?

New Year's resolutions are generally pretty far-fetched but if you want to start your good deeds before 2012 begins, the

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ChristCouture/~4/QsHmb75Wq9Y" height="1" width="1"/>

My year in pictures...

I have always loved photos and have recently started to appreciate seeing my dreams turn into a reality and celebrating them as they happen. With this in mind I've decided to display my 2011 in pictures - a month by month account of what I've been doing this year - as I look forward to the promises of 2012 :).

We were given a quick explanation of this and after a quick seat adjustment, we set off

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ChristCouture/~4/RHtDIZHjJYc" height="1" width="1"/>

The Worthshop: Styling Stripped Bare

Monday mornings are the bane of my life. Tired from a busy weekend where, despite my best efforts, there wasn't quite enough time to tidy the flat or say hello to my husband. Will I have to hold my breath for the entire (standing) journey in a cattle-packed carriage on the Jubilee line as I squash in with

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ChristCouture/~4/1ToK3Qz0kcU" height="1" width="1"/>

Some Like It Hot

I'm kind of a long shower girl so when streams of lovely hot water gradually became lukewarm shudder-inducing terror, I figured I'd used up our morning supply and simply got out, dressed and forgot about it.
Two days later we are still not recipients of hot water. Yesterday I remembered that cold showers are supposed to be good for the skin so I decided to go cold turkey - literally. I've found it really hard to know how to respond to this week's rioting in the UK. I don't live or work in any of the areas affected but I have family and friends who do and it was with sadness that I tuned into the world's media pretty much 24/7 as everyone tried to make sense of it all.
I felt I needed to do something.
