The Best for Last - Takum Nigeria - Final Day

We have just returned from the final meeting of our final campaign of the season here in Takum, Nigeria and Jesus saved the best for last.

The attendance topped 185,000 tonight in this remote place! Every external indicator has proven that God has done something remarkable here. This morning the pastors testified that their churches were flooded with new converts. Each night our barrels were filled with witchcraft items to be burned. The response to the Gospel preaching was huge. Thousands were filled with the Holy Spirit and we received many testimonies of miraculous healings included several remarkable ones tonight...

Shaken by the Gospel - Takum, Nigeria - Day 2

Takum is being shaken by the Gospel this week. Tonight many people brought their juju, idols and witchcraft fetishes to be burned including a group of Fulani Muslim people that greeted me when I came down from the platform. After they received Jesus as their Savior tonight, they immediately pulled off the old charms that they were wearing and threw them into the barrels for burning. Their faces, covered in tribal markings and tattoos, were beaming with the love of Jesus...

From Darkness to Light - Takum, Nigeria Day 1

Our journey to Takum yesterday was a very long one. The "harmattan" (a dust storm from the Sahara Desert) covered Nigeria in a thick fog that blotted out the sun and grounded many planes...including ours, for lack of visibility. By the time we arrived here in Takum it was 1:00 this morning. We thought that surely everyone in town would be sleeping. But to our surprise the streets were still lined with enthusiastic locals that had been waiting for many hours to welcome us. It is clear that this city is ripe for the harvest and we are here bringing in the sheaves...

Occultists Born Again! - Ugep, Nigeria Day 5

Dear Mission-Partners,

Another great Gospel campaign has come to an end and, as always, we feel mixed emotions. We will miss Ugep and it's people very much, but we rejoice with what God has done here. It is a miracle! Ugep is only a small village, but tonight 185,000 people were present and received the Word of God with great joy. Many thousands were born again including a group of young men who came forward to testify tonight that they were part of an occult movement in the local university, but they have now given their lives to Jesus and renounced occultism!

We have often been told that the local churches are filled with miracle testimonies of what God did in the campaign every Sunday even a year after we are gone. Im sure this will be the case in Ugep. There is no doubt in our minds that Jesus has done something extraordinary here:

Former occultists turn to Christ.

A well-known local man who has been a lunatic for the past 26 years was instantly healed…the crowd was ecstatic. A man crippled for 24 years walked without aid tonight along with a child who was also crippled. A woman was healed of breast cancer and a man's paralyzed arm was totally restored. These miracles and others that we were able to hear are just a tiny sampling of the thousands of miracles that took place over the past few days.

In three weeks we will be back in Africa for another Gospel campaign in the city of Numan. We are burned with a sense of urgency to reap this mighty harvest while it is ripe. There is no time to waste. In the words of Leonard Ravenhill, “The opportunity of a lifetime must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity.” Thank you for continuing to stand shoulder to shoulder with us in this historic harvest of souls.

The Great African Outpouring! - Ugep, Nigera Day 4

Dear Mission-Partners,

What we are experiencing here in Nigeria almost defies description. It is nothing less than a sovereign outpouring. This morning the Holy Spirit fell in the Fire Conference before I had a chance to preach. After Rev Peter Vandenburg ministered the people began to cry out to the Lord and the Holy Spirit swept across that field with a tangible presence. I interrupted the normal schedule and began to prophecy over the people and even as I was speaking the Fire fell. All over that stadium men and woman were laid prostrate and the Holy Spirit filled many thousands in a spontaneous way. I laid hands on a couple hundred pastors and sent them into the crowd to lay hands on all the people. As they moved through the crowd cripples began to walk and the sick were healed. It was glorious!

Tonight after I preached the Gospel and prayed with thousands of people who wanted to receive Jesus, we prayed again over that massive crowd to receive the Baptism into the Holy Spirit and the Fire fell once again. We heard amazing miracle testimonies:

A man healed from Aids presents evidence from his doctor.

A woman said that her son had died yesterday and so she brought him to the crusade field. She laid his lifeless body on the ground during the meeting. When I began to pray I said, “If there is anyone dead within the sound of my voice, I command life to return to your body in Jesus name.” Suddenly, she said, he opened his eyes, turned to her and said, “Momma - I'm thirsty”!

On Thursday I prayed especially for those with AIDS and told them to go get tested again. One young man who had been diagnosed HIV Positive just 2 weeks ago was retested yesterday and brought his report from the doctor tonight. I saw it with my own eyes…he is now HIV Negative!

One man who's right arm has been paralyzed for the last 17 years said that during the prayer he felt like there was a wire moving through his arm, into his shoulder, up his neck and into his head. He said when it reached his brain his arm was instantly able to move perfectly.

The miracle testimonies just kept coming until we had to turn them away; a woman with breast cancer said her lumps instantly vanished. A lady deaf since she the age of three demonstrated perfect hearing and a crippled man walked.

These are not just church meetings. What is happening here in Nigeria is an ongoing outpouring the likes of which I have never seen. More than 55 million have been saved in the last 10 years alone. The sick are healed, the blind see, the lame walk, the dead are raised! I am sure that history will remember this as one of the most remarkable waves of Holy Spirit impact the world has ever seen. This is the Great African Outpouring.

Curses Broken - Ugep, Nigeria Day 3

Dear Mission-Partners,

Young man healed from motorcycle injuries

Tonight, when we arrived at the Crusade ground we discovered that someone had brought an entire idolatrous shrine to be destroyed. Together with idols, charms, fetishes and many occult paraphernalia we burned it and the people rejoiced. I also called out the local curses - names so feared most people are not willing to speak them out loud - one by one I took authority over them, breaking them off the people of Ugep in the name of Jesus. The joy was uncontainable. The people danced until the sky was thick with dust. Today is a day of Salvation and freedom.

After the prayer for salvation many miracles happened and we saw an extraordinary proportion of paralytics healed. Have a look at the picture of one young man who lived with so much pain from a motorcycle accident that it had left him nearly crippled. Now he jumped like an athlete and testified that all pain has gone. Praise the Lord!

Tomorrow is our Holy Spirit Baptism day and also the conclusion of the Fire Conference. Please pray for a mighty outpouring of God's fire that will transform the Body of Christ in Ugep into a Gospel powerhouse that will continue to impact this region long after our team has gone.

All of Ugep is Buzzing! - Ugep, Nigeria Day 2

Dear Mission-Partners,

We are experiencing a mighty surge of Gospel impact here in Ugep. Even now I can hear outside my window the thousands of people who have literally flooded the streets on their way home from the meeting, which doubled in size from last night. The word is out…Jesus is here - and all of Ugep is buzzing!

The response to the Gospel message tonight was overwhelming and the miracles were popping like popcorn. A 23-year-old woman deaf and dumb from birth heard and spoke tonight with amazing clarity. The crowd could hardly contain their joy when she repeated after me; “One”, “Two”, “JESUS!” It was glorious!

A woman who had been paralyzed on her right side demonstrated how she had received full use of her arms and legs. She went walking and leaping and praising God like the man at the “Beautiful Gate”. I choke back the tears as I think of it now.

A woman brought her son who had been insane for last 15 years. He had been completely mad; violent and uncontrollable. Now he spoke softly and was in his right mind. He told me that Jesus had healed him. Praise the Lord!

This morning was also the start of the Fire Conference and Rev. Peter Vandenburg and I were amazed by the responsiveness of the people. They have not come just to be spectators; they have come to receive and I am sure that they will in Jesus name. Stay tuned, much more to come…

Dear Mission-Partners,

What a wonderful start here in Ugep! Have a look at the crowd-picture. The Gospel rang out as clear as a bell and a wave of salvation followed. The prayer for the sick yielded glorious healings: A blind man saw, a crippled walked.... The atmosphere was charged with faith – gripping the congregation as well as the preachers. Faith breeds boldness. The leading men in Jerusalem “saw the courage of Peter and John” (Acts 4:13). Their fearlessness was plain for all to see. Israel’s supreme judges with their fossilised traditions were shocked into wide-eyed astonishment at the sight of mere Galilean fishermen addressing the court with the confidence of kings issuing edicts. The Bible is the book of the bold, not the cringing. We will continue to preach this glorious gospel with great boldness here in Ugep. Please continue to pray for us.

Sapele, Nigera - A 3-year old boy raised from the Dead - Day 5

Last night after the service, a woman stopped me as we were getting in the car to leave. In her arms she held her dead 3-year-old son. I held the body for just a moment, prayed and then left. Tonight we heard the testimony; as we drove away, the boy came to life and he is now perfectly well. She shared the testimony tonight and the crowd went wild! All of Sapele is rejoicing. Praise the Lord!...

Today was the conclusion of the Sapele Fire Conference. When we arrived at the venue, early this morning, we were amazed to see that the crowd had literally doubled in size! The people had come to receive. Rev. Peter van den Burg preached a poignant message about “Final Steps to Receiving the Power of God” and then I followed with a short teaching.
Ibadan Crusade - Simply Overwhelmed - Day 1 Report

        Dear Mission-Partners,

Have a look at the attendance picture of tonight. We were simply overwhelmed. The Lord is so good. I preached on the Blood of Jesus. The result? A huge alter-call! Then Daniel Kolenda prayed for the sick and a whole flood of miracles took place. Asthma, Fibroids and all sorts of pain vanished. The crowd was jubilant. It was a good start and we expect much more in the days to follow...

Bible Study - Reversed!

We hear about radical politicians, but there has never been one yet who reversed the ways of the world and its materialism and godlessness. Yet, when Paul and Silas went to Thessalonica, the Jews "which believed not" said, "these that have turned the world upside down are come hither also." Unbelief had disturbed their eyesight. But, for their distorted vision, they would have seen that the world was already upside down. That's why they had come, to put it the right way up...

More then 120,000 on first night! - Otukpo, Nigeria Day 1

It’s rainy season here in Nigeria and torrential downpours are commonplace. Holding open-air meetings in such conditions is a risky business, but we are determined to snatch a million souls out from under the nose of the Devil. Tonight, in spite of heavy afternoon thunderstorms, more than 125,000 people turned out for the very first meeting of this Great Gospel Campaign here in the city of Otukpo. It is clear that there is an insatiable hunger for the Gospel that will not be denied...

From Thursday 9th July to Monday 14th July, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda visited the UK for a preaching tour visiting Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Ilkeston, London, Ealing, and Aylesbury. Daniel met with Church leaders during the day and held evangelistic meetings during the evenings. Daniel preached each meeting with faith expecting salvations and healings, and they occurred.

In every evening meeting, the Gospel was clearly presented. Evangelist Kolenda gave uncompromising, crystal-clear Gospel messages and salvation calls...

Bali Will Never be the Same! - Bali, Nigeria Day 5

Tonight’s miracles were amazing. An 80 year old woman who had been blind for 15 years received her sight and was so excited about everything she saw…even my tie was fascinating to her. A young lady who had been carried to the meeting walked tonight for the first time in 5 years. A man with a football sized tumour showed me how in the last 24 hours it had reduced to the size of a golf ball…it will soon be completely gone in Jesus name! These and other miracles were a powerful testament to the will of God to heal...

This morning the Fire Conference started in Bali and I was preaching already at 7:30 AM. 25,000 registered delegates attended and were like fledglings in the nest – hungry for the things of God and the Holy Spirit. Then followed again the evening service: day two in Bali/Nigeria. The word of God was preached with authority. This is our part in God’s great plan. The Lord is the God of salvation – but he does not work on his own. He alone can save, but he does not save alone. He has us in “his team”...

The Gospel is Received with Great Joy! - Bali, Nigeria Day 1

Tonight was the beginning of another glorious crusade here in Nigeria. We are in an extremely remote part of a northeastern city named Bali, close to the Cameroon border. I spoke with a Nigerian general a couple of days ago and he confessed that he had never even heard of this place...but Jesus certainly knows where Bali is.

Tonight salvation poured down on the people here as they received the Gospel with great joy...

Bible Study - Contra-Distinct From the World Pt. II

Like Israel, new, unique and contrary among the heathen nations; God is today calling out another new people, distinctive, born-again “from above” people with a reverse culture. What Israel was called out to be, in Christ Jesus we are, millions of us, “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people.” (1 Peter 2. 9)

The language of the Kingdom is strange to the ears of the world. The first great discourse of Jesus (Matthew chapters 5, 6, 7), seems to describe an upside-down world. He begins with the Beatitudes, with such reverse judgments as “Blessed are those who mourn. Blessed are those who are persecuted” and goes on to say ”love your enemies.”...

We are blessedly shocked! The magnitude of what God did in this overlooked region of Northern Nigeria is just stunning...

Fire Falls - Final Day in Isokoland

Tonight was the climax of the Gospel Crusade here in Isokoland, Nigeria and what a glorious finale it was. The crowd was teaming with 425,000 people hungry to hear the Word of God! After the prayer for salvation we prayed for the crowd to receive the Baptism into the Holy Spirit and the Fire fell. As the deafening sound of the crowd speaking in tongues rose to heaven, I could hear the words of the prophet Joel resonating in my spirit, “In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit upon ALL FLESH.” What a glorious time we live in. These are the days that “many prophets and righteous men longed to see…”

Miracles Flow Like a River - Day 4 in Ole/Ozoro (Isokoland)

In tonight’s service 300,000 people gathered with hungry hearts and again the Gospel was preached “with great assurance”, as Paul puts it. God majors in snatching brands from the fire of destruction. His heartbeat throbs in the gospel and sets the pulse-rate of those taking it to the lost world. This is what we feel inside...Tonight the miracles and healings were flowing like a river. There was no end in sight to the miracle testimonies and even as we left the crusade grounds the crowd was bursting into praise...miracles were still happening!...

Miracles to the Last Moment! - Day 3 in Ole/Ozoro (Isokoland)

As you may know, all our Gospel Crusades are paired with a Fire Conference, in which church-workers are prepared for a life of effective witness for Jesus and for evangelism in general. This culminates in a massive outpouring of the Holy Spirit, in fulfillment of the Promise of the Lord. This morning was glorious. Thousands upon thousands of wonderful Christians were soaking up the Word of God. Our Mission is power, not routine. Our role is that of power men, laying the power lines into powerless lives. Then Jesus does the rest...

Bible Study - Lay Hold On Life

In this month's Bible Study, while the world becomes engrossed in buying, wrapping, giving and receiving of material things, I want to challenge you with the thought of laying hold of those things that truly matter - Lay Hold On Life!

"God gave everything He most loved, His Son. What He wants to do for us is measured only by the Cross. Such terms as grace, gift, blessing, goodness, it is all in the one package, the one bestowal - in Christ. The Maker’s plan is for something better than we were born with. To make it available it cost a lot. It cost more than the earth cost Him. His plan for us couldn’t be implemented by a creative order, “Let it be…” It cost what He alone could give - greater wealth than gold."

Healing - Problem or Promise?

The God of the Old Testament declared two great truths about Himself: He is the Healer and He never changes. We preach Christ crucified, but which Christ? A Christ shorn of His ability to heal? Or the Christ of the Bible? In this new Bible Study I present from scripture the truth that God does and wants to heal today! Some interpret Scripture in such a way as to say that Jesus is not allowed to heal any more. Not a single line in the New Testament warrants such a view!

If you are in need of a healing touch read this study and be encouraged. If you do not need a healing touch, please read anyway. You may come across someone who needs your faith for their healing!

Arrival in Okitipupa, Nigeria

Yesterday we arrived in Okitipupa/Nigeria in Ondo State. It was a six hour drive by road through coastal regions from the city of Lagos. The Governor of Ondo, HE Chief Olusegun Agagu received and welcomed us in his office and assured us of the government’s total support. In Okitipupa we made a courtesy call on the traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile Adengun II, The Abidi of Ikale Land, and then met the crowds lining the streets. Overwhelming joy everywhere. Evangelist Daniel Kolenda and I had our hands full to do the wave and greet to the people through the sun-roofs of our SUVs

A Mighty Harvest of Souls - Final Day Okitipupa

Today was the final meeting in Okitipupa. 225,000 people attended the finale. Daniel Kolenda preached the Word with authority and another mighty harvest of souls was brought in. Then the Holy Spirit fell in upon the hungry crowd filling them with power from on high. As the roar of new tongues went up a deaf man testified later that he suddenly received his hearing. This was the first of many miracles to come and it was obvious that God was at work in a mighty way.

Fire of the Holy Spirit Falls! - Day 4 Okitipupa

This morning the Fire Conference came to a climax with a glorious outpouring of the Holy Spirit. 25,000 delegates attended and were not disappointed. The fire of God truly fell. It is for today! Some people sigh and wish they were back in the days of the early Church, but it was neither the days nor the men which made the time special. It was the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Without it, the disciples would probably have gone back to being fishermen in Galilee and grown old telling tales of strange events when they were young. Instead, they changed the world.

Gripped by the Life-Giving Gospel - Day 3 Okitipupa

Tonight’s attendance rose to 150,000. Okitipupa is gripped by the life-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ. Evangelist Daniel Kolenda passionately preached from Luke 19 on Zacchaeus, where the truths of forgiveness and restitution merge. The huge crowd was deeply moved. No matter what, truth remains truth and the Lord says “Give me your heart”, not your opinion. Jesus is the truth; he cannot be a controversy. We cannot judge truth; it judges us. It is a fact beyond debate. We expect many thieves to return stolen goods to their rightful owners.

Extraordinary Gospel Traction - Day 2 Okitipupa

On the way to tonight’s meeting, we sat in a traffic jam caused by all the movement towards the crusade grounds. It seemed as if the whole city was coming. The crowd doubled in size from last night and the stream of people flowing onto the field seemed almost endless. It is clear that we have extraordinary traction here in Okitipupa.

The people listened to the preaching of the Gospel with great intensity and responded with vibrant enthusiasm calling upon the name of Jesus for salvation with all of their hearts. I know many thousands of people were truly born again tonight.

A Massive Outpouring of Salvation! - Day 1 Okitipupa

We have returned just moments ago from the opening service of the Gospel Crusade here in Okitipupa, Nigeria. Here, in this extremely remote place, many thousands gathered to hear the Gospel message and to witness the demonstration of its power firsthand. Evangelist Bonnke preached on the blood of Jesus and a massive outpouring of salvation followed. He then broke the curses over the land calling them out by name and the people responded with shouts of joy. After the altar call, Evangelist Bonnke prayed for the sick and by the stripes of Jesus the many were healed.
