Cbusr and SNAP! Performance Productions combined forces for a great community event. The Lincoln Theatre opened its doors to an exclusive preview performance of Snap! Productions, The Manilla Envelope to Cbsur members to live tweet the performance and network during the break.

Team Cbus Send Off Party Woodlands Tavern

Team Columbus aka Team Cbus was a team of young marketers put together by fearless leader Nate Riggs to represent Columbus, Ohio in an epic road trip challenge sponsored by Chevy to Austin, Texas for the 2011 South By South West technology conference also known as SXSW. The send off party was a pep rally of sorts to continue a marketing campaign that brought awareness through social media channels about the teams mission of fundraising fo Chevy’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm and the non-profit philanthropy, Adopt A Classroom. It was also an excuse for sponsors, team members, and the central Ohio community to get together and have some fun.

Cbusr: German Village Cup O Joe

Cbusr is an online website for networking talented people in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. It is less than a year old and has been growing by leaps and bounds due to the already technology savvy millennial generation. Once the founders, Matt Martindale, Natalie Nichols, and Jeff Herbst got the idea from concept to a production website they started implementing their next phase of the startup in sponsoring networking events at local businesses and event venues to help promote local retail. They have come a long way and the master plan is to continue to improve their feature set and expand the business model nationally.

These pictures are from one of their more recent events at a local coffee retail chain called Cup O Joe. This particular Cup O Joe was located in the historic part of Columbus known as German Village.

LA Catering

I am finally just getting around to posting these pics months later. Good friend and fellow interactive marketer, Nate Riggs, contacted me to shoot an event to help promote a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping others. LifeCare Alliance, Central Ohio’s premier Meals-on-Wheels provider for thirty years, continues to serve older adults and the chronically ill residents of Franklin and Madison counties 365 days a year. In addition to Meals-on-Wheels, LifeCare Alliance provides nursing services, nurse practitioner, dietitians, wellness center, community senior centers, homemakers and home health aides.

LifeCare Alliance has a great service called L.A. Catering that caters many events year round as a way to raise proceeds that benefit their many non-profit initiatives and programs that they provide support to throughout Central Ohio. Nate’s fiance, Sarah Bednar, who is the Development Manager at LifeCare Alliance was a gracious host and helped put on a great event. The food was really good too! If you have an event that needs catering you should definitely check out L.A. Catering.

Restaurant Giorgo TasteCasting Event

While at work I was called by a good friend of mine, Nate Riggs, to see if I could should an event in Clintonville, OH for a social media promotions and marketing group called, TasteCasting. TasteCasting is a venture by another good friend and smart marketer, Dan Harris to promote small businesses in the food industry looking to gain online exposure and web presence. The small business, in this case, was Giorgio, an Italian restaurant located in the heart of Clintonville, OH that serves up the finest Italian fare with exciting dishes and unique ambiance. It was a fun shoot because I knew some of the people attending, and Beth, one of the owners, was very accommodating. It was a great atmosphere with great friends, great food, great wine, and lots of laughter.
