Over the years, I’ve done a few teeth whitening treatments and they get the job done but I’ve always struggled quite a bit with sensitive teeth. That’s the worst part about those treatments and it really drove me crazy! It bothered me constantly and those same whitening systems would tell you to use the treatments every day otherwise you’re not going to get the results you’re wanting. It really ended up being torture for me and I despised doing them even though I desperately wanted whiter teeth.

Thankfully, I stumbled across Smile Brilliant, a great whitening system with a desensitizing gel that really helps with the tooth sensitivity. It was a game changer for me and something I could do over and over again without cringing while drinking cold drink or even the air hurting my teeth. It gave me the whitening I was looking for without the pain. What I loved most about this system is that I could go at my own pace. If I needed to take a day or two off and just use the desensitizing gel alone, it was perfectly fine and I could move on when ready.

With Smile Brilliant, you’ll receive the package with everything inside and explicit instructions. Your first task is to make the molds of your teeth which was pretty easy to do. You send those into the address given and within a week, you’ll have your custom fitted trays for your teeth and you can begin your treatments. All you do is brush your teeth with water only first, then put a thin layer of the whitening gel into your trays, place on dry teeth, and let them set for 45 minutes up to 3 hours per session. With a busy life, an hour to an hour and a half was typically all of the time I had but I was still very happy with the results. Once you’re finished with a whitening session, you rinse off and dry your trays, brush your teeth with a non-whitening toothpaste, and put a thin layer of the desensitizing gel inside. You leave that on your teeth for 15 – 20 minutes. The desensitizing gel is actually pretty nice and has a good taste. The directions say to take off the trays when time is up and leave the desensitizing gel on to help with any sensitivity. Which isn’t hard to do because like I said, it doesn’t taste bad at all.

On my 4th treatment, I noticed whiter teeth already and was really excited about it! I ended up doing all 12 treatments and because of having more sensitive teeth, I would take a day or two off in between some treatments when I felt like I needed a little extra time. That is the main reason why I love this system more than others that I’ve tried. Also, the custom fitted trays don’t slide around like whitening strips which was a huge plus! I was really impressed with Smile Brilliant and will use them again when my teeth need some more TLC someday.
