It works every single time. Just like clockwork.

One of the driving biblical principles that can turn around your life in Christ, in your family, in your ministry, and in your finances is to focus on taking smaller steps and making smaller goals–at least at the start. (Yes, you heard me right–smaller steps not bigger steps.)

Life and God’s Word teaches you about the Law of Growth.

Do you know anyone who went directly from kindergarten to college? Probably not.

Everything in life happens in steps. One step at a time. What’s one step you can take right now that can move your finances forward?

Start with what you already know you should do. Think about what you have already been taught. Grab a piece of paper and write down all that comes to your mind from all that you have already been taught at seminars, Sunday school classes, Bible-studies–maybe some of the points you recall from radio or TV programs or from something you read. Write them down. Then pick one, just one, and really focus on that one thing. Then answer these questions: What is it–give it a name, What must you do? Why is it important for you to do? Are you able to do what is required? What are the reasons to start doing it now? What will it look like when you do it?

Then–DO IT.

Remember, God doesn’t start showing you His will by sending you to Africa. He starts in the little things. He starts where you are today. He might tell you to do one little thing that would change your whole life. But He probably won’t tell you it will change your whole life. He’ll just tell you to do it. And if you obey, your whole life will be wonderfully and marvelously changed. If you don’t, well, it won’t.

Start small and start today.

Remember, Debt Free Living God’s Way is possible for you—starting right now! I believe in you because you wouldn’t be here right now if God didn’t believe in you—and God’s a pretty good judge of character!
