THE TRUTH ABOUT THE HEALTH CARE BILL Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill 3200: fhe Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard or expected. To begin with, much of what has been said about the bill and its implications is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The bill does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession. The bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business and put everyone into a government-run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats, and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly controlled. However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead, it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will effectively have been destroyed.

The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people and the businesses they own. The irony is that the Congress doesn't have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with. I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care. The paragraph below is really frightening. This legislation also provides for access by the appointees of the Obama administration of all of your personal health care information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a direct violation of the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution protecting against unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.

If you decide not to have health care insurance or if you have private insurance that is not deemed "acceptable" to the "Health Choices Administrator" appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a "tax" instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn't work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without due process of law. So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much out the original ten in the Bill of Rights that are effectively nullified by this law. It doesn't stop there, though.

The 9th Amendment provides, "The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

The 10th Amendment states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Under the provisions of this proposed bill, neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control. I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea.

This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation" to support the Constitution. If I were a member of Congress, I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the American people would hold me accountable. For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they consult the source.

"I am a student of history. Professionally. I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied it all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes, these exist but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus.Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it.

Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about 10 - 15 years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people whom we know can never pay back? Why? We learned just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has "loaned" two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700B we all argued about so strenuously just this past September.Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it?

I thought this was a government of "We the People," who loaned our powers to our elected leaders.. Apparently not.We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy. Why?We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents,why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, and school boards continue to back mediocrity. Why? We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (now violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it wants marriage to remain between one man and one woman. Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?)..

We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose? Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, Social Security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and know precisely what I am talking about.) The list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth. It is potentially1929 x 10. And we are at war with an enemy we cannot name for fear of offending people of the same religion who cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.

And now we have elected a man no one knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla , Alaska ... All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe is more important.) Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: Change. Why? I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now. This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again. And that is only the beginning.

I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral German felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the savior was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they did know was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory and promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and waved a lot.And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully them into submission. And then he was duly elected to office, with a full-throttled economic crisis at hand [the Great Depression]. Slowly but surely he seized the controls of government power, department by department, person by person, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The kids joined a Youth Movement in his name , where they were taught what to think. How did he get the people on his side? He did it promising jobs to the jobless, money to the moneyless, and goodies for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs,and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe, and across the world.He did it with a compliant media - Did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and...change.

And the people surely got what they voted for. (Look it up if you think I am exaggerating.) Read your history books. Many people objected in 1933and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and made fun of. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though ...Don't forget that Germany was the most educated, cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And in less than six years - a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency - it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong, close my eyes, have another latte and ignore what is transpiring around me.Some people scoff at me; others laugh or think I am foolish, naive, or both. Perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe - and why I believe it. I pray I am wrong.

Petition About the Bailouts and Stimulus Package

Wow, we've been on a roller coaster ride. Obama took office like a whirlwind and we wonder how can we stop some of these things he's choosing for us. Is he really trying to push into a socialist state? If so, who wants that??? I belong to American Family Association and they send out emails and petitions to help us have a say in Washington. Thought you might want to participate in this one. The information about it is below and the link to their site to actually sign the petition is at the bottom.

"We petition the President and Congress to take the trillions of our tax dollars they are spending on bailouts and stimulus plans and return it to us so we can spend it where we desire.

Returning our money to us will result in individuals being able to pay off their mortgages, buy a new car, pay tuition at the college of their choice, and a host of other needs.

There will be no million dollar bonuses paid by the tax-payers.

It is a cheaper and better way to spend our money than having the President and Congress spend it.

No country in history has been able to spend their way out of debt.

Such a move would increase spending, resulting in more jobs and more taxes which can be used to help pay off our $12 trillion national debt.We totally reject the President’s efforts to make us a socialist government that would control the insurance industry, automobile industry, housing industry — even our total economic system. Okay, I haven't blogged since the election and I was blogging alot before it, but...I guess you can tell I'm totally a Republican so I was a little bit disappointed. But I can pray for whoever is in office so that's what I'm doing. It's time to get busy and on with life. 2009 brings with it lots of opportunities and goals to set. I've been going through transition this year...I've stopped the networking group I was hosting and decided to do Primerica Financial Services full time and the Goody Gifts business part time. Sometimes it's just time for a change!!!

Two things I just read I want to pass on to you:
"Success is inevitable if you do the right things long enough, with the right intensity." Quote from Art Williams.
"Get a goal, get a plan, and get started." Quote from someone else.

So what do you have planned for 2009. I have a dream board but I need to add to it. And I'm going to take a week or two to get my goals in order. And my pastor has suggested we write a decree over our lives (before next Sunday). I think that's a wonderful thing to do so I'm going to get right on it.

I Just Voted!

I just voted and it was so exciting!!! We are making history today!!! I encourage everyone...don't let your right as an American citizen and your civic duty pass you by today without getting to the polls and voting. Where I vote, here in Mobile, AL, there was no one in the E-G line so I walked right up signed in and was out within 10 minutes. And I was #615. I realize it is harder in other places but right here it was alot easier and I praise God for the public officials doing such a great job here.

My church had an almost 3 hour prayer time for the election today and for our nation and for Israel. And we decided we needed to just keep that up instead of just for special occasions. God bless you all!

What Will Happen to Your 401K Plan???

"House Democrats recently invited Teresa Ghilarducci, a professor at the New School of Social Research, to testify before a subcommittee on her idea to eliminate the preferential tax treatment of the popular retirement plans. In place of 401(k) plans, she would have workers transfer their dough into government-created "guaranteed retirement accounts" for every worker. The government would deposit $600 (inflation indexed) every year into the GRAs. Each worker would also have to save 5 percent of pay into the accounts, to which the government would pay a measly 3 percent return. Rep. Jim McDermott, a Democrat from Washington and chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee's Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support, said that since "the savings rate isn't going up for the investment of $80 billion [in 401(k) tax breaks], we have to start to think about whether or not we want to continue to invest that $80 billion for a policy that's not generating what we now say it should."

What??? Why are they thinking of messing with people's 401k plans????

Read the entire article here, and by the way...you can email your state representatives and senators and tell them what you think. When that $700 billion mess up was up for a vote, I wrote my senators and representative. My senators here in Alabama voted against that "bailout" but my representative voted for it. He wrote me a letter explaining why he did what he did but it made no sense and now the news is talking about all the money that went to the banks and they are not lending it out like they were supposed to, they paid creditors and bonuses. So what's up with that? I'm very upset with my representative for not representing his constituents because I was told the emails and phone lines jammed telling him to vote no. We vote next week for a new representative and there is no one running against him so I'll have to do a write in vote. We voted him in to represent us...my senators did!!! I'm sending them a thank you. You can go online and see how your reps voted...use google!

If you own your own business, which tax plan will affect you the most??? I was watching Fox News this morning and Stephen Moore came on and spoke about the tax plans from both candidates. Here is part of an article about what he said from a writer of CNN:

"But Lichtman’s sparring partner, Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal disagreed and criticized Lichtman's support of Obama's tax plan. Moore warned that Obama advocates "a tax plan that puts a big bulls-eye on the small businesses." He also warned that Obama’s plan to raise taxes on dividends and capital gains will discourage investment.

Moore is the senior economics writer for the Wall Street Journal and co-author of “The End of Prosperity.” According to Moore, Obama's plan would raise taxes on 50 percent of small businesses with 20 or more employees. While Moore did not argue with Lichtman's claim about the "crashing failure" of the Bush tax cuts on “Your $$$$$,” he has opposed that view in the past. A 2007 BMI report quoted Moore's March 2003 testimony before the House of Representatives when he stated it is a myth that the "Bush tax cut won't stimulate economic growth or jobs." In that testimony, Moore cited the job growth that followed the Kennedy and Reagan tax cuts.

Moore warned that Obama's plan lacks a "wealth creation" component and is about "robbing from Peter and giving to Paul." Echoing John McCain's remarks about Obama's tax plan, Moore said that Obama is about "redistributing income" and that he wants to "share the wealth." He later asked how Obama expects to strengthen the economy by raising taxes.

'THE PRIVATE SECTOR got us into this mess. The government has to get us out of it.

"That's Barney Frank's story, and he's sticking to it. As the Massachusetts Democrat has explained it in recent days, the current financial crisis is the spawn of the free market run amok, with the political class guilty only of failing to rein the capitalists in. The Wall Street meltdown was caused by "bad decisions that were made by people in the private sector," Frank said; the country is in dire straits today "thanks to a conservative philosophy that says the market knows best." And that philosophy goes "back to Ronald Reagan, when at his inauguration he said, 'Government is not the answer to our problems; government is the problem.' "

In fact, that isn't what Reagan said. His actual words were: "In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem." Were he president today, he would be saying much the same thing.

Because while the mortgage crisis convulsing Wall Street has its share of private-sector culprits -- many of whom have been learning lately just how pitiless the private sector’s discipline can be -- they weren't the ones who "got us into this mess." Barney Frank's talking points notwithstanding, mortgage lenders didn't wake up one fine day deciding to junk long-held standards of creditworthiness in order to make ill-advised loans to unqualified borrowers. It would be closer to the truth to say they woke up to find the government twisting their arms and demanding that they do so - or else.

The roots of this crisis go back to the Carter administration. That was when government officials, egged on by left-wing activists, began accusing mortgage lenders of racism and "redlining" because urban blacks were being denied mortgages at a higher rate than suburban whites.

"Stop investing because of a 'maybe' recession? Absolutely not," Ramsey responded. "If we go into a full-blown recession, that would be a GREAT time to invest: It's like going to K-Mart when the blue light is on!

"Think about it: You've lost money in the stock market lately because your investments are worth less now than they were a few months ago. That's a bummer for the stocks you already own, but what about the ones you would like to buy? It's kind of like stocks are on sale at the moment. If you were given $10,000 to invest in Coca-Cola, when would you want purchase shares? When they were $60 or $35 per share? The market has never, never, never lost money over the long-term. So, go ahead and buy now; you'll be happy you did later."

Does Catherine have more reason to be concerned, since it sounds as if she might be retiring in the next ten years? "One hundred percent of 10-year periods in the stock market have made money," he answered. "She's only (about) 56. She's not going to lose all of her retirement before she's 65. Stay the course!"

"SHOULD I RECESSION-PROOF MY 401(k) BY SWAPPING OUT RISKIER STOCKS FOR BONDS?" asks Lisa, from North Carolina. "No," Ramsey said. "Bonds aren't necessarily safe, particularly when the Fed is pushing rates down. Bonds under-performed stocks for 70 years. Don't try to time the market, pulling in and out of 'safe' investments. Lots of statistics prove that if you invest steadily, you'll win in the end." Again, according to Ramsey, now isn't the time to change your basic investment strategies. General investors will come out of this period OK, if they stick with their game plan..."

Because I work in the financial industry, people have been asking me why is now a good time to invest. The easiest way to answer them is to tell them about what Dave Ramsey says and what Warren Buffett is doing. So here's one of the stories:

"Warren Buffett, a.k.a. the "Oracle of Omaha" for his savvy investments, is shopping his way through the financial crisis. Even before Washington passed the bailout bill, his Berkshire Hathaway holding company had put $3 billion into General Electric and $5 billion into Goldman Sachs, and he admits he's trawling for more good deals. "You want to be greedy when others are fearful ... It's that simple," he said in a PBS interview with Charlie Rose, adding that Americans are as fearful now as he's ever seen them. "We're seeing [stocks] that are attractive right now." His disciples agree. "It's nirvana for us, we're buying things hand over fist right now" says self-described Buffett junkie Whitney Tilson, managing director of the T2 Partners hedge fund...

"...employing Buffett's thrifty lifestyle and his investment principles might actually enable you to make money in this market—or at least position yourself for future prosperity. That is, if you proceed with caution. Here's what Warren might do if he were you.

Invest in good, solid companies. Just because a company is cheap doesn't mean it's a bargain. In Buffett's universe, a good company has a recognizable brand name, a solid profitable business that could thrive well into the future. It is run by a good manager. And it has low debt levels and cash on hand, so that it can afford to weather a recession or credit-market squeeze without going belly up...

Think long term, and keep the faith. Buffett is well known for being a long-term buy-and-hold investor. He's investing in companies today that he expects might not pay off for three to five years or more. Today's troubles are just that, he has asserted. "This country is going to be living better 10 years from now than it is now. It will be living better in 20 years from now than 10 years from now," he said in his PBS interview. Be similarly upbeat about the long view, and it makes it easier to go shopping during the sell-offs.
Do something that gets your mind off of your financial troubles. Buffett plays bridge 12 hours a week. See your friends, rent a good movie and count your blessings. Try not to dwell on the money you're losing now ... or at least train yourself to see it as a great opportunity. You know Warren would."

What About the debate, huh??? (Now that the bailout is over with I want to talk about it for a bit.) I was so proud of Sarah Palin; she did excellent in that debate. I need to send her a "WooHoo" card. She was precise, right on the mark, stood her ground, took on the wrong remarks Joe Biden said and just over all did great. This really dispelled those edited ads showing the Katie Couric interview (you read the earlier blog on how much was edited out of the Charles Gibson interview with Sarah Palin, right?). What would you answer if Katie Couric was questioning you on what you read as if you were illiterate? I would be insulted! And by the w ay, I read an April 10 article that said: "Katie Couric and CBS News are talking for the first time about her giving up the anchor chair after the November election if her ratings don't improve, a course that could result in her leaving the network, sources familiar with the situation say." so may be she thinks if she's rude to Sarah Palin she'll raise her ratings. Sarah Palin is and will be a great mentor for young people to look up to in the White House and I can't wait to watch what she does.

So we all need to get out and vote to make sure she and John McCain get there. CNN was talking about the states needed to win. The map showed many more states in favor of John McCain but the states aren't all equal, some have more electoral votes (do you ever wonder how that ever got started?) so we need to get people in those states to vote Republican...Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, Florida and all the New England states. These are more for Obama or undecided. If you know anyone in these states, go after them and explain what the tax increases Obama will impose on the American people will cost them.

"The tax breaks, which were added to the bailout legislation passed by the Senate on Wednesday, are part of a budget package that it approved last month. The House would not agree to this package unless offsetting revenues were found somewhere (by means of a tax increase or spending cuts).
As with a lot of items in the tax code, many of these provisions are limited to a finite lifespan (usually one year) in order to fit into overall revenue forecasts required by law.
The fight over these tax provisions is one of the Capitol’s long-running battles. The House and Senate have spent months arguing over the so-called “tax extenders,” which add $106 billion to the cost of the legislation, and whether offsetting revenue raisers would be added to the legislation.

The growing feeling among members of Congress is the financial sector bailout needs to pass. The tax extenders package is simply one of the prices of passing it.

And why did the Senate extend certain tax breaks for residents of the U.S. territory of American Samoa from 2008 to 2010? One probable reason: Democratic leaders in House and Senate are sensitive to the fact that American Samoa has only a non-voting representative in the House. He happens to be a Democrat, Eni Faleomavaega, and has proven adept at persuading Democratic leaders to pay attention to his constituents."...

"Love them or hate them, the tax breaks are probably going to become law for another year. In the current circumstances it’s impossible for the House to insist that specific provisions be removed. The House must take all the tax provisions or none of them. "

The Bailout Passed, Now What?

Okay, so the bailout passed so what happens now? We were told the market would soar back up but it kept going down even after the bailout was passed and signed (down to -157.47). What now?

Traders on the New York Stock Exchange were glued to television screens monitoring the historic vote in the House. After the House passed the bill 263 to 171, President Bush quickly signed the legislation into law. Earlier in the week the House defeated the measure, sending the Dow to its worst point loss in history.
“It's very, very good news for the economy and good news for everybody. I think you saw some profit-taking. I think we [will] close up on the day," said Anthony Conroy, head trader at BNY ConvergEx.
The bill authorizes the Treasury to buy and hold up to $700 billion of toxic assets stuck on banks' balance sheets. The Bush administration and other supporters said the rescue plan is needed to unlock the credit markets and prevent a financial catastrophe.
“It was expected that the bill was going to pass. Traders have been programmed to sell any rallies and that’s what we’ve seen happen," said Michael James, senior equity trader at Wedbush Morgan Securities.
While it's not yet clear if the rescue plan will achieve its goal of unlocking the credit markets, its passage in Congress removed a major question market hanging over Wall Street. The markets will likely shift their attention from the horse-trading in Congress to effectiveness of the rescue plan.
"What’s going to be key is the performance of the credit markets. Will the credit markets loosen at all given the passage of this bill? Will we see any increase in the willingness of banks to lend?" said James.

Bail Out---Good or Bad and Who's Listening

So what do you think of the bailout? Are you for it or against it? Did you call your representative to stop it? I think what happened when the House voted against it showed democracy in action...their phone lines were jammed with constituents saying they didn't want it. So now what??? The Senate has added a bunch of junk to it. What about that? So what is the House going to do now? I've heard several people say there is another alternative that wouldn't cost $700 billion. What won't Congress listen to that?

Stay a Sheep Nation

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May they prosper who love you.'" (Psalm 122:6)

“I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:2-3)

Matthew 25:33 states, "And He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left."
This is a parable on the separation and judgment of nations which takes place at the end of this age and the full manifestation of the Kingdom of God on earth. Since we are living in the end time, we are not surprised to find that the separation of nations has already begun. The sheep nations are on the right and are spoken of as rightists. The goat nations are on the left and are spoken of as leftists.

Verse 34: "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." "Come ye blessed of my Father" is addressed to the sheep nations on the right. In this parable we have a number of identification marks which identify the nations of Christendom as the sheep nations.
Verse 41: "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."

Psalm 78:52 - "But (God) made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock."' Jeremiah 50:6 - "'My people hath been lost sheep." In verse 17 of the same chapter of Jeremiah: "Israel is a scattered sheep." In Matthew 15:24 Jesus said, "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

The sheep nations are and will be blessed and the goat nations are and will be cursed. America needs to stay a sheep nation and bless Israel.

A transcript [1] of the unedited interview of Sarah Palin by Charles Gibson clearly shows that ABC News edited out crucial portions of the interview that showed Palin as knowledgeable or presented her answers out of context. This unedited transcript of the first of the Gibson interviews with Palin is available on radio host Mark Levin's website [2]. The sections edited out by ABC News are in bold. The first edit shows Palin responding about meeting with foreign leaders but this was actually in response to a question Gibson asked several questions earlier:

GIBSON: Have you ever met a foreign head of state?
PALIN: There in the state of Alaska, our international trade activities bring in many leaders of other countries.
GIBSON: And all governors deal with trade delegations.
PALIN: Right.
GIBSON: Who act at the behest of their governments.
PALIN: Right, right.
GIBSON: I’m talking about somebody who’s a head of state, who can negotiate for that country. Ever met one?
PALIN: I have not and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you. But, Charlie, again, we’ve got to remember what the desire is in this nation at this time. It is for no more politics as usual and somebody’s big, fat resume maybe that shows decades and decades in that Washington establishment, where, yes, they’ve had opportunities to meet heads of state … these last couple of weeks … it has been overwhelming to me that confirmation of the message that Americans are getting sick and tired of that self-dealing and kind of that closed door, good old boy network that has been the Washington elite.
