I was so delighted when Amanda sent me a message telling me she’d like to set up a time to take photos of her family and new addition Miss A. I met Amanda last fall where I photographed her for a Queen of the Castle cover, you may remember the photos? In addition to Amanda being an amazingly cool person to hang out with, so is her little family. In fact, you might also know her husband Jed as a tattoo artist at Skin Prints and recent cover artist of Volume One.

Thank you guys for allowing me to capture a little bit of your everyday life, and Miss A is about as perfect as they come – and what a ham in-front of the camera!

This past Saturday was a pretty amazing day, it was the day that Sarah + Zach were married surrounded by their family and friends. One of the most amazing aspects of their day is that Zach’s Grandfather married the couple along with the help of his parents. A wonderfully emotional day! I spent this past Saturday in Birchwood with Aina + Roger and was able to watch them say their “I Do’s” in-front of their close family + friends in a beautiful ceremony. I’m so happy that I could capture their amazing day, with all of it’s laughter, tears and smiles – it was so hard for me to choose favorites from the day because there were so many touching moments. Congratulations you two, you deserve all the love in the world and more!

I admit, I had absolutely no idea what to expect from Nevada or the desert for that matter. All I can say is that it was beautiful, calm and something that speaks for itself.

“Oh it’s just heartburn…”

Little did Kristin know she’d be delivering a beautiful baby girl, at home less than 2 hours later with the help of her husband Jon and an 911 operator. What makes this story so amazing is the details leading up to Miss E’s birth, like the fact that it was big brother Dylan first night in his “big boy” room, as a trial run of course. Elena was born five weeks early, beautiful and healthy and what an amazing story she has! I feel so blessed that I was able to spend a few hours with them last week capturing these little moments.

It’s going to be a great week, I just have a feeling! I opened up some fantastic mail late last week and am going to share with you some fun news! Late last fall I packed my bags and headed up to Bayfield to photograph a super fun session at the Rittenhouse Inn Le Chateau Boutin. I’m now pleased to announce that the shoot is featured in the latest issue of the Lake Superior Weddings & Events which is a Lake Superior area complimentary resource guide for those planning weddings + events. Nothing makes me more happy than to spend a day in the company of an amazing couple who are just so in love. Ryan + Amanda could not have asked for a better winter day filled with love, laughter and sunshine! I am so happy that I could capture their intimate wedding ceremony that included setting off Japanese lanterns in a field last Saturday evening. Congratulations!
