While wading through Pinterest one night I came across an interior designer from South Carolina whose elegant sense of style and design really appealed to me – Linda McDougald .

Her company, Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris Home , based in Greenville, SC, is a full service design firm,  specializing  in high-end residential interior design, and retail boutique.  Working with their client’s architect, builder, landscape architect and suppliers, her team is able to create an environment that showcases the style and personality of their clients.

 Linda saw my baby line on Pinterest then contacted me through the web site asking if I would be interested in having my product included in an online store they were in the process of developing.  With two retail boutiques located in Greenville’s historic West End and the Shops at Greenridge, an online store showcasing the firm’s aesthetic was a natural progression.  Obviously, I jumped at the chance to participate and now the new site,Postcard from Paris Online Boutique, is up and running.

For years the two most often asked questions I receive from customers are “What can I wear under my jacket?” and “How should I wear it?”  The first question is easily answered by directing both customers and retailers to A’ Nue Ligne.  This is a great manufacturer out of Florida that makes excellent lightweight tops. They feature tanks, shells and turtlenecks that come in a myriad of great colors and work wonderfully with a Cici Bianca Jacket.

The next question has always been a little harder for me to answer.  Typically when someone buys one of my $900.00 jackets they assume they should save it and wear it only for special occasions.  I say – “Heck no – wear it all the time!”  But, in order for me to really convince customers of this I knew I needed to post a video on my website showing how a jacket could be worn.

When my wonderful friend Hattie Bryant of  Small Business School informed me she was coming to Phoenix to produce a video for The Theology of Work I realized I had a golden opportunity, so I asked her to be the talent for my little video.

Here the blond headed Hattie and I are doing a little strategic planning over cocktails at The Arizona Biltmore  in preparation for the video.

Many, many years ago while suffering through a long winter at the University of Iowa, I purchased a beautiful little  paperweight with moss, wild flowers, ferns and a ladybug perched on a leaf, all encased in Lucite.  My soon to be husband thought I was nuts to spend money on something so frivolous but my comment to him was “It looks like Springtime”.  Well the husband is long gone but the paperweight stayed.  It’s slightly withered, chipped, faded and yellowed with age (a little like me) but nevertheless I still love it and it still reminds me of  Spring.

When the Daffodils begin to appear in the markets for a dollar a bunch , you know Spring is on the way.

Retailers get us all jazzed with colorful Spring Fashions.

And, thoughts of great sandals have us picking out pastel colors for our mani/pedi.

But, in many areas of the country this is the reality…

Here in Arizona our Spring is identified by the sweet smell of Orange Blossoms ~
