| Humidor time: 17 days Humidimeter reading: Head - 61, foot - 45 Appearance and construction: A few minor veins, a light sheen, and a moderately firm pack with no soft spots... Gave it a single shallow V-cut and Your Mom's PLD was moderately open. (9/10) Flavor: Your Mom gave a whiff of rich tobacco. The light gave a full-bodied profile with a spicy retro and notes of rich wood, coffee, spice, and a hint of citrus. The spice in the nose faded after a few puffs with the other flavors staying consistent throughout. Your Mom was very flavorful, overall, and pretty close to my wheelhouse for this type of rich Corojo blend. Strength was about medium or a bit better. (32/35)  Smoking characteristics: The light produced a moderately easy draw, good smoke volume, and Your Mom burning evenly to start. The burn stayed even through the first third with Your Mom's ash falling at 1 1/4" leaving a small cone. Things were then uneventful down to Your Mom's nub with draw and smoke output remaining optimal throughout. (20/20) Overall impression: Your Mom came in a 10-pack from Cigar Page awhile back and was a banger of a smoke with both flavors and construction getting the job done in fine style. Will definitely be smoking Your Mom again and probably buying more when this 10-pack is gone. Great smoke! (33/35) Burn time: 1:22 Rating: 94 | |

Gave it a double shallow V-cut and PLD was moderately open. (8/10) Flavor: PLA gave a whiff of rich tobacco. The light gave a full-bodied profile with a spicy retro and notes of black pepper, black coffee, and spice. The spice in the nose faded after a few puffs with the other flavors mellowing through the first third and the body receding towards medium/full. This mellower profile then stayed consistent through the remainder. Decently flavorful, overall, but it all missed my wheelhouse by a bit. Strength was about medium or a bit better. (29/35)  Smoking characteristics: The light produced a moderately easy draw, good smoke volume, and an even burn to start. The burn quickly got wavy and then lopsided in the first third and a touch-up was needed prior to the first ashing at 1 1/2" which left no cone behind. The burn continued wavily into the 2nd third and again got lopsided, resulting in another touch-up. Same story in the last third with another touch-up being needed before reaching the nub. Draw and smoke output remained mostly optimal throughout. (14/20) Overall impression: This one came in a 10-pack from Cigar Page awhile back when these were on sale. I've enjoyed the regular Mil Dias blend in various vitolas so was looking forward to this one, but it didn't quite measure up with both flavor and construction not quite getting the job done. (32/35)  Smoking characteristics: The light produced a moderately easy draw, good smoke volume, and an even burn to start. The burn stayed even through the first third with the ash falling at 1 1/4" leaving a small cone. The burn got wavy and then lopsided through the 2nd third but managed to self-correct itself and things were then uneventful down to the nub. Draw and smoke output remained optimal throughout. (18/20) Overall impression: This one came in a 10-pack from Cigar Page awhile back when these were on sale. This was the 2nd vitola I've had from this blend and my review of the first (robusto) shows a somewhat different experience with the flavors and I wasn't as impressed with it as I was with this one. Gave it a single clip and PLD was moderately open. (9/10) Flavor: Got nothing from PLA. The light gave a medium+ profile with a slightly spicy retro and notes of rich wood, spice, and hints of coffee and citrus. The spice in the nose faded quickly with the coffee hint quickly ramping to a full note and this came and went for the duration with the coffee alternating between a hint and a note and the other flavors maintaining throughout. Very flavorful, overall, and pretty close to my wheelhouse for this type of rich Nicaraguan blend. Strength was about medium. (32/35)  Smoking characteristics: The light produced a moderately easy draw, smoke volume on the low side of optimal, and an even burn to start. I gave it a 2nd clip off the head shortly into the first third and this helped to bring smoke output to fully optimal. The burn was a bit wavy but self-correcting through the first third with the ash falling at 1 1/2" leaving a cone. A wrapper split had developed below the burn line during the first third and this resulted in some more waviness once the burn line reached the split, but it managed to self-correct itself and things were then mostly uneventful through the remainder and down to the nub. Draw and smoke output remained optimal from the first third on. (18/20) Overall impression: This one came in a 10-pack from Cigar Page awhile back when these were on sale. Another good smoke from Mr. Pages and this one was very similar flavor-wise to the standard Hellas blend. Definitely one I'd smoke again. (32/35) Burn time: 1:33 Rating: 91 | |

This was the sixth vitola I've had from this blend and, without re-reading the reviews of the others, I can say from memory that this was a similar smoke, flavor-wise, to the others. Very flavorful, overall, and pretty close to my wheelhouse for this type of rich Dominican blend. Strength was about medium or a bit better. (33/35)  Smoking characteristics: The light produced a moderately easy draw, smoke volume on the low side of optimal, and an even burn to start. I quickly gave it a 2nd shallow V-cut on top of the initial cut but this didn't affect smoke output to any great extent. The burn stayed even through the first third with the ash falling at 1 1/4" leaving a cone. The burn continued evenly into the 2nd third, then when I removed the over-glued wrapper some wrapper damage occurred and this caused the burn line to get a bit wavy in that area but it managed to self-correct itself and things were otherwise uneventful down to the nub. Draw and smoke output remained at the low side of optimal throughout. (18/20) Overall impression: This one came in a five-pack from Cigar Page awhile back. I'm a fan of the regular Enclave and Enclave Maduro blends so was looking forward to this one and it didn't disappoint. It was a bit over-packed which resulted in slightly reduced smoke output all the way through, but not enough to prevent this being a very tasty, enjoyable smoke and I'll definitely be smoking more of these in whatever vitolas I can get ahold of. | Very nice looking cigar with smooth wrapper and perfectly applied cap. Pre light notes of wood and slight earth. Utilized straight cut and triple flame torch. Good draw and ample smoke production. Taste was muted. There was slightly a wood note and very light coffee. Construction was very good, but cigar never developed and flavor profile stayed muted. The good construction and ample smoke provided a decent experience, but flavorwise lacking. | |

This mellower profile then stayed consistent through the remainder. Very flavorful, overall, with just enough spice in the mix to keep things interesting throughout. The burn was a bit wavy but self-correcting through the first third with the ash falling at 1 1/4" leaving a cone. The flavors were a bit subdued compared to the great corona gorda from this blend that I had a couple of days ago but it was still quite enjoyable. Will definitely be smoking more of these. I think this is probably a budget line from CH as they're never very expensive, at least at CP. Flavor-wise, they're nothing to write home about and are just kind of average.
