Cigarpoet Affirmations is a Cigar review blog in reference to poetry, Cigar culture, Cigar Reviews, News, cigar etiquette, cigar art photos, tobacco history, and self-growth. This site was inspired significantly by my interest in personal development and becoming a published author (Ebook on toolbars). Before poetry became a written art it was an oral one. For this reason poetry is used to work magic in the style of chanting and rhyming to invoke or make a request like a prayer. In other words, manifest your desires by using repetition, affirmations and incantations to fulfill your wishes. For instance, an abundance or money spell may use chanting as a form of oral poetry to give a set of directives like attracting large sums of money into your pocket, bank account, and to experience wealth, prosperity and abundance. incantations are words energized and infused with magical power. Your mind can't distinguish the difference between reality, a memory, or a dream. Chemicals in the brain are triggered by thoughts that in turn produces our emotional state of being; therefore, the trick is to give and feed your mind with positive uplifting thoughts to experience the type of life you imagine because what you notice is what becomes prevalent. In order for you to create health, wealth, or happiness in your mind, you must first imagine it. If you cannot imagine it in your mind, you can not create it in reality. As the saying goes "use your imagination" and surprise yourself at what you can create, or like Einstein said, “Logic will get you from A to B, imagination will take you everywhere”.

The reason could be an unintentional act due to someones jealous nature towards you which prevents you from attaining prosperity and thwarts or cuts off your Buena Suerte (Good Luck), or it could also be a devious plot that was done with malicious intent against you. If you were a person that once had this good luck and then everything got turned upside down, then most likely you are a victim of a psychic attack, witchcraft, black magic spell, or an evil practitioner sent you a Muerto Oscuro (dark spirit) to destroy your life, happiness, money, job, and relationships. If this is truly the case, then the good news is that for every attack there is a counterattack or counter measure to eliminate the negative vibration that penetrated your Cuadro Espiritual (your protector spirits or sacred space) to bring you back into alignment with the forces of light and positive energy. First of all, certain plants can be utilized to keep the evil spirits away and wash away all the negative vibrations, but the first step is to acknowledge that your are being attacked and accept the fact that the problems were caused by a bad thought or just by someone giving you the evil eye, or plain old envy of the green eyed monster. There are several ways to strengthen your protection like a CONSECRATED OBJECT AGAINST EVIL AND NEGATIVITY, for example, but the best approach to this problem is seeking spiritual guidance and asking for help to find a remedy and cure to purify your energy and sacred space for things to return to normal and create positive circumstances for yourself and letting the good luck return and swing back in your favor again!

*Herederos de Robaina - named after the legendary tobacco grower Alejandro Robaina - is a relatively new boutique line utilizing essentially four sizes: Robusto, Toro, Torpedo, and Churchill.
For this review, I smoked two torpedos and both were consistent throughout. A very well constructed cigar that burns even with a medium light grey ash with an excellent draw. The medium dark brown wrapper is a bit toothy which is good and the extra oil gives these cigars better taste and aroma. A solid heavy firm cigar with a lot of body and flavor. This torpedo measures about 6x50/52 and produces a good amount of smoke. The complexity of flavors were a blend of coffee and chocolate. Overall, this is not a mild cigar and would classify it has a heavy medium. This cigar measures up in quality and good enough to be added into one's regular rotation of daily cigar smoking routine.

*The Emerald 1502 has two other boutique lines the Ruby and the Black Gold. According to the info at Global premium the Emerald blend consist of Corojo Habano de Nicaragua, long fillers from San Andres – Mexico and fields from Estelí and Condega in Nicaragua. This cigar has a medium light thin brown color wrapper and burns well with a good draw. I notice the ash flakes easily but the aroma is mild with flavors of cedar, spice, and coffee. This is a box-pressed cigar similar to the Ruby I had which is 6 inches in length and the estimated ring gauge around 48 with the wrapper cut long and then folded around the foot of the cigar. The Strength level felt like a medium and lighter than the Ruby. Supposedly the Black gold is made stronger but I haven't reviewed it yet. Just on a mental note this was enjoyable stick, and wouldn't mind smoking it again.

*The Series H line is another boutique cigar by Gary Griffith of Emilio Cigar Company. First visual impression is a semi- smooth dark oscuro wrapper with a pre-aroma of black espresso coffee. The cigar is 5.5x with a 46 to around a close 48 ring gauge. The cigar burns even with a medium light grey ash. The cap is very delicate so try to nip it a little so it won't unravel. The cigar has a cool minty draw with flavors of smoked cedar and nuts. This cigar offered some complexity that I detected throughout due to combination of the Jamastran wrapper cultivated in the Tobacco Growing Regions In Honduras Jamastran Valley, and Honduran/Connecticut binder, and Costa Rican/Honduran filler. To me this was a full-bodied flavor cigar and heavy medium in Strength. I found this to be a unique cigar in terms of flavor and would make a perfect Christmas gift.

This cigar has a medium-light brown toothy wrapper and burns even with a solid firm sizable ash. The cigar is medium to slight heavy in strength, body and flavor with some spice and wood notes mixed with nuts and pepper. This is a dry cigar and would balance nicely with a fruity beverage, or a smooth cognac. This is a well constructed cigar with an excellent pull with a nice blend of flavors. The binder and Filler are Nicaraguan and Dominican with an Ecuadorian Habano Wrapper. Two cigars were smoked for this review. The Name " Quetzal" is a Vibrantly colored bird found in Central America mostly in Mexico and Guatemala.

*Enrique Sánchez is the owner of the GPC: Global Premium Company. The Ruby Cigar is made from de valley of Jalapa and Estelí in Nicaragua. This is a box pressed cigar and I used a ruler to measure the length at 6", the ring gauge, from a gauge chart looked about 42 to 44. The wrapper is a toothy medium dark brown cut long and then folded around the foot of the cigar. the pre-light aroma had some hints of Chocolate and is medium in strength and body. The cigar has a nice smooth draw and pull with a slight touch of pepper and spice . Overall its a long smooth and enjoyable smoke.

This symbol is a classic example of balancing opposite forces and finding alignment. Doing any type of magic spell is a form of ritual to assist the spell caster in achieving a desired goal. The ritual process stimulates or appeals to the subconscious mind to attract what we are seeking after, with affirmations and the power of intentions of the goal sought, to enhance concentration of desired plans and outcomes. Certain days of the week and phases of the moon can impact a ritual. Thursday, for example, is ruled by the planet Jupiter and a good day to to spells for money. Ceremonies can be elaborate or simple, but one should also implement the 4 elements which are water, earth, fire, and air by utilizing a cup of water, a candle, incense, and flowers or plants. Friday is ruled by planet Venus and good for love and passion; Saturday, ruled by Saturn, is good for releasing bad habits and ridding negative energy. Monday is ruled by the moon and Sunday is ruled by the sun. If you can manage the right day with the proper moon phase then the spell will have a stronger effect. Combine your intentions with faith and hope and there is a strong chance and likelihood that you will succeed.

Are you feeling heavily down and out? If you feel the need to rid yourself of something negative like a person or situation then you can use the power of the moon. First and foremost always pray to your creator and ancestors to give you strength and wisdom to overcome a troublesome situation. The best time to eliminate something negative or a bad habit, work with the power of the moon. Its best to use the waning period of the moon when the light is decreasing because this is the best time to free yourself of that negative attachment. Here is an incantation that can be used for this purpose. On a piece of paper write the following:

Pray to the moon when she be slivered,

from ill I shall be delivered.

All that has harmed me now is bound,

Down, down beneath the ground.

After this is written you can tear the paper or burn it, and afterwards discard the remains or ashes by flushing it down the toilet or burying the pieces of paper in the earth. If you decide to use fire flush the ashes otherwise just bury the paper outside away from your home. When its time to fight negativity do the moonwalk and be the man in the moon to leave negativity behind once in for all. Good Luck!

A September 11th tribute in the West Village corner of 7th Avenue and 11th Street, where St. Vincent's Hospital is located, featuring memorial tiles could be heading to a temporary home upstate.The parking lot's fencing supports Tiles for America, consisting of some 6,000 tiles created across the country. Currently owned by the NYC Metropolitan Transit Authority, Mulry Square is a triangular parking lot at the southwest corner of Greenwich Avenue was once thought to be the site of a wedge-shaped diner that was the inspiration for Edward Hopper's famous painting Nighthawks. Community Board 2 is recommending that the tiles be stored at the New York State Museum in Albany until a permanent location is found.

Some community members wanted the memorial moved to 62 Greenwich Street while the Metropolitan Transportation Authority builds a ventilation plant where the the tiles currently hang. This will be incorporated into the exterior of a new MTA ventilation plant going up on the site, and the entire project should be completed in less than four years.
