Years ago, under a full moon, I picked up a deck of tarot cards for the first time. I didn’t know it then, but that moment planted the seed for everything that followed. I had just completed my Master of Science degree. I was searching for direction, for purpose, for a path that made sense. The job I expected didn’t come. The life I imagined didn’t unfold. Instead, something else opened — something older, quieter, and far more powerful.

I began reading tarot on the streets of Manhattan. I gathered candles, stones, signs, and symbols. I built a table, a brand, a voice. I created a system without realizing I was creating one. What started as a single reading became a journey through the archetypes themselves — a journey that mirrored my own life.

I walked the Fool’s path. I endured the trial by fire. I learned to trust the unseen. And somewhere along the way, the Dragon — the final archetype of my system — rose within me.

This book is the result of that journey. It is the distilled essence of the Major Arcana as I have lived them, read them, and been shaped by them. It is a companion for your readings, a guide for your intuition, and a reflection of the path from beginning to awakening.

Magic to me is like Metaphysics which means beyond the physical and also the science behind the building blocks of matter which is made of single particles called atoms and is any substance that has either mass or volume. Matter can exist in three states, either as a solid, a liquid, or a gas. Magic involves the use of energy to cause a chemical reaction and create physical changes in a substance. Energy follows thought and as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. The occultist uses theses concepts to alter positive or negative situations to manifest a certain condition. The science of magic are Sympathetic Magick- A theory which holds that ‘invisible bonds connect all things’. I utilize the cigar because it is a conduit that connects me to a higher state of mind due to its mystical quality .In short, I have incorporated the cigar into my spiritual religious practice. This usually happens when we attempt to strive for something like graduating from school, seeking relationships, and success in business. The wheel of fortune represents the ups and downs the energy flow of our current situation whether it be school, job/work, romance/relationships. There are moments of joy, well-being, stroke of luck, basically a period when things just swing in our favor; however, there can be times when we feel stressed, and things go sideways, but the way to deal with shifts from one side to the other is to accept the change, realize the facts, and learn from the experience to work on what we might be able to change. Once the realization occurs that the Wheel of Fortune will mix light and shadow and that we must learn how to go with the flow because the wheel of fortune (as in the Tarot is a Major Arcana Numeral x card) is always turning, and that everything is always in flux. For example, if you feel that you don't have enough money, pretend that you do because worrying will make you less magnetic to abundance. Yin-Yang is an ancient Chinese symbol that represents balance and that one thing cannot exist with out the other. For example, if wealth exist, then so does poverty. This philosophy is that everything in nature has it's opposite; good-evil, night-day, sun-moon, love, hate. The traditional Yin- Yang symbol has an outer circle that represents everything, while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called yin(black) and yang (white), which cause everything to happen and cannot exist without the other. The yin is passively feminine, secret, shady, dark, mysterious, cold. The yang is aggressively masculine, clear, hot, sun, heat. In the above diagram the fire is yang and the water would be the yin. When faced with a dilemma think about the duality of this concept to arrive at some truth. By looking at both sides of a coin we can chose an alternative to an aversive situation.

For this reason not everybody is equipped to utilize tarot cards. To conduct a reading is simple. One way to do it is by shuffling the deck while keeping your mind clear to let the Tarot suggest an issue for you , or concentrate on a specific problem. The five element can be understood as phases of a constantly moving cycle. In the constructive cycle Wood feeds Fire;Fire creates Earth (ash);Earth bears Metal;Metal carries Water (as in a bucket or tap, or water condenses on metal);Water nourishes Wood. In the destructive cycle water puts out the fire; fire melts metal; metal chops up wood; wood penetrates earth, and earth absorbs water. The five elements also corresponds to specific colors: Wood = Green Fire = Red Water = Black or blue Earth = Brown or Yellow Metal = White, Gold, or Silver. The properties of the five elements are: Metal= mental power, fire= forceful energy, earth= grounding and support, wood=personal growth, water=release and renewal. If you need more fire in your life, for example, you can wear the color red for that energy, of if you need more grounding, wear the earth color green. The Moon is in a constant state of flux as it rotates around the earth. The moon does not actually change shape it just seems like it does when it grows larger and smaller during the course of the month. These visual alterations gives it the illusion that the moon is changing position in relation to the earth and sun. One side of the moon is always illuminated by the rays of sun as it rotates around earth. The moonlight that is visible to the eye shifts in the night sky forming the different shapes of the moon.

The lunar cycles starts out with a dark sky (New Moon) and gradually increases (waxing moon) until it reaches a state of fullness (Full Moon) it takes 29 1/2 days to complete it's rotation around the earth. To benefit from the power of the moon one can start working in alignment with the energy phases of the moon to either attract something or to repel. For example, if you want to attract money, love, a car, house, it's best to seek this out when moon is waxing; otherwise, if you want to cancel, eliminate, or get rid of something like a bad habit marriage/abusive relationship, or anything deemed negative, work this out when the moon is waning and decreasing.
