Cigars seem to fit and align perfectly with social media being that cigars in itself encourages social interaction. I have met some wonderful people through cigars and it is no incident that cigars would be a natural part of today's social media. This new media has provided smokers a stronger connection to the cigar world. Everyone seems to benefit from this new internet medium as a way to communicate and be in the "loop" of things from cigar events, new trends, brands, collectibles and everything pertaining to cigars. The tradition of passing out cigars for special events, such as for the birth of a child, is very magical and special which originated long ago with the indigenous people of North America and the tradition has been around for generations.

The idea behind Cigarpoet affirmations is to inspire and promote the inner potential of creativity within us through the art of poetry, self empowerment, and the power of thought. My motto is "Learn to Paint and Create Your Reality". There are many pathways to reach our own personal development, and it is different for each of us. In order to improve ourselves is determined not only by our efforts but by the type of guidance we receive to move in a positive, empowered direction. A teacher, mentor, adviser, role model, other allies can enlighten us and point the way, but we ultimately choose how we are living by the day to day decisions we make. Sometimes we have to confront a difficult situation because of a mishap that we encounter that incidentally may compel a person to seek out necessary guidance. Implementing positive affirmations will reinforce a positive state of mind to pursue your goals with confidence. According to the holy scriptures, "Faith without works is dead". Incorporate meditation into your daily practice to build mental discipline and to focus one's thoughts and attention in a constructive way.This way we can create our own magic. Magic is "the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with the will" (Aliester Crowley). Magic to me is like Metaphysics which means beyond the physical and also the science behind the building blocks of matter which is made of single particles called atoms and is any substance that has either mass or volume. Matter can exist in three states, either as a solid, a liquid, or a gas. Magic involves the use of energy to cause a chemical reaction and create physical changes in a substance. Energy follows thought and as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. The occultist uses theses concepts to alter positive or negative situations to manifest a certain condition. The science of magic are Sympathetic Magick- A theory which holds that ‘invisible bonds connect all things’. I utilize the cigar because it is a conduit that connects me to a higher state of mind due to its mystical quality.In short, I have incorporated the cigar into my spiritual religious practice. Homeopathic Magick holds that “like attracts like.” Contagious Magick holds that “things once in contact with one another continue to exert an influence on one another after they have been separated.” Moses, for example, called upon miracle after miracle to keep the people together during their wanderings in the desert. An attraction spell works with the power of your intention. Three basic items can be utilized to create your desired effect to manifest your objective:

First write out your goal on picture of the item, idea, object you want to attract like a logo or business card, or use a brown paper bag. The Moon is in a constant state of flux as it rotates around the earth. The moon does not actually change shape it just seems like it does when it grows larger and smaller during the course of the month. These visual alterations gives it the illusion that the moon is changing position in relation to the earth and sun. One side of the moon is always illuminated by the rays of sun as it rotates around earth. The moonlight that is visible to the eye shifts in the night sky forming the different shapes of the moon.

The lunar cycles starts out with a dark sky (New Moon) and gradually increases (waxing moon) until it reaches a state of fullness (Full Moon) it takes 29 1/2 days to complete it's rotation around the earth. To benefit from the power of the moon one can start working in alignment with the energy phases of the moon to either attract something or to repel. For example, if you want to attract money, love, a car, house, it's best to seek this out when moon is waxing; otherwise, if you want to cancel, eliminate, or get rid of something like a bad habit marriage/abusive relationship, or anything deemed negative, work this out when the moon is waning and decreasing. To start off the 2014 New Year opened up a box of these fine Romeo & Julieta Maduro Reserve. These cigars burn wonderful with a nice dark chocolate taste and earthly aroma. This 1875 label has a ring gauge of 44" is Produced by Menendez y Garcia factory in the country of the Dominican Republic. These cigars were created in 1875 in Cuba, and after the Cuban embargo, production of Romeo y Julieta cigars moved to the Dominican Republic.

Eye Opener

We all have five basic outer senses to get information about the external world through touching, smelling, hearing, seeing, and tasting. But there is another faculty that can be easily neglected by others due to culture, social, or other barriers in perceiving our inner world, and that is our intuitive mind. In this technological age, exploring the inner world or our inner self has been complicated because of the way our society operates in constantly urging us to purchase things through manipulative advertisement, and as a result civilization tends to ignore the spiritual side of us and fails to nourish our higher nature. To become a fully self-actualizing person, one has to expand their consciousness, and this is done by spending some quite time alone and listening to those inspirational thoughts that follow. This is just another way of saying meditate to tap that inner voice of wisdom, and shutting out the chaotic noise around you. Practicing meditation will build a resistance to a negative suggestion from others even from parents and family members which can lead to negative programming of your mind. For example, mom says you lack personality and in turn you act out that suggestion. In order to make room for the positive you have to first remove the negative programming of your mind.

My Uzi Cigar Weighs a Ton

MUWAT stands for My Uzi Weighs a Ton is supposedly named after Public Enemy’s song “Mi uzi Weighs a Ton”. My Uzi Weighs is a collaboration between Drew Estate and Joya De Nicaragua and released by Drew Estate Subculture Studios. I heard that this is also a personal blend of Jonathan Drew. The three original blends all have a 6o inch gauge in 5x60, 6x60 and 7x60. The other two is the Baitfish at 4x44 and the +11 at ”5 1/2 x 52″. The 6 x 60 I smoke is a dark brown toothy oily wrapper with flavors of cinnamon spice and hints of chocolate mixed with Brazilian nut flavor. This is a heavy medium cigar with a touch of complexity in terms of flavor and the overall balance of the cigar. This is a good steady cigar that I will keep in my daily rotation.

The JFR aka label stands for "Just for Retailers" made by Casa Fernandez and Tabacalera Tropical. The 7 x70 Gordo cigar is massive with a 70 inch ring gauge uses a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper with binder and filler from Nicaragua. This is a good affordable cigar worth the price at around 8 U.S. Dollars, and takes more than 2 hours to smoke. It is a very slow burn and if you put it down for a few seconds you have to relight it. This cigar burned a little uneven with a dark grey ash. It is a medium to full bodied cigar with notes of pepper and cocoa.
