This was the first event at Wonderground. An outdoor event for folks to enjoy the space, and invite people not only to witness the transformation, but be part of it as well.

All in all it was a magical evening with live performances, incense, food, and fellowship.

Where does the time go?

Well, this is the next concert I am bringing you, the incredible YO! MAJESTY from tampa florida. Two Soul Shaking, Booty Bouncing, Lady Loving, Christian Rap Duo. On board is DJ Team MINE&HERS (Saskia from Peaches band and Marc-Alan Gray) Plus Rock'n Rosa from Hamburg's legendary Havenklang.

I was also doing my regular monthly gig at my favorite Berlin bar, BARBIE DEINHOFF'S. Good Times.

This was my first time DJing at Her.Story. It was nice, actually my favorite time at Sudblock. Badkat played live, and it was more or less a lezzie hip hop night for intellectuals.

At my gallery THE FAB LAB I was also proud to host the Goodyn Green exhibition of THE CATALOG.
(more photos from the exhibition at The Fab Lab Blog)

Other festivities at THE FAB LAB inclue a TRASH TATTO SESSION from Macho Verlag.

We did however use clean needles and gloves.

I even got a new tatto to add to my collection.
More photos from the event here.

And this photo is from an Acoustic show of The Honey Comb Crooks, and Chris Glen that I put on at THE FAB LAB.

When I am not performing with SCREAM CLUB or Djing, or Running my little gallery THE FAB LAB, occasionally I also work the door at different events. This was one.

MC GaffE performed, and she was incredible.

Next up at The Fab Lab is a 3 day screening of THE BAREBACK ISSUE on Aids Awareness Day we will begain screening at 8pm. The next 2 days we will continue to Screen.
That means Dec 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, doors at 7 (come early and drink), movie at 8, and discussion and more drinking till 10pm.

Come and discover why so many people risk the dangers of HIV for a seemingly short thrill, and what it means to them.

Please attend the event here on facebook.

Here is the trailer.

This was a show Scream Club played at an awesome new space called Naherolung. For this show we were joined by our new friend and collaborator Xavier J.

This is what I am doing tonight at my favorite bar in Berlin Barbie Deinhoff's.

These are the pictures from the Rae Spoon concert at my space THE FAB LAB.
Recently The Fab Lab switched spaces with Glyph Design. This was the first concert in the new space.
Now a days I am thinking of organizing a new party, only thing is I need a name.
Its a mixed party, women, men and costumes. Anyone have any ideas?

I been around the world and I I......

2011-10-02T01:52:00.001-07:00

Been a REALLY long time since I posted. Here are some of the things I have been doing in the mean time. (not nesisarrily in order) Started doing this weekly "articue" sunday chill out dj and art event with Saskia Hahn and Marc Alan at Karl Marx Allee 36 Kosmetic Salon from 6-12. Its been fun. We had such guests as Peaches, Creep, Planning to Rock, Heidi Mortenson, Mignon and more.... I am no longer doing this on Sundays but the event continues.... go check it out sometime.....

I even DJed once at Marc and Saskias other event at Tausend bar once.

and at Lena Brauns gallery Saloon De Cou Cou. Fun Times.

I also djed the Slutwalk Pre Party

and in honor of it, I decided to dress like a sterotypical slut

I had an art exhibition of my Aunt Tanya in my space THE FAB LAB. It was all art inspired by Stevie Nicks, of Stevie Nicks and we listened to the music of Stevie Nicks all night long.

I went to Rome to perform at the Ladyfest and also in some other town called Faenza.

sold 6 Bend Over Magazine while I was there.

Saw Alos play Live. That was cool.

One of my highlights was playing in a percussion circle with these strange musical tubes.

Scream Club played Live at Ritter Butzke.

Scream Club played live at King Kong Club.

I djed one AMAZING Sadie Lune Performace at Barbies. It was about Jelousy. It was fantastic.

I had a show at The Fab Lab and made some new friends from Wallenberg. Not only are they a GREAT band, they also have mind blowing outfits AND they were also generous enough to help Scream Club make costumes for our upcoming video.

Had an audio visual exhibition at the fab lab.

Had a Pop up Pie Shop at the fab lab too.

Had Mary Ocher and Sarah Macguire live at the fab lab.

Sadie Lune also returned to the fab lab to keep us up to date on her Biological Clock project.

Gearing up for more Scream Club Shows, More Events at The Fab Lab, More DJ gigs and for this year to be my most creative yet.

Since I last posted there has been an Akkamaui concert, a Pop Up Shop called She was an American Girl, an audio visual performance and exhibition by Harriet Birks with Junk

This is actually an art exhibition from my Aunt Tanya.
Its my first "dress up" party at the fab lab also.
I am looking forwrad to it.

Outside of THE FAB LAB I also organized the FUL magazine release party at Monstor Ronsons.
Hopefully there will be pictures coming soon. It was such a lovely time that I am super excited for the NEXT event I am organizing which is the 3rd in my Club party seris. First it was CLUB OK with Nicky Click, then CLUB AWESOME with Aurora Kiss, and Aug 10th its CLUB ACTION with YO! Majesty!!!!! They are reunited and tearing it up worldwide. I am happy to present them in Berlin.

As far as SCREAM CLUB goes, we have a new 7" out with the KUMBIA QUEERS.

You can listen to it here.
And purchase it here.

It is a collaboration with ELECTROSEXUAL.

We remix Kumbia Queers in our style
and they remix us Kumbia style
and its AWESOME!!!!!

We were fortunate enough to get to play "party time" live with them at Sudblock and Fusion Fest. Good Times.....

my weekend......Saskia Hahn Exhibition and Club Awesome

2011-05-17T06:39:00.000-07:00

This was a busy weekend. It started of 7pm Fri May 13th at my gallery THE FAB LAB.

This time I hosted an exhibition for Saskia Hahn. She does mixed media, digital cut outs and collages. She is also the guitarist for Peaches live band Sweet Machine. So it was cool to see her unvail some of her other talents.

Here are a few photos, but there are many more at
THE FAB LAB blog and THE FAB LAB facebook.

On Saturday it was my party CLUB AWESOME!!!!!
This party was an experiement to see what happened when I took my favorite people from different scenes and put them in one place.

The DJ line up included my best friend and Scream Club bandmate
Sarah Adorable, Polina Decay (organizer of Drop Dead Festival)
Metzgerei (Bend Over)

Performing Live was Aurora Kiss.
Drawing pictures live was V.

There was also a Make Out Room for the romanticly adventurous.

It was a very mixed crowd, fun vibes, stuff to see around every corner.

This party is part of a seris I am doing. A traveling party.
The first one was Club OK at LUX, it featured Nicky Click this one was Club Awesome, the next will be Club Extrodinare hopefully at Wilde Renaute. Ofcourse I have not talked to them yet but I hope they will like the idea as much as me.

Brussels, R Kelly Con, Human Leauge, and Scream Club goes urban/tribal...

2011-04-24T05:33:00.000-07:00

Ok, I been not so consistant on my blogs, I know, but with the advent of Facebook, sometimes I feel like it is unnessisary, but well, on the off chance there is someone out there that this is remotely interesting to, I will give you the 411 of what I have been doing, at least some of the Highlights.....

1. Went to Brussels, actually the first flight I missed, luckily we didn't play till the next day, so I didn't have to cry and refund a bunch of money, and miss an awesome show. When I got there I learned Sarah had been attacked (she is ok) some dude tackled her to the ground after spouting out a bunch of french bullshit, she says she channeled Debra Morgen (The sister on DEXTER) and she made it away unscathed, still scary, so ladies if you are reading, pleasee rememeber if someone attacks you, strike back in the EYES, NOSE, THROAT, KNEE, or GROIN.

The party in Brussels was organized by the lovely Delphine von Kaatz!. You might know her from the amazing underware she makes, and more notably the underware she made for Beth Ditto. Awesome Stuff.....The party was twin themed and the crowd was mega mega energetic.

The next day we djed at a cool cafe, fun time, brussels, minus that one douche bag, you guys were awesome.

2. The next big thing was the R KELLY CON at THE FAB LAB. It was an R kelly themed art exhibition and Screening of Trapped in the Closet. It was co-organized by Scott Sinclair and it was a blast. If you havn't seen Trapped in the Closet yet, I highly recommend it. And for the record, there is no irony in my love for R KELLY. I am for real about it. I LOVE IT!!!!

After the R KELLY CON I enjoyed a night out at Monstor Ronsons for the BEND OVER Party.
It was nice, as everything Meine Metzgerei does. Mad Kate did a dancing performance, it was nice.
Unfortunatly no photos.

3. Scream Club has been setting out on an exciting new direction. We have been prcaticing all week and last night we debuted our new songs. We have 3 new songs as a matter of fact. All about love. And not one of them is a rap song. Its chanty, tribaly, urban. We were joined by Meggan Gottard as she interpreted our songs with her body. I was scared shitless. It was the most nervous I think I have ever been for a scream club show. The sound was super dooper shitty, but I really think it was ok.
I am looking forward to recording soon and seeing what other kind of songs come out.

4. The link for our new 7" is out now, check it out
http://soundcloud.com/comfortzone/kumbia-queers-vs-scream-club

For more indepth pictures of the Show in Brussels or R Kelly Con, check out the blog at
www.thefablab.blogspot, or facebook.

Oh yeah, and thanks to our homie FRAN we got to go see Human League on the guest list even.
I have to say after 30 years, they are still awesome. Thanks FRAN!!!!!

Thanks for reading.

A brief list of what I have been doing since the last post

1. recorded a song with CBA . A german rapper and newish friend, unfortunatly (for me) he is in Helsinki now for the next 3 months.... cool we did a song, he was EXTREMELY patient with my endless rewrites and it was fun hanging, writing... I actually don't have SO many friends into hip hop.

2. Talked to Melissa from 307 Knox records and she is interested in putting out a Scream Club / Nicky Click 7". Whooo hoooo. Now we gotta send her more songs.... We skyped, and I even got to see Kimya Dawson for a brief moment via skype cuz they were hanging out. Exciting.

3. Got the final art for the upcoming KUMBIA QUEERS / SCREAM CLUB and ELECTROSEXUAL split 7". It looks AWESOME and I am stoked!!!

4. Had the funniest screening of Show Girls in The Fab Lab. Please check here to read all about it.

5. Had the Leiseylento show at The Fab Lab. (see the fab lab blog post here)

6. Had the Metzgerei Photo Exhibition closing party at The Fab Lab. (see the fab lab post here)

7. I went to see an amazing photo exhibition of Iwajla Klinke. at a delightful gallery called Styx.
It was my first time there. I was way into it.

8. I made a new SCREAM CLUB website, and a new HANK BOBBIT site. (this one still in the works)

9. On Saturday after I had the Metzgerei closing party I went to see Sarah Adorable DJ at Barbie Deinhoff's, then I went to the Missy Magazine party and saw one of the most assaulting bands I have seen in a long time. If Volume is one of your key ingredients, I don't know, I think there are so many more interesting things you can do then just be loud, then I went to ZMF to see Mz Sunday Luv and Electrosexual show.It was great, as usual. That Sunday can sure sing.
Fun Fun times at the Wharehouse Party.

10. hmmm searching for new venues to have new parties at. 2 new parties coming soon from me, and me and friends... i am activly on the HUNT!!!!! more about that later......

11. I did a photo shoot with Sara Svärtan Persson.

12. I made some business cards for me and The Fab Lab.

Now I am off to see Sarah Adorable DJ at Himmelriech.

Here are some photos of what I was doing.

Barbies, Hamburg, Poppet, Website...

2011-03-20T21:24:00.000-07:00

Ok so breifly what I have been doing....Had a Scream Club Show in Hamburg.

ROAD TRIP with VIC, some of you know VIC from Barbie Deinhoff's. It was fun. As you know Scream Club is a band who likes to eat, and LOVES Mexican food, we had to celebrate, good Mexican is not so easy to come by in Germany. The first night we got there we dj at HavenKlanag with Rockin Rosa, and this other lovely ladies whos name momentarily escapes me.

There was only like 5 people there, but it didn't stop us from having a blast.

Or from getting paid.
So we really couldnt complain.

Next we played at Centro Sociale. Before the show Romain (Electrosexual) and VIC took advantage of the Fussball.

Me and Sarah played.

This is one game I am HORRIBLE at, but still enjoyed none the less.

When it came time to rock the spot, thats what we did.

Was inspired to go into the audience.

They were a fun bunch.
Thanks Hamburg!

Fast forward some days and there was another concert at THE FAB LAB with POPPET from Davis California. It was small but what we lacked in people we made up for with nudity and smoke machines.

She was fantastic. How lucky I am to always be surrounded by music and art in my home.

ALSO Exciting news. Just had a skype date with Melissa from 307 Knox records, and she is interested in releasing a SCREAM CLUB / NICKY CLICK split 7" the sequal to our last 4 song collaboration 7".

That was major excitment.

And last but not least I have been diligently working on the new SCREAM CLUB website.

SO PLEASE PLEASE CHECK OUT and give me your feedback. www.screamclub.com

currently revisiting the SOCIALLY AWESOME CD that we (crunks not dead) released all those years ago, and I am pleased to discover it is just as fresh as it was back then. BIG UPS TO OLYMPIA WASHINGTON, one of the most magical places I have ever lived.

Where does the time go?

2011-03-08T14:37:00.000-08:00

Ok so last time I blogged I was in Zurich at the Hotel Nirwana Dada fest. What has been up since then, let me check my calander.....

Well a bunch, most of it I don't have photos of. I djed at Barbie Deinhoff's. It was nice, people are leaving their houses again now that the weather is warming up.

I went to a party at SAMEHEADS. It a cool clothing shop / cafe / small party spot in Berlin.
On the night that I went there was a live band called BLONDES.
I didn't know much about them before, but I have to say the shit was tight. They were a live Dance Band, they weren't much to look at, I mean they were not ugly, they just didn't really put on a show per say, they did twist a bunch of knobs and make a killer sound though.

I mainly wanted to go to the party because I had been curious about this space for a while. Lisa my house mate from Glyph has some clothes there, I had heard great things about the space, I had just met one of guys who runs the space at a going away party for Anto Christ , and on top of that Danial from my new fav blog Guccigoth was djing, and my new friend from Leipzig was gonna be there, so I had to see what it was all about.

I would have to say it was great. Small basement where the music was, but what it lacked in size it totally made up for in lights and a wicked sounds system. Unfortunatly the shop area was closed, but the cafe area was packed, there were a super high ratio of what I consider sexy people, and I got to meet Daniel, see Jana, and Polina Decay. So I was stoked to meet new interesting people, plus see some people I adore, like Josephine aka Lady Ballooon.

There was a birthday party for someone where all the attendees were encouraged to dress like someone who died at the age of 27, so as you can imagine there was some interesting presentations. I didn't however see this guy I had heard about who supposedly shows up to all the samehead partys with a cruch and does the splits standing up with his leg propped on the crutch. All the more reason to return.

Polina is cool, she told me about this fest she is organizing DROPDEAD fest.

I think it was the following monday I went to her house to listen to the "flocka waka" mixtape.
We were told to bring cheap champagne. I didn't know what to expect, but some of the things I found were home made green tea ice cream, an assortment of wonderful deserts, lots of champagne, or sekt, and some not even so cheap. Everyone there was nice, interesting, and did something cool.
Here are some links to some of the people I met and what they are doing....

symbolclub,aniaetleprogrammeur, butterclock, o-f-f,
originally I had a big idea about making a mix for you off all the people that I met this night
but you know, I got busy, so you gotta research it yourself
I also met a guy from this blog
www.nofearofpop.net

What else....

oh, I went to the grand opening of EXIT.

EXIT is a boutique featuring the designs of Juan Chamie and the costumes of Mad Kate.
Two of Berlins most interesting people. Juan is a super original and talented fashion designer and singer, and Mad Kate is a performance artist, dancer, writer, singer, you name it she does it, and she does it well.
There was a jazz band, then a fashion show, there was again, a lot of sexy and friendly people.
I see a bright future them, and if you want to see it for yourself

EXIT is located at Wienerstrasse 32, 10999 Berlin, Germany, in the heart of Kreuzberg.

And after all the fun out in the world I came back to host my own events at my own headquarters
THE FAB LAB.
First I had BADKAT, a female hip hop purist from Georgia now living in Berlin. She did an hour and 10 minute set, and she rocked it through and through. No opener, no headliner, all her, and the shit was tight. Here are some photos from the event.

This is the wall decoration I made special for the event.

You can see more photos on THE FAB LAB blog.

The next night after that THE FAB LAB hosted the MEZGEREI photo exhibition.
Metzgerei is a real mover and shaker, and one of my personal role models of Berlin.
She is an amazing DJ, Organizer and Magazine Editor/Creator of Bend Over Magazine.
She also organized the tour for the Queer X show, the tour that the documentary Too Much Pussy is about.

Of course I had a little help from my Bartender Babe Scream Club Band Mate and B friend Sarah Adorable.

Currently I am thinking about what to do in April at The Fab Lab, and sort of more or less willing into my life an intern or something like that who can help with webstuff and publicity.

Oh and turns out the vision wall is working from the PEEK A BOO exhibition. One of the "dream" images was SCREAM CLUB on the cover of FORBES MAGAZINE, and though that didn't happen exactly, randomly enough, I got a google alert today and its a feature on forbes.com website about Cindy Wonderful of Scream Club on Shunda K's new single "here I am to save the world". Pretty awesome stuff, a definite step in the right direction.

So I am gonna keep dreaming... oh and I shot episode number 2 of BERLIN TUBS... probably will edit soon.

I am as clean as they come...

Still with out a shower, but still keeping it fresh!

(quality photos from this blog provided by Sara Svärtan Persson, the crapier ones, I took)

Going so far as to go so far.....

2011-02-26T13:31:00.000-08:00

Hey Pals,
I have been experimenting with found footage. I have made not one, but two new Scream Club videos this week, and here I am to share.

This one is
ON THE FLOOR - it is from the upcoming SCREAM CLUB and ELECTROSEXUAL cd coming soon called SCREAMING and CRYING. This song features guest appearances by JENNA RIOT(s.f.) and CJ and THE DOLLS (pdx).

You are never too young to be fabulous.

This one is an oldie but a goodie, originally recorded in 2003 I think. Maybe even 2002.
It is "IF YOU WANT IT" remixed by Ben Adorable, guest starring Beth Ditto. Yes Beth Ditto from the Gossip. I too am amazed that she was ever on one of our songs. But she is, here it is. For your eyes only, private, tell no one......

Other then that, I have been working with Sarah and Romain on SCREAMING and CRYING all month in The Fab Lab. Its coming along. We didn't finish as we hoped, but we have come along way, its been a process, sometimes stressful, sometimes slow, but in the end, definitly rewarding, and I am totally stoked on our new mixes of "The Final Song", "Exciting New World Of Love", and "I Could Scream". Plus all the songs we are inches from completing. We are looking for new managment, booking agent, and record label, so if you are reading this and you are one of the above mention, write us at screamclub@gmail.com.

Though most of the month was dedicated to finsihing the album we did find time to squeeze in a couple shows.

The first one was in Zurich. It was for MOTEL NIRWANA the 6th annual Dada Art Festival organized by the D.I.V.O. Institute. I have to tell you I LOVED it. I LOVED hanging out in a giant installation all week. It was a magical wonderland that I was sad to say goodbye too. Thank God for photos. And thank god the DIVO institute lives on to create spaces all over the world, and has thier very own fantasy world in the Czech Republic, check it out here.

Anyways , the story in pictures......

So heres how we started. Glad we brought our own whiskey, because let me tell you prices in Zurich are OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!

This is a picture from inside the Love Tent.
There were tons of books, projections rugs, it was cozy and had the best view of the concert.

Here is the first concert we saw.

Same guy.

This is the entrance to the place.

Here is us by the Festival Poster.

More scenes from inside the festival.

The photos really don't capture it but take my word it was totally amazing.

While we were there we participated in a
needle point workshop. We thought maybe we could make a cover for the upcoming Scream Club and Electrosexual / Kumbia Queers
split 7".

We didn't finish.... so we are still looking for art, are you the one??? hollar at us.....

Me by some more art!

more and more and more art

god it was fun to hang out inside this space.

If ever I am rich and famous, I am going to hire these guys to be my interior decorators

Here is Romi and Sarah catching up on some valuable reading inside the love tent.

When we weren't watching music, or reading in the love tent, there were also movies playing.

Here is an example of the outrageous prices in Zurich. A pizza like that in Berlin would no shit cost 2 euros. 5 max.

this was from the menu of the place we ate at.

I was super happy with the food.

Look at it....

this was a brother sister violen duo from the Czech Republic. They were amazing. They stayed in the same apartment as us.

This is the crowd, I took this on stage while we were performing.

This is me with a gun that shoots tampons.
Fierce!

Fun Times Backstage!!!

Fun times at the afterparty.
This was at a squat called Binz.
This was a huge hot tub, or more like a heated pool outside on the roof , amazing!!!

More shananagans after the show!

After Zurich we headed of to Nornburg to play a show for EVE MASSACRE and the other lovelies of Bavaraia. Unfortunatly no Pictures from the show, but here are some posters and scenes from the amazing flat we stayed at.

I will never be able to see another telephone again and not think of Nicky Click.

What I have been doing......

2011-02-14T11:41:00.001-08:00

So all of you that follow me on Facebook know that I have been working this month in THE FAB LAB with Sarah Adorable and Electrosexual to finish our collaboration album SCREAMING and CRYING.
I have been putting up video updates, and you can see them here.

We have had many visitors including Julia Ostertag, Sigrid Elliot, Dave (Your Only Massive), K, Liesy Linto, all kinds of folks, and more are coming. Slowly and surely the album is coming together......

In addition to that SCREAM CLUB and ELECTROSEXUAL just played a concert at the last MUSHI SUSHI party in Leipzig. They treated us totally awesome and we had a big blast.

This is vegitarian doner place. Never experienced one before. They had veggie currywurst, veggie gyros, all kinds of things.
Yummy.

Despite being hungover, they still managed to organize a wonderfully delicious breakfast for us.

Before that I hung out with Anto and O before they headed off for the UK before returning to Austrailia. We got in some kareoke time at Monstor Ronsons, highlights were Korn and the Venga Boys.

That is Chris on the left, one of the funniest guys in berlin.

Another amazing thing we did was go to this placed called Wilde Renuate.

Its a bar that has something like a labyrinth in the back, well its a cross between a labyrinth and a fun house and an art installation.

I have never been to Burning Man, but I sort of get the feeling, this has a similar vibe.

It was 10 euros.

I am pretty broke, but it was worth every single penny. It was a real experience. These pictures really really really do not do it justice. You just have to take my word that it is amazing.

I recomend it for a date experience. Or if you just want to do something unique and off the wall.
There was alot more stuff that I did, like going to Festsaal and seeing Stereo Total DJ. They played our song "PARTY TIME" that was cool. I unfortunatly couldn't get one succesful picture.
Oh well.

When I am not doing other stuff, I have been entertaining myself with the tv show BORED TO DEATH and videos of Antoine Dodson. A real inspiration. See for yourself.....

This song, and the story makes me so happy, something so horrible leading to something so good. Kudos to you and your siter Antoine FOR REALS you are BREAKIN IT UP!!! OBVIOUSLY!!!!

Peek A Boo, I see you... and exhibition by Cindy Wonderful, Sarah Adorable, and Electrosexual

2011-02-07T15:17:00.000-08:00

Hey Folks,
So if you know me super well, you know you can see all these next photos on my other blog, exclusivly about THE FAB LAB, but I know not all of you are also active on The Fab Lab blog so I will give you the condesnesed version here and for more info and pictures you can go there.

So check it out, this was my first exhibition ever. Pretty exciting, and it still is, cuz its a work in progress so to speak.....

So far we have had one girl come over and draw a picture while we were recording. We also freestyled for a while on top of a brand new beat. We are working on what I hope will be a new fun comedic jam.

Wish us luck. I will keep you posted here.

Check out some pictures from the exhibiton on friday.

An Exhibition by Cindy Wonderful, Sarah Adorable and Electrosexual

This Exhibiton is part one of a 3 step installation.

Part 1 - The exhibiton represents the enviornment , we have tried and no doubt failed to capture all of you who have contributed to our Berlin Experience. You will see yourselves and your friends on our wall.

We will also have a "manifestation/fantasy wall" where we will portray our greatest dreams for our upcoming Scream Club / Electrosexual album.

Part 2 - The Installation. Throughout the month of FEB. SCREAM CLUB and Electrosexual will lock themselves in The Fab Lab to finish our album "SCREAMING and CRYING". During the month people are invited to observe as well as join the process, including but not limited to recording, taking photos, drawing pictures, making videos, etc....

This is a still from the new "party time" video directed by Electrosexual , it debuted at the exhibition as well with my new $70. projector I got with my extra christmas money (THANKS FAMILY)

This is more what it looks like now that we are set up for recording, with all the lights on and everything.

Nice huh? Well wish me luck. I really tried to create an enviroment that would stimulate the creative process for rapping up our album "SCREAMING and CRYING" I think its working..... I hope....

BERLIN TUBS episode 1

2011-02-06T18:29:00.000-08:00

Some of you may know that I don't have a bath tub living at the good old fab lab. I found a solution.

Roll Out Cowboy, Search and Destroy

2011-01-24T08:05:00.000-08:00

Highlights of this week included seeing Roll Out Cowboy with best friend Sarah Adorable. This documentary follows Sandman (The Rapping Cowboy) . We knew him from when we lived in Olympia, we even did some songs and performances together (you can actually see a young Scream Club in the trailer 1:26 ). It also features our old friends and collaborators Jonah Carpenter and Shawn "Nervous" Parke. Jonah was actually our old roomate, and Shawn was the producer of "And You Belong" and actually was a super huge help to Scream Club in the early days. We even did a sci-fi rap concept album together called "Microscope Dragons". Naturally we were curious to see what this movie was all about.

>

Turns out it was really cool. I was even moved to tears at one point (touched at the scene where his gay aunt admits to coming out to him first when he was around 2). Anyways I feel like some how I understood him more after this film. I am glad Sandman and Jonah and Shawn are in the world somewhere doing their thing and sharing it with such an unlikely audience. I highly recommend this film. I even have fantasies about showing it at The Fab Lab, not sure if that would be ok or not yet, but I will try. I do have a new projector now. Wish me luck.

What else..... Oh yeah, Scream Club hosted and Djed at Search and Destroy.
(hosting at search and destroy translates to standing at the entrance giving out free shots, fun times)

Photos by Sara Svärtan Persson

Me and Sarah had lots of fun.
My dance floor highlights included the new Beastie Boys remix
"Intergalactic Spell"
Its such a feel good song.
I believe DJ Shredder blessed me with this Little Gem.
Thank You!

And Now I will share it with you.

Intergalactic Spell by whitepandamusic

On Saturday I went to check out the Warehouse party. That was also nice. Electrosexual was Djing, Namoush was DJing, Jasmine Gates played live. There was live porno esque performance involving horse heads and bondage mixed with a romance between a tranny and a fag, as well as related film projected on the ceiling of the hallway joining the chill out art exhibition area and the main dance floor. There was really interesting stuff to look at everywhere.

Its a good feeling to know even if you are broke in berlin, you still have the option of never being bored.

Thank god for all the artist living here who keep my life interesting.

Till next time.......

Action at The Fab Lab

2011-01-16T16:22:00.000-08:00

I had another exhibition at my gallery THE FAB LAB.
It was perfect, a super nice mix of colorful, fun, warm, interesting people. Everyone was in festive moods, and I actually got killer pictures of the event, thanks to Sara Svärtan Persson .
It was a joint show exhibiting the work of Anto and Moon-Age.

You can see more pictures of the event at THE FAB LAB blog or facebook page.

The Fab Lab, Festsaal, CCCP, Saloon DeCouCou

2011-01-08T13:28:00.000-08:00

Jan 7th

It started off in THE FAB LAB where I hosted Mr Maloke (of The Puppetmastaz) and Ingeborg Fachmann. It was live poetry and puppetry in the Glyph space.

I wont lie. After 2 years of living in Berlin, my german is still really bad. For the most part I had no idea what they were saying, however the german speaking portion of the audience seemed to think it was hilarious.

I had fun anyways.

Not only was it a live performance, it was also the debut of the Maegan Stracy Pop up shop at THE FAB LAB.

Since all the shows at The Fab Lab end at 10pm, the night was young and I was just begining.

Next I went to see Nicky Click play her last Berlin show at CCCP.

Since I have been back from the states, I have loosely been working on adapting a new healthy lifestyle. I have been going on these long walks. I have even been running a tiny bit. I can't run far, but I heard this inspiring story about a friend of a friend who was training and within 4 months she went from only being able to run for 3 seconds to running a marathon.

I have been fantasizing maybe this could happen to me. So to make a long story longer, I ran / walked / ran / walked to CCCP from The Fab Lab.

Now I am sore.

It was sure nice having Nicky in town.

DJ Shredder played an AWESOME DJ set. Smooth Operator. I was loving the jams and transitions.

This is me and Juan of a Kind.
For the life of me, I have no idea who's lipstick is smeared all over my face.

It was the Nuclear Family CD release party for thier new album "Fuck My He Art".
You can listen to it here.

Catchy up with my ravishing pal Layana.

So after CCCP, I went with Sarah Adorable and Teresa to see Romain (aka ELECTROSEXUAL)
He was djing and it was awesome. Unfortunatlly this is part where my camera battery died.

On thursday, me and the crew, Sarah, Henri, Nicky, LadyJane, and Anja went to see Lena Braun perform at her space Saloon DeCouCou. She is the lady who started Barbie Deinhoff's, she was also involved with starting the Jamacian resturant across the street from my house, plus she organizes festivals and art exhibtions in Berlin and Beyond. She is a real charector, a classy lady, a real doer in this town.
I adore her. Here are some pictures from the night.

Other things I have been doing that I don't have pictures of include seeing Spirtwo live at Wunderbar. She was great. I have been listening to her cd ever since.

I have also been listening to Romanteek , their new ep B_Sides, plus a sneak peak of thier upcoming record too. Its fantastic.

Oh and TONS of Stevie Nicks that I got from my aunt over Christmas. Like 189 rare demos and unreleased mp3s. This is the music that I spent my teenage years listening too.

Well that is most of it for now. Its almost 11pm.
Im off to write my daily "morning pages".
Better late then never. . . . .

Christmas to New Years, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Berlin

2011-01-04T20:51:00.000-08:00

This is been a very busy time for me.

I had a whole long Blog written and poof, it vanished, unable to be saved, an "error"

So I this entry, I will mostly let the pictures do the talking.

This is from the Baton Rouge portion of my holidays. Here you see my grandma "Mimi" with a Pecan Pie. I had sooooo many deserts while I was there, I must've gained 10 pounds between the Pecan Pies, Pumpkin Pies, Carrot Cake, Red Velvet Cake, Cookies, Pralines, Fudge, Chocolates, the works.

I think I had more sugar then protien the whole time I was gone...

Here you see both my grandmothers in one house.
The sweetest treat of all.

Oh Christmas tree Oh Christmas Tree
How Lovely Are Your Branches

Its good to know that even without the mountain of christmas gifts under the tree, my nieces can still entertain themselves with a small piece of fabric.

Or is that a paper towel?

This was crazy. This is a picture of my nieces and nephew tracking Santa Claus on the internet. Wow technology. Kids are hi-tek these days.

Me and my oldest niece. Now she is in college in Portland. I am wearing a hoodie she gave me for christams, designed by a local portland artist, way to be progressive.

Wait till I put up a picture of what my sister gave me. Its a mat made out of 3,000 used grocery bags. Its crotched, or knitted, or knotted by some ladies in Roseburg, and all the money goes to charity for the homeless.

Christmas Cuties.

And you see your Gypsy.....

While I was in Baton Rouge I also redid the SCREAM CLUB website , you can check it out here.
And since I had such a nice time making the video with my nieces and nephew I decided to make another short little video with my mom, dad, and mimi.

After hanging out with my family in Baton Rouge, we spent our last night in town in New Orleans.
First we hit the French Market, and then we had to hit one of our favorite stomping grounds Cafe Du Monde. They have delicious beignets (pronounced ben-yay). Basically it like a cross between an elephant ear and a soppapia, it has tons of powdered sugar on it, and I always leave with lots of white powder everywhere. They are cheap, like 3 for 2 bucks, they are mighty tasty, world class pastries, though the coffee kinda tastes like gas station coffee.

Critics agree.

This is the first thing I saw when I rolled into town. Beautiful buildings and a dude on a Tall Bike. I LOVE THIS CITY.

I got my palm read while I was there.
Apparently I am going to get married, have 2 children.
I have a guardian angel looking over me, and I will be successful at whatever I do. I don't however like change.
I told her I like change. I just don't do it that much.
Although its 2011 now, and I am ready for change.

I was inspired by my Aunt Tanyas recent successful health transformation, eating an apple over a beignet and walking every night.

Street art gallery keeping the city vibrant.

I do love the Buskers in New Orleans.

Big Jazz Band on the streets providing the perfect French Quarter soundtrack.

I don't know what this place was but I saw all these bras on the ceiling and it kinda looked fun to me.

More colorful charechtors.

This is my mom standing infront of Chris Owens night club. Chris Owens is a burlesque performer who is in her 70's and still performing. She looks like a drag queen. I mean this as a high compliment. Very glamourous.

This is me infront a world famous club with "live sex acts". I have never been inside, and I can't imagine it could live up to the pictures on the window meant to lure you in, though one day I think I would like to find out.

Living in Berlin Live Sex Acts don't seem as shocking as they used to. Now it seems almost common place. STILL, could be interesting to do a cultural comparasin .

After walking around the French Quarter, we retired to Harrah's hotel. It was really nice. I have to say that was THE BEST BUFFET EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. My mom had a two for one coupon, which was cool cuz I think its like 20 bucks a person, but DAMM was it worth it. So many healthy options, which was especially good after my sugar diet, so many fresh, heatlhy, vegitarian, and southern options. I wish I had brought my camera, it was amazing.

So the next morning it was New Years Eve and time to go back to Berlin, ( well actually it was from New Orleans, to Atlanta, to New York, and then to Berlin, but whos counting) anyways it ended up being the best New Years Eves of my life. You have to understand my New Years are usually utterly disasterous, or mediocre at best. NOT THIS YEAR. If New Years eve is any indication, this year is gonna be awesome.

It started with a small party at THE FAB LAB / Glyph Designs, with music from DJs Henri and Steeg.

There are lots more pictures from the night on
on The Fab Lab Facebook and a more detailed description on THE FAB LAB blog.

There were nice people, funs, friends, magic, good times, nice vibes, everyone seemed to be in a festive mood. Often I am stressed outparties, I don't know why, but this night was just really nice.

The fireworks were spectacular, and it was fun to have a party so late at The Fab Lab and not to have the neighbors care.

Shortly after midnight, I made a mad dash litterally I ran, its a new thing I am doing, a health kick, ok well, I didnt run all the way, I didnt even run most of the way, but I ran some of the way from my house to Barbie Deinhoff's to catch Sarah Adorable djing.

The good times didn't stop there.

Next I went to Monstor Ronsons to see Nicky Click perform Live.

As always it was chowlicious.

Her is LadyJane and Nicky Click loving it up before showtime.

Nicky debuting a new holiday headpiece.

DJ Shredder on the ones and twos.

Move it around and around.

Here is a short video I made of Nicky Click performing live at Ronsons.

Ok there was a little slice of life for you. See you soon.

Rural Life with Family

2010-12-24T08:59:00.000-08:00

Enjoying Rural life with my Grandma, sister, her husband, their 5 kids, my mom and dad, and briefly my aunt and cousin.

While we were at my Grandma's camp house, me and the kids made a short movie.

Aren't they cute

This deer is in my grandmas house.
I think my gramdpa shot it years ago. Its been hanging there for as long as I remember.

This is a strage natural occurring phenomenon called cypress kness.

There is lots of farms here. Corn, Soy, and Cotton.
Its winter and nothing is growing.

This is the view from my Grandma's camp house.
My mom used to swim here. Now no one does, but people do fish.
My mom always warms me about water moccasins.

This is my grandma's back yard. It used to have a swing set in it and a giant tire that me and my cousins used to play in. There was also tons of bambo on the side of the house and alot more trees.

This is a pond behind my Grandma's house. It used to seem SOOOO far away. Now I realize its no more the maybe 150 yards. There are many swans, ducks, and geese.

Way to switch up Gender Roles.
Look at my nephew with the crochet needle.

The Clown

The Gambler

The Hustler

This place is rummored to have the best soft serve ice cream in the world.

On the news I heard about the UConn women's basketball team setting an NCAA record with 89 consecutive wins. I don't even like sports but I think its awesome these ladies are taking it to the max with their athletic talents. With dedication like this, women in sports will no doubt be taken more seriously.

Mom and Dad
I did on this trip get to meet one of my mom's ex boyfriends. I won't mention names.
He is a mayor of a nearby town. He is also the Police Chief, and he also showed up driving with a styrofoam cup of some kind of alcoholic cocktail.
Guess when you are the boss, you can do what you want.

Family

It was a lovely trip.

New York, New York

2010-12-19T10:47:00.000-08:00

Dec 14th me and my pal Aleesa Cohene set off to spend 4 spectacular days in NY. She was gonna stay with her friend Reena , and me with my friend the fantabulous art babe Adina Bier. On the plane we watched the dramatic season finale of Dexter, I also slept alot. Aleesa said in my sleep I omit some chemical that inspires relaxation and that she was able to effortlessly fall asleep for the first time ever on a plane. While we were awake, this is what it was like.

Clouds

Me looking at the Crazy Clouds like "wow"

Aleesa enjoying her Delta Coffee.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF NEW YORK

Adina Bier, need I say more.

Learning the definition and difference between

"Leggings", "Jeggings", and "Treggings"

Leggings - stretchy pants

Jeggings- stretchy, but very opaque fabric to resemble jeans

Treggings - stretchy, but very opaque fabric to resemble wool, corduroy, leather or riding pants

I also just found out about "meggings" but I feel like If I go further, I will disappear down the rabbit hole and never return.

FOOD

Eggs and potatoes and mixed veggies topped with VEGAN hollandaise sause. (yes I know it seems funny to have vegan hollandaise sause with eggs, but it just because someone can do eggs doesn't mean they are cool with milk. It was delicious.

BEFORE AND AFTER

This was at Adinas house. She had a brunch on her lovely Pink table. She has alot of roomates and they are all nice, artistic, and creative types.

Brunch conversation included talks about exhibitions, art, international adventure and the pros and cons of the "loft laws".

Adina took me and Aleesa to this Indian resturant. It was a small place with more christmas lights then I have ever seen in my life. I guess its like this year round. It reminded me of the bar Roses in Berlin, or at least what Roses would be if it was an Indian resturant in New York.

Adina also took us to see

BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND MOTHERFUCKERS.

A christmas special by Jibz Cameron.

(some of you may also know her as the

performance arty homeless-chic fashioned funny and introspective musician

DYNASTY HANDBAG)

I thought it was pretty good. I was entertained.

Jibz played all the charectors ( a brother and sister and mom and grandma) . Most of which were projected on screens that she interacted with.

I saw a review that explains it pretty well here.

I was pretty into it. She has a very unique face and her humor is bizzare and yet strangely honest. The first time I saw her perform was at Homo A GoGO, like a million years ago, and she pretty much blew my mind. I wondered where on earth she came from. She reminded me of Peaches on Crack, but now that I see her, it is clear she is from another dimension entirely.

Another thing we did was go to a lecture about David Wojnarowicz.

I had never heard of him before this trip, but I learned he was a was a queer painter, photographer, writer, filmmaker, performance artist, and activist who was prominent in the New York City art world of the 1980s. He died of aids in 1992.

So fast forward to modern day... there is something happening now I heard one "intellectual" refer to as the "second culture war". I don't know what the first one was, I just know that David Wojnarowicz had a silent video piece called "A FIRE IN MY BELLY" in the Smithsonian in the exhibit "Hide/Seek: Difference and Disire in American Portraiture" at the American Portrait Gallery. After complaints from the Catholic League and Rep. John Boehner it was removed.

In response, The Andy Warhol Foundation, which had co-sponsored the exhibition, announced that it would not fund future Smithsonian projects, then several institutions, including SFMOMA, and ICP (which is where I saw it) scheduled showings of the removed work.

You can see it here.

This is an excerpt of the whole video, that you can see here.

Anyways lots of Queer people, lots of people in general are up in arms about this. Some think that this is an example of censorship and Catholics oppressing queers. Some Catholics see this as anti catholic ( the scene about the ants crawling on Jesus was sited in the complaint)

Me, well, I didn't think this piece depicted much queer representation that I related to.

So the removal doesn't feel oppresive to me.

And I also feel like The Smithsonian is in addition to being a gallery, it is a business. Alot of its contributors are Catholic. If it offends them, why not take it out. I don't feel like the Smithsonian

owes anything to anyone. I don't think I or anyone else should be looking exclusively at the Smithsonian for Queers in Art history. Its not like they are banning the piece from being shown any where else.

Maybe I am stupid, I just can't seem to wrap my head around why this is a big deal.

I don't get it.

I also don't think the Smithsonian is the "authority" on anything relevant to me. Its a bunch of famous artists work who made "art history" , and any one making art knows that for every famous artist, there is a whole movement of people you have never heard of doing equally important and similar things.

So he is not getting the "proper recognition" for his contributions to art history. There is a million artist who will never even see the inside of the Smithsonian ever. If he wasn't famous no one would give a shit.

I think any one upset about this should set up continue to set up their own viewings and stop bitch pissing and moaning about the smithsonian and its responsibilities.

The point is there is just one piece that is not showing in one place.

I have to say if this controversy never happened, I probably would've never heard of him.

Ok, so this part didn't happen in NY but I want to tell you about it anyways cuz its loosely related and it's really cool. Adina and her sister Arielle Bier recently returned from the Miami Art Basel Art Fair (something I saw referred to as one of the most important art fairs in the world) They did an installation / performance where they played the Scream Club song "Keep That Control" ( a collaboration we did with THE SHOES) every hour, on the hour, and on the last day on repeat.

Some photos from the exhibition.

Now that is some art I can sink my teeth into. These girls amaze me.

Find out more about them out.

Adina Bier Arielle Bier

2010-12-13T06:25:00.000-08:00

I just did a photo shoot with Shai Levy.
He was super nice, fast, and patient, especially cuz I had compelty spaced that I had a photo shoot that morning.

Lucky I am super quick at getting ready. Since I sleep in my clothes, it made it easy to get dressed. All I had to do was throw on a jacket, paint on my eyebrow and I was good to go.

I am totally pleased how the photos came out. Take a look for yourself
http://theclosetshow.tumblr.com/post/2197493183/cindy-wonderful

There are also lots of other awesome photos on the site too, including pictures of Maebh and Dave from You're Only Massive.

Speaking of Your'e Only Massive, I did a track with them for their Fourth Quarter mixtape. You check it out here.

Thanks Shai.
And thank you for checking it out.

Monday Dec 13th

2010-12-12T19:34:00.000-08:00

Its 3:11.
Its been a long day. I was awakened by the Buzzer. It was Aleesa at around noon to begin

preparations for the I'M SO HUNGRY brunch at THE FAB LAB. I began rearranging the whips of Anton Blume, so they wouldn't hang in the food or on peoples heads. I was running on only a few hours of sleep, cuz not only did I dj the night before at Barbie Deinhoff's, I also wen't to Dyke Fight after that to see Lisa and Henri aka the TEAM STEEG DJ duo. It was still on and poppin when I got there at like 4. Lisa looked cool dancing and djing with her new black mullet action. The night before that was the Nicky Click / Athens Boys Choir show at THE FAB LAB. During that show I got a suprise visit from an old friend from Colorado, Germain aka GBO and her band mate Alex. They are on tour with their band SHADY BABES. I know GBO since way back in the day. We used to be in a band called RAINBOW SUGAR. I rapped in it, Gbo played drums, Amy Fantastic played Bass, Miss Michelle , Toshimi and Sherry Hern also played guitar in it before we became a raping bass and drum trio.

Amy and Gbo went on to join JOSH TAYLORS FRIENDS FOREVER and Gbo also went on to play drums in OLD TIME RELIJUN and now Arrington's new band.

We used to do a bunch of crazy shit together. With Gbo and Amy is where I discovered my love of public nudity and humiliation. Amy taught me how to shop lift at thrift stores, we used to go to parties and start the parties. Always the rowdiest bunch wherever we went. FRIENDS FOREVER was our favorite band, the first band to take us on tour, and I guess the first "dream come true" I ever experienced was with those girls.

So GBO is in town. I am getting ready to leave town. NYC and then Louisiana to visit my family for two weeks.

This is my night at Barbies. I was originally gonna play only SEXJAMS but changed my mind, no one seemed to noticed. The lovely ANGO and AMINUS were bar tending.

Just recieved these 2 new cds. Stoked to Check them out AMIMUS and NUCLEAR FAMILY.

Vannesa and Muriel, always nice faces to see.

These are two Scream Club fans that were there that seemed to be suprised I was djing for such a small place. I mean, being in the world famous band SCREAM CLUB and all. I know its a shock.
It still suprises me too.

The Lovely Aga. She dosen't so much like being photographed I had to take this one papparazzi style.

My beautiful loving and supportive friends Sarah Adorable and Aleesa Cohene.

Aleesa , very proud, very happy, utterly delighte to be sharing her glowing ball. She had to go to a whole different dimension to bring this baby back.

and from the ATHENS BOYS CHOIR and NICKY CLICK SHOW at THE FAB LAB......

The Fab Lab shows Athens Boys Choir
their Jazz Hands.

Nicky Click gets Dirty and Flirty

as sassy as she wants to be...
SARAH ADORABLE - Resident Bartender at THE FAB LAB

And today she went as far as to leave the bar to serve up a delicious brunch for some of the more interesting residents of Berlin.
