I want to share the cuties little Halloween Treat holders with you. These were made by Shelli Gardner, the CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up!. I love it when she posts projects that she works on at home. Isn't it great that the CEO of the company actually takes out time to work on and create projects of her own! She is so very creative!!

Goodie%20tubes

Here is how she made her tubes: I made these tubes with 3x6 strips of our Designer Series paper, rolled up and adhered securely into a tube. Then I secured the tube to an Extra Large Scallop circle, punched out of card stock.  I made my own glitter paper with Basic Black card stock, VersaMark ink, black glitter, and the Heat ‘n Stick; punching out the bats from this homemade paper was a breeze. The waffle paper is adhered along the inside of the top of the tube. The rest you should be able to figure out just by looking at the photo. . .

She said her idea was inspired by a demonstrator at a group meeting she recently attended. She changed it a bit to make it her own. THey are perfect for Halloween treats for neighbors, coworkers, or friends. They would even look fun hanging on the Halloween Tree!

The DSP she used here is Wicked Fun Specialty on page 172 of the IBC. The really fun punch she has used is Bitty Bat Large on page 200 of the IBC. The other punches used here are the Scallop Oval Extra-Large and coordinating Oval Punch. These can be found on pages 200 and 202 of the IBC. At the bottom of the tube is another scallop punch which can also be found on page 200 of the IBC. Great job Shelli! I think I will be giving this project a try myself!

Hello everyone,

Have you had a project in the back of your mind that you have wanted to work on for a long time? Well I sure have! I finally sat down Monday night and worked on my Simply Adorned Charms for my necklace. I've been meaning to do this for a long time...I've had the pieces and parts for a good two months already! I know...hateful!

I'm really happy with the way they turned out and have worn the necklace every day since I made it! I already have some ideas for alternates that I can swap out and have a totally different look! You can make these as simple or complex as you like!

IMG00682-20100803-1550 I used the sample in our current Summer Mini Catalog for inspiration. I used the large rectangle charm for my largest piece. In the medium square, I used a white flower that I died with my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker. My smallest charm is the same little brown bird shown in the sample picture. You can find this on page 15 of the current Summer Mini Catalog. These are also featured in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog on page 189. They have some really cute samples in the catalog too! You can see why we call it the "Idea Book" and Catalog. You really don't have to look very far for inspiration!

I want to share a couple photos from the Tres Chic' Handbag Camp I held over the weekend. Everyone had such a great time! These are so quick, easy and fun to make. I'll be making more of these and post pictures in the next few days. If you were not able to make the camp but would still like to make one, just let me know. I'd be happy to work out a time with you. A big thank-you to Becky Roberts for these very adorable patterns!
We used the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series paper for each of the bags. The 3x3 note cards we made go inside the purse. Some other fun ideas for the bag would be gift card holders, something really fun for you desk to hold you business cards! I love that one

Well, I'm not able to attend Convention this year for a few reasons. I'm able to stay close to what is going on by way of Twitter and the SU Facebook page! They are keeping us up to date and keeping a birds eye view by sharing photos. I am going to forward on these photos for you too see each day. Here are some really great pics of what is going on in Salt Lake City!

Next is a great shot of some wonderful art displays...the wreath is made from various designer series papers made into cones. So very fun! After I had the card the way I wanted it, I printed it off on my home printer using Whisper White Card Stock. I then mounted that as a layer onto Tempting Turquoise Card Stock. I would like to let you know why I have not been adding posts to any of my online pages lately. My mother (in St. Louis) has been very ill since early February. I have been in STL much of the last two months helping to care for her. There has just not been time for much creativity to flow!

One of the many downsides has been not tending to my Stampin' Up business on any kind of regular basis. Things are looking very good for my mom now and I expect to be back into the swing of things in April. Thanks to all of you for continuing to come to my pages to see what is new and fun in the SU world. Please check back again over the next few weeks. I promise to have many exciting new things to share!
