This is part one of a Wakamatsu Koji Q&A for a special Secrets Behind the Wall (1965) screening that was done at the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival. Part one really gives you a good inside look at Berlin on that day and the movie theater this was shown in, the crowd and the inside display.

This CinemaIsDope.com exclusive will be have several more parts broken up in several parts roughly ten minutes each. I should have most parts up tonight and tomorrow of the more than thirty minute Q&A that took place. Maurizio Merli is a reckless cop with an itch for daredevil high speed pursuits of bad guys in Stelvio Massi’s car chase crime epic, Highway Patrol. With most of its action taking place on the road with car chase after car chase, the stakes and mayhem come at a furious clip that climaxes into some of the better car stunts seen in 70’s cinema as a whole. How this gem has alluded DVD release is beyond me. The snappy and often humorous dialogue alone in the film make it worth checking out.
